The staff is very friendly and helps you with everything, the location is great and the breakfast that is included is huge and you can order almost everything and they accept every special request! The rooms were big and the location cozy!

The rooms could be a little newer; they should seal up some gaps and such so that not so many insects get in. The faucet and showerhead could be replaced, for example, and some areas could be cleaned more thoroughly—like the top of the canopy bed. Or in places where there are still spider webs or gecko droppings. The laundry service was good, but the clothes were slightly sticky or greasy in places and had a few stains. The same went for the bed linens; I suspect they’re using a strange detergent or too much of it.

The staff were definitely the highlight of our stay. They were extremely friendly, accommodating and genuinely did the best they could despite the condition of the property. We especially appreciated how helpful they were with our luggage, considering there is no lift and several flights of stairs. Breakfast was also very good, with a generous spread and delicious food.

Unfortunately, the property itself was extremely disappointing and looked nothing like the photos advertised online. It felt very misleading. The hotel was still under construction during our stay, and there was no lift, meaning we had to climb three to four flights of stairs to reach our room. The rooms felt run-down, the bathroom locks did not work, and we experienced multiple power outages and water issues. The advertised “garden view” was also not what we expected based on the listing. The property felt particularly unsafe and unsuitable for young children, elderly guests or anyone with mobility difficulties. While the staff helped with luggage, it was upsetting to see them having to work under these conditions. Dinner was disappointing, although breakfast was very good.

Las habitaciones estaban muy limpias, eran cómodas y olían muy bien. Tenían todo lo necesario. La piscina estaba vacía la mayor parte del tiempo y la teníamos para nosotros solos. La calidad del restaurante y el personal fue muy buena. De los mejores hoteles que hemos pisado en Sri Lanka.

Tuvieron un detalle con nuestro aniversario de boda. Personal amable, habitación y baño enormes y una ubicación céntrica pero sin estar en la calle principal. El desayuno es una barbaridad!!! Tienen un muy buen restaurante, zona de billar y una piscina con vistas al adam's peak.

This hotel is literally perfect. Very comfortable, great location and amenities. Their breakfast is super complete and tasty. The hotel is perfect to chill after a hike.

We had a terrible experience at this hotel, the pictures are not reflective of the hotel. The hotel is in very poor condition, it is extremely over priced given this. I felt that we were conned by this place, it can only be described as faulty towers. Just a couple of notes the hotel is very worn, generally felt unclean (though i do feel the cleaning staff tried their best), building was not fot for purpose and the stairs are falsely advertised- they are dangerous. On arrival we were put on the top floor and as we arrived it started raining, as soon as the rain came the room was flooding from the walls, ans the floor covered with water. We thought we'd give it a chance but as the rain continued the floor was soaked with puddles and electricity kept cutting off as a result. We had read a review about this being an issue, but we went to reception to request a room change and the manager pretended he did not know about the flooding issue. Initially he refused to move us rooms and said itwas fully booked until we stated if they did not we would all be leaving and need a refund (we paid £314 for 2 nights- 2 rooms). He then ran off, when he came back they had magically found another room, proving they had lied about the above. He then stated they did not know this has not happened before to which i showed them the review woth evidence it was a common issue. We were moved to the suite which we didnt realise at the time, i would not recommend staying in this room either is was damp and mould in the bathroom, very poorly kept. On leaving the mabager said he would have a better room tomorrow and ran off- we didnt think much of this having not realised it was a suite. On our second day, we went out early and the woman who worked on reception approached me and said room change, I said to her we did not wish to move again as we had one night left so it didnt feel worth moving all of our belongings again she said okay.

Breakfast was good and location was very good. Room was ok but you have climb stairs to reach the room. Facilities were nice but feels like the price was bit stiff. You can see the Ella rock from the room.

The stuff was absolutely perfect!! Nice, flexible, hulpfull. The rooms are relatively large. Very good breakfast and even prepared things, especially for our request. Location in the middle between the two busy areas, so it is quiet and close to the busy areas. Wonderfull ella rock view , nice areas to hang out outside the rooms. Very good value for money

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The service was excellent, and everything was well maintained. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful views made the experience even more special. Overall, a lovely place to stay if you’re visiting Ella. Highly recommended! ❤️

L’emplacement dans Ella est idéal. Nous avons pu louer un scooter, ce qui nous a facilité nos déplacements. La chambre est confortable et propre.

Il y’a énormément de marches pour arriver à la chambre ce qui peut être un peu compliqué. Et l’isolation n’est pas très bonne, nous entendions les gens parler.

The host and all of the staff went over and above to help us have a comfortable stay. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and very generous! Thank you!

There was a putrid smell in our bathroom even after cleaning.

We arrived at around 9:00 PM for a late check-in, after approximately four hours of travelling. As soon as we entered the room, we found that the air conditioning unit, located directly above the bed, was leaking a huge amount of water. The headboard, mattress, pillows, bedside table and floor were already completely soaked. Given the amount of water, it was clear that the leak had started some time before our arrival and that the room had not been properly checked beforehand. As there were no other rooms available and the property’s technician was unavailable, we had to wait for an external technician. After such a long journey, we were unable to properly use the room, unpack or rest normally. The issue was apparently fixed and the bed and bedding were replaced, but we still spent the night in an extremely humid room, worried that the leak might happen again. Unfortunately, the following day, when we returned from our excursion, we found that the air conditioner was leaking again. The bedside table and floor were once again wet, and the air conditioner remote control had been completely damaged by water entering it. Only at that point were we offered another room. However, the second room did not solve the broader issue regarding the quality and condition of the property. The overall condition is very different from what is shown in the photographs on Booking.com: heavily deteriorated furniture and doors, damaged walls, poorly maintained furnishings, and a bathroom and shower with clear maintenance issues, including rust, deteriorated sealant, and hair and residue in the shower. The difference between the photographs published on Booking.com and the reality we found is truly enormous. The photos we are attaching to this review accurately show the actual condition of the property. Even the laundry service offered as compensation turned out to be problematic.

沒有電梯,房間門不是很好鎖 check out 的櫃檯態度很差 最後才跟我加收水的錢兩罐440盧比 我給他500結果60盧比他竟然直接跟我說no change 我知道60盧比並不多但是是她最後才跟我加收 竟然還說零錢找不開 她看我很生氣才說她只有50盧比加一個10塊硬幣 身為飯店櫃檯應該主動說有多少而不是講no change 不能認為觀光客可以忽略60盧比 或是認為客人應該把60盧比當小費給你 我寧願給幫忙搬行李的員工們 因為這件事情再扣一分！ The receptionist lady is rude

The location was brilliant, just a short walk from the main road where all the bars and restaurants were. The staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough for us the whole time we were there.

No lifts, there are a lot of steps to get to the room.

The space of the rooms were more than adequate for two people. The hotel facilities were great for a chilled evening to sit relax. This property was also the perfect location. Situated only a short walk away from the main attractions and highly rated restaurants.

In my room in particular the bath panel was a little broken but still possible to use. I feel there were areas / spaces just needed a jet wash to get into the crevices for complete cleanliness.

Amazing location with modern clean facilities. The staff was brilliant, welcoming us with a mixed fruit juice at the door and collecting our luggage. Sensational traditional breakfast with huge portions as well as western food options alongside. We used their laundry service which was incredibly efficient and made sure we had our clothing back within 4 hours. Cold plunge pool was a great addition to the stay and we highly recommend this hotel!

Location was excellent, 5 min walk to all restaurants/ cafés. Nice to not be along the ‘strip’ but v close. Staff were super and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Pool & sun loungers were a great asset. Would highly reccomend this!

The staff were wonderful especially the old guy out the front that keeps an eye on your car or tuk tuk in our case. The barman was grest and the restaurant staff provided an amazing breakfast experience. Plunge pool wad nice and we enjoyed the pool table.

Very helpful staff - we were exhausted after huge hikes and the comfy bed and air con were amazing. The staff were also great, helped us with stairs and sorting a takeaway dinner. Thank you guys :)

Hot tub not working

The level of service was exceptional. The entire team was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The room was spacious, well equipped, and had a scenic view of the Ella Rock. great breakfast, we had dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend “ELLA HERITAGE” to anyone visiting Ella.

Instalaciones estupendas y todo super limpio, ubicación muy buena porque se llega andando a la calle principal pero no está en medio de todo el barullo. Wasana fue encantadora. El desayuno buenísimo.

The property is very clean , good breakfast, and courteous staff. They guides us well during our stay. There is a person name “Wasana” , she was really good.

There are no lifts and our room is on 2nd floor. We need to climb up which was tiring specially when you have a long day.

Very welcoming staff! The location was great to walk to the restaurants nearby but it was a bit noisy during the night due to external factors nothing to do with the hotel guest or hotel itself . If you are a person that likes quite nights just bring hear plugs as we did and is comfortable enough. The breakfast team was very fast and tried to give us as many different dishes to try.

For us was all good! As mentioned if you take the upper floor as we did maybe difficult for some people to go up and a bit noisy otherwise enjoy the nice area and hotel :)

Great location in town, beautiful views and pool, one waiter better understood when I mentioned I had an allergy and was able to reassure me that my breakfast was safe, excessively large breakfast was able to be put into takeaway boxes by the very helpful waiter

Had to ask reception to increase water pressure as we did not initially have any cold water on the top floor but this was addressed very promptly with minimal fuss, could serve a bit less food for breakfast to minimise waste

Compromised Services Washroom Mosquitos inside the room

Excellent accomodation for a stay in Ella. Short walk to the main street and the attractions such as Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam's Peak walk can also be walked to. Staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pool is a nice option if you want to relax for a few hours.

we informed them we want a lower room as i can't walk alot of stairs, the hotel confirmed they booked the lowest room available. when we arrived they told us they upgraded us to the mountain room which was a higher level (the room we booked was occupied it was not an upgrade). they moved us to the lower room after the initial guest left.

The staff were very friendly, amazing Sri Lankan breakfast, delicious, so much food! Comfy beds, small horizon pool with a great view. Just on the edge of town but close enough to walk.

Tv wasn’t working

I didn’t like that the receptionist lied to us about the pool being open and didn’t inform us in advance that it was closed and not working. When we arrived, we asked what time the pool closed, and she confidently told us the hotel’s working hours but never mentioned that the pool was out of service and in terrible condition. After our complaints, they cleaned it the next evening, but it was impossible to use because of the strong smell of chlorine. The only downside is that there are a lot of cockroaches, but otherwise everything is amazing.

Atmosphere of the entire hotel covering every main area such as rooms,restaurant,pool are quite good and maintaining very well.
