Reviewed Sep 19, 2026It was my second and third visit in Bevedere-on-River and it is my first choice of all accommodation in Malalane. The hosts are welcoming and heartful and the atmosphere in guest house is like home away from home. Rooms are spacious and beautiful designed, beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is great, served on the open terrace with stunning view to Crocodile River and Kruger National Park.

Spacious room, within attractive and relaxing property, incorporating both bath and shower and a comfortable bed. Full breakfast served on balcony overlooking Crocodile River. Secure parking lot. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Besonders schön ist die Terrasse, auf der morgens das Frühstück serviert wird – mit einem fantastischen Blick auf den Fluss. Auch die Tierbeobachtungen waren ein besonderes Highlight unseres Aufenthalts: Nachts konnten wir Nilpferde beobachten, tagsüber Krokodile. Die Gastgeber sind ausgesprochen freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns von Anfang an willkommen und jederzeit sicher gefühlt. Ein wunderschöner Ort, an dem wir sehr gerne geblieben sind!

Alles ist blitzblank sauber und die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit dem Blick auf den Krüger Nationalpark ist unschlagbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren begeistert. Die Lage in der Nähe des Malelane Gate ist optimal für einen Besuch im Krüger. In der Nähe gibt es Restaurants und Supermärkte.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026The staff were pleasant and very courteous. The hotel was clean and decorative.The dinner was the highlight for us and it was really top chef cooking. We topped the night with a bottle of wine from the honesty bar. The location was quiet with a beautiful of crocodile and some animals. We received a courtesy upgrade and the room was spacious. Breakfast while watching the river was also peaceful and the meal was fantastic. This our new escape haven in Malelane!

Desde el mirador vimos un momento que nos asomamos un elefante y un antílope y oímos hipopótamos y suele haber más animales. La puesta de sol espectacular. La cena casera deliciosa y a buen precio y ofrecen bebidas muy baratas. A 10 minutos de la entrada al parque Kruger. Los dueños muy atentos y agradables. Merece la pena quedarse varios días. Y el precio muy bueno para lo que ofrecen y la situación.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026It's an antiquely designed place. My wife and I liked the authenticity. The hosts were great. They were quite accommodating. The location is about 10 minutes drive from Malelane Gate. We also enjoyed the breakfast.
I feel like the place could use a deep cleaning. Maybe I should have checked the photos beforehand but we weren't a huge fan of the shower/toilet/bed all in the same place. We also faced a few challenges but that's life and we only stayed for one night.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026It was located close to Malelane gate. It has a beautiful view from the room and balcony of the river. The room was spacious. The parking was adequate and safe. The recommended tour guide into the Kruger Park was outstanding. Breakfast packs were available for the early morning drives. Breakfast at the house was amazing as well.
The little details were missing. The towel rack had fallen down and not been replaced, the lamp shades were dusty. There was a half finished build as you walked in. The deck and railings outside needed some maintenance were well as the table and chairs on the balcony of the room needed cleaning.

Reviewed Jul 10, 20261 van de beste hotels waar we verbleven zijn in Zuid-Afrika! Iedereen was echt heel aardig en behulpzaam. De kamer zelf was echt heel comfortabel en ook een heerlijk bad en grote inloopdouche samen met een inloopkast. Het ontbijt was ook echt voortreffelijk en ook genoeg keuze waar je uit kon kiezen de dag ervoor en je mocht zelf een tijd kiezen en dan stond het ook klaar. Het uitzicht is ook echt enorm mooi en het zwembad erbij was ook fijn om even af te koelen. Ook voor nog wat extra tips van de omgeving gevraagd en daar ook uitgebreid antwoord op gehad. Al met al een fantastisch verblijf gehad!
Als ik dan wat moet zeggen, vond ik het bed iets aan de harde kant maar het was verder gewoon comfortabel!

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Der Gastgeber ist unglaublich freundlich, das ganze Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit Charakter und unser Zimmer ebenso! Es gibt einen Garten mit Pool und wunderschöner Aussicht auf einen Fluss, wo man auch Tiere wie z.B Krokodile sehen kann. Das Frühstück war under Highlight. Sehr vielfältig, liebevoll zubereitet und ach einfach richtig schön. Ich kann diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen! On Top wohnt dort übrigens auch ein kleiner Dackel :)
Ich habe nicht negatives auszusetzen.

The lighting in the rooms is from low wattage, cool LEDs. The rooms feel clinical and dark only because of this poor light. Warm would make a huge difference. Also, the pedestal next to the bed is outright dangerous. I nearly took my eye out turning over.

To much cement, no grass under foot, basically everything is cement product. The upper deck is very low, so when u walk on to the lower deck, u have to duck or u going to bump your head, no warning signs regarding this. There is also a wrought iron bar sticking out of the concrete, from the upper deck, I did warn the manager about it as i almost walked into it, it will cause serious damage to a guest.

Não tivemos um pequeno almoço propriamente dito porque tínhamos safari logo cedo, mas prepararam um pequeno lanche para nós. Belvedere não está dentro do parque como queria mas também não está mal localizado. Obrigada o senhor da recepção que foi muito gentil.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026De novo o Belvedere-on-River fez tudo para me garantir uma estadia excelente. O quarto foi espacioso com cama confortável e com banheiro e choveiro. A localização é única, com vista de Kruger ao outro lado do Rio dos Crocodilos. O pequeno almoço servido exactamente como pedido no dia anterior por um gerente simpático e atencioso. Quando liho de manhã quis fazer uma pequena corrida na vizinhança que é segura ele guardou a chave e abriu o portão. Recomenda-se para quem está de passagem ou quer desfrutar do Kruger assim tão perto.

The rooms, actually the whole house, is tastefully furnished; the bed was firm; the room spacious; the location is on the river overlooking Kruger NP, with animals visiting the river banks daily. The breakfast is wholesome and filling, and eating on the balcony overlooking the river is special +.
Was too memorised by this exceptional accommodation to notice any negatives.

Pleins de petites attentions dans la chambre. La possibilité de manger le soir avec une cuisine familiale et des plats delicieux pour un prix très raisonnable.
C'est trop dur d'en partir! 😉 Juste un petit moins pour mon matelas qui était un peu déformé et avec mes problèmes de dos ce n'était pas très facile pour dormir mais je suis la seule à avoir eu ce problème et pour avoir testé une autre chambre auparavant cela n'avais pas été le cas non plus.

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026Belvedere on River ligt (zoals de naam al aangeeft) aan de rivier met een prachtig uitzicht op het zuiden van het KrugerPark. In de ochtend ontbijt je met uitzicht op de rivier, het park en de passerende dieren. De eerste kamer was niet zo geweldig, maar dat is de tweede dag prima opgelost met een mooiere kamer. Ontbijt is prima. Je moet wel met de auto naar het dorp (Spar supermarkt, restaurants enz), maar dat is daar geen probleem.

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026O almoço foi fabuloso. Estou encantado. Faltaram frutas, mas mesmo assim o sumo estava no ponto. Chegar ao local sem GPS é um pouco complicado mas para uma aventura está muito bom.
Pressão para sair do hotel, mas entende-se porque não tinha solicitado para sair mais tarde. Fora disso estou feliz com tudo. O quarto onde estive estava com a varanda em obras será bonito ter essa zona de emergência a transmitir segurança dado que fica a impressão de que alguém ou um animal feroz pode vir invadir a porta traseira do lado de fora.

Nice garden with a fountain, pool and several porches to relax. Our host was very helpfull and provided a brown bag breakfast when we left early the next morning.
It needed a good cleaning and the shower in particular looked moldy. We had a centepide crawl around the room.

Reviewed May 18, 2026Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Wunderschöne Lage direkt am Fluss mit Blick auf den Kruger Nationalpark. Wir konnten den ganzen Nachmittag eine Gruppe Elefanten beobachten, die am Ende direkt vor der Veranda der Unterkunft standen. Edmund hat uns herzlich empfangen, uns durch das Haus geführt und Empfehlungen für den Kruger gegeben. Tolles Abendessen und Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den Fluss und vorbeikommende Tiere. Hätten wir die Zeit gehabt, wären wir gerne eine Nacht länger geblieben.

Reviewed May 8, 2026Edmund, the owner is very kind. The hotel has beautifull views of the river and some animals can be seen there. The room was very big and confortable, and the breakfast was great, and very good cofee!

Reviewed May 4, 2026Incredible view over Crocodile river and Kruger park. An elephant walked by within meters of the balcony . We never got tired of watching the hippos and the elephants. Very charming building, kind and helpful hosts and great breakfast. And all that within a 15 minutes drive from Malelane gate.

Reviewed Apr 18, 2026Die Lage am Crocodile River ist unbeschreiblich schön. Es gibt keinen besseren Ort, um sein Frühstück (das war wirklich gut) auf der Terrasse einzunehmen. Wir haben dort auch jeden Abend gegessen und können dies auch sehr empfehlen. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank mit Getränken zur Selbstbedienung und man schreibt auf, was man verzehrt hat. Das war sehr praktisch. Abends kann man dort mit einem kühlen Getränk die Tiere beobachten, die sich auf der anderen Seite des Flusses tummeln und oftmals auch den Weg direkt zur Unterkunft finden (Elefanten, Hippos, Springböcke). Das ist unbezahlbar.
Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und das ist an vielen Stellen spürbar. Wir hatten ein DZ, das sehr geräumig und sauber war. Allerdings hatte das Badezimmer keine Tür. Das sollte man vorher wissen. Das EZ, welches wir auch gebucht hatten, war sehr klein und die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht besonders gut. Es war dementsprechend stickig in der Nacht. Das Zimmer war im Untergeschoss. Derzeit finden Bauarbeiten im Haus statt. Leider hatten die Fenster keinen Moskitoschutz.

Try to put in braai areas. It will be nice to have with the view of the river.

Reviewed Apr 9, 2026Zimmer und Bad waren sehr groß. Toll Lage mit Aussicht auf den Crocodile River. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt und war toll angerichtet.
