Loved my whole experince
Loved everything
Location was great,breakfast was amazing
Nothing
Great size rooms with comfortable beds and an awesome breakfast! Excellent value for money
Liked everything
Lovely staff. Breakfast included in the stay. Great value for money
I can’t really complain, but probably make it clearer on other sites (e.g. booking.com) that you have to collect keys from reception of hotel instead of in the Old Post Office accommodation.
Great location & value
Nothing
Breakfast was very nice, very clean guest house spotlees
No kettle in bedroom to make tea,and there was tea bags milk
Very clean, quite and convenient
Nothing
Great accommodation in the centre of the village. Stayed here once before, I think, in room no. 5 and the room was really big and comfortable. This time, we were in room no 4 considerably smaller but still a beautiful room and lovely ensuite facilities. Would definitely stay again. Beautiful breakfast served across road in hotel restaurant 10 out of 10 for this.
We arrived for breakfast at 10:32am and were turned away as "last orders were 10:30am". Not only was the kitchen closed for orders, all breakfast items were cleared from the restaurant at this point. We weren't even offered as much as a cup of coffee. We felt this was quite unfair as we had paid for breakfast and had to travel across the street from our accommodation to the hotel.
I was relocated to the Coach House part of the group excellent quality
Centre of town and quiet
Bedroom small but clean and comfortable and towels and soap good quality
Lovely comfortable room. Very clean. They've added an extra pane on the window which helps with the traffic noise. Breakfast was great. Lovely staff. Would definitely recommend it.
Nothing really except I had difficulty with the shower temperature. It was a little cold. But since the weather was warm it didn't bother me much.
It was perfect for what we wanted ,it's small cute and very clean .was lovely having breakfast in the hotel and it was amazing, love seeing chefs wearing gloves.breakfast was very good 👍
Everything was great
The location in the village
The furnishings were more on the side of shabby, rather than the presumed shabby chic intention. The breakfast was poor with the buffet being particularly bad. If the standard is not going to be be good, just don't bother with a buffet. Cordial drinks....yuck. The staff seemed annoyed by my presence at dinner and rushed me out. There was a group of high teenagers floating around the restaurant that made all the diners uncomfortable
Location
Hard to confirm my reservation once I arrived. It wasn’t in the Old Post Office, instead, it was across the road in Conyhgam Road. I had to ask to see list and I was able to find my name!
Great room and breakfast
That the key needed collected from the hotel. I can’t recall if the booking made this clear
Location central to food and bars
Clean and comfortable Oh unfortunately, doors need to have soft, quiet closing as they slam when people close the doors very noisy in the hallways
Hôtel comfortable dans une petite ville régionale.
Everything the people are absolutely amazing very friendly I will go out of there way to help you.
The breakfast in the hotel (across the road) was excellent. Location was wonderful 20 mins from Drogheda and 20 mins from Navan The old post house was very clean and very comfortable. I had room 7 and it was loveley to look out on to the main street
The front door of the old Post house needs to be repaired. You have to slam the door closed , extrmely loud. I was woken very early in the morning with people leaving and having to slam the door and the same at night time people coming in late and slaming the door closed. Also in Room 7 no chair or table to work on and no table to leave toiletries /makeup on
Great location and facilities
Stanza curata, bagno nuovo e pulito, arredo ben tenuto e letto comodo.
easy to find fab locations lovely comfy bed unreal breakfast
the room was at frond of house and should have a net curtain
All Staff were lovely, room was airy and spotless. Great breakfast, we stayed 2 nights.
Nothing to dislike really. It was on a busy road but windows were double proofed and as a slight sleeper myself it didn’t affect me.
Location, cleanliness, Breakfast, Dinner.
Traffic noise in the early morning
excellent location - Fantastic breakfast would definitely recommend
Room was on small side The smell in the bathroom was overwhelming- stomach turning , enough that prompted me to call reception where a lovely worker explained there had been an issue with irish water - she came over and sorted it out while we were at our event and no smell was in place on return
Lovely room. Very clean. Ideal location
Ideal village location. Clean, charming building, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast in the sister hotel property.
More secure parking would have been better but I guess that’s just the way it has to be with a town centre location.
We had to check in across the street at another hotel, parking not handy. Only place to eat was where we had to check in at. Receptionist not helpful
See above
Location is good. Staff were very helpful.
Tha mattress on my bed in room6 was terrible. Serious dip on one side. Cob web in on-suite, Spare toilet rolls left on floor in wicker basket directly under toilet.
Just love this beautiful place - Slane is so friendly.
Nothing!
Loved location
Stayed in the main hotel previously...would be my preference ..
Beautifully decorated bedroom and entrance hallway. Centrally located in the village and to the main hotel. Friendly staff, very welcoming.
While only a very minor issue, the blind in the bedroom wouldn't close fully, which meant it was a little bright early in the morning if a light sleeper.
Up to date decor
Emergancy light in room was on all night. Did not really stop me getting sleep but I imagine it very much would for others
Quaint, warm, lively big bathrooms, very comfortable.
Friendly staff. Pleasant decor in room.Loved the toiletries.
Very pleasant Lovely staff Clean and comfortable. Really good breakfast Best seafood chowder
great food at the restuarant across the road
Close to a very busy road intersection and traffic lights with breakfast served across the road. A good cooked breakfast with plenty of choice.
We arrived on Sunday and were surprised how busy the road was . Crossing to the hotel had to be done with great care.! Be aware that Slane is quite hilly.
I had been upgraded and stayed in the coach house across the road from the hotel .The room was lovely as were the gardens. Very good breakfast.
Only criticism : very small vanity basin.
Clean comfortable rooms with all the usual amenities.
Heavy traffic uses Main Street in front of accommodation.
Floors were not clean.
Checkin was at s different property, and there were no notices at this property to advise this - I had to make a phone call.
Large bedroom, in converted post office building opposite hotel, quiet room at back of premises
Our room didn’t have a view but otherwise fine
Staff were exceptionally good, & the food was amazing. Location was perfect for us. It was a lovely place with old world charm. Overall a great atmosphere. We would definitely stay again.
The carpet was grubby, a bit od DIY needed in the room, the door handel was loose no toilet roll holder the windows were dirty. We weren't told at the time of booking that breakfast was in another property across the road.
Outstanding property and location with exceptional staff service especially from Sinead in reception.

Staff were lovely and breakfast was nice
Extremely craving ed and other guests were shouting at 3 in the morning.
The area was good.Room and stay was good
Shower leaked on to bathroom floor every time
We actually stayed in the main hotel, the Conyngham Arms, as I was informed on check in that we'd been moved there. Happy with that as we didn't then have to cross the street in the rain for meals. Lovely rooms, well appointed. Excellent, homemade breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff.
Glowing green light above the bedroom door. Clearly meant to mark the exit in case of an emergency but completely over the top and annoying at night. Not encountered this in a hotel bedroom before.
We liked the location and the overall experience. We would stay here again without hesitation.
Worst French toast ever: greasy, burnt, and soggy from fruit compote and syrup. the compote and syrup should be served WITH the meal, not ON it. It is beyond me how anyone can mess up a basic dish. We were catching a flight and didn't have time to reorder.
The room was of a very nice hotel standard for the price, and we had a perfect stay for the night. Having the window to the back helped with noise from the street. Nice big shower for the room size, with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included from the hotel across the street (check-in is in the same place) and it was an excellent one. The staff at the hotel were very polite and very helpful. Location smack in town is excellent.
Can't fault much, the Mattress was a tiny bit hard for me, but then we all like different ones and it was of good quality.
Quiet and comfortable
It needs some tlc - carpet was badly stained and shower was very slow to drain
Nothing
Rooms was uncomfortable small. Main Room/ Bathroom multiple holes in wall facilties in bathroom hanging off the wall - TV and Iron were faulty. Poor location if not driving. Breakfast poor with tables being steadied with napkins and room full of flies - more of a budget hotel not worth the £140 charged
Place was convenient to sites we were visiting in the area (Bru na Boinne, Trim, Tara). Room and Property were very nice. Dinner and breakfast were very good in the dining room (Conyngham Arms). Thank you
Much road noise at times. Situated on a very busy road. That said, would stay here again.
Breakfast was great. Room was comfy
It was a bit warm in the room, could have used a fan but overall, great
