Le personnel était agréable, hôtel très bien placé

Le prix de la nuit est beaucoup trop élevé pour ce que c’est, la propreté de la chambre était très limite (surtout la salle de bain)

Te weinig bedjes op het strand, kwaliteit van de bedjes was minder. Bedjes op het strand waren niet schoongemaakt.

Der erste Eindruck: Der Eingangsbereich und die Zufahrt zum Hotel wirken leider sehr lieblos. Als wir beim Check-in saßen, schauten wir uns an und dachten im ersten Moment an eine totale Fehlbuchung. Zum Glück hat sich das im Nachhinein absolut nicht bestätigt – das Hotel selbst kann ich definitiv empfehlen! ​Zimmer: Die Zimmer sind eher karg eingerichtet, aber sehr sauber und funktional. Es ist alles da, was man braucht: Klimaanlage, Föhn, Pflegeprodukte, Kühlschrank, Kaffee, Wasser usw. Ein paar praktische Details fehlen allerdings: Es gibt nur auf einer Bettseite eine Steckdose (die zweite ist am Tisch). Wer keine Mehrfachsteckdose dabei hat, kann nicht auf beiden Seiten gleichzeitig das Handy laden. Zudem fehlen Haken im Zimmer und im Bad. Es gibt nur einen Handtuchständer und einen schmalen Schrank mit Bügeln. Um unsere Sachen zwischendurch zu trocknen, mussten wir die Balkonstühle nutzen, auf denen wir dann logischerweise nicht mehr sitzen konnten. ​Anlage, Pool & Strand: Der Garten ist wunderschön und man merkt, wie viel Arbeit darin steckt. Er wird mühevoll gepflegt, täglich gegossen und bepflanzt. Der saubere Pool mit seinen alten Bäumen drumherum lädt absolut zum Entspannen ein (Handtücher und eine ordentliche Snackbar sind vorhanden). Praktisch ist auch der direkte Zugang zum Strand: Nach ca. 100 Metern ist man am Wasser und hat dort hoteleigene Liegen. ​Verpflegung: Das Frühstück fanden wir leider eher "semi". Meine klare Empfehlung: Bucht lieber ohne Frühstück! Direkt auf der Touristenstraße vor dem Hotel gibt es unzählige schöne Bars, Cafés und Restaurants. Dort findet man tolles Frühstück in jeder Preisklasse und bekommt auch richtig guten Kaffee oder Matcha. Aufgrund des Frühstücks haben wir das normale Hotelrestaurant abends gar nicht erst getestet, sondern direkt das Restaurant am Strand genutzt.

La salle du petit déjeuner et la salle du restaurant, peu chaleureuses et bruyantes à cause des chaises sur le carrelage. L’hôtel augmente ses prix au mois d’août (220 €/ nuit), ce qui ne correspond plus du tout au standing de l’hôtel, dommage. Je ne recommande donc pas cet hôtel en haute saison.

Bel hôtel avec piscine et à 40 (vrais) mètres de la plage. Par contre, un peu trop cher pour la qualité et le service plutôt moyen (1 seule serviette par personne, pas de tapis de sol).

Mettre plus de linge dans les chambres (au moins 2 serviettes) compte tenu du prix trop élevé pour le Sri Lanka correspondant plus à un hôtel 5* sans les prestations.

The staff was friendly. The breakfast is good. The location is close to other restaurants and the beach. The pool is also nice with good cocktails.

The pool was sometimes very crowdy with a lot of playing children.

Magnifique hôtel, les chambres sont grandes et confortables, chacune avec un petit extérieur ( terrasse ou balcon) Emplacement idéal à 2 pas de la plage. La piscine est superbe !

Das Personal war sehr bemüht. Wir konnten einmal aufgrund einer Tour das gebucht Frühstück nicht konsumieren. Auf Anfrage erhielten wir einen Snack als Ausgleich. Der Pool mit Poolbar lädt zum Verweilen ein.

Im Frühstücksraum ist es je nach Besucheranzahl etwas eng und laut. Einiges an der Anlage müsste überholt werden (zb Poolleiter, Toilette, Kasten, Lüftung). Da das Hotel anscheinend gern von Familien mit Kindern gebucht wird, kann es rund um den Pool bei Zeiten etwas lauter werden.

The pool was great and the proximity to the beach and local restaurants was very good

Unfortunately, this hotel didn’t live up to our expectations, especially considering the price. The rooms were very basic, the bathrooms were extremely small with no shelf space for personal items. There was a constant unpleasant smell coming from the shower, and the bathroom didn’t appear to be cleaned thoroughly. Even after the daily housekeeping, there was still soap scum left on the basin, which was disappointing. While the location may suit some travellers, we felt the overall experience didn’t justify the high price. There are likely better value options available with more comfortable facilities and attention to cleanliness.

The hotel and room was clean and neat! The staff was very friendly and polite, we felt very good taken care of. We can recommend Anantamaa Hotel for others. It is close to the beach but at the same time very calming atmosphere 👌

It’s a beautiful lush property with a nice pool and lot of greenery around. Direct access to the beach was super convenient. Rooms were adequate and the staff were unbelievably sweet and helpful!

Very nice hotel built round a lovelh garden and the pool. Short path to stunning beach with good cafes very near. Staff kind and helpful. Would put tables outside for dinner if requested. We were there late February, which is out of season, and the beach was very quiet.

De kamers zijn erg netjes en schoon. Het hotel maakt een erg verzorgde indruk. Het zwembad is heerlijk. Je loopt een smal paadje uit naast het hotel. Daarmee ben je gelijk op het strand. Personeel is heel behulpzaam.

‘s avonds kan je er lekker eten. Alleen duurde het erg lang voordat het eten kwam. Mijn vriendin en dochter hadden eten gekregen. Daarna moest ik nog 10 minuten wachten.

Mauvais rapport qualité prix Nous avions voulu que cela soit notre « kiff » de voyage en augmentant le budget mais quelle déception! Le personnel n’était pas très agréable ni sympathique (on nous demande de payer dès notre arrivée, on ne nous propose pas de porter nos sacs, on nous attribue une table partagée au petit déjeuner alors que des petits tables sont disponibles…etc) De plus les serviettes de piscine sont déchirées ou tachées … Les photos sont très datées Au vu du prix nous avons été très déçus du service

Room was clean and comfortable, although a little clinical A group of locals had a party pretty much overtaking the pool area one morning, we had to move to the beach mainly due to the music far too loud. As there were so few people staying at the hotel, perhaps this was understandable.. However, my request to lower the music volume was not met and, if we had been given prior notice, we could have changed our plans for that morning. Considering this was the most expensive hotel during our tour, this was disappointing.

Very pleasant hotel, with quick access to the beach and within 10 mins of walking to whatever you need. Beach is that close that we didn’t even bother to use swimming pool.

This was our last place two stay in Sri Lanka and by far the worst breakfast - we know that you can do better in Sri Lanka,

Kwaliteit van accommodatie is zeer laag. Kamers zijn erg verouderd en zijn armoedig ingericht. Prijs per nacht is veel te hoog voor wat je krijgt. Avondbuffet zag er slecht uit, weinig variatie. Je kunt beter naar het strand lopen en bij een van de restaurants daar eten. Ontbijt was niet bijzonder.

Excellent Hotel with a short path to the beach. The beach is lovely. The hotel swimming pool is so nice. We loved the neighborhood, A lot of restaurants, coffee shops and good vibration for tourists.

Чудовий персонал, зі всім допомагає, особливо запам'ятався бармен Bandare, шикарний чувак з чудовими коктейлями. Сніданки смачні, також при потребі запаковують ланч бокси. Прибирання номерів щодня

Wonderful beach and location, kind and helpful staff, we really loved our 3-day staying!

La posizione è molto buona. A pochi metri dalla spiaggia e anche dalla via dove si trovano molti ristorantini con buon cibo a prezzi contenuti.

L’aria condizionata era difettosa. Rimaneva accesa solo al massimo per cui era impossibile utilizzarla. Ho segnalato il problema alla reception ma non hanno fatto nulla. Hotel troppo caro per camere fatiscenti.

I paid £160 a night. I acknowledge it's peak season (August 2025), but given the way the hotel is presented I don't think it's value for money. Should be around £80 a night max.

L’établissement est très bien, la piscine, l’emplacement en bord de plage.

Pensez bien à utiliser le coffre. Notre valise a été visitée et on nous a pris un peu d’euros et de roupies (mais pas tout) qui étaient dans le fond de la valise.c’était pas cool mais c’est sans doute trop tentant !

Einfach toll – absolute Empfehlung! Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt im Anantamaa Hotel. Der Pool war herrlich, und der Mitarbeiter dort hat uns täglich den besten Eiskaffee gemacht – so aufmerksam und freundlich! Zimmerservice gibt’s hier auch, was in Sri Lanka echt besonders ist. Die Lage ist top, das gesamte Team war super herzlich. Wir waren rundum happy und können es wirklich sehr empfehlen!

The restaurant service was slow and quite a few things on the menu not available.

A very peaceful stay. We were almost the only people staying at one point. After reading some of the reviews I was a little worried but needn't have been. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff couldn't do enough to help. It doesn't have the slickness of a chain resort but for the price we paid we were very satisfied.

Great spot with a little luxury. Good to relax on the beach. Can recommend.

Тут достаточно дикое место. Мы приехали за китами. Для такого места отель вполне нормальный, заточен хоть как-то под европейский. Океан рядом, на океане есть хорошее кафе, самое ближнее направо. Лежаки бесплатно на пляже, при условии заказа из меню. Мы брали по напитку и все. За территорию отеля особо ходить не зачем, с учетом что там нет ничего, только можно съездить в местные храмы. Завтрак швецкий стол, ну конечно ни как мы привыкли, но не плохой. Ресторан на территории отеля, тоже с нормальной едой, единственное что надо официантам все говорить подробно и несколько раз, не очень они понимают. За ребенка, за завтрак, мы платили отдельно 8$(указали что 2 чел приедем при бронировании). Уборка так себе, не всегда меняли полотенца. Стаканы в баре бывало грязные. Так же много комаров, на улице не посидишь в темноте. И в номере нет фумигатора, берите с собой. Но мы спали с вентилятором и нормально.

Very friendly and helpful staff, we were almost the only guests and they cooked special Srilankan breakfast for us. Just a few steps to the beach.

The hotel and its location was right on the beach via a private pathway.. the tropical gardens and very large swimming pool with comfortable sunbeds were amazing. The staff were so helpfull and polite and the rooms really comfortable. Cant wait to return again soon.

An sich ist die Unterkunft sehr gut. Es gibt hier und da ein paar Verbesserungen die man angehen könnte. Beispielsweise das Frühstück war sehr mau.

Das Frühstück, Hoteleigener Strand ist eigentlich nicht vorhanden, es stehen zwar Liegen da, diese sind aber gestapelt und angekettet.

L’accès à la plage est très pratique, piscine très agréable également. L’hôtel est plus vieux que ce que l’on voit sur les photos, la chambre reste confortable et propre.

Gorgeous location. The pool area is beautiful. The staff were all incredibly helpful. Our room was spacious and clean.

Really overpriced (for the area) at £220 per night. It’s more expensive than a lot of hotels in the area and we expected more luxury than what the hotel offered. Basics could be improved on. Examples which spring to mind: our room smelling like drainage, the tea & coffee included in the morning breakfast was from a sachet, the wifi wasn’t very good, a cable box provided with the TV but with a plug that doesn’t fit the wall socket. When you’re paying a premium price and some of the basics aren’t there, it’s more disappointing.

Die Anlage war super schön und gepflegt, ebenso wie die Zimmer. Netter Service und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Der Strand ist schnell durch einen kleinen Durchgang zu erreichen.

Neben der Lage des Hotels ist das Personal unfassbar freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alle Wünsche wurden unmittelbar in die Tat umgesetzt. Das Hotel hat einen eigenen Zugang zum Strand und ist fußläufig nur knapp 4 Minuten von der Fernando‘s Beach Bar entfernt. Direkt am Strand ist es möglich Schnorcheltrips oder Dolphin Watching Touren zu buchen. Das Hotel bietet auch solche Touren an, aber sind etwas teurer. Vielleicht kann man etwas handeln😉. In die Stadt Trincomalee sind es etwa 15 Minuten mit dem Tuk Tuk. Unser Zimmer war großzügig und hatte einen schönen Balkon mit Blick auf den Pool. In der direkten Umgebung des Hotels gibt es einige kleine Restaurants.

Für Leute die ein ausgiebiges und üppiges Frühstück bevorzugen, die Information, dass das Frühstück recht schlicht gehalten ist, aber aus unserer Sicht völlig ausreichend und lecker war.
