On the listing there was only one photo for the accommodation we chose based on being a couple with two teenagers, it was an exterior photo. The listing specified two rooms, there was no indication that it wasn’t at the location listed. The reality was that it was 300m further down the beach and not seafront, it was actually up a rough side street. Our driver dropped us off at Memos, after 30mins of a rather frustrating conversation with a female member of staffwho was constantly on her phone rather than checking us in. We told where the accommodation actually was and two Tuktuk’s appeared for four of us and our four suitcases. It wasn’t a two bedroom cabana as suggested, it was an open plan studio with an additional second bed on an open mezzanine. Neither of the fans in the room worked, only 1 of the A/C units worked. The environment and decor is really lovely, rustic but so well thought out and designed. The location on the beach was lovely. The food quality was good.

The service is just so incredibly slow. Such a shame as if they got this bit right it would be a real gem. Even pre-ordered breakfast for a set time would be 20-30 mins after the time you booked it for. Some of the staff are trying and keen to please but overall just way too slow.

Everything, it was a unique slice of paradise. We also loved yhe breakfast included in our booking. Staff were amazing and very friendly.

I cannot recommend this hotel considering the high night rate. Our room had no hot water upon arrival. Despite calling maintenance immediately, the issue was never resolved. To make matters worse, wasting over an hour waiting for repairs made us miss our dinner at the hotel restaurant on my birthday, the kitchen had closed, leaving only pizza as an option. While the manager dropped by during the maintenance attempt and offered us drinks, we were shocked to find those exact drinks on our final bill at checkout. There was no compensation, discount, or effort made to rectify the fact that we paid full price for a room without a functioning shower. The complimentary breakfast was good, but any extra ordered items were heavily overpriced (Parisian price really) given the poor quality of service + the fact that we are in Sri Lanka. Extremely disappointed with the complete lack of management care.

Service was very chaotic and slow, you need a lot of time and patience, glasses very not clean every day, bed sheets had blood stains and holes. There were many cobwebs on the mezzanine, and together with the stained and torn sheets, this was one of the reasons why we decided not to sleep there. Contrary to what was stated on Booking.com, there were no mosquito nets available. We specifically asked about them, but none were provided. Overall, the stay was okay, and the location was very good. However, there were significant communication problems and considerable delays in service, which is not really acceptable for this price range. The hygiene and cleanliness of the room were also below an acceptable standard. The staff are very friendly, which makes it difficult to criticize them personally, as they are not to blame for these issues.

Locatie is goed. Personeel is behulpzaam. Maar het is absoluut niet schoon. Lakens met gaten erin en vlekken erop. We konden wel nieuwe lakens vragen, maar ook deze waren niet schoon. De kamer werd ook niet schoongemaakt.

Hygiëne. Maar de verwachtingen waren al niet hoog vantevoren.

We loved our stay! The boho vibe was relaxing, the music played throughout the day was well thought out - calm for breakfast, a little livelier later on, but always cool and fitting! The room was as expected. The food was excellent.

Diese Unterkunft war der Wahnsinn. Super freundlicher Empfang. Essen war wunderbar. Alles wurde uns von den Lippen abgelesen. Sauberer langer Strand, schönste Lage am Strand, standen am Abendessenmit dem Tisch fast im Wasser wunderbar. Vintage Styl ist sehr fotogen, leider leidet wie überall am direkt Meer die verbaute Bausustanz. Chris der Gastgeber und sein Team gaben alles, um es den Gästen so angenehm zu mach wie möglich. Waren 4 Nächte da.

We booked a room with a sea view and there is a big construction building in front of the view. This is a really expensive option for having a construction building in front of your balconies where you don’t want to spend time. You should erase the photo of the sea view.

It feels as though the host set out to create the perfect beach-day postcard experience, and in that respect, they have absolutely succeeded. The atmosphere, location, and overall setting are wonderful and make for a truly enjoyable stay. The property itself delivers exactly the kind of relaxing seaside experience you hope for. The staff is very friendly, the kitchen is very good!

Unfortunately, the organization surrounding the stay were noticeably less polished. There were several aspects that felt unnecessarily disorganized, which at times detracted from what could otherwise have been a near-perfect experience. It’s not a 5* accommodation but it provides enough for having a few days of relaxing beach vibes. The bathroom of our accommodation was not sufficient, it really needs a make over. The bedroom was nice. With better coordination and attention to the guest experience outside of the accommodation itself, this place could be exceptional. Despite these shortcomings, we had a very pleasant stay and left with many positive memories. The unique beachside charm and kindness of the staff make it a place we would still recommend.

The villa that we booked was away from property We had to call the staff and they were not responding to it at all The flush was not working when we reached and so was the WiFi No network We asked staff multiple times to check on that but they didn’t do anything about it The shower was leaking and the locks were not working

Excellent location with a very comfy bohemian vibe. A good place for couples or friends looking for a budget option with all the good things thrown in.

Niet veel. Wij kregen een andere kamer dan verwacht. Ok, maar de airco deed het niet. Ze hebben het geprobeerd te maken, gaven aan dat het opgelost was. Helaas duurde de pret 2 minuten. We kregen een ander appartement aangeboden op een andere locatie niet aan het strand. Netjes dat ze dat deden, maar wij moesten wel om 21.00 uur s’avonds de boel nog pakken. Wij kwamen daar aan en op het eerste oog lijkt het aardig mooi ingericht, maar als je goed kijkt is alles net niet. Vooral niet schoon! Veel mieren aanwezig en dat ook op mijn zoons bed tijdens het slapen. Grote kakkerlak was ons huisdier. De volgende ochtend sloeg de ventilator op tilt en ging niet meer uit. In het daglicht zagen we dat het allemaal echt niet schoon was, beddengoed vies en alles smoezelig. Wij zijn weggegaan naar een ander hotel. De bediening is aardig, maar er zit helemaal geen tempo in. Ze hebben het schoonmaken niet uitgevonden, echt alles is vies qua borden, bekers enz. Ik zou deze accommodatie echt niet aanraden.

La nostra esperienza al Memo’s Beach è stata entusiasmante. Più giorni trascorri lì,più entri in connessione con il luogo,lo staff e Criss,il proprietario sempre pronto a soddisfare ogni necessità! Le camere,seppur piccole (per noi che eravamo in 2 adulti e 2 bambini) erano molto graziose,curate e con i letti molto comodi. Ci è mancato solo un armadio dove poter riporre i vestiti. La cucina è molto buona,curata e con ingredienti di qualità - colazioni sempre piacevoli. Cenare in riva al mare al tramonto non ha prezzo. Lo staff era sempre super disponibile e cordiale. La spiaggia è a pochi passi dalla stanza e il mare è splendido con onde non pericolose e adatto per bambini. Attorno un sacco di altre soluzioni per mangiare. Un plauso speciale a Criss che è un imprenditore illuminato con cui è piacevole parlare e confrontarsi. Per chi dovesse avere sonno leggero la notte il vento forte può creare qualche disagio,ma è anche questo Sri Lanka.

Poco spazio in camera per svuotare le valigie. Una notte il vento ha disturbato un po’ il sonno,ma è la natura :-) !!

Het was een hotel met een mooie sfeer, prachtige inrichting en heel mooi aangekleed.

Het personeel van receptie/ restaurant (op 2 na) is ronduit onaardig, tegen het onbeschofte aan. Vreemd in een land waar zo ongeveer iedereen ontzettend vriendelijk is. Let op; de villa ligt op 10 minuten lopen over het stand van het hotel af. De villa was niet superschoon, maar oke.

The staff and completely incompetent, they are young and lack leadership and direction. They work 18 hour shifts so there is real empathy but they are clueless to the point of being highly frustrating. You can wait 1 hour for breakfast and then get the completely wrong meal. Coming down early in the morning they are sleeping on the beach lounges and they are always on their cellphones while serving, “dusting” and checking you in.?

Perfect stay at the beach of nilaveli. We had the family villa, it was picture perfect, bohemian vibes, big spaces, also and outdoor private terrace and outdoor shower. In the morning we walked on the beach to the breakfast. There you also have beach beds for the guests. The breakfast was delicious. also great to visit trincomale en uppevilli. we loved our stay here.

3 nachten verbleven, kamer geen enkele keer gepoetst. AC ging ene nacht wel, andere nacht niet. Je moet heel veel tijd hebben wil je bediend worden bij het ontbijt. Wij hadden daags voordien afgesproken dat we om 9u wilden ontbijten en na meerdere keren vragen een pas uur later kunnen eten. Wij waren zo goed als de enige gasten dus we vragen ons af hoe het dan is als het hotel volboekt is.

Location is amazing. The snorkeling/diving is close by and you can chill fall out of bed and chill on the beach. The decor and vibes of the place is amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. They really went above and beyond to make the place have a special vibe. There memos drinks. Must try. They were all refreshing and magical and the food really good as well

The neighbours have built a structure next door so no more beach view if you stay in the side rooms, not there fault though just if you were wondering. A place in the room to maybe hang clothes also would be great but not a deal breaker

Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Ibiza strand vibes. Daarnaast was ontbijt erg goed. Personeel vriendelijk. Aan het strand gelegen, dus heerlijk! Ook was de lunch goed, kan soms wel even duren, maar op vakantie moet je ook geen haast hebben.

Absolutely nothing to like.

Worst experience of our lives. We had already communicated that we were going to arrive late at the property and had received a confirmation from the manager. When we actually arrived, our booked rooms were already allotted to someone else and we were given different rooms. The manager showed up absolutely drunk. At 12 AM in the night, we had to look for a different property to stay at. Horrible experience.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Zimmer schön / gemütlich, die Lage am wunderschönen Sandstrand TOP! Die Preise für Getränke waren absolut O.K.!

Das Frühstück - der Check-out Wir haben gefragt ob wir um 07:00 am Frühstück haben können, da wir eine 10 Stunden Autofahrt vor uns hatten. Das war leider nicht möglich. Frühstück gibt es frühestens um 08:30 am. Wir waren pünktlich dort, bereits etwas früher, das Frühstück war aber nicht fertig. Nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen haben wir dann um 09:00 am, unser Fahrer war bereits da, das Frühstück, zumindest zum Teil bekommen. Kaffee, Tee, Saft war nicht fertig, da hätten wir noch länger warten müssen! Wir sind dann abgereist und haben uns Kaffee an der Straße gekauft.

We want to start by saying that we have traveled extensively across Asia, Africa and South America. We are used to adapting to accommodation standards that are often very different from European ones, and we normally accept basic conditions without complaint. However, in all our travels around the world, we have never encountered a situation like this. At first glance the place looks reasonably pleasant. The decoration and styling create a good first impression, but unfortunately this hides the real condition of the property. Upon arrival we were required to pay the full amount immediately, before even receiving proper access to the room. In good faith we agreed, assuming the stay would match the impression created. Once inside the room the reality became clear. The room was completely unsuitable for guests, there was extensive mould, the air conditioning was leaking, the shower contained ants and larvae, and the bed was covered with stains and insects. These are not small inconveniences but serious hygiene problems that make a room uninhabitable. Despite advertising an extensive food and drinks menu, nothing was available except coffee. Even outside the high season guests should at least be able to order basic food and drinks, or be informed in advance that services are limited. We calmly tried several times to discuss the situation with the staff and look for a reasonable solution. Instead we were met with aggressive and highly unprofessional behaviour. Because of this we decided to leave immediately and find another hotel so we could continue what had otherwise been a wonderful holiday. We quickly found another accommodation nearby that, at a fraction of the price, was perfectly able to offer basic cleanliness and hospitality. Based on the way the owner responded to us and to other negative reviews, we would not be surprised if this review is again dismissed as lies or blamed on the guests.

Das wunderbare Memo Beach Hotel hat eine tolle Lage und einen schönen Strand. Das Hotel hat einen entzückenden Charme, nette Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück am Strand, von dem kleinen, netten fleisigen Kellner. Es wäre ein kleines Juwel....wenn sich jemand darum kümmern würde.

Leider kümmert sich niemand um das Hotel. Überall Müll, schmutzige Zimmer, verschimmelte Pölster. Das Personal ist zwar freundlich, spielt aber lieber stundenlang am Handy anstatt aufzuräumen. Schade

Location is really good.

Our room had blood on the walls and bed sheets. There was a ton of mosquitos and no repellent nor mosquito net provided. Shower did not work properly and If you would turn on the hot water you would burn yourself as the water was boiling hot. The room was very dirty and extremely small with lot of ants and bugs everywhere. Customer service did not exist. No one even noticed us while we where there. We checked out the next morning because we arrived really late so had to suffer one night there. Next day we booked a new hotel.

On arrival, we were left sitting in the reception area for a long time even though we were the only guests. I think this property may have been very nice a few years ago but it is old and tired now. The room was damp and cool. We were there in mid January so not high season. The place nees a good paint and clean. The communication was poor. We had booked 3 nights but ended up only staying 2 nights. We had paid a non refundable payment but in all the travelling I have done over the last 16 years, I have never come across such poor communication and refusal to discuss a possible refund. The Manager continued to insist that I must talk to Booking.com and that he could do nothing. Booking.com assured me that it was up to Memo's to make the decision and the refund as they had taken the money. The Manager, who was not on site, was very irate with me on the phone and then refused to answer. To be honest, if he was honest and told me that unfortunately, this was not policy to refund or whatever his reason - I would have accepted it but he was completely unprofessional and kept fobbing me off and insisting that it was nothing to do with him and then refused to answer text/emails or phonecalls. Apart from that situation, i would not return to Memo's - it needs a complete overhaul if they expect to do a steady business going forward.

Le toit de la chambre vue mer avait été devasté par le cyclone malheureusement pour l'établissement. Cependant, au lieu de nous prévenir et d'être honnêtes, ils nous ont laissé nous déplacer jusqu'au lieu pour nous proposer une chambre beaucoup plus petite, et plus chère, même plus chère que le prix annoncé sur Booking. L'idée de ce message est d'avertir alors que les chambres vue mer semblent encore disponibles sur Booking.

Zeer mooi bohemian thema hotel. Kamer was zeer gezellig, locatie van het hotel was prachtig. Toegang tot het strand was prachtig. Super vriendelijk personeel aanwezig!

Ontbijt en eten was ok. Ontbijt was eerder beperkt en als je iets later aankwam (binnen ontbijt uren), was het eten op of al wat koud geworden.

Takie wrażenie że cały czas obok ktoś jest, ktoś chodzi, śpiewa, jakiś piec działa i jest dźwięk, słyszeć wszystkich sąsiadów. Niema ciszy zupełnie. Nie pokój a jakaś szopa. Papier toaletowy trzeba było isc prosić. Od recepcji do plaży śmierdziało paliwem cały czas przez to że obok divingclub. Hotel jest bardzo malutki. Personal miły ale bardzo wolny. Obok naszego pokoju lubili zbierać się pracownicy kuchni i niekulturalnie się zachowywać, puszczać muzykę ,krzyczac it. Pokoje oczywiście też nikt nie sprząta. Zapomnieliśmy zamknąć okno to wlazły karaluchy. Poinformowaliśmy że wcześniej wyjeżdżamy rano, powiedzieli zostawić kluczy w drzwiach pokoju ale zapomnieli otworzyć bramę i musieliśmy biegać szukać klucze. Za to co dostaliśmy zapłaciłabym 100zl za noc a nie 400

I was in Trinco for one night on business and chose this place mainly for the beachside location. It turned out to be a great choice and check-in was smooth, the room was clean and quiet, and the Wi-Fi worked without issues (important for me as I had to jump on a late call). Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and served quickly. Even though I only stayed a night, I appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff were. Would definitely come back for a longer stay, hopefully for leisure next time.

I booked for just one night but honestly wish I stayed longer. The room was simple, clean, and had everything I needed. The highlight for me was just stepping out and seeing the beach right there, and it was truly breathtaking. Staff was very friendly and always smiling. Dinner was fresh and tasty, especially the seafood curry. For a quick solo trip, this place was perfect!

De locatie, de hygiëne, uitstraling, personeel, ligging, relaxte vibe, ontbijt, kamers! Dit is naar onze mening écht een ondergewaardeerd verblijf! Misschien is dat maar goed ook, want nu is het nog een beetje een verborgen parel.

Il ristorante serale è davvero carino, mettono i tavoli sulla spiaggia e tante candele, mangiare a piedi nudi nella sabbia e davanti al mare è un sogno! Colazione buona e personale gentile

L’hotel a primo impatto è molto carino, tuttavia avrebbe bisogno di manutenzioni importanti e pulizia molto approfondita. La camera al piano terra per noi era impraticabile, polverosa, buia umida e con cattivo odore dal bagno!quella al primo piano con balcone invece molto meglio, ma comunque poco pulita. Non ha lettini fronte mare, ma si trovano all’interno di un corridoio di sabbia e palme molto carino.

L'atmosfera ottima, meravigliosa. Abbiamo alloggiato nella villa, estetica molto carina ed aria condizionata. Lo staff sempre disponibile e gentile. Colazione varia e ampia.

Ahimè in Sri Lanka si usa ancora l'amianto e il tetto della struttura è in amianto per l'appunto. Mangiare al loro cafè è parecchio costoso ma i prezzi sono alti in tutta la zona, forse lì un po' di più. Di notte sul tetto c'erano parecchi animali, ecco l'Asia prevede anche questo...spirito di adattamento :)

Prachtige locatie, erg leuke kamers een aankleding van de lounge area en het restaurant. Je kan erg lekker eten, en in de avond worden de tafels door een onwijs lieve oude man op het strand gezet. Wij hebben hier onze vakantie heerlijk afgesloten met een paar dagen strand en ontspanning.

Personeel doet goed hun best je moet alleen duidelijk aangeven wat je wil, iets meer assertiviteit zou hierbij kunnen helpen.

Slechte badkamer. Riool geur door de afvoer. Verbrande plastic geur wanneer we de douche opzetten. Licht in badkamer werkt niet. Het ontbijt was schraal. De prijs is te hoog voor wat je krijgt. Bovenop deze hoge prijs werd er ook nog een slechte conversie rate en 3% extra aangerekend omdat we met visa betaalden. Onderhandelen met deze uitbater is ook niet mogelijk. Hij verkiest een vrijwel leeg hotel boven zijn prijs te verlagen. Helaas zijn dit soort nadelen vrijwel overal in de regio van toepassing waardoor heel Nilaveli eigenlijk een grote toeristenval is. Er is weinig buiten een mooie zee te zien, de uitbaters zijn enkel op geld uit en bieden heel weinig waar voor je geld. Wij hebben ons bezoek aan de regio hierdoor vroegtijdig beëindigd en raden iedereen af om deze regio te bezoeken. Het is het geld absoluut niet waard en niet in proportie met de rest van Sri Lanka.

Naast de tegenvallers was het personeel vriendelijk, behulpzaam en het ontbijt was prima. Uiteindelijk prima tijd gehad.

We hadden vooraf ingelicht moeten worden dat onze kamer op 700 meter van Memo's verwijderd was. Dit zou een hoop negativieit/teleurstelling bij inchecken kunnen voorkomen. ( En een hoop negatieve recensies). Foto's en omschrijving op booking.com zijn misleidend. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding is slecht. Het huisje was achterstallig in onderhoud. Ramen afgeplakt met kranten, kapotte ruiten. Verder wel "rustiek" sfeertje en hebben ons prima vermaakt. Personeel misschien wat traag maar met beste bedoelingen zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

The location being right on the beautiful Nilaveli Beach is stunning. The rooms are well designed for families staying as they have a mezzanine level with additional beds. The staff are friendly and try their best to help. Highly recommend the Bruschetta - it is so tasty.

The breakfast is served from 8:30 - 10:30 and is a buffet. On the first morning there, we went down at 9:30 and there was barely anything left, some additional items were bought out but it was very sparse. The following morning, we made sure that we got there for 8:30 - seems everyone else had the same idea and once again the food provided on the buffet was finished within a matter of seconds. Despite their best efforts service is slow. We did have an issue with ants in our bathroom but we didn't need to raise this with the staff as we had some bug spray with us and it rectified the issue.

Breakfast - there wasn't enough food for all of the guests. If you weren't at the front of the queue at 8.30, when breakfast started you didn't get much. The staff were slow to bring out and top up items. You had to repeatedly ask for.more things to be brought out. I asked for a pot of tea two mornings and were told they had no tea, in a country that is famous for producing tea. The coffee at breakfast was from a small perculator and wasn't enough and constantly had to ask for more to be made. Staff were slow to bring coffee or drinks when asked. We are in the restaurant one night and the food was delicious, but the portion sizes were very small. The covers on the loungers were heavily stained and needed washing.

Nice place by the sea…

Too expensive for a place that doesn’t have higher quality standards. Staff should improve how to treat with the guest. Services too slow, staff unfriendly, breakfast doesn’t have enough food for everybody and some guests asked even for a plate … I asked for package breakfast the day I left and they say that this wasn’t possible, but that’s not a problem I understood their reasons, but the rude way they answered left me and my friends speechless. This is a place that definitely I don’t suggest to anybody.

Chambre insalubre infestée de cafards et termites, 1 ampoule sur 3 en état de marche, 1 sur 2 sur la terrasse que nous n’avons jamais utilisée faute de lumière. Robinet de chantier branlant pour l’évier de la salle de bain, matelas de la mezzanine pourris: les enfants dormaient sur les ressorts, dessus de lit et peignoirs sales. Et surtout personnel incompétent, personne ne parle anglais, certains se raclent la gorge à longueur de journée: totalement immonde. Et d’une lenteur, tout prend un temps infini et aucune de nos demandes n’a été honorée (changer des ampoules et avoir un matelas décent)

Il corpo centrale (reception, bar) ha una bella posizione sulla spiaggia.

State attenti se prenotate una Villa, non è vero che si affaccia sul mare ma si trova a 300 mt dal corpo centrale in una strada laterale con nessun tipo di vista. Il servizio colazione è molto basico, pochissima scelta e tempi biblici per il servizio (a pranzo ci siamo seduti alle 13:45 e ci hanno servito alle 15:15 - due piatti di pasta e due insalate -)

De aankleding van het hotel en de ligging direct aan zee is prachtig. Duikschool direct naar het hotel. Heerlijk ontbijt en romantisch dineren op het strand is ook niet verkeerd.

Het hotel ligt wel tussen 2 grote hotels in wat jammer is. Personeel is grappig en interessant inefficiënt maar dat heeft zijn charme.

Le Memo's a un emplacement incroyable, pieds dans le sable. La decoration sublime en fait un mini cocon isolé du monde (on oublie les constructions plus modernes qui l'entourent). Et cerise sur le gateau : un centre de plongée next door... La carte du restaurant est courte, mais les produits sont bons, et l'ambiance pieds dans le sable et flambeaux nous a séduit plus d'un repas... La chambre familiale ultra charmante (3 lits) nous a accueillis confortablement (ne pas s'attendre au standard aseptisé dun hotel international)

Nous sommes restés 4 nuits et la chambre (la poubelle notamment) n'a pas été faite (mais nous n'avons pas non plus demandé à ce que ce soit fait). Je confirme les remarques sur un service lent, un petit dejeuner pas pret avant 9h ... mais nous l'avons expérimenté ailleurs sur la plage... cela conserve à Nilaveli ce charme d'une station balnéaire encore loin de la surexploitation touristique, cool et nonchalante... Pourvu que cela dure !

Fantastic location, right on the beach, next to a dive centre, several beachfront restaurants within a short walking distance in either direction. Small cabana style hotel, with vintage/shabby chic interiors. Peaceful terrace with sun loungers steps from the beach and sea. Good breakfast with plenty of choice included. Cafe/bar/restaurant with varied menu of Sri Lankan and international choices (sandwiches, pasta,pizza). Delicious Sri Lankan curry (must be preordered as it takes a while to prepare). Good communication from owners after booking to arrange payment. Lovely staff, always polite, welcoming and helpful. Relaxing, laid back atmosphere. Nilaveli is lovely, not too busy or overdeveloped but with lots of activities (snorkelling,diving, fishing,whale watching) and beautiful palm fringed beach.

Some of the soft furnishings could be a bit cleaner but appreciate that it’s tricky with sand, water, and open air areas and it wasn’t a big problem to me. Service was sometimes a bit slow but staff were always polite and advised of delays during busy times.

Het personeel heeft geen idee waar het mee bezig is. Het is een groep rondhangende jongeren die het totaal niet in de hand hebben. Bij het ontbijt is alles steeds op, je wacht heel lang op je eten en drinken. Wij zaten in een bungalow bij het hotel vandaan. Het was er rommelig, kapotte lakens, geen fatsoenlijke douche, veel te weinig water uit de kraan. Ik voel me als klant niet serieus genomen! Geen wifi, geen water in 'the villa', geen mogelijkheid om evt vroeger te ontbijten of een pakketje mee te krijgen. En wel de hoofdprijs vragen voor eten en drinken.

Janu et son équipe nous ont superbement bien reçu et font tout le charme de cet hôtel de plage ! Le service était très sympathique, nous avons bien mangé et le beach club qui donne sur une superbe plage est un atout !

Nous avions réservé une chambre type villa donc censée être premium. Malheureusement il n’en était rien. La villa était spacieuse mais un peu dans son jus et surtout avec aucune possibilité d’être dans le noir ni même la pénombre… et qui plus est l’isolation phonique était juste inexistante ! Nous avons entendu tous les animaux alentour pendant toute la nuit (singes, chiens errants, vaches, oiseaux en tout genre). Évidemment le Sri Lanka est un pays dans lequel la nature est toute proche mais nous aspirions tout de même à un peu plus de sérénité la nuit ! C’était donc 2 nuits très compliquées pour nous… Heureusement que le beach club le jour ainsi que l’équipe venaient gommer nos mauvaises nuits.

Kamer met vier personen wat krap, we hebben er 3 nachten geslapen maar geen schone handdoeken gehad.

Heel romantische locatie, alles in dezelfde beach vibe, mooie details, heerlijk eten. Personeel was niet altijd benaderbaar. Wel duurder tov andere locaties

Emplacement super à deux pas d’un centre de plongée. Parfait pour une détente maximale sur la plage. La nourriture et le petit dej sont excellent, mention pour la pizza qui nous a surprise !! Un petit endroit de paradis loin du tumulte de trincomlee.

Attendez vous à un service un peu froid mais pas dénué de professionnalisme. Attention cependant, si vous avez la villa, elle est un peu espacé du Lobby, il faut faire 300 m sur la plage pour rejoindre l’espace détente sur la plage.

Der Eingangsbereich vom Haupthaus ist schön gestaltet. Die Pizza kann man essen. Die Klimaanlagen funktionieren.

Die Türen der Unterkunft sind nicht dicht, so dass man Mücken in der Unterkunft hat. Die Ausstattung ist nicht gut. Anstatt einer Villa ist es eher ein in die Jahre gekommenes Bauernhaus. Die Preise für alles sind völlig überzogen, sowohl für Getränke, Essen, Unterkunft und Transport.

the restaurant and the reception are gorgeous. Obviously the place has been decorated by someone who knows what they are doing. Also in the room the style is maintained. very nicely done. and it is right on the beach! The food was great. we had a big sri lankan curry dinner for 4 people on the beach (reserve in advance) and it was a lovely experience.

the rooms could be cleaner. (the fridge looked disgusting on the inside and not really usable) and some things don't seem to work. a little bit of maintenance and perhaps a little deep cleaning on occasion would go a long way here.

Chris and Luke have been fantastic! The whole team was very helpful, the place is magical. Hidden gem!

De hoofdlocatie lag voortreffelijk Super ingericht en vriendelijk personeel.

Onze woning was een bijgebouw wat op 10 minuten afstand lag van de hoofdlocatie....en was niets geregeld mocht je wat willen vragen. Schoonmaak en schone handdoeken moest je echt om vragen. Eten duurde inmens lang....wel erg lekker. Prijs kwaliteit ligt echt heel ver uit elkaar.

The booking we did had a beach but,the villa we stay did not have a beach, but we had to walk a bit and also they did not inform us.. and for breakfast we had to go to another place,The staff sereved breakfast very slowly .

Loved the vibe downstairs with the chilled out music, lovely decorations and loungers by the beach. The location on the beach was amazing. Food was delicious too.

They offer water downstairs so you can top up your bottles which is great in terms of cutting down plastic but it was never topped up so each time we came to use it it was empty.
