The location was perfect with beautiful views. The beds were extra comfy. The host was friendly and welcoming.

No dislikes. A really lovely spot. However, lots of steps, so make sure you and your guests are able.

Las vistas desde el alojamiento eran impresionantes ya que daban al río y podías ver todo tipo de animales como hipopótamos, cocodrilos o elefantes.

Sehr schöne Terrasse. Krokodil, Hippos, Springböcke und Elefanten haben sich gezeigt.

The view is breath taking and very special. The beds were very comfortable too and everywhere is sparkling clean.

We hadden meteen spijt dat we hier maar een nacht geboekt hadden. Het zicht vanop het houten dek is adembenemend. Het huisje zelf was heel sfeervol en smaakvol ingericht. Ons beste verblijf in Zuid Afrika.

Αν και φτάσαμε μετά από μακρύ και κουραστικό ταξίδι , το σπίτι ήταν ανταμειφτικό. Είχαμε μια πολύ σύντομη διαμονή , μιας και αργήσαμε να φτάσουμε στο κατάλυμα, λόγω έργων στο δρόμο και κάποιου τροχαίου που είχε συμβεί. Επίσης φύγαμε πολύ νωρίς το πρωί για να μπούμε στο Kruger Park . Παρόλα αυτά η ιδιοκτήτρια πολύ ευγενικά μας περίμενε κατά την άφιξή μας(με 2 ώρες καθυστέρηση) και μας έδωσε αξιόπιστες πληροφορίες για φαγητό και ανεφοδιασμό. Το chek-out ήταν πολύ εύκολο και γρήγορο. Το κατάλυμα εσωτερικά είναι εξαιρετικό , άνετο , λειτουργικό και καθαρό για 10 άτομα που είμασταν και όπως δείχνουν και οι φωτογραφίες βρίσκεται σε εξαιρετικό σημείο μπροστά στο Crododile River . Ιδανικά πρέπει κάποιος να έχει λίγο χρόνο για να απολαύσει την δραστηριότητα των ζώων στο ποτάμι , όταν κατεβαίνουν να πιούν νερό ή όταν κυνηγάνε . Συμβουλή μου να φτάσετε μέρα και να μείνετε τουλάχιστον άλλη μια μέρα για να έχετε την ευκαιρία να δείτε τα ζώα στη καθημερινότητα τους ενώ χαλαρώνετε σε ένα καταπληκτικό σπίτι . Εννοείται ότι θέλουμε να ξαναπάμε !!!

Χρειάζεται λίγη περισσότερη προσοχή στα σκαλοπάτια της βεράντας, ειδικά το βράδυ και όλα θα είναι μια χαρά.

Wir waren 5 Nächte in Hennie's Rest und waren total begeistert. Unsere Gastgeberin Cornelia ist ein wunderbarer Mensch. Wir wurden von Anfang an herzlich aufgenommen. Das Apartment hat viel Charm und ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Es war super sauber und der Ausblick auf den Crocodile River ist einfach nur toll. Man sollte seine Zeit beim Duschen planen, aber das war kein Problem. Wir können das Apartment uneingeschränkt sehr empfehlen und danken Cornelia für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt.

Hôte très accueillante. Parking bien sécurisé. Belle vue sur la rivière où l'on peut observer des animaux. Bonne literie. Logement très bien équipé et bien propre. A 10 minutes de la porte Malelane du parc Kruger. Pas possible d'aller au resto à pied le soir, pas d'Uber. Par contre immense Spar avec plats à emporter. Personnellement, nous avons demandé la livraison de pizzas.

Fantastische Lage direkt am Crocodile River. Nilpferde, Elefanten und verschiedene Antilopenarten sind von der Veranda zu beobachten.

First of all: no, you do not pay extra for the air conditioning, contrary to what some reviews say. Yes, the AC has to be set to a maximum of 20°C (possibly due to power consumption). There is a washing machine (very convenient) and a dishwasher. These are not allowed to run after 5 PM (again, likely because of electricity usage). The showers are perfectly fine. Our girls even took a bath, and afterward we were still able to shower. The water turned cold for a moment, but then warmed up again, totally manageable. Unfortunately, we didn’t see an elephant at the fence during our 5-night stay, but we did spot hippos, crocodiles, and waterbucks! The location is phenomenal, and the host is very friendly (I had read mixed reviews about that as well). I would definitely come back here again! Really happy we stayed for 5 nights explored Kruger at a relaxed pace (saw the Big Five) and checked out Malelane. There’s also a Superspar nearby, which is huge! With CD Tours we've been picked up here and drove a morning game drive in Kruger. Great!

Pool mit Ausblick auf den Fluss war sehr schön. Tolle Ausstattung in der Küche inkl. Heissluftfritteuse.

Draußen viele Mücken durch Nähe des Flusses. Bei dem Zimmer/ Wohnung im Erdgeschoss fühlte man sich etwas beengt aufgrund der niedrigen Decken und fehlendem Ausblick

Leider konnten wir die liebevoll gestaltete Terrasse nicht nutzen. Die Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Eine tolle Wohnung mit direktem Ausblick auf den Crocodile River. Ausserdem eine sehr nette Gastgeberin. Wir waren das zweite Mal dort und kommen gerne wieder.

The host was on-site and incredibly helpful. The property and setting were exceptional, better than the photos on Booking.com Best bush accommodatiion we have ever had right on natures doorstep.

Het was nogal donker en sfeerloos in het appartement, teveel regels maakt dat je je ook niet heel welkom voelt.

Die Lage ist umwerfend. Tolle Atmosphäre. Einfach alles.

The view and the location are good

The attitude of the owner. 2minutes after the end of the rental, the owner asks us if we planned to stay one more night. The tone was not nice. The room was empty since one hour to let the cleaning team clean the apartment. We were outside, enjoying the pool. We asked the cleaning team if we could use the pool until noon which they accepted. It looks like they cannot make this kind of decision. The AC is working so so. Set on the 21° ( the owner asks us to not go below 19°), the AC stops working in the middle of the night. There is enough water for one shower and then you have to wait for 20min for a second shower.

A wonderful experience beyond expectation! The host was so friendly and helpful ! The retro interior designs of every corners in house are amazing ! One room with own balcony with riverside view ! Facilities are ample with good functionality. The common areas are extraordinary . We love the views and relaxing area , just enjoying the serene and private moments . We even saw a large group of elephants in the opposite river .

The host was absolutely lovely, the facilities were clean and comfortable, the location was amazing - we so so many animals by the river. The pool was such a bonus addition! We will definitely be back

The view was exactly and even better than advertised, facilities were absolutely brilliant regardless of the bugs which is part of nature anyway.

Nothing really, all was good and reasonable. The aircon's prepaid units were enough but it would have been nice to know beforehand what the protocol was, it did not affect us at all but upfront info would have been nice

Aircons not working properly( very old) and only allocated a minimum of electricity, then you have to top up. Nothing mentioned when booking or advertising

Absolutely stunning place! Had everything we needed and more! The views were incredible! Had elephants greeting us right next to the wall, we saw waterbuck, hippos and crocodiles too. It was amazing, wish we had booked for a few more days! We will definitely return with our next trip! Thanks to all the wonderful staff as well!

Wundervolle Lage und Aussicht, haben Elefanten, Hippos und Krokodile direkt vor Ort hautnah erleben dürfen. Die Terasse ist der Wahnsinn. Liesl war eine tolle Gastgeberin und hat uns abends sogar ein einheimisches Gericht gekocht. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Die Luft im Appartment war teils etwas klamm.

incroyable ! le logement est super, confortable et propre. Il offre une vue grandiose sur la rivière où des animaux viennent s'abreuver. L'accueil pas la propriétaire et ses recommandations sont très agréables.

Le logement est incroyable, en bord de la Crocodile River, juste en face du parc Kruger. On n'a pas eu la chance de voir beaucoup d'animaux depuis la belle terrasse, mais il y a toujours des hippopotames, crocodiles, antilopes et oiseaux qui s'y promènent. Tout est décoré avec goût, et Cordelia est très accueillante.

The locations were fabulous. We saw different animals in the river. Elephants came right up to the deck.

The property next to Hennie's rest is being developed and it was noisy during the day. But I know it is temporary and will soon be nice and peaceful to sit on the deck and look out over the river.

Je ne pensais pas que la terrasse et la piscine étaient pour 2 logements. Pas dérangeant car nous nous sommes à peine croisé. Dommage que la piscine n’était pas plus lavé, même si elle était froide car en hiver, il faisait 28º dehors et les enfants sont allés se baigner

Not wheelchair accessible at all (contrary to the claim), a noisy building site next door, impossible to access the deck with river and bush views (the best feature of the property). Told we had to pay for a lost key and remote … R700. We spent at least an hour in the morning retracing our steps from the previous night, found the lost items and returned them to the disgruntled hostess. No recognition of our efforts, no thank you. Particularly offensive to me the wheelchair user … the hostess could only speak to my friend and not to me. Even when I had asked a question she directed her gaze and comments to my friend. Bizarre.

Amazed to find that we had booked a complete self contained unit with access to a viewing deck overlooking the Kruger Park.

Great place and location. Highly recommended for the views and relaxation. Great staff as well!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

The location is amazing: beautiful view on the river and the animals are coming really close. The place is peaceful, it is really nice to enjoy the pool. The host is really nice and helpful.

Wild animals just walk by the house. Seen elephants, hippo's, buffalo and many more animals. Big place, nice rooms with great showers and bath. Hostess is a very nice lady!

That we had to leave because we needed to go home again😉

Absolutely stunning views and the property was very well kept and clean

We really enjoyed staying here. The elephants came right up to the deck. At night, we heard lions nearby. It’s a magical place. The view from the deck is the Kruger National Park, and it’s exciting looking out the window in the morning knowing you could see anything. There’s crocodiles, hippos, waterbuck, elephants, impala always nearby.

The location is incredible ,its right on the river front just opposite the Kruger Park. The amount of game you are able to see just sitting on the deck or veranda is amazing. Staying at Hennies Rest was an experience. Cornelia was an amazing host.

For the price, aircon should not be prepaid. a room without a window should have better airflow....aircon....very hot.

I was lucky to find that place ! Need more days to stay and enjoy , but we were in rush . Fantastic location , view and interior ! Dreams comes true! Wild life just outside the terrace . You can hear night life of Kruger park ! We had problem with the car , but got support on place , and much appreciated on that !!!! Cornelia and her family is the Best !!!

We had such an amazing time at Hennie’s Rest, we flew into Kruger Mpumalanga Airport and it was an easy drive to get to Malelane and Hennie’s rest from there! We arrived to a warm welcome from Cornelia who gave us advice on the best game drives in Kruger park and where to pick up a good pair of binoculars so we had the best experience! We went on a sunset drive the day we arrived thanks to Cornelia’s knowledge of the Malelane gate which is a very convenient 10 minute drive away. When we weren’t heading into the park we had an amazing time looking out over the crocodile river and spotting a large variety of wildlife from elephants, crocodiles and kudu to king fishers, geckos and guinea fowl. Throughout the day we were entertained by the animals, even when braaing in the dark we had some hippos join us. Cornelia is an excellent host with excellent knowledge of the local area and the ins and outs of visiting South Africa as a tourist. We would have been in quite a pickle if we hadn’t read Cornelia’s info on car rentals and ensuring we had a document saying we could take it into Eswatini - thankfully we were able to go to the local branch and get that sorted before arriving at the border! I was especially thankful for the homey addition of hot water bottles for the slightly chillier evenings. Thanks for looking after us so well and sharing your amazing spot in the world- we have already let our friends know about your beautiful spot and would recommend it to anyone!

Hosts welcome and advise was only exceded by the position on the Crocodile river. Will spend more time next time

The accommodation was excellent and of course the view of the Crocodile river was superb. We will definitely stay there in the future.

We find a double bed a little too small, however it was comfortable. I do hope some of the rooms have queen beds.

Fantastic views, super clean and cosy. The host is very tu helpful and it is very easy to get into the property. There is a swimming pool and barbacoa area for you to use. The views are incredible. We watched the animals during sunset and sunrise. Highly recommended!

Everything was excellent.

What an awesome place! The view over the river is breathtaking! We loved the pool and the decor, such a beautiful aesthetic! The unit was beautifully equipped and there was lots of attention to detail.

We stayed overnight on our way to the park. Everything about the venue was perfect. I would certainly recommend it.
