Nuestra experiencia fue muy decepcionante. El alojamiento no se corresponde con la realidad mostrada en las fotografías. Cuando llegamos descubrimos que había obras en curso, algo que no se indicaba en ningún momento. En un entorno donde buscas tranquilidad y naturaleza, lo único que se escuchaba durante gran parte del día eran máquinas de construcción. Las vistas tampoco tenían nada que ver con las imágenes publicadas. Además, los balcones de las habitaciones estaban abiertos y conectados entre sí, sin apenas privacidad. La habitación estaba llena de hormigas e insectos, y la luz del baño no funcionaba. Solicitamos un cambio de habitación y la situación era prácticamente la misma. También observamos un mantenimiento deficiente en diferentes elementos del alojamiento. Intentamos explicar nuestra disconformidad de manera educada, pero no encontramos ninguna solución. El responsable se ausentó y toda la gestión recayó sobre una trabajadora que no podía tomar decisiones. Finalmente tuvimos que resolver todo por WhatsApp y se nos exigió el pago completo de las cuatro noches, pese a los problemas expuestos y a que el alojamiento estaba prácticamente vacío. Además, nos ofrecieron gestionar los tuk tuks durante la estancia, pero los precios que nos facilitaron fueron considerablemente superiores a los habituales de la zona. Una experiencia que nos generó bastante estrés y que, lamentablemente, no podemos recomendar.

The view from our room was beautiful, the staff was very friendly and tried to accommodate all our needs, the shower was excellent with a lot of hot water.

It is located quite far from the main road which requires a long drive for any type of activity. The internet speed was very low, sometimes below 1 Mbps. The staff tried to fix it but it wasn’t resolved. The toilet flushing mechanism didn’t operate well.

The location and the view is exceptional. Ideal for a perfect vaccation stay. Have space to stay free and calm. Friendly staff. They gave first aid to one of our friend which they have gone extra mile. Dedicated staffs. We enjoyed the stay. Still in that vibe of the view of little Ravana falls. Keep up your good work. Thank you.

My package was included free breakfast. But they have told to my crowd that there is no breakfast included. After I have told and sent them the reference ss of booking.com they accepted and offered. But the way they offer the breakfast wasn't nice comparing to their other service standards. If it is eligible they must know it and offer it. There is no need to request for meals as long as it is already included to the package. Also they charged extra amonth other than the bookin.com full fee (included tax value) saying changing dollar rate. Normally non of any hotel has charged like that before any stay. But it was jus 700 something. But it's not professional Pls take this into consideration.

Very nice view of the waterfall from balcony and windows. Surrounded by nature, it was lovely. Rooms were very nice and clean, washrooms had hot water, towels were very soft. They accommodated us for a later breakfast when requested, also got us king coconut water from their own coconut tree, and offered tea and coffee as well. Can see the train from balcony too, and they have very cute dogs. I saw an orange cat too at night, not sure if that's a stray. We could hear peacocks in the jungle but sadly didn't get to see any. Some stairs to get to the rooms, but not crazy. Yhry helped us carry our bags. All in all it was an amazing stay and I wish I could have stayed longer. The owners were very polite, sweet, and accommodating. They went above and beyond for this.

Wifi was a little slow, so not ideal for working remotely. But if you have a local Sim, the place catches great signals and I was able to play YouTube Netflix etc without buffering on the phone's internet. So even if wifi was slow, it didn't bother me.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Ella. The comfort is outstanding, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. Located in a lovely, quiet area away from the crowds, it’s the perfect place to relax while still being close to everything. The staff were adorable, so kind and attentive throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place!

Notre hôte a été d'un accueil des plus chaleureux ! Nous avions une chambre au dernier étage avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la cascade, les champs. Nous avons été bercés par le bruit de la nature durant 3 nuits. Mes petits déjeuners étaient délicieux et toujours servis avec douceur et gentillesse. Merci encore pour ce beau séjour dont notre petite fille reviendra chargée de souvenirs et nous aussi 🥰

Rien tout était parfait ! La route pour arriver au lieu est certe un peu laborieuse mais c'est le pris a payer pour profiter du cadre de cet endroit :)

Très bel endroit au cœur de la nature, le propriétaire est adorable et aux petits soins 🥰 Une vue à couper le souffle 🏞️ Et le paon fait son beau sur le toit d'en face! 🦚

Attention route sinueuse pour y arriver mais les tuktuk sont habitués. Et la chambre n'est pas totalement isolée, heureusement il y a des moustiquaires. On entend bien les bruits des animaux de dehors.

Das Hotel hat einen super Ausblick! Auf ein Wasserfall! Wir hatten einen Zimmerupgrage weil wir über booking gebucht haben. Daher war unser Zimmer ganz oben auf der Terrasse. Das Frühstück war ganz gut. Die Eigentümer leben unten im Erdgeschoss und haben ein Tuk Tuk, mit dem sie uns oft in die Stadt reingefahren haben. Zu Fuß in die Stadt würde es ca. 15-20 Min dauern. je nachdem , wie schnell man läuft. Ein normales PKW kommt eher nicht ganz bis zum Hotel, da der letzte Stück der straße eher eng ist. daher hat man uns mit dem TukTuk abgeholt und unsere Koffer extra noch mal hochgefahren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in der Anlage und würden jederzeit erneut das Zimmer buchen.

De locatie. Het uitzicht is fantastisch! Het personeel is heel aardig en wil je overal mee helpen. Zo ook wegbrengen met de tuktuk. Aanrader!

Heel vriendelijke eigenaar, homestay is mooi gelegen, goed uitzicht en op loopafstand van de buzz in het centrum. De familiekamer is ruim.

De kamer en dan met name de badkamer heeft wel wat liefde en onderhoud nodig. Er was niet echt plek om te zitten voor met z’n vieren.

Lugar muy agradable separado del jaleo del centro de Ella. En un paseo de 15 minutos andando estás en el centro. Para nosotros esto fue un plus, porque como digo, en el centro hay ruido y bastante tráfico. Las vistas desde el alojamiento son increíbles, plena naturaleza. Tuvimos la suerte de tener uno de los dormitorios que están arriba del todo: muy nuevos, amplios, y con ventanal hacia el paisaje. Los desayunos al lado del dormitorio…. Impresionantes. Y el personal, especialmente uno de los dueños, educado, atento y muy amable. Mil gracias por todo… totalmente aconsejable.

Para nosotros no fue un problema, pero tened en cuenta que hay 10-15min al centro andando con un par de cuestas llevaderas. También, si vais conduciendo tuktuk las cuestas os pueden dar respeto, aunque nosotros entramos hasta la cocina sin problemas. Si llamáis al propietario os soluciona el problema enseguida.

Stunning view on the waterfall from the room and the breakfast terrace:) nice peacock and amazing family, so nice and helpfull . Far away enough for staying quiet and at walking distance from the center, very nice shortcut along the Railway track. One of the best place for sure.

Despite this amazing homestay, it's good to know that there is some animal's : mouse on the roof on the highest floor and also a noisy wind that can be disturbing during the first night.

Super lieve mensen, fijn hotel met echt fantastisch uitzicht, lekker ontbijt, goede prijs.

Het was een hele klim omhoog. Dat vonden niet alle gezinsleden fijn. Je moet cash betalen, daar had ik niet op gerekend.

Camera pulita con vista eccezionale, personale altamente assente se non per il signore che provava a soddisfare le nostre esigenze (proprietario mai visto). Rapporto qualità prezzo non adeguato al servizio, in una città piena di turisti.

Für uns war die Lage perfekt, wir konnten direkt zum Wasserfall und Ella Rock loswandern. Total ruhig, in der Nacht hört man nur die Geräusche des Dschungels.

Taxis fahren die Unterkunft eher nicht an, da die waterfall Road gg Ende schlecht befahrbar wird.

Une super adresse à Ella si vous aimez la tranquillité. Une vue magnifique sur les environs et sur la cascade. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par le propriétaire et sa fille. Très bon petit déjeuner sur la terrasse et adapté pour les enfants. Et très pratique pour aller randonner à Ella rock. Un peu éloigné de la ville tout de même, mais possible d'y aller à pied en un peu plus de 20 minutes ou en tuk tuk. On recommande!

Nous avons aimé la localisation avec une vue magnifique, au calme et à une quinzaine de minutes de marche de la ville ainsi que le sourire et la gentillesse de nos hôtes.

The waterfall view was lovely, could hear it on an evening. The hotel was also away from the main road, however it was a half hour walk into thr main area of Ella. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and we got a lift from the hotel owner in the morning to catch out train. There was also a very comfy bean bag :)

Das Homestay ist recht einfach ausgestattet. Der Besitzer und seine Tochter sind sehr hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist okay. Man kann von dort auf den Bahnschienen gut zum Ella Rock wandern und man braucht ca. 20 Minuten in die Stadt.

Tuvimos una estancia maravillosa. Aunque cuando llegamos nos pareció que estábamos un poco lejos del centro, vale la pena solo por ls vistas y el entorno. Ademas hay un atajo por la via que llegas fácilmente hasta el centro de Ella. Al final fuimos, todos los días andando, hasta volviendo por la noche y super bien. La familia que lo lleva es realmente encantadora, sobretodo el hombre que fue muuuy atento. Hasta nos dio pena marchar de allí.

Les salles de bain ne sont pas idéales et difficulté à avoir de l'eau chaude. La ville est a 25mn à pieds mais ça se fait bien, même le soir

Wir wurden in der Unterkunft super lieb von der Host-Familie empfangen. Morgens gab es auf der großen Terrasse mit gigantischem Blick in die Berge und auf einen Wasserfall ein sehr leckeres Frühstück! Bei Interesse werden TukTuk-Fahrten zu fairen Preisen angeboten. Die Unterkunft liegt ca. 20 min Fußmarsch von der Hauptstraße Ellas entfernt, weshalb wir sehr ruhige Nächte hatten.

Incredible view of waterfall whilst eating breakfast. Very handy using the owner as a tuk tuk driver too! Good if you’re on a budget.

Sheets were damp with many ants under the douvet cover. This made us pretty uncomfortable when trying to sleep. Shower pressure was very low and sink wouldn’t unblock. Also got woken up at 6am by other guests eating breakfast in kitchen area.

The best part is the view. Clean and comfortable.

Located in the upper part of Ella, the trail features several climbs and requires a moderate level of fitness to complete but you’ll appreciate it once you see the incredible view. If you'd rather skip the hike, you can always take a tuk-tuk to the top.

Csodálatos kilátás a vízesésre.. kedves személyzet. Finom reggeli, vacsora. Mivel a hegyoldalban van a szállás, autóval nehezen közelíthető meg. De a tulajdonos tuk tukkal hozott, vitt minket.. .

The way up, takes 25 min uphill and challenge if you got your own tuk tuk (dangerous) and the rooms are very humid so the beds / linnen feels moist and mold.

Przepiękny widok na wodospad, czysto, bardzo mili właściciele. Dojazd do hotelu nie był łatwy, ale właściciel ma tuk tuka i po nas wyjechał. Jeden z najlepszych hotelu podczas naszych wakacji.

Droga do hotelu pokonała naszego kierowcę :-) ale na szczęście są tuktuki

The Host is kind and helpfull, and the View is amazing. It is clean, no bad smells, tastey breakfast, hot water with good preasure and hostel can secure you everything you need, just ask the host! Good price. Best guest place yet in srilanka!

Problem is to get to the hotel, couse the Road is not for a car, it s better to text the host for a tuk tuk, then it is no problem.

Situation exceptionnelle au milieu de la nature avec au réveil des colibris et des caméléons avec vue sur la cascade. La famille est très serviable et attentionnée.

Le chemin d’accès est chaotique. Les équipements sont spartiates et la salle de bains pas extraordinaire.

Cette famille Sri lankaise est très accueillante et dévouée, tres gentille et la vue de la maison est magnifique mais , il.faut le dire , difficile d accès. D abord car la route qui dessert ce quartier est abrupte et en mauvais état et puis pour accéder aux chambres il y a deux escaliers raides . Je n avais pas lu cela ds les avis . Ceci dit on y était bien .

A local family accommodation, with the most friendly and attentive owner ever. Every morning he offered me flowers, a true gentleman! We had a small problem with the room but they automatically moved us to another room. The room was great and clean. The breakfast was good too. They also have a laundry service and the clothes smelled great! They are carrying out works to expand the accommodation with new rooms and better conditions, so I believe that from now on this space will only improve.

Room with a bit of humidity but that's normal for a place like Ella. They don't have an ATM, which isn't a problem, but I'll leave this information here so that other guests have this information.

This is the hardest one to review out of all the places we have stayed …. As have mixed feelings about it ! There was construction going on at the property infront of the house which made it a bit of a challenge to navigate up there ( elderly guests would struggle ) the room itself was large but tired , felt a little damp , bathroom shower head holder was missing and mildew on the ceiling . Def needs a good redoration . Good points : the view ….WOW stunning view of the waterfall , wildlife on the upper dining terrace ( chameleons , humming birds ) , breakfast was good , host was charming . if you have the chance state you want to be on the highest floor ( same level as dining terrace ) as theses rooms seems to be in better Condition and a much better view of the waterfall fall .

Das Zimmer in dem wir waren war in Ordnung. Frühstück leider nicht so wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben und auch im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften nicht so gut.

The view is absolutely insane. The family is very nice. One morning we came late for breakfast after the hike to Ella rock and they still arranged breakfast for us. Would stay again for sure!

Pro: sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Familie, gute Beratung, gutes Frühstück, auch mal Kaffe am Nachmittag zwischendurch, süße kleine Welpen :) , sauber und ordentlich, schöner Blick ins Grüne und auf einen Wasserfall Con: recht weit außerhalb des Ortes, weiter Weg zu Restaurants, Geschäften usw.

Der Weg zur Unterkunft wahr etwas beschwerlich und der Eingangsbereich aufgrund von Bauarbeiten fast unpassierbar. Der Ausblick war dafür umso schöner. Die Sauberkeit ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Wir hatten Kakerlaken im Zimmer und überall Schimmel an Decken und Wänden. Durch die Feuchtigkeit im Zimmer waren unsere Sachen auch immer klamm und auch die Handtücher und Bettwäsche waren nicht sehr trocken.

Aangezien je in de jungle zit is het er vrij vochtig. Hierdoor was onze kamer heel muf en vertoonde schimmelvlekken. We hebben dit aangekaart bij de eigenaars en hebben nadien een splinternieuwe kamer gekregen die erg in orde was. Geen airco, wat het 's nachts erg warm en vochtig maakt

I had a perfect stay at this homestay. The place was beautiful, modern, and felt brand new. The location was absolutely stunning—peaceful and surrounded by nature—which is exactly what I was looking for. It is a bit out of the way, so getting back in the evenings took some planning, especially after dark. But that’s the trade-off for being somewhere so scenic. The host was kind, though not very present during my stay. Overall, I loved it and would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a peaceful, beautiful retreat.

Gyönyörű a kilátás

Yo viajé sola y el dueño del hotel me ayudó mucho con una situación que se me presentó, se lo agradezco de corazón. Se trata de habitación muy grande, la mia era nueva, todas con vistas a las montañas y a una cascada. Muy confortable, colchón y almohadas nuevas. Agua caliente en el baño, muy tranquilo para descansar.

Ligt midden in de natuur, ontbijt is heerlijk Ontbijten met uitzicht op de waterval. Goede bedden. Ligt een stukje van het centrum, daarom heerlijk rustig. Met de tuktuk ben je in 10 min in het centrum. Ook kan je over de spoorrails lopen naar het centrum dan ben je in ongeveer 15 min in het centrum. De eigenaar is een hele aardige man.

Wszystko nam się podobało! Gospodarz to najlepszy człowiek na świecie, który umila pobyt nie tylko swoją otwartością, ale także wieloma mega uprzejmymi gestami. Szczerze doradza jak uniknąć naciągaczy, oferuje przejazdy TukTukiem w bardzo atrakcyjnej cenie, pomaga na każdym kroku. Widok na wodospad jest spektakularny, a dzięki skrótom bardzo szybko można dostać się do centrum miasta :) polecamy gorąco!!!

Plamki na pościeli i spora wilgotność w pokoju - w naszym nie było wywietrznika, więc po nocy byliśmy nieco zaparowani ;) nie był to jednak wielki problem. Plusy tego hotelu kompensowały to z nawiązką!

Very nice view and away from the bustling center of Ella. The staff were nice and the rooms were clean, beds were comfy as well.

However, the rooms are very loud in the morning at breakfast time, from about 7. We could hear the conversations from the terrace and especially the scraping of the chairs was disturbing. So not exactly a quiet location.

Le logement est placé à environ 15 minutes à pieds de la ville, la vue est juste fantastique. On a adoré la tranquillité et la gentillesse des gérants. Le petit déjeuner est typique et fait maison.

Perfect spot for a couple of days. The waterfall view is outstanding. Home stay is located close to the train tracks so you can watch the train passing by and of course it’s a good way how to walk around. The family who owns the place is lovely and helped us a lot. With the tuk-tuk service and etc. Highly recommend this home stay, we loved the time there.

Super nette Familie mit super Frühstück und tollem Ausblick

Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb der Stadt und nicht ganz so leicht zu erreichen.

+ eine ganz herzliche Familie, vor allem der Gastgeber! + sehr hilfsbereit, hat uns öfter mit dem Tuktuk irgendwo hingenommen + gute Lage für Wanderung zum Wasserfall und an den Bahnschienen lang + gemütliches Zimmer und alles sehr sauber + Frühstück war zeitlich flexibel mit viel Liebe zubereitet + Ca. 15 min Fußweg bis ins Zentrum von Ella, dafür aber schön ruhig und ein Wahnsinns-Ausblick vom Balkon/Frühstück auf den Wasserfall!
