כיוון ששהינו בג׳ןנגל- בלילה מגיעים חרקים ( יתושים וכדומה ) לאזור מואר משמע החדר. יש לציין כי ניקו לנו את החדר על בסיס יומי לבקשתנו 🙏🏽 כמו כן , חשוב לומר שהקליטה באזור לא טובה והוויפיי הוא באזור ארוחת הבוקר והבריכה (לא בחדרים). צריך רק להיערך לכך מלבד זאת- שהות מדהימה ואנשים מדהימים, אוכל טעים כל כך ואווירה טובה !

Un fijo en la quiniela. La amabilidad y saber estar de "Xanti" el dueño, las camareras, el portero que te lleva las maletas, el restaurante, su gimnasio, el slack line, la piscina, las vistas, la ubicación para visitar Lions Rock, Pidurangala... No lo dudeis.

Merveilleux hôtel à Sigiriya, dans un environnement calme et préservé. Les chambres sont très agréables, la piscine est parfaite et les petits déjeuners délicieux. Le personnel est au petit soin et, surtout, le propriétaire vous accompagne dans votre découverte du Sri Lanka d’une manière incroyable. Il a organisé toutes nos activités à Sigiriya, nous trouvé des billets pour l’Esala Perahera à Kandy et s’est assuré que nous passions une bonne soirée même après notre départ . Ce niveau de service est extrêmement rare et nous a permis de commencer notre voyage très sereinement. Un grand merci pour tout !

Sigiriya Cottage is a lovely, small and serene hotel with a beautiful garden and pool. The room was simple, neat and clean, with a terrace overlooking the garden, and was equipped with air conditioning. The owner and manager, Sanji, was very welcoming and accommodating, and gave us some excellent advice on things to do in the area. The hotel staff are all very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of Sri Lankan dishes, and was served in the garden in a peaceful atmosphere. Everything is run smoothly, with real attention to the guests. We highly recommend it.

Wir hatten mit unseren 2 Jungs (14, 17 Jahre) einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Sigiriya Cottage. Das landestypische Frühstück war sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den freundlichen und äußerst hilfsbereiten Gastgeber, der uns viele tolle und hilfreiche Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben hat. Ebenso den „Mann für alle Fälle“ der sich um den Garten, Küche, Koffer, An- und Abfahrt kümmert. Einige Restaurants in der Nähe sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr familiär und angenehm. Unsere Doppelzimmer waren großzügig und sauber. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden das Sigiriya Cottage jederzeit weiterempfehlen!

Lovely and peaceful, big garden with chairs and a swimming pool. Basic rooms with everything you need, including nice balcony. Location is perfect, just off the main road but very close to Sigiriya rock. The owner is very friendly and happy to help arranging any excursion.

The care and attention of Sanjay, the owner, is well above the norm. He advised on our side trips and arranged drivers on our behalf. He also displays genuine care for his staff.

This was very nearly perfect. Two areas where I could suggest improvements are 1) better bedside lights (for reading) and 2) dining tables that are all the same height

Le prix des chambres est vraiment très élevé comparé aux autres logements de la même catégorie au Sr Lanka. Le niveau de prestation ne justifie pas ces tarifs vraiment chers. Odeur forte d'égouts dans la salle de bain. (Mais nous ne l'avions pas signalé, peut-être cela aurait été arrangé)

Outside of the beautiful location, the lovely staff, who were all very kind and helpful and the wonderful surroundings with lots to see and do, the coffee at breakfast was outstanding and the best we had in Sri Lanka. The owner was very helpful and honest and thought along with everything we wanted to do. We would highly recommend a stay here, and we'll definitely come back when we are in the area again.

Great location, close to Lion Rock but very peaceful. Lovely swimming pool and gardens. Rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable beds and great air con. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast included in the rate and honesty fridge for drinks. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

Bathroom smelt of drains at times. Dinner and snacks were quite pricey but other restaurants close by.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sigiriya Cottage! Beautiful accomodation. Very clean. Great food and exceptional service. We cannot thank Sanji and his team enough! Sanji assisted us in booking our tours and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. Due to impacted travel we ended up arriving to the accomodation at 630am instead of check in at 2pm, Sanji was very accomodating and assisted us with an early check in and looked after us had a long travel day to get there. We would also like to thank our safari jeep driver Thillani - he was very knowledgeable and a great driver.

L’emplacement est top, au calme et proche de Lions Rock. Des petits restaurants proche de l’hôtel et tres bonne nourriture sur place. Spécial dédicace au PDJ exceptionnel. Personnel aux petits soins. Faites la ballade en vélo, elle vaut le coup. Grande piscine très agréable dans ce petit coin de nature.

Der Besitzer war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Er hat uns Ausflüge Massage und sogar ein Coiffeur Termin organisiert. Wir konnten Fahrräder ausleihen und die Gegend erkunden. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und könnten die Unterkunft wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

De locatie was perfect, prachtige omgeving en uitstekend personeel.

Perfect location, amenities were great and the staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Walkable to the ‘rocks’. Hired bikes to cycle the surrounding village which was fun. The team helped us to plan our time in Sigiriya and onwards journey. They were also very accompanying after an extremely long flight delay. Sanji was the kindest and most helpful host. Thank you 🙏🏻

Un petit "hâvre de paix". Les chambres sont grandes et confortables, le personnel adorable, plein de choix au restaurant où nous avons très bien mangé. L hôte parle un français impeccable et répond a toutes vos demandes, il a même proposé et emmené notre fils chez le médecin. Un grand merci pour le séjour.

Heerlijke rustige plek met een fijn zwembad. De eigenaar heeft allemaal goede tips wat wanneer te gaan doen in de omgeving. De Safari gids die hij geregeld had wist veel te vertellen en alle dieren te spotten. Ook bleef hij weg van de drukte wat de ervaring nog mooier maakte. Heerlijk lokaal ontbijt, heel verzorgd. Vriendelijke mensen die graag voor je klaar staan.

Very kind and helpful owner. A peaceful place within walking distance of the Lion Rock. Lovely garden. The hotel provides bikes free of charge, which gave me the chance to explore paddy fields, lakes, and nature in the area. Highly recommend.

The host kindly helped us arrange bicycles and even had them delivered to the property, which we truly appreciated. However, the bikes were not in the best condition when they arrived. It would be great if they could be checked beforehand to ensure they are safe and fully functional for future guests.

Lovely, boutique garden resort with nice, spacious rooms and a good swimming pool. A tranquil spot a short distance out of the town of Sigiriya. Great host and staff, very helpful in coordinating our stay and experiences to meet our needs. Lovely meals available from the restaurant.

The absence of wifi in the bedrooms was a shame, but connection in communal areas was good.

Todo perfecto 10/10, el anfitrión inmejorable nos ayudó mucho a la hora de planificar nuestra estancia en Sigiriya, tanto a la hora de organizar transportes como de decirnos los principales puntos de interés. We booked this hotel at the last minute because the one we were supposed to go was not accommodating (dinner after 9pm30 not possible, no extra bed/mattress for the kids). We booked via Booking on our way from the airport and immediately call the owner who appeared to be french speaker. He ensured we could dinner whatever we want. He introduced us to several Sri Lanka dishes. It was fantastic. The property is calm and well maintained. There a lot of things to do around, just ask the owner for advice.

Echt een fantastisch plekje in de natuur. Zeer comfortabele bedden. De eigenaar is super vriendelijk en gaf ons meerdere tips hoe we het beste konden maken van onze reis. Mooi en groot zwembad met voldoende privacy.

We spent two nights here in mid-March, and were very pleased with our stay. The host, Sanjay, was extremely helpful and responsive, and such a pleasure just to talk with. The breakfast (which, to our surprise, was included) was excellent and varied. Dinners were very good as well, especially the ribs! The location was good in that it was outside the noise and hustle of the town but in easy tuktuk distance. The setting was almost jungle-like, and well designed with an outdoor eating area and a very nice pool on the grounds. We wish we could have stayed longer, and were originally reserved for 5 nights which we had to cancel because we were stranded by the outbreak of the war in the Middle East. Luckily we were able to get here for at least these two nights after we were able to leave Qatar.

Two items we noted, and learned that Sanjay is upgrading them very soon. The wifi was non-existent in our room, and the bathroom was very dated. When we mentioned this to Sanjay, he shared that he only acquired this property a year or so ago and is gradually upgrading things throughout. The wifi should be in fact working by now, and the bathrooms are scheduled for renovation soon.

Beautiful serene accommodation. The owner is an absolute gentleman who genuinely welcomes and cares for his guests. Lots of fun activities- rent the bikes, do the village tour. All staff are lovely. Breakfast is outstanding. Rooms are large and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.

The garden and pool area are well taken care of and you are surrounded by beautiful nature. We enjoyed the pool so much, it felt like a small oasis. The staff is friendly and the Sri Lankan breakfast was great.

The team were so amazing. Super helpful with tips and booking, to the point where we literally changed our two week itinerary thanks to Sanjay and it worked out so much better. Such an interesting person to chat to and a lovely setting, great pool, beautiful places to run and walk out to the lake. And totally delicious breakfast included as complimentary. Set in a lovely location, with a great pool and even an outdoor gym. The breakfasts were authentic Sri Lankan food and the host was super helpful to organise our onward travel and activities while we were there.

The bikes you can borrow could do with an upgrade but they were free to use. It is a bit too far to walk along the road to the main town but you can get tuk tuk easily.

Sigirya Cottage is set in beautiful grounds with a sparkling swimming pool and an excellent restaurant. The manager and his staff are super friendly and they do everything possible to ensure your comfort. The breakfasts and dinners are absolutely delicious and unbelievably good value. We tried other places close by to eat but none were as good as the onsite restaurant at Sigirya Cottage. This place is highly recommended.

We had a very good time and everyone was just kind. We got plenty of Information and also used the free of charge bicycles for a trip at the area. We also were offered to participate in a nice ‚honeymoon‘ trip which was also a very nice oppotunity. Overall a nice family athmosphere

Our stay here was wonderful! The owner Sanji took care of us and made our visit so easy and memorable from the moment we landed in Colombo. They arranged transportation from the airport to the hotel and then transportation to any of the activities we wanted to do while in Sigiriya. They had great recommendations for food and activities and helped schedule some truly once and a lifetime experiences like a local village tour which included a boat ride and a lunch cooked by locals. Sanji organized a safari trip for us with Thinila at the nearby eco park. He was a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable and we saw tons of elephants very up close! Definitely ask for him as your guide if you are doing a safari. The property is incredibly well kept and clean and the pool was great! We would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a place in Sigiriya. The location is great as well! The restaurant at the cottage was also exceptional. Definitely plan to eat breakfast there every morning because it was so good!! Thank you to Sanji and the rest of the staff at the cottage!

From Australia! Very comfortable and the best owner/manager who helped us from our arrival until we departed. Special thanks for caring about our son’s Chronic pain, recommending a doctor to help with herbal medicine, and setting a visit 💗💗. It helped us get home and also has helped ease the concern. Very helpful booking tuk tuk’s to local attractions. Laid back and relaxed ( reminded us of our Yala hotel). Had 6 of us in our party and well looked after. Sigayra, markets and Dambula Bhudist Cave were memorable, and village/ lake boating. Thank you.

Beautiful and peaceful location, comfortable room and bed, most helpful owner who takes the time to provide advice and insight. The pool was lovely too. The free bicycles provided meant that we could cycle on peaceful lanes around the lakes, see local village life, so much wildlife and see more off the beaten track: our most special time in Sri Lanka !

Frukosten var väldigt bra, kunde ha fått lite mer frukt eftersom hela trädgården var full :D Jättefin trädgård, gemytlig stämning och t.o.m. ett utegym. Vi fick väldigt bra hjälp av ägaren att boka prisvärda biltransporter, hyra cyklar etc. Nära till Lejonklippan med cykel och om vi stannat längre hade vi kunnat få tips/kartor över rundturer i området. Otroligt vackert och lugnt! Jättebra med pool även om vi inte hann använda den. Skulle gärna komma tillbaks.

Really nice place with super friendly staff and owner who is always willing to help and gives great advice for your plans. Location is good with some nice cafes around. And the hotel has a beautiful garden and pool.

A brilliant gem of a hotel! The staff make this hotel, the host especially is incredibly knowledgeable, gracious and generous. We loved our stay here, especially the safari that the hotel arranged for us and the special meal they put on for New Year’s Eve. Definitely recommend a stay here!

An unexpected haven owned and watched over by the very kind Sanjay. It’s a quiet, well resourced, well looked after oasis close to the magical Lion Rock. We were shown great kindness and offered fabulous experiences to visit the local lagoon, have a cookery demo and lunch, and free bicycles to explore the area. Reliably hot water, great breakfast (which was kindly offered to us for free), welcome swimming pool and spacious room. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

מיקום טוב בתוך סיגיריה, אבל היינו עם נהג, אז... יש המון טבע מסביב והבריכה ממש שווה. הבעלים היה מאוד נחמד והשתדל לעזור לנו עם כל דבר, במיוחד עם ארוחה מיוחדת שהיינו צריכים.

החדרים נחמדים, אבל בגלל המיקום בטבע היה צריך לסגור דלתות וחלונות ולמנוע מיתושים להיכנס וגם לא היה באזור החדרים wifi. חדר הקבלה ואיפה שאוכלים הריח לא טוב...

Adorable hôtel dirigé par Sanji, son propriétaire, francophone, très présent et qui règle tous les problèmes. Il organise de balades aux alentours. L’hôtel est situé dans une propriété très fleurie avec pleine d’oiseaux. C’est simplement délicieux. Il y a un restaurant sur place où on mange bien. Un grand merci a Sanji et son équipe.

Beautiful hotel right in the middle of the jungle of Sigiriya! The hotel lies 5 minutes by tuk tuk from the center, which makes it very nice if you want to relax a be a bit outside of the touristy spot. The restaurant is great and around the hotel are also several other cute family run restaurants. The structure has a nice garden to relax with a small outdoor gym. Sanji, the host, is super kind and helpful and gives good ideas about what to do in Sigiriya and also in other places in Sri Lanka. He is super honest and kind and also helped us with good taxi drivers for the pick up at the airport and also for our further travels. We loved our stay there and would definitely recommend!

Bathroom could eventually be a bit improved, but nothing that bothered us.

L'hotel préféré des enfants au cours de notre séjour. Un jardin absolument magnifique où l'on se pose volontiers dans un hamac pour écouter les oiseaux chanter en regardant jouer les singes et les écureuils. Nous avons eu l'énorme chance de voir une dizaine de Calaos posé dans un arbre lors du premier petit déjeûner : magique. La piscine est parfaite pour se ressourcer après une journée de visites. Le délicieux petit déjeuner d'inspiration locale change chaque jour. L'accueil généreux de l'hote francophone et son envie de partager les meilleurs plans des environs ont été très appréciés. Etape idéale avec des enfants, proche de tout mais au calme. Allez-y sans hésiter.

Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt. Das Personal war jederzeit super aufmerksam und außergewöhnlich freundlich – man hat sich sofort willkommen gefühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das täglich abwechslungsreiche Frühstück, das mit viel Liebe zusammengestellt war. Die Lage ist ebenfalls top: ruhig, aber dennoch sehr gut angebunden – in etwa 20 Minuten ist man im Zentrum. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Ett mysigt personligt hotell, omgiven av en lummig trädgård som ger dig en djungelkänsla. Härlig och avsvalkande pool som vi hade helt för oss själva. Enkla men rena rum med härlig uteplats. Mycket god frukost med både säsongens frukter, toast, ägg av fritt val samt lankesiska traditioner. Ett extra stort plus för den riktigt goda espresson och ägaren /värden som var otroligt hjälpsam och vänlig. Han hjälpte oss även med resor till diverse sevärdigheter och gav massor av hjälpsamma tips! Kan rekommendera varmt.

Dåligt tryck i duschen och lite slitet på toaletten.
