The family was kind. The breakfast was great. It was a good place to relax

Nice very quiet place, in walking distance to lion's rock. Nice walks in nature around. The room is rather small, only for sleeping , but the large private verandah with armchairs is super pleasant. Very good breakfast too

Our stay at this guesthouse was absolutely wonderful! The hospitality was exceptional, and we felt truly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The family running the guesthouse is incredibly kind, warm, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious, with freshly squeezed juice every morning—each day a different flavor, which was a lovely touch. They also have a fantastic restaurant nearby with amazing food, definitely worth a visit! A special thank you to their son, who helped us so much during our stay. He gave us a ride to the bus station in his tuk-tuk and even took us to another city by car. His kindness and generosity made our trip even more special. We also really appreciated that they allowed us a late check-out, which was super convenient and made our departure much easier. We highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay. Thank you for making our visit unforgettable!

It was really clean and the family was very accommodating. We arrived late at night so we were really tired and unwell and not enthusiastic to walk out to explore restaurants. Thankfully they also own a restaurant 500 meters away . They offered to drive us there at first but ended up setting the dinner for us at the guesthouse which was very convenient. The location is walkable to the sigiriya rock and nearby restaurants but very quiet and peaceful. We wanted to extend another night with them but unfortunately it was fully booked. On the day we checked out, they arranged tuktuk for us when we needed to go to the hospital We went back to their restaurant on our last night and the head of the family asked how was the hospital visit and reminded me of some home remedies for my physical pain which I appreciated.

The guest house is in a very pretty and quiet area of Sigiriya, just outside the city centre. The bedroom was of a good size and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and fresh sheets were provided. The pillows were also very comfortable. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, a sink, and a toilet. It was a good-size bathroom and it was spotless. Antoni and his wife were amazing hosts. When we arrived at the accommodation, we were offered some king coconut water as a welcome drink. Antoni took them from his own garden! Breakfast was awesome. Very tasty and delicious foods. They also offered some fresh watermelon juice and orange juice from the hosts’ garden. During our stay, Antoni helped us with moving around the city. He suggested places to eat and found a good deal for us to hire a scooter. He really went the extra mile, which we were very pleased about.

There were some little frogs in the bathroom, although we do appreciate the fact that it was rainy and they might have come in during the night.

Guest house was in a great location- peaceful, homely and close to Sigiriya rock.

The washroom could have been better. a separation for wash area, toilet seat change. will do.

When we arrived, we were welcomed with a free coconut and already felt at home. The property is beatiful and surrounded with fruit and palm trees and the garden even has a hammock to relax. The owner and his family are super kind and so helpful and Sasindu even drove us to the rocks for sunset and sunrise and showed us a lake with great views. The breakfast is delicious and we can also recommend to eat at the owners restaurant. We enjoyed our stay in Sigiriya to the fullest and would definitely choose the Wijesiri Family Guest House all over again!

Sasindu and his family were amazing hosts. Our room was spacious and clean. There is a high powered fan if you need it though it cooled off at night for us. Sasindu has a pub/restaurant just up the road with a perfect view of sigiriya fort (great beer spot) and his mother has a restaurant on the busier road that we also really enjoyed. Sasindu was kind enough to give us a few rides around to local sites and organized a really nice tuk tuk driver to take us back to dambulla after our stay for a good rate who helped us catch the public bus. We got a fresh coconut each on arrival and breakfasts had eggs each day and plenty of fresh fruit. Great value and would definitely recommend!!

When we arrived, we were welcomed with a free juice. The owner’s parents are super lovely, the room was perfect, all clean. We loved the breakfast, always included a fresh juice. The garden is perfect to enjoy some quiet moments in nature. We would have loved to stay even longer.

Sasindu is a super kind host who arranged a taxi for us from Negombo and dropped us off for our bus on our last day. He helped us with many other topics too, plus his restaurant is really nice, you should visit. The hammock is a great addition to the property, the location is quiet and very convenient for exploring Sigiriya. We enjoyed our stay!

We couldn’t figure out the hot water device very well - but maybe this one is on us, so we had some cold showers. The breakfast was pretty regular, the fresh juice was a nice addition though.

This property was situated in a perfect location close to the restaurants. It was very clean upon arrival and next to the family home. It had an en-suite shower and toilet which was also very clean. The family were incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to arrange transport and activities for us as at a lower cost than we had found elsewhere. The son arranged for us to be collected from Colombo as we were unable to get the train and he arranged our transport to the next location. The family also arranged for the son in law (I think) to take us out to the national park to see the elephants again this was at a lower cost then we found elsewhere where. Each morning we had a delicious home made breakfast which was the perfect way to start the day the family also have a downtown bar for an evening drink and own a restaurant which is were we ate most of our meals - so far the best food we have eaten on our travels. Couldn’t recommend this place more and will certainly be telling friends who are looking to travel Sri Lanka about it.

Very lovely place to stay. Nice quiet room with terrace, garden, hammock and peacocks wandering past daily. Super helpful and kind family (check out mamas cooking at the Wijesiri restaurant in town) who really go the extra mile to make a stay here memorable and enjoyable. Early morning Pidurangala, Talkote lake, and Lion Rock - the family helped with all. 10 min walk to town (and to the Downtown Pub for a well deserved beer) and 20 mins to Lion Rock. A peaceful geeen bliss. Highly recommended.

I would book this anytime again. The whole family is great and they will help you to have a perfect stay in Sigiriya. They also have a restaurant where I got one of my best meals.

Very nice bedroom, the mattress was super comfy, everything was sparkling and the toilet and shower were also great. The breakfast was in their restaurant very nearby and it was delicious!

I liked everything in wijesiri family guest house. They are perfect. They are vey nice family. Sasindu is the son of the family he is the best and he aranged us all the tours. He has a very nice restaurant bar. We ate the dinner in his moms restautrant food was delicious. The father he is a artist he is making so nice buda sculpture and his daughter has a shop she is a artist too. She is making very nice pruducts. Guest house was very clean and so nice. It has a big garden. You will enjoy this so much. If you book this guest house you will find your home. Thank you my family see you again in the future

A bit far from rhe centre

Mr Pereira is an amazin host. He welcome you, he advice and suggest you honestly which is not very easy to find. Good english and always a nice smile. House in a quiet neighborhood, near to the bus stop.

Everything about this stay was amazing. The owner , the foods 😋, the birds’ sounds 😍, the safari , tuk-tuk tours , the comfortable beds and perfect location made for a pleasant stay.Host speaks good English and they were very helpful. The best accommodation in Sri lanka, very clean, the owners are very friendly, big and tasty breakfast, the family also has a restaurant where they serve really delicious local food. We were in Sri Lanka for 2 months and changed about 15 accommodations and I guarantee that this is the best accommodation we have had. I really recommend it ❤️
