The most amazing hosts ever. Heart-warming breakfast. Just incredible people. Our appartment was really beautiful (better than the pictures might suggest). It lacked some furniture and storage space, but the owners told us they were about the complete the furnishing. A bit remote from town (10 min tuktuk), but in walking distance from the 9 arch bridge and really quiet with a really nice view. I can highly recommend this place for everybody that does not mind living a bit outside the noisy center of ella.

We hadden een geweldig uitzicht met een mooi balkon. De kamers waren groot en schoon. Maar vooral de host en zijn familie waren geweldig. Erg vriendelijk, behulpzaam. We hadden 2 kamers voor in totaal 5 personen. Aangezien we graag samen wilden ontbijten op het balkon werd er meteen een grotere tafel neergezet op een vd kamers. Ook konden we s avonds tegen een kleine vergoeding opgehaald worden uit het dorp door de host.

Het ligt erg ver uit het dorp,dus je moet met een taxi of tuktuk de berg op en af. Er wordt niet automatisch schoongemaakt iedere dag. Maar waarschijnlijk wel als je het vraagt

It's further away from the centre but the host dropped us off/picked us up anywhere for a reasonable price. It also meant a calm and relaxing environment.

The owners were so helpful and really lovely. True Sri Lanka hospitality. Photos were different to the property we were given but it was a very large property and did the trick. Location really near 9 arch bridge. Would definitely recommend this place especially those that want more of a home stay experience. Lovely ☺️

We had a wonderful stay as a family with two children. The hosts are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. They gave us great recommendations for hikes, restaurants, and activities, and every tip was excellent. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view over the valley. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast on the terrace each morning. The guesthouse is in a quiet location, just about a 15-minute walk uphill to the Nine Arch Bridge, and from there it’s another 20-minute walk to Ella town. If you prefer, it’s easy to take a tuk tuk. We highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Ella. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

ruime mooie familiekamer, in de natuur en met prachtig uitzicht, goed en aardig personeel, voelde een beetje als 'kamperen bij de boer' maar dan in luxe appartement. Lekker dichtbij Nine Arch Bridge.

Te ver weg van het centrum, in avond of nacht lastig om terug te komen met tuktuk omdat chauffeurs geen zin hadden in steile bergen en kronkelweggetjes. Geen contact met andere mensen die er verbleven omdat je allemaal in je eigen aopartement zit, vooraf moeten doorgeven wanneer je ontbijt wil is lastig want soms ben je eerder of juist later wakker en dan is al afspraak gemaakt... Maar als je van natuur en rust houdt zit je hier goed. Maar er zijn geen cafes of restaurants of loopafstand dus je zat er wel wat opgelosten in je appartement...

Hervorragende Unterkunft, super netter Host. Schöne große Zimmer mit fantastischer Aussicht. Frühstück exzellent. Das einzige, wass man wissen muss: Ella Zentrum ist rund 15 Minuten mit dem Auto / Tuktuk entfernt. Aber Dank Shuttle Service von der Unterkunft kein Problem

Wonderful view, close to nine arch bridge

No air conditioning made it very uncomfortable in some areas of the house. Facilities were very basic. Holes in fly screen plugged with tissues.

Просто потрясающий отель! Очень хорошие хозяева виллы, очень тепло к нам отнеслись, помогали в различных вопросах. Подсказали удобную дорогу до моста (дорога заняла около 15 минут вместо часа, как обещали гугл карты). Отличный вид из нашего номера. Очень вкусный завтрак. На завтрак приносили омлет, блинчики, фрукты, хлеб с маслом, чай. Специально для меня нашли свежую мяту, хотя ее не было. В этом отеле мы наслаждались каждой минутой проживания. И если я еще вернусь в Эллу, я очень хотела бы остановиться в этом отеле.

Really lovely property in a beautiful location, with outstanding scenery. In walkable distance to Nine Arch Bridge, Ella and Flying Ravana (via Nine Arch Bridge) Wonderful hosts and family who really couldn’t do enough for us, it was my partners birthday and they made it so special!

The only thing (very small) negative was the difficulty getting to Ella. However, this was just our first night, whenever we asked for a lift, the hosts didn’t hesitate and getting from Ella to our accommodation was easy. There was building work next door and in the distance but next door were considerate and just carried out work when we weren’t there, most of the time.

Wir sind mit gemischten Gefühlen abgereist. Auf der einen Seite ist die Inhaberfamilie unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit und steckt wirklich ihr ganzes Herzblut in den Betrieb und Ausbau ihres Hotels. Der Ausblick ist schön, allerdings ist die Anfahrt besonders mit größeren Autos etwas abenteuerlich, dafür wurden wir aber mehrfach kostenfrei gefahren.

Auf der anderen Seite stimmen einfach ein paar Sachen nicht. Zum einen wird während des Aufenthalts das Zimmer überhaupt nicht gepflegt, wir haben dann gefragt, ob wir zumindest den Müll abgeben können. Es wäre auch gut gewesen, wenn zumindest mal gefegt werden würde, da nachts durch die nicht vollständig schließenden Türen einige Insekten ins Zimmer kommen, die dann auf dem Boden herumliegen. Außerdem waren die Handtücher zum Teil zerrissen und fleckig, das wurde dann aber sofort ausgetauscht.

Mir hat einfach alles gefallen. Die Aussicht auf die Berge war sensationell. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend. Wir sind als Gäste gekommen. Und als Teil ihrer Familie gegangen. Ich wünschte ich hätte diese schöne Villa und großartige Familie nicht mehr verlassen müssen. Ich bin mit Tränen in den Augen gegangen

Es gab nichts zu bemängeln

Wunderschöne Aussicht, die Geräusche nachts und morgens waren unglaublich. Außerdem ist die 9 Arches Bridge in Laufnähe, das ist natürlich Extraklasse. Die Betten sind sehr komfortabel, das Bad schön gemacht mit etwas tiefer gelegter Dusche.

Durch die gut abgedichteten Fenster gab es Schimmel im Bad und im Zimmer – die Luftfeuchtigkeit kann nicht gut entweichen. Außerdem gibt es in nächster Nähe keine Restaurants/…, man ist immer auf ein Tuk-Tuk angewiesen. Bei dem Preis pro Nacht hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass das Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen ist. Ich hab mich manchmal so gefühlt, als ginge es dem Besitzer darum, mit allem noch mehr Geld zu verdienen (Frühstück, Abendessen, Sightseeing). Fair enough für die Familie, aber es hat sich für mich bei dem Preis nicht richtig angefühlt. Da habe ich an anderen Orten andere Erfahrungen machen können.

Hier würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder herkommen.Die Zimmer hatten eine wunderbare Aussicht ins Tal und die grüne Umgebung. Der große Balkon lädt zum Verweilen am Abend ein. Yachi und Indira haben sich vortrefflich um uns gekümmert. Aufgrund der sehr guten Sprachkenntnisse haben wir viel über Sri Lanka erfahren. Yachi hat uns einen Tag lang durch die Gegend geführt inkl. Besuch der Teefabrik und eines buddhistischen Tempels. Ansonsten hat er uns gerne immer wieder nach Ella gefahren oder dort abgeholt. Bei der Organisation unserer Weiterreise war er sehr behilflich.

Trotz der kurzen Entfernung dauert die Fahrt nach Ella doch ca. 20 min.. Die Zimmer waren etwas hellhörig.

The view into the jungle is stunning. Also the hosts are super nice and welcoming. They helped us a lot with driving us around and suggestions for activities in the area. The famous Nine-Arches Bridge ist just a short walk away. The breakfast was really good. You can choose between a continental breakfast and a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. We chose the continental breakfast with omelette and pancakes which was really good.

Hard to find transportation

Incredible views! Such a lovely place, clean, big beds, and shared space for the group. I really enjoyed it and the hosts and breakfasts were wonderful.

Nothing. One note is that it is on a very tight road so maybe don’t book a big van to drop you off. Tuk tuk is more ideal.

Fernando and his family absolutely made our trip. They treated us so well we didn’t want to leave. The house had a gorgeous view, breakfast was fantastic and we were so lucky to have Fernando drive us around as we needed.

Location slightly out of Ella central but was very well accommodated by our host.

Indira heeft ons verblijf echt geweldig gemaakt. Ze is zo lief, zorgzaam en aandachtig. Helaas was ik ziek geworden en Indira heeft echt alles uit de kast getrokken om het comfortabel voor me te maken. Speciale thee, een kruik, een hoofdmassage. Echt veel en veel te lief. Je hebt vanuit de kamer (slechts drie in totaal) geweldig uitzicht op de bergen. Dat is initieel de reden waarom we voor deze plek hadden gekozen. Het is ongeveer 15 min van het centrum van Ella af. De tweede reden waarom we hiervoor hadden gekozen. Lekker rustig haha, want Ella is een grote toeristen poppenkast. Ze verzorgen tegen 1200 roepie per keer een ritje van en naar waar je heen wil en dat is heel fijn van PickMe werkt hier niet. Die zijn niet welkom. Tuk tuk maffia… Zorgt er wel voor dat je afhankelijk bent van heb om je ergens heen te brengen. Iets wat wij liever zelf in de hand hebben. Toen wij er waren regende het veel, dus we hebben niet alles uit onze tijd daar kunnen halen. Wij als stel van midden 30 waren totaal niet ondersteboven van Ella en hadden achteraf gezien liever in een andere bergdorpje gezeten waar je in meer rust mooie wandelingen kunt maken. Om die reden misschien niet een 10, maar dat heeft eigenlijk niets met de accommodatie te maken, maar vooral met wat je er in de buurt kunt doen. Niet veel als het regent! Laatste grote pluspunt is weer het ontbijt. Dat doen ze in Sri Lanka allemaal zeer goed. De pani pol en het omeletje zijn geweldig!

Our hosts were absolutely lovely. They could not have done more for us and we’re also lovely to just chat too. Amazing view and breakfast, we also had one evening meal which was great. Transport on request from the property was welcomed. Beds were comfortable.

The location has to be considered- it’s a bit away from the city but becuase there are options for transport it wasn’t too inconvenient. The hot water was a bit unpredictable but there was also some bad weather during our stay which may have affected it.

Neu, großzügig, sauber und ruhig, etwas außerhalb von Ella, gelegen. Sehr netter und interessierter Gastgeber und sympathische Familie. Große und sehr gemütliche Betten, wir hatten ein Familienzimmer. Von der Terrasse hat man einen schönen Ausblick! Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt für eine Nacht.

Freundlichkeit des Personals, Shuttle Service macht die Lage ausserhalb des Zentrums unproblematisch

Fernando was an amazing host. Went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and prepared lovely juices and cakes to celebrate our honeymoon! Fernando brought us anywhere we needed to go and if he was not available, he arranged for an alternative. Attention to detail at Ella Panorama was perfect! Room was new and beautiful with incredible views.

Stunning views over the mountains with very warm and friendly owners. For a few dollars per person a delicious breakfast was prepared on our balcony where we could enjoy the panoramic views and get a glimpse of the train when running. A very tranquil and relaxing place to stay that is very good value for money. I highly recommend staying here.

We were charged for drinking water whereas most places at least provide 1 bottle per person. The hot water was also a bit hit and miss. These were not deal breakers

Wir haben uns im Hotel von Fernando und seiner Familie vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Alles war sehr sauber und der Ausblick vom Balkon ein Traum. Die Herzlichkeit und Fürsorge der Familie haben unseren Aufenthalt besonders gemacht. Sie haben wirklich alles für uns organisiert. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder! ❤️

Two amazing days in a wonderful setting. Only 10 min walk from Nine arches bridge. Fernando and his family were incredible and so welcoming to our family. We received help with every trip we wanted to take, and Fernando made sure everything ran smoothly without any issues. We were also invited for tea with the host family, which is truly an experience we will never forget. Our room was fantastic, really clean and overall very modern and the view was magical, BUT what we will remember most is their wonderful hospitality. We couldn’t recommend this place more! Go ahead and book. ☺️

Fernando und seine Familie haben uns super freundlich empfangen- waren sehr hilfsbereit und die Unterkunft war fantastisch. Wunderschönes Zimmer,- wunderschöne Aussicht. Alles super sauber. Und ich bin was Sauberkeit angeht sehr empfindlich :)

De locatie is dichtbij, loopafstand, van de 9 arches bridge en daarna kan je doorlopen naar little Adam’s Peak (dat is wel flinke wandeling, mooi voor ‘s ochtends vroeg). Prachtige ligging, met super uitkijk over de vallei.

Wij hadden het grootste appartement (3 kamers) en dat is verouderd. De andere appartementen zijn nieuw en zijn prachtig!!

Een hartelijk ontvangst met een persoonlijke pick up aan het treinstation nadat we van Kandy tot Ella reisden. We werden meteen in de watten gelegd en er werd steeds uitstekend voor ons gezorgd. Fernando was een uitmuntende gastheer die alle noden van zijn gasten ernstig nam. Niets was voor hem teveel. Hij regelde niet alleen alles in Ella, maar je kon daarbuiten ook op hem rekenen om vervoer te regelen of een safari in Yala Nationaal Park. Nogmaals bedankt voor alle hulp, Fernando. Elke ochtend werden we in de watten gelegd met een heerlijk vers bereid ontbijt dat werd geserveerd op ons privéterras. Lekker fruit, pannenkoekjes, Sri Lankaans eitje ... Het was perfect in orde!

Widok jest przepiękny, można się poczuć jakby się było w środku dżungli. Personel bardzo pomocny, mieliśmy kierowcę który nas woził z miasto do noclegu co było bardzo wygodne bo jednak jedzie się do centrum Elli jakieś 20minut.

Oddaliśmy ubrania do prania w 6 osób, każdy w innej siatce, niestety wszystko pomieszali razem i potem spędziliśmy dużo czasu żeby wszystko porozdzielać. Nie wszystko też się doprało.

This is a lovely accomodation outside of Ella. Our apartment had 3 separate rooms and 3 bathrooms and a large kitchen, which could host our family of 5 comfortably. It is well equipped, clean and our unit had 3 bathrooms. The terrace is lovely in the morning, where we enjoyed an amazing sunrise. It is 10 minutes on foot from the 9 arch bridge. If you want to enjoy the quuietness, this is your place.

The location was cca. 10 minutes from Ella downtown by car, with no facilities in the proximity.

Our stay at Ella Panorama Villa was absolutely wonderful. The property, the staff, and the overall hospitality made our experience truly memorable. The location is excellent, with the famous Nine Arch Bridge just a short distance away. The villa offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that perfectly captures the charm of Ella. A special mention to their senior dog, who added warmth and a homely touch to our stay — it made the entire experience even more endearing and wholesome. Our Ella experience was truly enhanced because of our stay here.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike — everything about the stay was wonderful.

Het is een ongelooflijk mooie plek. De kamer is heel groot en heeft een gigantisch raam en een groot balkon dat uitkijkt over de bergen en de valleien. Het is een korte wandeling (ongeveer 5 minuten) naar Nine Arches Bridge. Wij zijn aan het eind van de middag over het spoor naar Ella gelopen. Een heel mooie en makkelijke wandeling die je precies in het centrum brengt. Op de terugweg gingen we met een tuktuk. De badkamer is ruim en prettig. Alles is zeer schoon. En dan de gastheer en gastvrouw: ontzettend vriendelijk. Ze spreken beide Engels en ze zijn bereid van alles voor je te regelen.

Fernando and the family’s warm welcome and hospitality made our stay incredible. The view is amazing and the kindness of the host family touched our heart. They even helped us prepare a surprise birthday party for our friend. I highly recommend booking this villa for your stay in Ella !

La villa es espectacular, con unas vistas panorámicas impresionantes de la naturaleza que rodea Ella. La habitación era amplia, cómoda y muy limpia, con grandes ventanales que permiten disfrutar del paisaje en todo momento. El desayuno fue delicioso y variado, preparado con productos frescos. Fernando, el dueño, fue encantador, siempre atento y dispuesto a ayudar en todo lo que necesitáramos. Además, el conductor que también cuida la casa fue igualmente amable y servicial, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera todavía más acogedora y cercana. La hospitalidad de ambos marcó la diferencia y nos hizo sentir como en casa.

La vista dal balcone, la camera e la colazione abbondante anche se un po' costosa.

I bagni senza box doccia meritano una ristrutturazione. Mi aspettavo che la struttura fosse più vicina ad Ella.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön gelegen mit einem großartigen Blick ins Grüne. Frühstück wurde einem auf dem Balkon serviert, wodurch man den wundervollen Ausblick nochmal mehr genießen konnte. Das Zimmer und auch das Bad waren super sauber und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Fernando ist ein wahnsinnig toller Gastgeber, der sich immer gekümmert hat und uns einen tollen Aufenthalt ermöglicht hat. Sollten wir wieder nach Sri Lanka reisen, kommen wir ganz sicher wieder!

Duży apartament rodzinny - 3 sypialnie, 3 łazienki, kuchnia, salon I duzy taras. 10/10 Piękny widok z balkonu 10/10 Bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa, mogą dowieźć was w wybrane miejsce w dobrej cenie. Śniadanie 1500 LKR od osoby - pyszny omlet i naleśniki. Do tego owoce i raz sok z awokado. Ilość naleśników i owoców nie była podzielna na 4 osoby - dostalismy 6 naleśników, 6 plasterków ananasa.

Dojazd - wąska, uszkodzona droga która prowadzi do mostu 9 łuków, która często bywam zatłoczona. Trafiliśmy na święto buddy i długi weekend wiec na drodze była maskara i Duży korek - ostatni 1km jechaliśmy 1h. Nie każdy kierowca vana dowiezienia was do willi, wielu rezygnuje i.trzeba skorzystać z płatnego transportu z willi Zimna woda- na 3 dni pobytu nigdy nie mieliśmy ciepłej wody. Brak klima- spaliśmy przy otwartych oknach i na szczęście byly moskitiery. Hałas- auta i tuk tuka będące na most od rana nie dają spac. Jak traficie na święta jak.my to.nie da sie przespać nocy - modly trwają cala noc. Nie wiedzieliśmy o świecie i to sprawo ze nasz pobyt nie byl komfortowy.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm hospitality from the hosts. The real highlight was the breathtaking view. Waking up to such a stunning panorama every morning was pure magic. Właściciel jest niesamowicie pomocny! Naprawdę czułam się jak u rodziny, wszystko było podane, wszędzie czysto, nawet nas woził gdzie i kiedy potrzebujemy. Zorganizował nam wycieczki lokalne, naprawdę fenomenalne miejsce.

Lage, Aussicht, Frühstück und insbesondere herzliche, ganz tolle Gastgeber. Insbesondere empfehlenswert ist das brandneue Luxury Zimmer. Ganz in der Nähe der 9 Arches Bridge.

Ella Panorama Villa har det hele! De mest venlige og imødekommende værter, fantastisk udsigt, et yderst højt serviceniveau og en dejlig afsidiget beliggenhed med afslappende atmosfære. Værterne hjælper med transport til en fornuftig pris, skulle man have brug for det til og fra Ella. Vi ønskede at bruge køkkenet og straks var der ekstra udstyr til at lave det måltid vi ønskede. Morgenmaden var smagfuld og blev selvfølgelig indtaget på terrassen med den fantastiske udsigt.

The view is breathtaking and the host, Fernando, does everything to help you and make you feel comfortable. He is really kind. We ordered the breakfeast and dinner, surely recommend! It is an amazing place, near nine arch bridge, little Adams peak and the monastery.

The property is in a great location. A 20 minute walk from 9 arch bridge and 15 minutes from ella Central. Everything is clean and well kept.

Het contact met Fernando was super. Hij is zeer behulpzaam en ontzettend vriendelijk. Het ontbijt werd elke ochtend gebracht en we hebben ervan gesmuld. De woning zelf is ook super, netjes verzorgd allemaal. We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad in Ella.

De bedden zijn enigszins aan de harde kant. Kan me voorstellen als je rugklachten hebt, dit iets minder prettig slaapt . En wat betreft de locatie, je bent zeker een kwartier onderweg naar Ella, maar dit weet je van tevoren dus daar hebben wij geen last van gehad verder.

Everything was wonderful! A great space and beautiful view. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The only thing is it’s a bit out of the way and we struggled to get tuktuks at night occasionally. Overall though, it was a great fit for our group and the owners drove us to town when needed. :)

Excellent hospitality and host is very accommodating and helpful. The view and breakfast was also amazing couldnt ask for better. Only downside is that it is quite deep through a small windy road suitable for tuk tuks. So drivers (like ours) may not be willing to make the trip. But the owner was very accommodating and willing to drop us down to the main road area. Hot water and power was a bit intermittent, especially with the heavy rain first night, but host was quick to respond and provide fixes. Big thank you to Yachi!

Stunning view, great breakfast, helpful and accommodating host.

Small bedrooms, uncomfortable bed, hard pillows. The road to get there is very scary especially in a large vehicle. Pictures were lightly misleading.

Super schöne Lage mit Blick auf die Berge und den berühmten Zug über die 9-Arche-Bridge! Ausgesprochen herzlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, der immer für Tips und Reservierungen ansprechbar war! Gutes Frühstück!

Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, insbesondere Dusche und Küche sind zwar sauber und ok aber nicht besonders komfortabel.

Wir hatten eine unfassbar schöne Zeit. Der Host war unheimlich zuvorkommend und hat uns bei der Organisation sämtlicher Aktivitäten unterstützt. Das Frühstück war super lecker. Wir würden die Unterkunft definitiv unseren Freunden und Familie weiterempfehlen. 🌿✨

Das WLAN hätte etwas besser sein können. Aber das hatten wir bei vielen Unterkünften in Sri Lanka. Und so hat man einen Grund mehr, die schöne Aussicht zu genießen und nicht am Handy zu sein. ☺️
