La chambre était très agréable avec beaucoup de charme, spacieuse et grande salle de bains. Très jolie vue sur les montagnes avec jolie lumière. Personnel au top, extrêmement gentil ! Petit déjeuner copieux et délicieux, le meilleur qu’on ai eu en 2 semaines au Sri Lanka ! Et dîner également très bon !

Enorm lieve mensen, schone kamer, lekker ontbijt, mooi uitzicht en goede laundry service met alles gestreken. Parkeerplek voor onze tuktuk. 100% aanbevelen!!

The view from the terrace was very beautiful and the food incredibly delicious. The hosts are so kind and made us feel very welcomed. The room was clean and comfortable.

The host family were so welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast and dinner were both fantastic. There was more than enough food and it was great value. The view from the balconies was so beautiful and peaceful. A definite must to recommend as a place to stay.

A wonderful little hotel with a truly charming family. The hotel is peacefully located, offers breathtaking views, and is only about a 10-minute walk from Ella town centre. The family was incredibly warm and welcoming. When we were playing cards on the balcony, they even brought us incense sticks to keep the mosquitoes away. We were also spoiled with a fantastic breakfast every morning. We highly recommend this hotel — 10/10!

La famiglia che mi ha ospitata e che gestisce la struttura è gentile e genuina. Super dedicati agli ospiti e davvero di una gentilezza senza paragoni la colazione è diversa ogni giorno, io letto estremamente comodo e ho molto apprezzato che anche se molto vicina dal centro non sia nel rumore e nel traffico della strada principale. La vista è pazzesca. Quando sono andata via mi hanno anche preparato una sporta con il pranzo e regalato una borsa con il logo della struttura!

The location is enchanting. Just a 10 minutes walk from city at a place with a beautiful view, monkeys on your terrace, a private setting, rooms with ac/ ckean/ working showers and…… superb hospitality by the couple that runs the place. Did I mention the abundant and tastefull breakfast? Go there…. U wont be dissapointed

Het balkon buiten heerlijk om lekker ontspannen te kunnen zitten en daar je ontbijt te eten. En ontbijt was echt heerlijk. En dan de eekhoorntje die voorbij lopen als je aan ontbijt zit

Merveilleux accueil de Dali et Gayan. Les chambres sont très mignonnes propres et confortables avec une petite terrasse. Excellent petit déjeuner, très copieux . Encore merci pour tous vos conseils de visite et votre gentillesse.

Ottima e abbondante la colazione al mattino in terrazza, con prodotti tipici, frutta fresca, egg hopper. Bella anche la vista della montagna dalla terrazza con le scimmie che attraversano i fili dell'elettricità proprio davanti alla struttura.

Il bagno ha bisogno di una ristrutturazione e sono rimasta senza acqua proprio mentre ero sotto la doccia. Pure la camera non è esattamente come compare in foto, sinceramente non comprendo le numerose valutazioni da 10. I proprietari sono stati gentili e accoglienti, niente da dire su questo, ma facendo una media la mia valutazione è di una buona struttura, non di sicuro eccezionale. Posizione impegnativa da raggiungere in auto.

Ha sido una experiencia totalmente recomendable. Llegamos pronto, no nos dimos cuenta de avisar y en un rato nos tenían la habitación impecable, ofreciéndonos un té con galletas de bienvenida. La cena es riquísima, hemos comido el mejor huevo de Sri Lanka y todo a un precio más que razonable. La familia es un encanto, nos hemos sentido como en casa. Y las vistas desde la terraza son de postal. Volveríamos sin dudarlo.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour chez Gayan et sa famille. Ils nous ont reçu comme des membres de leur propre famille. Nous nous sommes régalés avec les petits déjeuners Sri Lankais. Nos filles ont aimé jouer avec leurs enfants. Ils sont le sens du service, on les recommande à 100%

Rien sur la guest house mais a noter qu’il faut reprendre un Tuk Tuk pour aller manger en ville 😊 (mais la maison est au calme et c’est ça qui est top)

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das Essen war fantastisch! Ella ist gut zu Fuss erreichbar und man hat trotzdem etwas Ruhe vom Trubel dort.

Una familia encantadora. Nos recibieron con café y pastas. La ubicación es perfecta ya que está alejada del ruido de Ella y en 10 minutos caminando estás en la zona activa del pueblo. Nos ayudaron a gestionar el taxi.

A lovely small hotel run by a very kind and helpful family who did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was generous, delicious and well served. The room was comfortable with A/C. The location can be a little tricky to find at first, but the owner is improving the signage. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the main street and the train station, with a slight uphill walk (not recommended at all for people with mobility issues). We enjoyed many hikes starting from the hotel and had a wonderful stay!

Gayan et Duli sont aux petits soins et ultra disponibles et réactifs. Je recommande vivement de séjourner dans leur logement !

La guest house est située un peu en-dehors de l'agitation d'Ella, donc au calme. On peut toutefois facilement aller à pied au centre (~15min) en journée (pas fait le soir, car route principale avec circulation). Idéalement située pour la rando d'Ella Rock. Duli et son mari sont adorables et nous ont beaucoup aidés pour arranger des tuk-tuks dans la région. Les petits-déjeuners (délicieux et variés) sont pris sur la terrasse partagée avec la 2e chambre, avec une magnifique vue sur les montagnes et en compagnie des singes.

Hervorragender Host, Gayan und seine Gattin sind enorm hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und abseits von den jugendlichen , faschingsartig gekleideten Partylöwen, die sich weltweit on den Highlights einfinden. Die Gastfamilie ist bodenständig und der Hausherr Eine Sensation! Der Ausblick unbeschreiblich.

Für die Warmwassermischung war ich zu ungeschickt.

We chose the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. ie String Hoppers and Egg curry. Very tasty. View was fantastic. We could see the Ravana falls from the Balcony.

Controlling the monkeys. They make noise early in the morning by running over the roof.( Host has no control over them anyway.)

Stunning scenery from the balcony sitting area, which was a private dining and chill out area, that was beautiful and cozy to relax. Wonderful breakfasts and dinners, hosts can also arrange tuk tuks.

El hospedaje es hermoso. Tiene una vista increíble. La familia es muy amable y está en todos los detalles. Nos han cocinado y nos preparado un desayuno increíble. Totalmente recomendable. El mejor hospedaje que hemos tenido en Sri Lanka.

Das Welcome inn ist ein kleines super sauberes Homestay in sehr ruhiger Lage am Berghang. Die Familie ist sehr, sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit bei der Planung von Ausflügen und allen Fragen. Der Scooter wurde 1 Stunde nach Ankunft geliefert. Das Essen ist köstlich (wir hatten uns srilankan food gewünscht). Ein Trinkwasserspender stand zur freien Verfügung. Sehr gute Betten, super Aussicht von der Terrasse in die Berge. Laundry auf Anfrage. Es gab zum Frühstück immer 3-4 Sorten Obst, Eier, Pancakes, srilankan Breakfast mit Roti + Sambol. Auf Wunsch auch Toast, Marmelade und Würstchen. Im Zimmer ist ein Wasserkocher, Tee, Kaffee, Zucker stehen dafür bereit. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist sehr schön, gerade am frühen Abend vor Sonnenuntergang oder früh morgens zum Sonnenaufgang. Wir haben tagsüber mit dem Scooter die Bergregion erkundet und am frühen Abend die Ruhe und herrliche Aussicht von der Terrasse genossen.

We absolutely loved this property! What a beautiful home and family. Clean rooms with a gorgeous view from the balcony. The hosts were very attentive and great communication. We had optional breakfast /dinner, which I highly recommend! Short walk into the main town. We will remember this place forever 🫶

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay due to how welcoming and lovely the family was! Whilst facilities are simple, I wouldn’t have chosen anything else - location, breakfast on the balcony were amazing, room was tidy and we were well looked after.

Gayan is a super host! We stayed in the upstairs room. The room was big with its own balcony with a great view. The breakfast provided by the family was top notch. One of the best hospitality I’ve ever received. Also their kids are super cute!

The owner was very helpful and considerate, he could do everything you need.

The most gorgeous location and view, hosted by a beautiful family and magical breakfasts!

We stayed at the room at the top of the villa and the sunrise view across the valley was epic. You can see beautiful waterfalls, Ella Rock, Adams peak and all the gorgeous jungled hillsides from your balcony. We were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast in private outside our room with the most beautiful view and watch all the animals and birds wake up as we did so. Also, another review mentioned the egg hoppers... and I can confirm they are the best I've had in 5 visits to Sri Lanka!! The family that run the place are wonderful and it is a perfect distance away from the noisy centre of Ella but close enough to walk - its also on the hiking route for Ella Rock and a large waterfall, plus there is another waterfall worth visiting a short walk away down the hill. Highly recommended

One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! The location is amazing, just a 10 minute walk into Ella but away from the noise and with incredible views. Breakfast was delicious, room was huge and clean and the terrace is lovely to sit out on. We left at 5am for a safari and the hosts insisted on making us a packed breakfast, they were waiting for us with it when we got up - the kindest people!

Tutto bene. La sera necessario prendere un tuk tuk per tornare, ma noi abbiamo preferito scegliere un posto tranquillo, quindi rifaremmo la stessa scelta.

Amazing homestay experience - super clean, very comfortable and had everything you would need. Lovely food - great breakfast. Very friendly, attentive hosts. Felt very looked after. The location was nice for us, as it was a bit out of town, but easy to walk in. Very easy to get to the main Ella attractions. Would highly recommend.

The Welcome Inn is situated in the most beautiful location with gorgeous views of the mountains, including Little Adam’s Peak and Ella Rock! The host family was amazing - The kindest people you could meet. The food was delicious. We had breakfasts as well as dinner one evening, and it was all so good and plentiful. Town is a short 10 minute walk, but it’s also very easy to book a tuk tuk. I 100% recommend this little jewel.

We had an exceptional stay here in Ella. The location is perfect, very close to the main area but still quiet and surrounded by nature. The room was comfortable and everything was very clean. Breakfast was excellent every morning. What really makes this place special is the warmth and kindness of the owners who live there. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful during our stay. Another highlight was the possibility to have dinner at the property — the local dinners they prepare are absolutely spectacular. Highly recommended if you stay in Ella.

The view from the terrace is stunning, the room has no aircon but has a fan and in the evening the temperature was fine. Duli was super helpful and nice. Breakfast is really good. The house is only a few minutes away from the Main Street in Ella

Was not easy to understand how to get there the first time. The door of the room was not so stable but it looks like someone from the house is always around so overall it feels safe

Welcome Inn is such a sweet and peaceful refuge from the bustle of downtown Ella 😊 the view from our first floor room patio was stunning plus we could go up to the rooftop for even bigger vistas! We saw sooo many monkeys, a wide variety of birds and even a giant squirrel running across a power line right in front of us! Our host Nuli and her family took such good care of us — they were so kind and gracious plus served delicious breakfasts! What a fantastic way to chill in Ella.

Das Welcome Inn ist mit Abstand das beste Homestay, das wir in Sri Lanka, vielleicht sogar jemals hatten. Es war alles perfekt! Das Zimmer ist groß, sauber und gut durchdacht und die Aussicht von der Terrasse einfach unglaublich! Die Lage ist super, schön ruhig und abseits des Trubels, aber trotzdem in Laufnähe zum Zentrum. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und bemüht und das Essen war super lecker! Jeden Abend gab es etwas unterschiedliches und das Rice and Curry war mit eines der besten, die wir hier hatten. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben und können es wirklich jedem ans Herz legen dort einen Stopp zu machen.
