Ella Walkers Nest

La posizione è ottima: a pochi passi dal centro di Ella, con negozi e ristoranti facilmente raggiungibili a piedi. La colazione è buona e abbondante, e per il nostro bambino è stata addirittura personalizzata, visto che non mangia molto la cucina locale. La vera meraviglia, però, è la proprietaria: di una gentilezza e disponibilità davvero fuori dal comune. Fa tutto da sola e si percepisce quanto ci tenga ai suoi ospiti.

Con un po’ più di attenzione alla pulizia della camera e alla cura di alcuni piccoli dettagli, come alcuni fori nelle zanzariere, l’esperienza sarebbe ancora migliore. Sono accorgimenti semplici che potrebbero valorizzare molto una struttura che ha già tanti aspetti positivi.

Dilu: la anfitriona! Una chica encantadora! Siempre con una sonrisa dispuesta a ayudar. Nos levantamos pronto para hacer la excursión a Ella rock y nos preparó un desayuno fabuloso para llevar. Todo un detalle. Tuvimos algún problema de hormigas y enseguida nos lo solucionó. El hospedaje está en un lugar privilegiado, lejos del bullicio de la calle principal, en un rincón rodeado de naturaleza. Nuestra habitación tenía una terraza con unas vistas impresionantes, desde donde podías ver a ardillas correteando por los árboles hasta monos. Todo un espectáculo para la vista!

Las instalaciones tienen algunos detalles a mejorar. Pero Dilu está trabajando en ello. Con el trato que nos dio, hasta se te olvidan estas cosas.

Me gustó todo,la habitación muy bonita,el desayuno delicioso y abundante, las paz y tranquilidad que da el lugar,buena ubicación, a 5 min caminando de la calle principal. Y mención especial para la dueña, un encanto de mujer que noa trató de lujo. 100% recomendable.

Petit hôtel très agréable avec une jolie vue sur les arbres. À proximité du centre et de la gare de train. Petit déjeuner excellent. Un grand merci à la dame de l’hôtel pour sa gentillesse pendant notre séjour, notamment avec mon fils malade.

Cela peut paraître un peu rustique avec des travaux en cours aux alentours

La Guesthouse e' in una zona tranquilla, a 10 minuti dall' affollata e caotica via centrale. La proprietaria e' stata molto gentile e premurosa e la stanza e' ampia e pulita. Molto consigliato

Struttura accogliente a due passi dal centro di Ella ma immersa nel verde. L’host davvero molto accogliente e disponibile. È stato davvero piacevole chiacchierare con lei! Colazione super!

We loved this little hotel for its closeness to town and the beautiful setting and our lovely hostess Delani. We were in Ella for two nights and our stay could not have been better. The walk to town is only 5 minutes as it is from the train station. Delani is helpful explaining how to get to the various sights.

There is nothing we didn't like.

De ligging vlakbij het centrum was perfect. Heel erg vriendelijke en behulpzame gastvrouw en heerlijk ontbijt.

Kamer heeft wel wat onderhoud nodig en er werd tijdens ons verblijf in het gebouw ernaast verbouwd. Het heeft ons verblijf niet nadelig beïnvloed, maar goed om te weten.

Tout était parfait de l'accueil, du logement ( très grand pour une famille de 5 personnes ) et surtout les conseils bien avisés de notre hôte pour les randonnées et la recherche de chauffeur pour le lendemain. Le petit déjeuner était parfait et copieux ! avec même une attention particulièrement pour faire plaisir à tout le monde Merci encore pour ce merveilleux moment logement très proche de la gare d'Ella et du centre ville avec les restos

Very nice accommodation located only a few minutes walk from the train station and the Main Street of Ella. Host is very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast both morning we were there was very nice!

Very peaceful and cozy place outside the room there is sitting area so you can enjoy nature, birds chirping and rain. There is also outdoor dining arrangement and we had really delicious breakfast. Our stay was for three nights and everyday we enjoyed rain. The host Dilani is such a nice lady

I had an excellent stay at Ella Walkers Nest. I would like to sincerely thank the host, Dilani, for her amazing hospitality and kind support throughout my stay. She was very helpful and made everything feel easy and welcoming. A special thank you for allowing me to charge my electric bike, which was a huge help during my trip. The homemade breakfast was absolutely lovely and delicious, adding a personal touch that made the stay even more memorable. I truly felt at home and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella.

Honestly, there was nothing major to dislike. Everything was well taken care of and met expectations.

It was one of those stays, that I will never forget. Not sure what to start with... The best ever breakfast in Sri Lanka, with dense, fresh mango juce and amazing pancakes? The stunning green view from balcony? The lovely host that was an artist, chef and fantastic women in one? Thank you for everything!

Das Zimmer war genügend gross um für 4 Personen Gepäck auszubreiten. Es hatte eine Ventilator und einen Kühlschrank. Super freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr feines Frühstück. Die Lage ist auch super 3 Minuten vom Zentrum und 5 Minuten von der Bahnstation.

Durch die Feuchtigkeit vom Jungel, war es im Zimmer auch extrem feucht. Was schwierig zu kontrollieren ist. So sah man eben an gewissen Stellen

Had a really nice stay at Ella Walkers Nest. The room was spacious and comfortable, which made our stay very relaxing. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. The location is also perfect—close to the town but still peaceful. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella!

Overall, the stay was pleasant, but there are a few areas that need attention. The shower floor became quite slippery when wet, which could be a potential safety hazard. The rooms also felt like they could use a bit of TLC, with some improvements needed in cleaning and maintenance. Aside from these issues, everything else was good and the experience was enjoyable.

Hôtesse très accueillante, toujours le sourire. Literie impeccable, chambre spacieuse, grande qalle de bain petit bémol pour la pression de la douche. Situation idéal a 5min du centre et au calme. Nous a même arrangé nos taxis. Je recommande vivement.

We loved it here, lovely property, short walk from town.. 5 mins.. easy. Host is a great communicator and gives you so much information about where to go and what to do. She is also an artist and has her work for sale- but no pressure to buy at all. She is accomodating for anything you need. If you need breakfast she will cook - just ask. We were so comfortable here and could have stayed a week or more. The room is comfortable with air con and mosquito nets, shower has amazing hot water and room is clean. It’s lively just to chill out and watch the wildlife around. Thank you for our stay it

The owner was absolutely lovely, the location is amazing - 3 mins walk into the centre but very peaceful and feels like you’re in the forest. Breakfast was delicious and the room was comfortable.

An amazing hidden gem- 5 min away from the festive street. Quite place with a lovely garden, very friendly and helpful host. She also made a very nice breakfast. The house also holds an art gallery. I will definitely come back

The room was nice and spacious, with a nice view of the jungle. The place is in a quiet area of Ella, but also still super close to the center. The breakfast was very nice and tasty! We even asked for help to arrange our transportation to another city and it was done super fast :) The host is very very nice and welcoming

La habitación estaba sucia: nos encontramos una cucaracha en el sofá y había hormigas por todas partes. Había solo un enchufe que fuera bien, el resto eran viejos y no funcionaban.

Nice place. The owner is a woman artist very polite and helpful.

Breakfast was not included but plenty of places nearby to eat. The owner was fantastic and went out of her way to be helpful even carried our cases up the stairs. The room was large and very clean. There were seats and a table outside so you could enjoy the view.

When we arrived the stairs up to the hotel were rather daunting (56 steps) but you did get used to them. In the bathroom it was a wet room and the water went everywhere, there was a mop which clear the water to the drain and this worked well.

В номере нет кондиционера, и мы знали об этом. Но в номере из-за этого очень влажно! В первую же ночь все вещи стали сырыми. У нас был номер на верхнем этаже, и по ночам по крыше бегают обезьяны, и мешают спать.

Virkelig imødekommende og serviceminded vært. God beliggenhed - vi kunne gå fra stationen, og samtidig lå værelset på afstand af bilos og larm på hovedgaden i Ella. Dejlig morgenmad.

Badet er ikke afskærmet, så der kommer vand over hele gulvet, når man er i bad. Men det tørrer hurtigt i varmen.

Die Lage war gut.

Die Bettwäsche war nicht gewaschen. Es war dreckig und das Badezimmer war voll mit Ameisen und Fliegen. Das Zimmer hat gestunken und wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt. Es hat nicht ansatzweise den Bildern entsprochen.

Camera ampia, spaziosa e pulita. La proprietaria è molto ospitale ed attenta alle esigenze delle persone. La posizione è ottima poiché vicina al centro ma immersa nella a natura. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è eccellente.

In questa fase sono in corso dei lavori per migliorare la struttura , quindi c’è qualche disagio nelle parti comuni all’esterno della camera. Il bagno è da migliorare.

De foto’s zien er mooier uit dan in werkelijkheid, maar het is een prima kamer en de gastvrouw is erg aardig.

De locatie was even zoeken en ligt op een minuut of vijf lopen naar de hoofdweg aan een doodlopende weg.

Mooie ligging op 10 min lopen van het centrum. Daardoor rustige plek. Mooi uitzicht je waant je in de natuur. De eigenaresse doet er alles aan om het zo comfortabel mogelijk te maken. Lekker ontbijt. Goede wifi.

Zoals op heel veel plekken in Ella wordt er veel in de omgeving gebouwd. Je hoort wat constructie geluiden overdag maar zeker binnen de perken. Douche regelmatig niet echt warm.

De gastvrouw is echt een schatje, ze doet er alles aan om.jouw verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Ligt op wandelafstand van het station en dichtbij het centrum. Leuke plaats om te verblijven en Ella te verkennen

Delani, the owner was so lovely. Really helpful & friendly and she made us the most delicious takeaway breakfast for our early departure.

Stayed with my 2 (adult) daughters and the room was really spacious and comfortable - perfect for the 3 of us. What really makes this stay is Dilani, who runs it. She is really lovely, very attentive, and is extremely helpful in a very inobtrusive way. We would recommend this place purely on her. But in addition it is very easy walking distance to everything, including the train station; the room is spacious and good; and Dilani provides an excellent breakfast (we especially loved the Sri Lankan turmeric crepes with filling!). We had also seen through other reviews that she is an artist, so we asked if we could see some of her works and ended up buying a painting and my daughter bought a bag with a print on it. All in all, would very highly recommend this place.

There was construction works going on, so we had to walk through this to get to our room so at times you just had to be careful, but the workers were very polite and accommodating. It really did not in any way affect our stay as we barely heard them and we didn't in any way notice it when we were in our room or sitting on the verandah in front of our room.

Si trova immersa nella natura ed è in una posizione molto tranquilla, a soli 6 minuti a piedi dal centro. Il personale è molto gentile ed accogliente e la colazione è varia e molto buona Siamo rimaste solamente una notte ma ci siamo trovate molto bene

Little paradise, calm and peaceful, surrounded by palm trees, flowers and singing birds, away from the busy centre of Ella, (but only a 5 minute walk to get here). Extra lovely host, who is always there for you, delicious breakfast. We (family of four) definitively will come back! Thank you very much for all Dilani!

Amazing staff in a great location. Ella’s was charming and this was tucked around the corner but close enough to get to everything.

L'hébergement comporte une terrasse qui donne sur un espace végétal. La chambre est très bien, le petit déjeûner est bien, l'hôtesse est très gentille. L'endroit est très calme.

Le lieu porte bien son nom: il faut monter pour y accéder! Par contre, on est loin du bruit de la rue principale. Il y a des travaux en cour sur le site et il faut faire attention (fers à béton qui dépassent...)

The family were so lovely and accommodating, it was a great location - just a 10 minute walk into Ella main street.

It was quite outdated, the bathroom had mould on the walls and the mosquito nets had holes in. The breakfast was just fried eggs and bread, probably best not to have.

L’accueil est magnifique et les petit-déjeuner sont parfaits. Dilani, l’hôtesse, est toujours à l’écoute et m’a aidé à découvrir de merveilleux endroits de la région. 1000 mercis pour ce séjour et ce partage! ✨🙏🏼✨
