Riad Green House

My stay in Green House Riad was really awesome! I arrived on early morning and they were so kind to give me room earlier and to serve me some breakfast after my long trip. I felt very welcomed. The staff Yassin and Mehdi were super nice and helpful with everything. Location is great, near everything you need. You will have beautiful view from the terrace while you have a breakfast. This place really made my first time in Morocco super memorable. When I come back to Fez I will stay here again for sure 💚

Our stay at Riad Green House was absolutely wonderful, and the main reason for that was the incredible hospitality of Mehdi and Yassin. From the very first moment we arrived at Fes, they made us feel like we were staying at a friend’s house rather than a Riad. They turned our visit to Fes into a truly personal experience. They were always available to help us. Mehdi and Yassin took the time to sit down with us, explain exactly what to see, where to go, and how to reach the different sights without getting lost. They genuinely cared about making our trip smooth and enjoyable. In fact, when I mentioned I had no internet connection, Mehdi accompanied me to buy a local SIM card to make sure I got the right one. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and always served with a big smile by Yassin. Without a doubt, Riad Green House is a place I would come back to a thousand times over. If you are looking for genuine warmth and a place that feels like home in Fes, this is it. Thank you, Mehdi and Yassin, for an unforgettable stay.

The Riad was wonderful, but the true highlight was the staff, especially Midi and Yasin. They were so kind and helpful with navigating Fes, buying items in the souk while avoiding scams, and great company in the hotel. Could not recommend Riad Green House enough.

We had a wonderful stay here. The location is unbeatable, situated at the entry point of the old town and only a few minutes' walk from the Blue Gate. Because it is so accessible, finding it was a breeze, and we had zero issues with taxi drop-offs and pick-ups. The Riad itself is beautiful, featuring very clean, spacious rooms. Breakfast was excellent every morning. What truly made our stay special was the lovely staff, who went above and beyond for us. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting!

ריאד ריטה מקום פשוט קסום! כשהגעתי ישר ישבתי עם בושרה (אחת הבעלים) לתה ועוגיות. האווירה הייתה שקטה ורגוע וכל המקום מקושת באומנות המסורתית של בעלה. דברנו על מה אני רוצה להספיק במקנס והיא נתנה לי כל מיני המלצות. היא אפילו הביאה אותי לחנות שמלות מדהימה לקנות שמלות לאחיות שלי. כל הריאד היה נקיא ונוח- מאוד אהבתי את הסבון/שמפו האיכותי שהיה בשרותים. הזוג היו כל כך נחמדים ורצו במיוחד שאני אכתוב את הביקורת בעברית כדי שעוד ישראלים ויהודים יבואו. אז בואו ותהנו בריאד הכי נחמד המקנס!

Mehdi è gentilissimo, ti viene incontro al parcheggio, ti porta le valigie, ti dà un sacco di informazioni sui posti da visitare, è sempre sorridente e scherzoso. Davvero difficile trovare di meglio. Il riad si trova in posizione centrale e a poche centinaia di metri dal parcheggio auto consigliato.

La colazione può essere migliorata in quantità e varietà. Il bagno avrebbe bisogno di una seria manutenzione

Bellissima struttura all’interno della medina, vicina alla porta blu, molto importante per organizzazione e punto di ritrovo. Lo staff è sicuramente un valore aggiunto: super disponibili e gentili, appassionati del loro lavoro e della loro città. Lo consigliamo assolutamente e auguriamo a tutti di incontrare persone così!

Great location close to Bab Boujloud along the main street so very easy to find and no chance to get lost in the medina! They were accommodating with a request for vegan and vegetarian breakfasts and provided very usual information and advice at check-in. Getting a large note split into smaller amounts when they had no change themselves was no problem for them either; it was ready waiting for me in the morning.

Not the fault of Riad Green House, but everything closed early as Morocco was playing in the World Cup. This was particularly unfortunate as our flight had been delayed 2h and we were leaving the next morning. It was great to be there to see the excitement of Morocco getting in to the quarter finals though!

Al nostro arrivo il personale ci ha accolto con entusiasmo offrendoci un the con biscotti. Ha addirittura coinvolto un loro amico che parlava perfettamente italiano per darci informazioni dettagliate sulla città. Colazione abbondante servita sulla terrazza del Riad. I ragazzi sono simpaticissimi, ci siamo divertite a giocare a carte con loro.

Beautiful riad and lovely rooms. Very attentive and friendly staff, who went out of their way to help you with everything, including getting our bus tickets. Delicious breakfast on the terrace.

This riad is a bit more expensive than some of the others in the medina, but I think it's worth it for what you get. The place is beautiful; the room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast was really good, and the location couldn't have been better. It's only a few minutes from the Blue Gate, which makes getting there much easier, especially if you're carrying luggage. Anyone who's walked through the Fes medina knows how many stairs and steep streets there are, so I really appreciated that. The staff was one of the highlights of my stay. When I arrived, they sat down with me and gave me tips about the city, places to visit, and areas to avoid. They were always happy to answer my questions or just have a quick chat. A special shoutout to Mohammed; we played a game of chess, and I won. 😄 Just leaving this here so there's permanent proof that he lost! They were also incredibly accommodating. One morning I showed up well after breakfast hours, and they still made sure I had something to eat. On another day, I had to leave very early for a trip, so they packed breakfast for me to take along. Overall, I had a really pleasant stay and felt well looked after. I'd definitely recommend this riad to anyone staying in Fes.

Lo recomiendo (y mi amiga también) a cualquier persona que vaya a Fez. Sin duda, para repetir. Las vistas de la terraza también bonitas. Mohammed helped us a lot with recommendations, taxis, and general questions. Riad is placed near the entrance of the medina which made it easy to get in and out of.

The property manager, Mehdi, and the staff made our stay in Fes amazing. Everyone was super helpful and kind, and by the end of our stay it felt like we were staying with friends. The room we stayed in was very clean and spacious, and blew strong cold a/c which was great since we stayed in June. Breakfast was plentiful and overall I feel like we had a great stay and would come back.

Mohamed, Mehdi and all the staffa make Riad Green House truly special. Warm, genuine hospitality throughout. They even help me with loundry with some tips. Everyone were so warm that one friday, Mehdi offered couscus lunch for me to share with the staff just because I told him I had not tried it and Friday is couscus day 😄 Mohamed's medina tips and story were invaluable for me navigating Fez Medina like a local, and understand more about Morroco culture and history ☺️ It is close to the Blue Gate — though first-timers arriving late may find the alleyways tricky. Message ahead so staff can meet you. Rooms are spacious, clean and exactly as pictured. Quiet throughout, with a minor water pump sound in the early morning — nothing bothersome. The rooftop, lounge and WiFi are all excellent for unwinding or working remotely.After 5 nights, it felt like home. Highly recommended!

Mohammed e Medina were amazing, they went above and beyond to help us. And the location is right on the middle of the Medina but still quite. I would def recommend this place.

The beds are a little bit hard for the Western style, maybe a mattress topper would solve the issue, plus blankets/duvet as the accommodation has air conditioner.

Our stay at Riad Green House was excellent from start to finish. The rooms were spacious, and comfortable. The location is also perfect. What we appreciated most, however, was the kindness, warmth, and hospitality of Mohammed. He was incredibly attentive throughout our stay, provided us with excellent recommendations, and always went out of his way to help. We highly recommend Riad Green House and would gladly return in the future.

素敵なリヤドでした。最初は入り口が見つけられず、少し戸惑いましたが、建物に入るとまるで別世界。部屋の中も上品な内装で気分良く過ごすことができました。そして何よりスタッフがとても親切でした。滞在中、見るべき場所を教えてもらいましたし、チェックアウトの後は荷物をブルーゲートまで運んでくれたうえ、タクシー運転手と値段の交渉までしてくれました。

エレベーターがなく、狭い階段を３階まで上がるのは少し大変でした。とはいえ、スタッフが荷物を部屋まで運んでくれたので大した問題ではありません。

L'emplacement est idéal pour ceux qui veulent séjourner au cœur de la Médina et bien placé pour prendre un taxi ou bus pour une excursion. Tout était impeccable pendant notre séjour au Riad. On y retournera sûrement si on retourne au Maroc un jour.

Ein wunderschönes Riad mitten in der Medina von Fes! Die Räumlichkeiten sind großzügig und im traditionellen Stil gehalten. Auf der Dachterrasse lässt sich mit spektakulärem Ausblick über Stadt und Umland frühstücken. Besonders überzeugt hat uns das durchwegs freundliche, zuvorkommende Personal. Obwohl unser Flug erst nachts und mit Verspätung ankam, wurden wir wärmstens mit Tee und Keksen empfangen. Weil wir nur zwei Tage in Fes waren, nahmen wir das Angebot einer Karte mit den schönsten Sehenswürdigkeiten dankbar an. Durch die ergänzenden Erklärungen und Empfehlungen haben wir keinen extra Guide gebraucht! Außerdem hat uns die Möglichkeit, über WhatsApp mit der Unterkunft zu kommunizieren, gegen Verirrungen in den Straßen der Medina abgesichert.

Delizioso Riad con terrazza panoramica a 260 mt dalla Bab Boujloud, il posto più bello di Fes per fare foto suggestive, e per perdersi subito nei colori e profumi della Medina più grande del mondo. Mohamed, alla reception, conosce veramente il valore dell'accoglienza, ragazzo splendido, sempre molto cordiale e sorridente, pronto a soddisfare qualsiasi necessità o domanda sul soggiorno. É rilassante bere un tè insieme, giocando a scacchi o chiaccherando semplicemente. Il manager del Riad é simpaticissimo e mi ha aiutato nell'acquisto di pentole di terracotta per il tajine, evitando quindi di perdere tempo prezioso, mi ha pure omaggiato di un cadeau di cui ho usufruito nella cena del Camp a Merzouga. Cosa importante: il parcheggio custodito, all'aperto, dista una manciata di minuti e ci sono sempre persone con carretti che ti portano il bagaglio al riad, è non é poco quando fa caldo. e si é stanchi per il viaggio. A beautiful Riad in an excellent location! Clean, quiet, with delicious breakfasts. But the absolute best part was the staff. The service was top-notch from day one, and they made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The guys at the reception created such a warm, family atmosphere 🙂

Der Innenhof des Riads ist wunderschön gestaltet und schafft eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Zimmer sind ordentlich und komfortabel. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft des Gastgebers Mohammad. Er war äußerst zuvorkommend, professionell und gleichzeitig angenehm locker im Umgang. Er nahm sich viel Zeit für uns, erklärte alles ausführlich und zeigte uns auf der Karte bzw. seinem Handy zahlreiche hilfreiche Tipps zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in Fes sowie Empfehlungen für unseren anschließenden Aufenthalt in Rabat. Das Frühstück war lecker.

The Riad Green House was totally exceptional. The inner courtyard was amazing, beautifully decorated in a typically traditional Moroccan style and some amazing old-fashioned black and white photos and other pictures that were fascinating. As I ate my breakfast each morning in the courtyard I had to stop myself taking photos or focussing on another picture that I hadn't previously noticed - I didn't want my coffee to get cold! My own room was also similarly decorated, and was comfortable, had a large bed and was clean. Unlike the two other riads I had stayed at in my journey previously, the TV worked and had various international languages - this was appreciated for a couple of hours one afternoon when I had succumbed to the outdoor heat. The air conditioning in my room worked perfectly. The rooftop view was exceptional with a view of (I think) the Marinid Tombs on the hill beyond. However the very best part of my stay was the staff. All the staff were kind but in the 3 nights I stayed Mohammed became a wise, kind and helpful friend. Not only did he help me to get to know Fes, offered me water when I stepped in from the heat, but best of all when we had the opportunity we put the world to rights together like old friends. He is an exceptional young man with a genuine heart of gold who made a big difference in helping my enjoy my time in Fes - thank you.

Wir sind in den letzten Jahren des öfteren in Fez gewesen und haben das Riad Greenhouse wegen seiner Top-Bewertung von 9,6 gewählt. Die Bewertung ist unangemessen. Die Freundlichkeit und Kommunikation mit dem Personal war sehr gut, aber offenkundig das Bemühen, Mängel und Unzulänglichkeiten dieses Riad zu kaschieren. Das Ambiente wenig einladend. Die Ausstattung ist durchschnittlich, nicht exzellent. Die Treppen mit Gepäck abenteuerlich. Die Zimmerausstattung zum Teil unpraktisch: keine Handtuchhalter am Waschbecken oder Haken im Bad, der einzige Schrank vollgestopft mit Wolldecken. Die Dachterrasse ist keineswegs spektakulär, dort vegetieren Pflanzen ohne erkennbare Pflege. Das Frühstück ist ordentlich und durchschnittlich, ohne Auswahl. Wirklich unpassend ist, dass Tag und Nacht gefühlt alle 10 Minuten eine Pumpe oder elektrische Winde für eine Weile läuft, was das Ein- und Weiterschlafen stört. Ganz überraschend war, dass beim Bezahlen eine Kreditkarte zunächst nicht akzeptiert wurde und man auf Barzahlung drängte. Wer mit 9.6 Punkten wirbt, sollte schon anders aufgestellt sein.

Nachtruhe gestört, Zimmer und Bad wenig praktisch. Das Frühstück eher durchschnittlich. Anspruchsvolle Treppen. Kreditkartenzahlung eher widerwillig angenommen. Trotz zentraler Lage und sehr nettem Personal nicht unbedingt wieder die erste Wahl.

Staff Clean Location Breakfast Mohamed, Mehdi, and all the young staff made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. They helped us book a private medina tour with Ismael, which we enjoyed so much. They offered us other tours, educated us about the history of the city. They have great sense of humor. Mohamed told us about some hidden gems in the medina. He will be a great guide one day. They recommended great restaurants. They booked our transfer to chefchaouen, they helped booking a porter for our 5 bags. They are extremely kind.

The bathrooms were very clean but need updates. The staff mentioned that they are planning to work on in the next closure. Also, to change the pillows.

Nice riad, perfect location and great food. Although the best about this riad is the people running it, everyone was amazing, with a smile and very helpful for everything we needed. Really words are not enough to describe the kindness of the people. Afaik riads used to be homes for families and I think I got that feeling in this one.

L’accueil fait vraiment toute la différence, Mehdi et Mohammed ont vraiment été superbes! Avenants, souriants, toujours disponibles et soucieux que tout se passe bien. Mohammed nous a installé une application pour nous repérer dans la médina (sans ça nous aurions été complètement perdues tellement c’est dense), nous a donné plein de tips et les points à visiter. Toujours aux petits soins, merci à eux pour tout!! La cuisine est très bonne, le petit déjeuner aussi, la wifi fonctionne très bien, le Riad est joli, propre, bien situé en plein cœur de la médina mais pour autant très calme. Je recommande vraiment ce Riad.

S’il faut vraiment trouver des points d’amélioration: le restaurant (uniquement le soir) peut-être un peu cher, éventuellement changer les tapis de la chambre et de la salle de bain pour plus d’hygiène et de confort (globalement assez sobre mais très convenable)

Il Riad e splendido, molto comodo per visitare, e vicino ai parcheggi dei taxi e in poco tempo arrivi a visitare da per tutto. Lo staff, specialmente Mohammed e veramente molto cortese, ci ha spiegato in ogni dettaglio la città, ha organizzato il tour che abbiamo chiesto e la sua gentilezza ci e rimasta nel cuore. Noi che giriamo il mondo non abbiamo mai incontrato una persona così simpatico, dolce, che sa fare veramente il suo lavoro.

Het verblijf was in 1 woord: fantastisch. Top locatie, super vriendelijke gastheer en personeel, met speciale vermelding voor Mohamed. Hij is een jonge gast die ons wegwijs heeft gemaakt in het doolhof van de Medina. Via een app werden de niet te missen hotspots door hem aangeduid, die zeker de moeite waren en makkelijk te vinden. Indien we toch verloren zouden lopen of iets nodig hadden konden we hem steeds opbellen. Ook toen we midden in de nacht toekwamen begeleidde hij ons persoonlijk van de parking waar de taxi op ons afzette tot aan de Riad. Topkerel! De Riad was zeer goed gelegen, dicht bij de Blauwe Poort, een zeer veilige buurt. Alles was netjes en de kamer werd dagelijks gepoetst. Het ontbijt was lekker, wel jammer dat het elke dag hetzelfde was. Maar als je er maar een paar nachten logeert, vonden wij dit niet zo erg. Als je een Riad zoekt, op een veilige plaats in de Medina met super personeel; niet twijfelen.

La amabilidad del personal, sobre todo de Mohamed. Desde que llegamos nos acompañó en todo momento. Nos prepararon un take away de desayuno, nos acompañó portando las mochilas hasta el Transfer que nos llevaba a Chaouen. Servicio,amabilidad y cariño inmejorable.como si estuviéramos en casa..

Mohammed was an exceptional host - truly a gem. He took so much time to share his knowledge of Fes and recommend the best places to visit. He even called the tour company we had booked with to confirm all the details. When we had to leave very early in the morning, he went above and beyond by preparing a packed breakfast for us and taking us all the way to the pickup spot to make sure we found it without any issues. His kindness, generosity, and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better host!

Placeringen er virkelig god, og personalet er super imødekommende. Meget hjælpsomme og søde. Værelserne var fine, og omgivelserne var rigtig flotte. Det var kun muligt og betale i kontant, som var det eneste minus for os.

El edificio era espectacular, con una decoración increible en el mejor sitio de la Medina. La habitación era cómoda y acogedora y estaba muy limpia. Además, el servicio y el personal fue muy amable, especialmente Mohammad y el chico de los desayunos. Mohammad es increíblemente atento y servicial; te ayuda en todo y te recomienda muchos sitios interesantes para visitar o comer. El desayuno era abundante y correcto, con zumo, té, café, leche, dulces, huevos, fruta, yogurt. Además, te ofrecen constantemente té y siempre tienen detalles e invitan a algo en las comidas. Ofrecen también comidas y cenas de platos locales y hechos de manera casera. Todo muy recomendable.

這家raid是我這趟摩洛哥之旅最棒的住宿，地點方便，環境整潔乾淨又美麗，房間也非常乾淨、舒適又明亮。接待我們的Mohammed熱情又細心，我們抵達藍門時就等在那裡協助我們帶著行李來到raid，為我們詳細介紹古城的建議旅遊路線以及所有需要注意的細節，真的超級感謝！還有協助安排料理體驗真的超級棒！晚餐料理他為我們推薦的每一道都非常好吃，我跟先生都非常喜歡！離開非斯那天因為要搭很早的巴士，Mohammed還幫忙打包了早餐讓我們在路上享用。在細心接待下，真的有賓至如歸的感受，被滿滿的熱情氛圍包圍。如果要到訪非斯，非常推薦這家raid，絕對是最佳選擇。若有機會回訪非斯，這家絕對會是我回訪清單。

Everything is perfect

El trato del personal fue genial. Teniamosnque coger un taxi muy temprano e incluso se ofrecieron a acompañarnos por si teniamos algun problema. En todo momento muy antentos y muy amables. El Riad es precioso y la habitacion muy limpia y grande.

La gentilezza è disponibilità dello staff, sempre presente e sorridente. La pulizia e la grandezza della camera.

La cena consisteva in un menù un po' scarso, con pochi piatti e porzioni piccole per il prezzo, 1 piatto non corrispondeva a quello menzionato sul menù scelto. Il cibo era comunque buono e ben cucinato.

The hospitality was beyond expectations. Very informative, attentive and accommodating staff. Very warm welcome. Location is very central, close to a lot nice restaurants and rooftop bars. Very colourful and authentic Riad

Shower basin was accumulating water, so by the time you finished showering, feet were soaked in dirty water

Situado en el interior de la Medina evidentemente con mal acceso en vehículo, no se puede acceder nada más que andando y por tanto el transporte del equipaje se hace complicado.

Great staff— extremely knowledgeable and pleasant! Feels like you are welcomed into a home!

The staff were really outstanding and so so helpful, from helping with bags to local knowledge and advice. Particular shout out to Mehdi who introduced us to a map App that didn't need a mobile signal or wifi. Without that I think we would have got very lost! The building was also impressive, and steeped in history.

L'équipe du Riad Green House a été adorable, un grand merci à Mehdi pour sa gentillesse et ses bons conseils! Le petit déjeuner est copieux et servi en terrasse ce qui en a fait un moment privilégié. Les chambres sont très tres confortables et tout est nickel, rien a redire sur la propreté, c'était impeccable ! Et finalement la localisation est top parce qu'une fois sortie du riad, on est sur une des rues principales de la medina de Fes avec tout à proximité ! J'y retournerai avec grand plaisir!

Riad au top, chaleureux, propre, personnel aux petits oignons. Petit-déjeuner impeccable sur la terrasse. On recommande les yeux fermés !

L'emplacement du riad est idéal pour visiter la médina de Fès. L'architecture est typique, ma chambre spacieuse et le lit confortable. Le personnel était charmant et Medhi toujours souriant et disponible pour nous.

Le tapis de la salle de bain serait à mon sens à remplacer par un tapis en tissu ou en coton, lavable,plus hygiénique. Le lavabo était bouché mais a été réparé rapidement.

Très bien placé au cœur de la cité. Un personnel très attentionné.

PAs de sujet en particulier, s’il fallait dire quelque chose, c’est un besoin relooking de l’espace petit déjeuner.

The staff are simply exceptional, they are the best we encountered across 8 Moroccan cities. Mehdi went above and beyond from the very first moment, waiting at the bus station at 4am when we arrived on the overnight bus from Merzouga. We were given a room immediately to rest while our booked room was prepared. The next morning, Mehdi and his colleague sat with us, provided a detailed map and personally recommended every must-see in Fez. We explored the entire city confidently without a single paid tour guide. They made us feel completely safe, welcome and at home. The riad itself is beautiful with a stunning tiled courtyard, ornate painted ceilings, carved wooden furnishings and a gorgeous rooftop terrace. Rooms are charming and breakfast is excellent. Perfectly located inside the Medina with Al Attarine Madrasa, Al Qarawiyyin University, Bab Bou Jeloud and the Chouara Tannery are all within easy walking distance. Mehdi and his team made Fez magical. Highly recommended.
