Het is basic, maar dat is prima Geen airco, geen chique gestylde kamer Soms wat stroom uitval Maar dat hoort erbij en wordt goedgemaakt door de sfeer en locatie

Great location, just outside the town and surrounded by beautiful nature, close to a lovely small river with access for swimming. The rooms were clean and spacious with large bathrooms and comfortable beds. Ours had a terrace with seating overlooking the garden. The restaurant serves a range of good food. The staff are friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We did a one night jungle trek organised through the accommodation which was a great experience. We saw orangutans and several other species of ape. Our guides were great and even took my son fishing in the evening which he loved. The food was fantastic and we all enjoyed tubing back along the river the next day. We also did an interesting guided night walk and saw many interesting creatures. Access to the guest house is via motorbike only and we were met and delivered back to the town with all our luggage when needed. It was fun and all part of the experience. A great place to stay!

Die Unterkunft liegt mitten im Dschungel. Abseits vom Dorf. Es ist super ruhig und entspannt dort. Man wird mit dem Roller zur Unterkunft gefahren was allein schon der Aufenthalt wert ist, da diese Fahrt schon ein Abenteuer ist. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und super kinderlieb. Wir hatten auch die Dschungeltour über sie gebucht und können diese absolut weiter empfehlen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und für Vegetarier gab es eine große Auswahl.

Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht wodurch das Zimmer etwas warm war. Aber wir hatten insgesamt 3 Ventilatoren was es etwas angenehmer machte.

Very remote feel especially with the 15 minute moped drive down rugged single track path through the jungle and saw an orangutan and a bunch of monkeys of different species right on property. Literally a one minute walk to peaceful beautiful river with lots of wildlife. Also beautiful landscaping and fruit trees on property with a volleyball net in the yard.

No not shower but super minor because it’s always warm but also cool at night so no need for ac and the fan was plenty to stay cool

Está a 30 minutos en moto de la ciudad, y aunque los propietarios facilitan el transporte gratuito, para hacer las excursiones de treking no es problema, pero si se quiere tener la libertad de ir a la ciudad y volver paseando no es posible.

Great accommodation at the borders of the jungle. we stayed here four nights with our kids of eight and 11 years old, and it was one of the highlights of our holiday. We loved the room with great views on the garden and the jungle behind it.in the afternoon it was great to take a swim in the river.the restaurant served very good food, and the live music in the evening was truly special. Also, we went on a two days one night jungle trekking, which we loved a lot. Mowgli and the other guides gave us a great adventure, with many sightings of wildlife.the facilities in the jungle were basic but very well for a unique night in the jungle.also it was very nice that everything was tailored to our needs as a family with to small children. They have made a great experience they will not forget, including the trip back on the rafts.I definitely recommend to book your holiday in Bukit Lawang with Batu Kapal! Special shout out to the staff, you are great!

The location is outside of the center of Bukit Lawang. It takes a short trip on the back of a motorcycle, conveniently organized by the great staff.we loved this very much and it contributed to a great experience.also the beautiful location in a beautiful jungle setting is a reason why we chose this accommodation. If you appreciate a more touristy area with several restaurants and bars, then you might look for something in the center of Bukit Lawang.

Location was amazing being a 20 min bike ride away from Bukit Lawang. My room was huge with a big balcony and although there is no AC the fan provided was sufficient for me. The guys who work there made me feel very welcome. They organised a fabulous hike in the jungle. I wish I had booked longer

Die Anlage ist gepflegt, das Essen im Balkon - Restaurant ist sehr lecker und das Zimmer war sauber. Super netter Gastgeber! Wir haben direkt dort den Dschungeltrek & eine Villagetour gebucht. Beides war super. Jajang & Donnie haben uns viel Wissen vermittelt und wir hatten viel Spaß mit ihnen. Wir haben uns immer sicher gefühlt. Rundum ein unvergessliches Erlebnis.

This place was bliss! Lovely friendly, relaxing family atmosphere, I really felt at home. The room was huge, very clean and the view was amazing. Food was delicious and generous portions. The trek I did was well organised, the airport pickup and all communication was very clear. But my favourite part was the location, sitting in the river watching monkeys watching me was pretty special! I would definitely recommend.

Unglaublich nettes Personal, extrem gutes Essen. Man taucht in eine andere Welt ein, das Trekking mit batu kapal war eines der eindrucksvollsten Erlebnisse unseres Lebens. Wir haben uns so willkommen gefühlt und kommen definitiv Ende des Jahres wieder! Die guides sind super professionell und haben immer für unsere Sicherheit gesorgt.

Het personeel was top. Eén grote familie van mensen die naar je omzien en het naar je zin willen maken. De plek in de jungle is heerlijk rustig. Neem een dag rust na een trekking. De scootertocht er naartoe is hilarisch en we keken er steeds weer naar uit. Stuk voor stuk behendige rijders die nergens van opkijken. Het eten was Indonesisch maar na 3,5 wk indonesie waren de smaken hier een vd beste. Uitstekende dame in de keuken. Hele leuke 2 daagse jungle trekking met Ali en Donnie van de locatie zelf. Super lieve en goede gidsen die goed overleggen, regelmatig uitleg gaven en heel zorgzaam waren.

Je zit in de jungle dus er gaat wel eens wat anders dan wij gewend zijn. Maar laat het los.

Pick-up vanuit vliegveld werd geregeld door het hotel. Bij aankomst in het plaatsje werden we opgewacht door mensen van het hotel die ons netjes naar het hotel brachten. Supermooie locatie, af en toe zie je een aap, mooi uitzicht vanaf onze kamer, lekker eten en gezellig restaurantje (' s avonds wordt de gitaar erbij gepakt en gezongen) en vooral superlieve en leuke mensen. We boekten een 2-daagse jungletocht en dit was geweldig! Goed geregeld, goed verzorgd, gidsen wisten alles over de natuur te vertellen en waren heel hulpvaardig. Een geweldige belevenis en mooie herinnering!

Hier kan je niet chagrijnig worden. Wat een fantastische plek en mooi avontuur om van hieruit de tweedaagse jungletocht te doen en te genieten van de gastvrijheid, het heerlijke eten, de mooie plek maar vooral ook het supetleuke, vriendelijke en goedlachse personeel!! Dit kan niks anders worden dan een dikke tien!

Aller à Batu Kapal c'est rejoindre une famille qui vous accueillera comme si elle vous connaissait deja. Je ne peux que recommander ce logement, et surtout d'y rester longtemps pour apprendre à connaître toutes les personnes qui y travaillent !

L'emplacement est vraiment sympathique au bord de la rivière et éloigné de l'agitation touristique. Le personnel est vraiment tranquille.

Au niveau de la guesthouse, tout est cool. Par contre , le petit trek a la journée est un veritable cirque , une horreur. Etre en file indienne et s'ammasser dès qu'il y a un singe à proximité...s'aglutiner(près de la poubelle du camping) au retour au bord de la rivière, pour attraper le transport en chambres à air ... tout est est sympa ( notamment nos accompagnants)mais il y a trop de monde , participer à ce surtourisme est un regret pour moi.

A very special place, genuine warmth and lovely people working there. It was a great experience staying somewhere so peaceful in nature, the trekking was amazing I will never forget my experience doing that! If you like things a bit quiet and to meet genuinely lovely people I would recommend. Great food too!

A szállás elhelyzkedése fantasztikus volt, olyan mintha a dzsungel közepén lettünk volna. A közelben látunk az erdőben majmokat. A közeli folyóban lehetett fürdeni és hűsülni. A személyzet nagyon kedves volt és mindenben segítettek. Az ételek nagyon finomak voltak, köszönet a konyhának. Nagyon hangulatos volt a teljesen nyitott étterem. A dzsungeltúrát ott a szálláson tudtuk foglalni és a túravezetők is a szállásról voltak nagyon köszönjük az élményeket Agil, Anjan és Jongjang-nak.

There was no aircondition, which we knew, but still it would add some comfort, specially ruring night. The faucet for the shower was hard to move, not really userfriendly.

Wat een magische ligging heeft Batu Kapal. Midden in de jungle op een plek naast de rivier. Het is echt een plek om tot rust te komen. De mensen die er werken, Donnie, Imam en eigenlijk alle mensen zijn waanzinnig vriendelijk, betrokken, aardig en mega gastvrij. Het ontbijt was echt heerlijk. We zijn 4 nachten gebleven met onze kinderen 11, 9 en 6. Fikkie stoken, hutten bouwen, zwemmen in de rivier. We hebben een tracking gedaan via Batu Kapal en Oerangoetangs gezien. Was geweldig. Kookles was leuk!

Weet dat je echt lekker de natuur in gaat. De locatie is te gek, maar verwacht geen waterkoker op de kamer voor een koffietje. Lakens en handdoeken zijn matig en de airco doet het niet. Maar dat maakt dus allemaal NIETS uit als je er eenmaal bent en gevangen wordt door de geweldige natuur en de leuke mensen. Je kan ook 2 dagen hier doen en 2 dagen in het stadje zelf voor de afwisseling. Maar zeker de moeite waard hier te slapen.

Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit hier. Das gesamte Team ist super, es herrscht eine tolle Atmosphäre und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Der private 2-tägige Dschungeltrek, den wir über die Unterkunft gebucht haben, war sehr gut organisiert. Ein großes Dankeschön an Johnny und Mogli, die uns als Guides begleitet haben.

Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt war die Klimaanlage im Zimmer, die während unseres Aufenthalts leider nicht funktioniert hat.

El hotel está in poco escondido y apartado del pueblo, pero igualmente vale la pena

Zoals eerder beschreven waren de mensen bij de accommodatie geweldig en heb ik hiervan genoten. Ook de mensen op de jungletrekking waren geweldig, shout out naar Agil, Krisna en Ali ;)))).

De douche had een hele kleine knop, die niet makkelijk open of dicht te draaien was. En de hendel voor het openen van de kraan van de wasbak viel eraf????

Het was midden in de jungle, de badkamer was een vibe, het personeel was meedenkend, bracht mij naar de stad wanneer nodig, eten bij het restaurant, gezellig met personeel bij het restaurant, leuk beekje achteraan. Ik had ook de boeking een beetje verpest en Imam dacht mee en gaf aan dat ik andere data kon verblijven dan aangegeven zonder extra te betalen. Ik heb via de accommodatie de jungle trekking gedaan, fijn geregeld. Ook nog credits naar Ali, die mijn gids was maar mij ook hielp bij de accommodatie ;).

Geen wifi in de kamers, de lichtknopjes zaten elke keer aan de andere kant van de kamer??? Als je de kamer al doorgelopen was, zat daar het ligt knopje voor die kamer.

Ein perfekter Ort um zu Entspannen und mit den super netten Leuten von Batu Kapal in ein Dschungeltrekking zu unternehmen. Die Jungs sind super professionell und aufgestellt. Danke für alles

Die unglaublich herzlichen und aufmerksamen Gastgeber, die Nähe zum Dschungel und damit den Orang Utans sowie der perfekt organisierte Ablauf! Wir konnten noch vor unserer Dschungel Tour einen Orang Utan im Garten sehen! Unsere Guides Joni und Donnie waren die besten! Sie haben so gut auf uns aufgepasst und uns mit so vielen Informationen versorgt. Wir haben uns so wohl mit ihnen gefühlt. Jeder der nach Bukit Lawang kommt, sollte diese Unterkunft buchen und mit ihnen die Dschungel Tour machen!! Abends spielten alle Jungs Gitarre und sangen oder zeigten uns, wie sie am Fluss fischten!!! Jeder war sehr sehr herzlich und freundlich und lustig! Wir haben jede Sekunde geliebt! 100/10 🌟 Danke für alles!

Beautiful, remote place next to the river. The food is amazing and the staff extremely nice and helpful! The room is very spacious and we felt like being in a luxury resort! You can hangout in the river and watch the Thomas-leave monkeys jumping around in the trees above you. If you like it quiet, surrounded by nature and spotting wildlife - this is the perfect place

The location is amazing, full of wild life, the river is beautiful with pristine waters to relax after trekking in the forest. They offer excellent and varied food, fresh ingredients in all dishes. The staff is very friendly and they always give me some good ideas about what to explore, they make my stay wonderful.

Sehr schöne, weit vom Dorf abgelegene Anlage mit gepflegtem Garten. Tier- und Vogelbeobachtungen von der Lodge aus möglich . Aussergewöhnlich freundliche und zuverlässige Mannschaft.

Wenn man Zimmer auf Booking mit Klimaanlage anbietet, sollte diese auch funktionieren. Tut sie aber aufgrund starker Stromschwankungen nie. Es gibt nämlich keinen Ausgleichsgenerator. Auch öfter totale Stromausfälle, wo dann die Ventilatoren auch nicht funktionieren- dann wird es sehr stickig. Kein warmes Wasser/ nur Kaltwasser in den Duschen, auch keine Pflegeprodukte vorhanden, obwohl angegeben.

It's a quiet paradise in the jungle, where you can see a big orangutan in the morning ... right behind your room.

Though they have an AC listed on the booking site - it doesnt work. So if this is one of your priorities ... adjust your expectations.

Nous avons adoré l’emplacement dans la jungle, dépaysement garanti. Le logement est confortable et le personnel est au petit soin. Nous avons fait un trek dans la jungle, tout était très bien organisé, nous n’avions qu’à nous laisser guider. Les repas sont très bons et peu chers. C’était un excellent sejour. Merci particulier à Daka et Doni pour leur gentillesse tout au long du séjour et surtout du trek dans la jungle.

Immersa nella natura e negli animali

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us throughout our stay. They coordinated our entire visit including airport transport and 2 day jungle trek. The trek guides were amazing. We saw orangutans and gibbons as well as many monkeys. They prepared delicious food on the trail and at the campsite. The river tubing was a perfect way to end the trek!

Because the property is so far into the jungle (which makes it amazing), you have to take a motorbike to get there.

En pleins dans la jungle, proche d’une rivière idéal pour un moment relax et isolé. La chambre magnifique, lit très confortable avec moustiquaire. La salle de bain avec ambiance “jungle” est très sympa. Activité proposé pour passer un magnifique séjour, les plats sont tres bons et préparé directement sur place. (Prévenir bien à l’avance si vous voulez du poissons, le temps qu’ils aillent le chercher au village). Personnel accueillant, rassurant, sympa et drôle. Soirée musique, on chante tous ensemble ambience chill. Ils vous aideront pour tout et vous conseilleront au mieux.

Assez loin du village (1h à pied) mais ça en vaut la peine vus le cadre de la jungle. Pas d’eau chaude, mais pas dérangeant.

L’équipe était très cool, l’endroit est perdu au milieu de la jungle, leur restaurant est très bon, ils peuvent s’occuper d’organiser votre trek dans la jungle

Le fait que ce soit éloigné du village et qu’il faille prendre le scooter, avec une route parfois très dégradé. Mais c’est ce qui fait le charme de l’expérience aussi donc si vous n’avez pas peur de trajets mouvementés en scooter allez y !

We stayed here for a total of four nights and also went on the two-night jungle trek. It’s absolutely the best place to stay in Bukit Lawang! Tucked away about a 20-minute drive from town, it can only be reached by scooter or by walking (around 40–60 minutes) — but it’s so worth it. The scenery is stunning, the restaurant serves delicious food, and the whole property is surrounded by jungle. There’s a lovely river where you can swim and watch the wildlife. The team here is fantastic — they meet you in town to guide you to the accommodation and help organize tours, which were also excellent. Also rooms very comfortable, bed is good and the balconies are great to chill at!

Wo soll ich nur anfangen, die Unterkunft ist wunderschön mitten im Jungle und direkt am Fluss gelegen. Mit etwas Glück kann man die Orang-Utans direkt vor Ort beobachten und auch sonst unglaublich viele Tiere rundherum sehen. Das Personal ist super freundlich, hilfsbereit und gut gelaunt. Ich habe mich ab dem ersten Tag schon wie zu Hause gefühlt und so wurden aus 3 Tagen, 3 Wochen :). Ich habe die 2 Tages Jungletreking Tour direkt bei der Unterkunft gebucht und kann dies nur wärmstens empfehlen. Die Guids sind sehr kompetent und aufmerksam, wir konnten so viele Tiere sehen und hatten eine super tolle Zeit! Die Zimmer sind gross und sauber mit einem wunderschönen gepflegten Garten und das Essen einfach der hammer! Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit bei euch, ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Batu Kapal Guest House. Le logement était super, grand et très confortable. Nous avons apprécié la flexibilité du personnel qui est venu nous récupérer à l’aéroport à minuit. L’établissement propose aussi l’organisation de treks dans la jungle. Nous avons choisi un trek de 2jours et 1 nuit. À faire au moins une fois dans sa vie. Tout était inclus, les pauses fruits et les repas. Nous avons dormi dans un campement au bord de la rivière, où nous avions un super chef cuisinier, merci Rido. Les macaques viennent nous dire bonjour pendant le petit déjeuner, un décor inoubliable. Nos guides Jajan et Mowgli étaient top, ils veillent à notre bien-être pendant tout le trek et s’adaptent en fonction de nos besoins et envies. Nous sommes très reconnaissantes et impressionnées par leurs savoirs faire et savoirs être. Le trek se termine par une descente en bouée fun et rafraîchissante. Nous étions de retour à la Guest House vers 17h le lendemain et nous avons passé une très bonne soirée. Le personnel nous a offert un concert privé. Trop bonne ambiance. Merci à tout le personnel. 🫶🏻

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at this Lodge. The staff were so friendly and accommodating - they made our stay just how we wanted it. The 2-day trek was very memorable thanks to our wonderful guides, Ali and Mowgli. Facilities and food were great. We had access to the main part of town by being dropped off and picked up by staff on motor bikes.

Be mindful that the rooms have showers but it’s cold water only.

Top Unterkunft, sehr bequeme Betten, ruhige und schöne Lage, super Essen und wundervolle und hilfsbereite Menschen. Der Vibe ist einfach total gut und gechillt. Wir haben eine Dschungeltour mit Holanda, Agus und Ali gemacht, die drei haben einen super Job gemacht. Wir hatten viel Spaß mit ihnen und konnten einiges lernen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Very quiet located, next to a river and surrounded by the jungle. The family bungalow is very well equipped and has a fantastic design. You can hang up in the hammock and just relax. Everything was very clean, the bed was very cozy and the bathroom is just great. People there were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there and can recommend this place.

1e nacht mochten we slapen in familiekamer met heerlijke bedden, andere nachten in kamer met balkon, dit bed vonden wij wat minder comfortabel

Místní atmosféra byla absolutně neuvěřitelná, nikdy jsem nezažil tak skvělý lidi, kteří se o vás skvělé postarají. Rozhodně tohle ubytování stojí za vyzkoušení. Je to sen!

We initially booked two nights, after which we did a 3D2N jungle trek. We arranged this through Batu Kapal and we really enjoyed it. Guides Holanda and Donnie led us through the jungle with great enthusiasm. We saw many beautiful places and animals (orangutans, gibbons, hornbills, great argus, and many more). Because we enjoyed Batu Kapal so much, we booked three more nights after the jungle trek. A real plus is the guesthouse's more remote location. This means you wake up in the morning with only the sounds of birds and the river, and you go back to sleep in the same tranquility at the end of the day. Furthermore, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are many different activities available. Although the night trek seems a bit expensive, we found it well worth it. During the three-hour walk, we were able to spot other nocturnal animals (loris, snakes, geckos). The food at Batu Kapal is good; be sure to try the fruit.

It's important to keep in mind that the location is quite remote. This means you'll either have to walk 50 minutes to the village (less pleasant in the dark) or travel by motorbike or scooter. Fortunately, the staff are always happy to take you there by motorbike or scooter. Although the road is bumpy, they know what they're doing and are mindful of your safety. After all, it's definitely worth it for the peaceful surroundings you'll get in return.

Die wunderschönen Ausblicke in das Tal und auf den angelegten Garten waren unvergesslich. Wir konnten dort auch viele Tiere beobachten. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und das gesamte Personal extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten viele tolle Erlebnisse bei den Trekkingtouren. Alles war super organisiert. Es ist wirklich ein faszinierender Ort um weiter zu empfehlen.

This is a great place, located in a very quiet area right next to the jungle. The river is just a few meters from the cabin. You can only get there on foot or by scooter, but the owner can organize transportation. They also organize jungle treks and provide delicious food. The staff is incredibly friendly. A special thanks to Wanta, Jajang, Bagus (and all his wives 😉), Habib, and all the other guys working there. See you next time!

Bayu and his team are great! Everyone of us, my wife, me and the two kids, had the feeling of beeing part of the family! Especially tracking overnight with them was a lifetime experience. The way how they treat with the kids was so caring. Thank you so much! The luxury of this retreat is the seclusion. You are welcomed by motorbikes, to bring you the last 10mins to the guest house. Apparently no luxury retreat

The location of this place is absolutely stunning. You are deep in nature, far away from noise, pollution, people. Absolutely loved it. The staff is also super friendly, speaks good English and happy to sing and entertain you in the evenings and organize tours for you. The drive there (on my motorbike) was an adventure by itself (and should only be attempted by confident drivers with maps.me installed on their phone (Google Maps was useless as it didnt know the trails).

I stayed in two different rooms. In the first room (upstairs with balcony) the bed was damaged so the mattress was hanging through on one side. Guess the staff just didnt know. The second room (bottom left) was much worse though. The mattress was very worn out and you would roll into the middle (the worn out part). Not really a big pleasure. Also no bedside table or lights. Very poor (or no) WIFI connection in the rooms. This would be an easy fix.. I had food poisoning on the last night and I only had two meals that day of which one was many hours before so I can say with good confidence that this one meal made my stomach sick. I know it's not the staff's fault, the food was absolutely delicious. But still, cant give a perfect rating for this.

Nous sommes restés cinq nuits dans ce logement. Situé en pleine nature, c’est le calme qu’on apprécie ici ainsi que la possibilité de rejoindre la rivière toute proche pour se baigner ou y observer les animaux : insectes, oiseaux mais aussi varan. La nourriture est excellente et très peu chère (le meilleur rendang aux légumes du voyage !), les différents employés très sympathiques, souriants et avec qui on discute facilement. Il est facile de rejoindre le village à pied. La balade prend une petite heure mais c’est vraiment très agréable. Il est aussi possible de se faire emmener en scooter par des conducteurs particulièrement agiles ! C’est d’ailleurs comme cela que nous avons rejoint le logement et ce malgré la nuit et nos gros sacs. Sur place, pas de climatisation dans les chambres mais un bon ventilateur permet d’atténuer un peu la chaleur et il y a une moustiquaire autour du lit. La chambre est globalement fonctionnelle avec un confort suffisant. La petite terrasse devant la chambre est agréable pour se reposer en rentrant des treks. Nous en avons réalisé un de deux jours par leur intermédiaire. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le dynamise et la bonne humeur de notre guide, Holanda, mais aussi la douceur, la gentillesse et le sourire permanent de Bagus le guide assistant. Un coup de cœur, qui a même réalisé des petites vidéos de notre trek et nous les a partagées ensuite. Sans oublier les bons plats de Doni, quelle joie de trouver ce niveau de qualité de nourriture en plein dans la jungle. Le campement pour la nuit est très confortable. Nous avions chacun un matelas en mousse, un oreiller et une moustiquaire. C’était super de dormir avec les sons de la jungle pour se réveiller au bord de la rivière et prendre un bon petit-déjeuner avant de retourner observer les différentes espèces qui ont croisé notre parcours. Merci beaucoup pour ce séjour qui aura marqué notre aventure indonésienne !

La distance conséquente du centre où se concentrent les possibilités autres de restauration, les supérettes et autres lieux de socialisation peut en rebuter certains (pas pour nous, nous cherchions cette ambiance plus isolée). Peut être un rideau occultant dans la salle de bain serait bien car il y a juste une vitre qui donne directement sur l’extérieur Les fréquentes coupures de courant (Welcome to the jungle ;)) très courtes mais qui arrêtent le ventilateur de la chambre avant de le relancer, ce qui fait augmenter tout de suite la température! Mais encore une fois, on a beaucoup aimé l’expérience globale et reviendrions au même endroit sans hésiter.

El personal fantastic!! Vam allotjar-nos a la caseta mes nova, es per 4 i ens van afegir 1 llit, per estar tota la familia junts, i estava genial. Vam fer el trekking de 2 dies amb ells i tot va estar fantastic!! Sempre estan de bon humor i son super servicials! Tambe ens van organitzar taxi de l’aeroport a l’hotel i tot perfecte! Un plaer!!!

Very good - we stayed in the family lodge, which was great! The guys who organize the guesthouse are great. Especially their music in the evening. 🎶😊 They react very flexibly to travel changes and organize everything perfectly.

Batu Kapal Guest House is not just a guest house – it's a family. We stayed with them (not just at their place) for only five days, but it was one of the most intense and rewarding experiences of our lives. Yes, you need to adapt. Yes, there’s no TV or hot water. Yes, the city is far away and the motorbike ride isn’t the most comfortable. But no one chooses the jungle for comfort. We rediscovered a raw, precious, and unique humanity. We were treated not as guests, but as an integral part of a community. They taught us and showed us what it means to live in and with the jungle, generously sharing their knowledge and experiences. Of course, it's not for everyone – especially not for those unwilling to strip away the superfluous and rediscover the essence of life. Leaving was hard, and the ride "back to civilization" was filled with silence. We immediately felt a hole in our stomachs and found ourselves looking at each other saying, "We already miss it so much." Batu Kapal Guest House is not just a guest house – it’s a project. Or rather, a network of projects. The young people who built it poured all their money and energy into helping the youth of their community – giving them jobs, a home, and a deep understanding of how to protect the nature that surrounds them. They are ambitious and talented, and no number of thank-yous could ever fully express the gratitude we feel for everything they’ve given us. That’s what Bukit does – it changes your life in just five days. We’ll be back soon. Thank you, guys.

It was just paradise on earth!! The location is superbe and the whole team of Batu Kapal Guest House was amazing! So friendly, helpful, caring and reliable!! We had an incredibly perfect stay!! Thank you for this unforgettable experience memory

Everything was perfect!

staff was supernice and polite! we made a 3h trekking (50€/person) and we saw 3 orangos! they are doing etichal trekking basically respecting Orangos and their habitat. the guesthouse is in the forest without any noise. food was delicious and cheap. WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

The location, the price and, most importantly, the people who work there! The guesthouse is located on the edge of the jungle and getting there on the back of a motorbike is an adventure in itself. The room is basic, but clean and has everything one might need - all for a great price. We booked a three day jungle tour and our guides, Jajang and Wanta, were absolutely incredible. They were professional, fun and caring, and went that extra mile (literally - we love hiking and ended up doing ~10km each day in the jungle, which was perfect for us!) to make sure that we had the best experience. And we did! Honestly, it felt like we were on a jungle trek with friends. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely nothing!

This place is really unbelievable with the nature surrounding the place. We even got to see orangutans twice in their "backyard". The owner of the guesthouse helped us arrange a 3 days Jungle trekk which turned out to be really amazing. Shout-out to our two guides Berry and Bagus who were really great!

Amazing hospitality. We were picked up with motos to get to the guesthouse where we were welcomed so warmly! The jungle trek we did was just amazing! We were very well taken care of and so much was explained about plants and wildlife. We had a lot of fun. The vibe at the guesthouse itself is soooo good. We did not feel like guests but part of it all. I hope we can come back for a longer trekking in the future and to do some night fishing!! Wishing you all the best with all the cool projects that are still in development!!

Very welcoming staff, the organize a solo tour in the jungle only for me with a very good price! The tour was amazing and the guide very kind and informative. Also the location is amazing in the middle of the jungle, far away from the village.

Unfortunately, the room wasn’t that clean : the bathroom is quite basic, and the the shower curtain and mosquito net have many stains. Also there is no AC which is something to considerate with the temperature is Indonesia.

One of the nicest places I’ve stayed - the guest house is in an amazing location a bit further out of town with beautiful views. Every single person there was so kind and helpful with anything you need. On top of this the jungle trek was so well organised and the guides were great at helping you to see the animals. I had a great time, thank you all!

What a gem of a place, nestled in what feels like the jungle, the ride there alone was an experience of its self. The beauty that surrounds you here is truly astounding. It’s quiet, peaceful and absolutely mesmerising. The staff are wonderful, they become your friends. I did a 2 day trek with Berry and Donnie which was fantastic. Extremely welcoming place with great vibes. I hope to come back!!!!

Absolutely incredible stay - one of the best we’ve ever stayed at! All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home and taught us about the jungle. The bed was very comfy and we slept very well. Amazing views from the restaurant and balcony. You can swim in the river which is very refreshing and watch monkeys in the trees. Sometimes they have orangutans on the property (we didn’t see them but apparently they were there the day before). The food was so tasty. We also booked jungle trekking through the guesthouse which we could write another 10 star review about. Just everything was amazing. Go and visit and say hi from us!

Bayu, Jaka and their whole team provided the best customer service I’ve ever experienced—genuinely warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. I felt completely safe and incredibly welcome throughout my stay, which made all the difference for a solo female traveller. Every staff member I interacted with went above and beyond to make sure my visit was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They helped me organise the jungle trek which I was initially nervous about but they made sure I was comfortable with the options. I will definitely be back for a longer stay. The trek they organised was fantastic too. My guides - Ponidi and Naufal - were knowledgable, friendly and made sure we had a unique experience.

Loved the location. Near the river at the end of a track. No cars here. Staff were fantastic and food was good. I did 3 day trek organized through the homestay, which was very enjoyable.

Mattress on the bed definitely needs replacing as not comfortable. Lighting needs to be improved as very hard to see.

Wonderful place with a beautiful garden and wonderful people. Very peaceful area. I stayed there for two weeks and could get back every time.
