Очень доброжелательный хозяин. Заселились раньше положенного времени. Угостил нас вкусным кофе, пока мы ждали. Всё чисто, в комнате чайник, полотенца, мыло, туалетная бумага. Также на тук-туке доставили нас бесплатно на автобусную остановку, когда мы уезжали. Очень рекомендую!

We had a really great stay! The host was super friendly and accommodating. It’s very convenient that you can rent a scooter and do your laundry directly at the accommodation. The location is good and not far from the beach. Overall, great value for money, and we felt very well taken care of.

There is no air conditioning, only a fan, so it can get quite warm if you don’t open the windows and let some fresh air in. However, this didn’t really bother us, and we were still able to sleep very well.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here! I originally planned to stay for fewer days, but ended up extending for two more nights because it was so special. The family is so lovely and welcoming, making sure everything you need is taken care of. It truly felt magical. Highly recommended!

Tanto el matrimonio como los hijos encargados del alojamiento son súper majos, encantados de ayudarte en todo. Ubicado en la carretera principal puedes ir andando o con pick me. En un momentos y por nada estás en todas partes. La habitación está limpia y es amplia.

Habitación espaciosa, limpia, en una alojamiento muy acogedor con ambiente playero. Los dueños nos trataron genial, con todas las facilidades e información. Ubicado cerca de la playa, en una zona con ambiente local.

Estuvimos alojadas dos noches en habitaciones con aire y una por equivocación nuestra en la reserva con ventilador. Sin duda es necesario el aire acondicionado. Además tuvimos la mala suerte que ese noche hizo mucha calor y mucha humedad y fue insoportable dormir. Con aire acondicionado es un buen alojamiento

Habitació amb un llit molt còmode i dutxa amb aigua calenta. L’aire acondicionat feia una mica de soroll, però a nosaltres no ens va molestar. Ens van atendre molt bé i ens van donar bons consells. No dubteu en allotjar-vos-hi!

La famille qui tient cet établissement est très gentille, disponible, agréable, et à l’écoute. L’établissement est très bien placé, proche d’une très belle plage! Les chambres sont très propres et la petite terrasse pour déjeuner le matin face à un très joli jardin est très agréable ! La famille nous a proposé de prendre une douche le soir avant notre départ tardif en bus, c’était vraiment très gentil ! Merci encore !

I stayed for a whole week and had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a lovely garden that made the stay even more peaceful. The hosts are a lovely family who were professional, welcoming, and always helpful whenever I needed anything. As a solo female traveler, I felt very comfortable and safe throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again!

I can’t see how people give this place a 9 or a ten it’s not clean and without the aircon extremely hot .

It was extremely noisy I couldn’t sit outside for a cupa to read in the evening or morning. I asked for a bottle of water and was told to buy one from the shop down the Rd I could clearly see bottles of water in the storage room he did not want to give me one. I asked for a cupa for my tea he handed me a stained cupa I showed him he wiped his fingers inside said it was clean and handed it back to me. The outside photo is now looking so dirty and unkept. I would advise to find somewhere else there are many nicer places so close by .

L’accueil est au rendez-vous, les hôtes sont extrêmement gentil et sympathique. La chambre est très propre et le cadre avec le petit jardin rajouter un vrai charme. L’emplacement est idéal.

The place was nice, simple, and had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. You can also book activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and more directly through the accommodation, which was very convenient.

Place was comfortable with a nice bed, mosquito net, clothes storage, kettle etc. The bathroom has a nice shower. The host was really lovely and helpful: helped us book a snorkelling session including transport there and back. We also had an issue with our toilet being blocked and as soon as we informed him he attended to it. Location is good, 30 minutes walk along the beach from most of the main restaurant or 5 minute tuk tuk. Supermarket is only 2 minutes away (walking) and there is a nice café next door. Fort Frederick and deer park are a 5 minute tuk tuk in the other direction than the restaurants.

Quite a few small insects but mainly in the bathroom.

Nous avons passé quelques jours au Pleasant Park Holiday Inn à Uppuveli et nous le recommandons sans hésiter ! L’hôtel est idéalement situé, à une dizaine de minutes à pied de la plage, dans la rue principale avec des commerces et tout ce qu’il faut à proximité. Les chambres sont propres et climatisées. L’établissement se trouve dans une jolie cour, derrière un portail bleu, ce qui donne un vrai sentiment de sécurité. La cour est pleine de charme, avec un joli espace où l’on peut même croiser des chatons. Pour rejoindre les chambres, on passe devant la maison du propriétaire, qui vit sur place avec sa famille, ce qui rend l’endroit encore plus accueillant et authentique. Un immense merci au propriétaire, qui a largement contribué à rendre notre séjour aussi agréable. Toujours souriant, bienveillant et disponible, il prend le temps de discuter avec ses hôtes, de donner de précieux conseils sur les activités à faire dans la région et s’occupe volontiers des réservations. Grâce à lui, nous avons fait les excursions à Pigeon Island et l’observation des baleines, deux expériences absolument incroyables que nous n’oublierons pas. Il est toujours prêt à aider, tout en restant discret, et veille à ce que l’on ne manque de rien. Merci encore pour votre hospitalité !

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad. De kamer was schoon, ruim en heeft een heerlijk zitje buiten. De waterkoker op de kamer is een grote plus! Er zijn 2 ontzettend schattige kittens bij de homestay die we nu al missen. De familie is heel hartelijk en laat je direct thuis voelen. Er worden zowel tours als scooterverhuur geboden voor een goede prijs. Als het verblijf niet compleet volgeboekt was, waren we ongetwijfeld langer gebleven.

Theepan and his family are extremely friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble.

Very nice stay in this guest house, near Uppuveli and Trincomalee. Theepan and his wife are very kind and full of good advice. The room is good with AC, in front of a beautiful little garden. I recommend to rent a scooter (or take a Tuk Tuk) and then go all along the coast.

The place is nice and the owner is very lovely. It would be better with an AC but we knew it won’t be there so the fan was good enough.

The host Thiben (I am might be getting the spelling wrong here) was very warm and welcoming. I liked the quiet ambience of the surrounding area. He can also hook you up with rental scooters and great deals for whale watching , snorkelling etc. Also, he helped me with places to visit in the area. Great value for money and I had a great stay.

the wifi was a little spotty but nothing that caused any big problems.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was good, with an excellent shop across the road for breakfast and snacks. The Uppuveli Beach was quite close.

The room was quite hot (my fault though - I should have selected an air conditioned room)! Opening the shutters at night helped a lot.

Estuvimos muy cómodos durante nuestra estancia en Pleasant Park Holiday. El alojamiento está bien ubicado, muy cerca de la playa, lo que resulta muy práctico para disfrutar de la zona. Además, queremos destacar la atención de Theepan, que fue muy amable y estuvo pendiente de nosotros en todo momento. Una estancia agradable y recomendable.

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Goede airco en warme douche. Binnenplein om je tuktuk te parkeren. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. We voelden er ons erg welkom. Voor je deur tafeltje en 2 stoeltjes als je even buiten wil zitten.

Burada 4 gece kaldık ev sahibi çok kibar ve misafirperdi.Memnun kaldık.Bahçede iki yavru kedi vardı özellikle onlarla zaman geçirmek güzeldi.Denize çok yakın bir konumu vardı.

Theepan and his family were warm, welcoming, and did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Recommendations for local food were great as well as offers of support arranging anything we wanted to do on our behalf couldn't have been better. At a very reasonable price and location that walks you right onto the beach, you can't ask for much more at such a reasonable price - 10/10

La gentillesse des hôtes. Nous étions 2 adultes et une ado. A trois nous n’y passerions pas plus personnellement mais pour y dormir 1 nuit c'était parfait.

Gute Lage nah an vielen lokalen und günstigen Restaurants, super hilfsbereite und freundliche Gastgeber, die jederzeit bei allen Anliegen zur Stelle sind.

הבחור היה נחמד ממש ואפילו קנה לי ברגים בעיר לתקן את המראה של האופנוע! יש מזגן ומים חמים, מיטה ענקית ונקי מאוד. קרוב גם למסעדות מקומיות זולות וסופר וחמש דקות נסיעה מהאיזור של כל התיירים. בקיצור, אין תלונות ושווה את הכסף!

Very confortable room, close to the beach. We had an amazing stay thanks to our host and his family.

Les chambres sont propre, la plage d’uppuveli est a 20minutes a pied. La famille qui tiens la guesthouse est très sympa.

La salle de bain mérite un petit coup de neuf mais ça reste bien.

I rented a room here in Uppuveli and had a great experience. The room is spacious, very clean, and well-furnished, which is rare for budget options. The bed is comfortable, and there is a kettle right in the room. I really enjoyed the nice yard with palm trees, the available bicycles, and especially my personal table outside the room where I could drink tea in the shade in the evenings. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always helpful with anything you need. Highly recommend!

As a small tip, I recommend upgrading the tires on the bicycles.

Sono rimasta qui per 4 notti e sono stata davvero bene. La famiglia che gestisce la struttura è molto accogliente, gentile e sempre disponibile, cosa che ha reso il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. La posizione è ottima, a pochissimi minuti a piedi dal mare. La camera essenziale ma pulita e confortevole, esattamente come nelle foto. Ho apprezzato soprattutto la presenza della rete per gli insetti sopra al letto anche se durante tutto il soggiorno non ne ho mai trovati in camera. Un’ottima opzione in quel di Uppuveli!

Nous avons pris la chambre avec climatisation, c’était très bien ! Les hôtes sont très gentils. La localisation est parfaite entre Nilaveli et Trincomalee.

Aucune possibilité de cuisiner sur place, et la plage à 5 min à pied est très (très sale), il faut marcher un peu avant d’être sur la jolie plage d’Uppuveli.

Tout! C’est mon second séjour dans cette maison. J’y avais déjà passé 5 jours fin juillet 2025. Je suis revenue pour 11 jours parce que : 1) La famille est adorable,2) La maison est extrêmement bien située ( à 5’ à pieds de la plage en traversant la rue juste en face ; à 2’ d’un extraordinaire restaurant hindou végétarien ( sur le trottoir d’en face) et de deux autres restaurants Sri Lankais dont la cuisine est de qualité, au bout de la rue vers la gauche), d’un supermarché, d’un magasin pour animaux ( rare au Sri Lanka) où l’on peut acheter des croquettes pour les chiens errants, bref il y a de tout dans cette rue; Trinco centre est accessible à pieds en 40’ par la rue ( coast road, ou la plage ( on atterri alors dans la parc des daims ) sur la droite , et Nilavelli sur la gauche ( 10 km, mais on peut prendre le bus Trinco- Pulmodai, on descend à «  Nilavelli ayurvedic hospital » 120 Lkr). La gare de train est accessible à pieds ( vers Trinco à droite puis 2km). En 11 jours je ne me suis pas ennuyée une seule fois et il me reste encore bien des coins à explorer. Trinco est très bien desservie en bus, le luxury bus AC to Colombo pars à 3h45 le matin et arrive à 9h (1700 Lkr ). Si l’on arrive de KANDY (ou Dambulla, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa), c’est très simple, de JAFFNA aussi, en bus local, pour une somme modique (1/2€). 3) Les chambres sont spacieuses et extrêmement propres , pourvues d’une bouilloire pour le petit déjeuner. J’ai pris une chambre avec AC cette fois, et c’est beaucoup plus confortable car il fait toujours plus chaud au nord et le ventilateur n’est pas très efficace. 4) Pour une femme seule, ce lieu est très sécurisant,j’y enverrai ma fille de 22 ans les yeux fermés. 5) Même en pleine saison ( mais c’est bien mieux en avril), il n’y a jamais autant de touristes que dans le sud ( Matara/Mirissa/ Unawatuna / Hikkaduwa/ Bentota), et 6) les prix sont bien plus abordables que dans le sud y compris en pleine saison.

La seule chose qui manque peut être, pour un long séjour, c’est l’accès à un frigo pour éviter de polluer en achetant 3 bouteilles en plastique d’1,5 l par jours. Mieux vaut utiliser des 5l.

The beds were very comfortable. Very spacious room with two beds, aircon was very good and fan. Bathroom facilities were good with warm and cold showers. Owners were so friendly and helpful, arranged all of our tours for us and were always there to answer any questions. Some of the friendliest people we have met.

Due to quiet season, not many restaurants open around the property, but only a 5 minute tuktuk away so was not an issue.

Skvelé čisté ubytovanie v dobrej lokalite. Len 5 minút pešo od pláže Uppuveli. Výborné raňajky. Určite toto ubytovanie odporúčame. Hostiteľ bol milý a nápomocný.

Les hôtes sont très gentils et arrangeants pour nous rouver tuk tuk et aller visiter le Fort Frederick et ller à la plage Nilaveli. Terrasse qui donne sur un jardin permettant de prendre le petit déjeuner copieux au calme. Nous avions pris chambre sans clim. mais avec un ventilo....faisait un peu chaud mais supportable pour 2 nuits

The place is nice and near to the beach. Also the room has air conditioning, that is a life saver in the hot climate of Trincomalee. The staff is very kind and careful. I wanted to book a whalewatching tour, and the host contacted many service to arrange it. Unfortunately there was no tour available, but he tried his best to make me happy and i really appreciated that

Die Gastfreundschaft war etwas was man hervorheben muss. Auch wenn nebenan Bauarbeiten waren hatten wir das in Zimmer 4 nicht gemerkt. Das Frühstück war zudem sehr lecker.

Keine Klimaanlage, weswegen das Zimmer sehr stickig war. Besserer Mückenschutz wäre empfehlenswert.

Clean and comfortable. Close to the beach. 30 minute walk from the train station. 45 minute walk to the bus station. Neither was a problem. Building work ongoing at the moment, but didn't disturb too much. Overall a pleasant stay.

Nous avons eu la chambre AC mais avec le ventilateur et c'était parfait. Le lit est très confortable, la chambre est spacieuse, propre et il y a de l'eau chaude dans la douche. Les hôtes sont très gentils et arrangeants ! Les vélos gratuits sont un gros plus (pneu à regonfler souvent) et l'emplacement est par ailleurs très bien.

Chambre qui donne sur une terrasse avec un jardin en face.La chambre elle même est assez grande, mais la terrasse/ jardin augmentent la sensation d'espace et la tranquillité. Bon accueil

Tout était au top si bien que nous sommes restés 3 jours !!! L'emplacement est top les vélos prêtés nous ont permis d'aller au temples et voir les biches c'était génial les plages autour sont aussi génial car pas trop de vagues j'ai même nagé avec une tortue 🥰 bref vraiment top je vous conseille d'y aller les yeux fermés je suis sûr que vous serez pas déçu 😜 un petit plus au resto" bliss cabana" c'est le meilleur resto que j'ai fais depuis que je suis au sri lanka!!! В номере чисто, брал без кондиционера, вентилятор исправно работал, на малой скорости не шумел. Есть противомоскитная сетка. Вид на сад, есть терраса, территория аккуратная. Есть возможность заказать экскурсии, брал сноркелинг, понравилось. Рядом можно вкусно поесть, недалеко магазины, есть чайник.

Вечером и утром шумно, рядом дорога, но ночью было тихо.

Chambre fidèle à la description avec l’équipement nécessaire. Attention si vous craignez la chaleur, prenez bien une chambre avec climatisation et pas seulement ventilateur (pas suffisant pour tuer la chaleur + beaucoup de moustiques). La chambre avec climatisation était parfaite et les hôtes très gentils et aidants !

Απλά μεγάλα δωμάτια σε έναν όμορφο κήπο, πέντε λεπτά από την παραλία. Η τοποθεσία είναι πολύ καλή με εστιατόρια και σούπερ μάρκετ στα πενήντα μέτρα. Ο ιδιοκτήτης είναι ευγενικός και πολύ εξυπηρετικός. Η τιμή του δωματίου χαμηλή. Αξίζει από κάθε άποψη.

La familia de dueños fue encantadora. Siempre todos ellos atentos a que los huéspedes tuviéramos todo lo necesario y nos sintiéramos como en casa. Además no está en el centro de la zona turística (aunque muy cerca) por lo que puedes conocer la vida local.

The location is very convenient, the beach is really close and the garden in front of the stay is beautiful and we often ended up just chilling there. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom clean. And not to forget about the hosts. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Era molto sporca la camera, peli pubici e capelli già presenti al nostro arrivo.

Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hat wirklich alles getan, damit wir uns willkommen fühlen. Die Lage ist ruhig und ideal, um von dort Ausflüge zu starten. Außerdem war die Bettwäsche frisch und sauber vorbereitet.

Leider war die Unterkunft insgesamt nicht so gründlich gereinigt, wie wir es uns gewünscht hätten.

Abbiamo alloggiato in questa struttura 4 notti e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il proprietario e la sua famiglia sono stati accoglienti, e appena arrivati ci ha spiegato i maggiori punti di interesse della zona. È a due passi dalla spiaggia, in una zona più local di Uppuveli, ma a circa 10 minuti dalla zona turistica e “centrale”. Il giardino è un angolo di pace nonostante si trovi su una strada abbastanza trafficata. Consiglio!!

Estaba todo muy limpio, cerca del centro , en un sitio más tranquilo alejado del turismo. El propietario nos ayudo a contratar las actividades. Muy amable. El wifi funciona genial.
