Notre chambre était d’une propreté irréprochable et disposait de tout le nécessaire pour passer un excellent séjour. Mention spéciale pour le lit, immense, moelleux et incroyablement confortable : nous y avons tellement bien dormi ! Le petit déjeuner est excellent : complet, équilibré et très savoureux. Nous nous sommes régalés! La guest house est également très bien située, à proximité de Kloof Street . Et surtout, un accueil formidable ! Nous avons été reçus avec beaucoup de chaleur et de gentillesse. Un grand merci pour cette belle hospitalité. Et petite attention qui nous a particulièrement touchés : le petit drapeau français avait même été hissé pour nous à notre arrivée. 🇫🇷😊 Une délicate attention qui résume parfaitement l’esprit de Tintagel : chaleureux, attentionné et plein de charme. Nous avons adoré notre séjour.

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026Only 700m from Company's Garden in the heart of Capetown, this is an elegant and genteel B&B guest house, beautifully renovated and expansive, with attractive garden spaces too. It's also a short walk from a multitude of eateries on Kloof St, so it's a fabulous location. The staff were very helpful and available from early until well into the evening, gave us pertinent information to get us going, and we had some lovely chats. Rooms are well appointed, clean, quiet and comfortable.
No complaints (maybe GF breakfast cereal option?)

Es gibt wunderschöne Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien, und trotz der zentralen Lage ist Tintagel eine Insel der Ruhe und Gelassenheit. Super sauber, tolle Matratzen. Man fühlt sich sofort, besonderen Dank an Utah und das gesamte Team, willkommen, wohl und zu Hause. Es wurden Tipps gegeben, nette Gespräche geführt. Tolle Gastgeber.
Es gab nichts auszusetzen!

The guesthouse itself is beautiful and styled with so much love and attention to detail. Everyone was wonderfully kind and welcoming, always ready with great tips and recommendations to help us get the most out of Cape Town!

Niente in particolare. Le stanze erano molto umide ma purtroppo in inverno in una casa d’epoca non ci si può fare molto. Ad ogni modo la pompa di calore funzionava bene.

We really enjoyed Tintagel and didn’t miss anything. Of course its a boutique hotel, so if you require a large Spa area or 24/7 concierge, a more corporate hotel would be better.

Reviewed May 24, 2026Die zentrale Lage - ich hätte erwartet, dass es verkehrstechnisch durch die Lage laut sein wurde, war es aber gar nicht! Das Zimmer war großzügig, die Einrichtung toll - klassisch und würdevoll mit Antiquitäten. Das Frühstück war exzellent! 🤩😊
Lediglich auf die Kunstblumen würde ich als Inhaber/Gastgeber verzichten! Ich habe Verständnis für die Tatsache das frische Blumen nicht immer und überall möglich sind Kosten technisch aber bitte aus umweltfreundlicher Sicht dann z.B. auf einfaches Grün oder Blattwerk aus dem Garten zurückgreifen aber bitte nichts künstliches vom Material her - das kann die Welt wirklich nicht gebrauchen. Fand es etwas schade das ich nicht alle Rollos a den Fenstern hochfahren könnte um den Blick auf die tollen Innenhöfe frei zu machen - das hätte mir gefallen…

Loved the sherry in the decanter in room, the size of room, the gardens, the superb breakfast, the decoration and dining room and all that. The silver ware and decorations were lovely. I could see court yard gardens from bedroom.
Well…. There is an edgy ness to CT. The most beautiful city in the world but spoiled by …. Well … you know who. The guest house has few faults - it has no TV …. But to be honest who watches the bollox on TV nowadays - usual woke DEI trash that just depresses a “normal man”. It has internet to access YouTube on you phone and you can watch Mastwr and Commander and Bob and Paul go Fishing - who wants more than that. Few complaints

Reviewed May 6, 2026The property is a very charming old house that is transformed into 9 rooms. It is absolutely ticking all the boxes of everything we need and like of an accomodation. The location is perfect and safe, close to supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. To go into the Waterfront is a few mins drive as well to some other destinations - excellent location! I am not a hotel breakfast person as I never know where everything comes from and most of the time its about quality rather than quantity… but here, we got all the basics of a great breakfast and we also know where the food came from - excellent!! Everyone was very friendly and helpful 🥹 thank you for making our short Cape Town getaway a memorable one!

Reviewed Apr 15, 2026Wunderbares Gästehaus! Es fühlt sich an wie eine Zeitreise: wunderschöne alte Möbel, alles stilvoll eingerichtet tolle, zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter. Leckeres Frühstück mit Joghurt, Obst, Käse, Hausbrot und frisch zubereiteten Eierspeisen und sehr gutem Kaffee. Sicheres Parken im Innenhof.
Nun, die Lage ist nicht ideal. Zwischen zwei größeren Straßen gelegen, kann es etwas lauter sein, speziell am frühen morgen oder Feierabendverkehr.

The staff was incredibly helpful – a special shout out to Utah for being attentive, kind, helpful, all with a great sense of humor. The property is beautiful with so much flora throughout its many outdoor spaces, historic furnishings, and a very well equipped room. I really can’t recommend this place enough!

Und das Gebäude, die Einrichtung, die Ausstattung, der schattige Garten mit üppiger Bepflanzung und plätschernden Brunnen waren in jeder Hinsicht besonders. Wir hatten die Zimmer leider nur für eine Nacht vor unserer Heimreise gebucht. Beim nächsten Mal bleiben wir auf jeden Fall länger!

I did not appreciate that the parking bay my driver was using was allocated to another guest. When he returned to the hotel after a long night of work, he had to wait approximately 20 minutes in the early hours of the morning for someone to open the gate to the neighbouring property so that he could park. This was both inconvenient and unnecessary, especially given the time of night.

Reviewed Feb 9, 2026Well appointed authentic Cape Victorian style establishment in the heart of Cape Town and close to its active and lively Kloof Street hub. Discerning guests would appreciate the characterful establishment. Safe off street parking was available and I really enjoyed the good linen and comfortable bed in a comfortable bedroom. Double glazing windows kept any road noise to a bare minimum. The manager/owner excelled in making the check in personal and easy. He was insistent about security and willing to assist with whatever I needed. I unfortunately had to leave very early and skipped breakfast so no review on that. It is certainly worth a visit and I will definitely return if and when a visit to Cape Town is required
As a solo guest I missed a TV in the room The windows only had sun filter curtains and the street lighting was a nuisance at night - block out curtains would be nice. Minor issues with the shower head and some loose tiles/ grouting would require looking into A bar fridge for cold water could also make things somewhat more comfortable.

I loved absolutely everything but I wish they had tvs in the room. However, I understand why they don’t, and it was kinda nice to disconnect

Reviewed Jan 20, 2026All of it. Warm and hospitable host. Organised trips for us. Made us feel at ease and at home as guests rather than clients. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful spacious room with Bea antique furniture throughout the house. Excellent breakfast, especially the bacon! Utah (apologies if we’ve misspelt this), was a a delight. We will recommend to all
