Beim nächsten Mal bleiben wir nicht nur eine Nacht. Zitronenhain hinterm Haus, selbstgemachte Zitronenmarmelade sehr sehr lecker. Danke für alles !!!

Die Lage gibt nicht allzuviel her. Vielleicht haben wir etwas übersehen, aber der Ort Swellendam hat uns nicht so gut gefallen.

Reviewed Mar 25, 2026Chere and Calvin are fantastic hosts from our welcome, check in, breakfast until we left. Very spacious rooms and bathrooms, and extremely comfy beds. There is a very nice patio to sit on for a drink (honesty bar) n the evening before going out for dinner. Chere suggested a fabulous restaurant called Christelles for the most incredible dinner! Thank you for a wonderful stay - we loved it and we will be back.
There is nothing to dislike!

Tolle Zimmer, weitläufige und top gepflegte Gärten, Pool, sehr leckeres selbst gemachtes Frühstück, klasse Service (sehr große Auswahl an Bier, Wein, Getränken), super freundliche Gastgeber. Sehr empfehlenswert, wir würden sofort wiederkommen!

Reviewed Mar 6, 2026Very nice stay for 2 nights on arrival into South Africa, only 2 1/2 hours from Cape Town. The room was comfortable with robes and slippers and staff were very friendly. Good choice at breakfast and the cooked breakfast is very well cooked and served in a conservatory overlooking the garden. Good pizzeria next door serving excellent food, best pizza and pasta of our trip.
Need to drive to go to other restaurants as it's located at the far end of town. Sadly we had couples with babies take over the pool and garden during our stay so it wasn't as peaceful as we had hoped for, especially given the rooms overlook the pool so it was hard to escape the noise.

Reviewed Feb 9, 2026Grote kamer met hoge plafonds, prachtige badkamer, groot bed. Uitstekend ontbijt. Fijn zwembad met zonneterras. Mooie gemeenschappelijke ruimtes. Vriendelijk personeel, communiceert via WhatsApp, super handig. Heeft een restaurant voor ons gereserveerd.
Geen zitje op je eigen terras. Vlakbij de N2, zware trucks zijn goed hoorbaar.

The room was large and tastefully decorated and had a wonderful view of the large garden and lovely pool. Breakfast was served in a beautiful building and was delicious. Es ist nach wie vor eine sehr gepflegte und saubere Unterkunft mit einem wunderbaren Pool und einem leckeren Frühstück (Schwarzbrot, Brötchen, Toast, Croissant, Joghurt mit frischem Obstsalat, frisch gepresstem Orangensaft und Eiern/Omlette in jeglicher Form, Wurst, Schinken und Käse). Die Gastgeber kümmern sich um Alles, geben Tipps und sind stets bemüht, den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm zu machen. Wir haben uns wieder sehr wohl gefühlt.

Man merkt den Gastgebern an, dass sie sich hohe Qualitätsansprüche gestellt haben und einen leicht französischen Stil auf südafrikanische Art und Weise integriert haben. Das gilt für das Frühstück wie für die Inneneinrichtung der Zimmer. Immer wieder gerne und sehr zu empfehlen.

Beautiful setting, immaculate rooms with fantastic facilities, fabulous pool area. Hosts Chere & Calvin were super friendly. Chere recommended & booked local restaurants & a taxi for us. Breakfast was outstanding, a great selection of hot & cold was on offer. 5⭐️ establishment at 4⭐️ price. Thank you Calvin & Chere, perfect hospitality 🙏

Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, geräumig und sehr sauber. Die Anlage hat einen sehr schönen Garten und einen gepflegten Pool.

Wir hatten das Zimmer in Orange und haben uns in noch keiner Location in Südafrika so wohl gefühlt wie hier. Hochwertiges, liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück. Ausgesuchtes Interieur.
Lediglich die hinter dem Anwesen verlaufende stärker befahrene Straße ist geringfügig zu laut. Wir haben aber trotzdem jede Nacht sehr gut geschlafen.

We really liked the view from our room overlooking the garden and the pool. The owners have an eye for detail—even down to leaving treats on the pillows at night after we returned from dinner. They even placed an umbrella outside the door on the morning we had a little rain, ensuring we wouldn’t get wet on our way to breakfast. We had some dietary requirements that we communicated before arrival, and a special effort was made to accommodate them, which I really appreciate. We enjoyed our stay.
