The owner was lovely and offered a great breakfast option. His garden is lovely.

The ventilation in the room was very poor and because of the heat we needed to leave the glass door open. Unfortunately many mosquitoes entered the room and I’m still suffering from multiple bites( almost a week later)

Todo, desde la atención de Luis Miguel en todo momento, la casa que es enorme y preciosa, la habitación tan amplia y con la galería que te da otro espacio en la habitación, el baño que aunque es compartido lo es solo entre dos habitaciones, la cocina tan grande, el comedor tan acogedor, la ubicación, todo.

A wonderful, charming place with a unique atmosphere. The property has everything you need, including a very well-equipped kitchen. You can order breakfast for a specific time or choose selected items from the available menu. The room was spacious and comfortable, with very comfortable beds. The bathroom is located in the hallway and shared between two rooms. Each room has its own separate shower. Every room is marked with a different flower symbol, which identifies the facilities assigned to that room. The host was exceptionally kind and welcoming. If I ever return to Furnas, I will definitely stay here again.

Sehr ruhig und sehr sauber

The house is incredible, very cozy, clean and comfortable. The owner has all the flags of the world, so if you are from a weird country the owner Luis Miguel will have your flag for sure and will put it outside for you. He is a very nice person, good energy and will make you feel at home.

You have to pay 5 euros to use the kitchen, 2 euros for the car and 15 euros if you want to wash your clothes. All good, but that its not described whne you book this place. You "cant" cook fish as well, but we did it anyway as we bought the fish before arriving to this place.

I absolutely loved that the property was under 10 minutes walking distance from all of Furnas’ amenities - from the park and river, to the lagoon hiking trail, hot springs, restaurants and the supermarket. It was also heavenly waking up to the sounds of birdsong, with the beautiful garden all around. Luís is a GEM of a host and he and I had some really wonderful chats about the islands’ history and culture.

No complaints - I was expecting the shared bathroom, so this didn’t phase me. And I loved the separate shower keys for each room.

Frühstück war individuell und liebevoll zubereitet. Die Lage des Hauses ist toll, es ist ruhig, blumig. Für uns war es eine Wohlfühloase. Der Gastgeber war sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Bei unserer Ankunft war die deutsche Flagge gehisst :)

Luiz is really a very nice person, we enjoyed a lot talking with him about history of his family. Good advices about main things to do at Furnas and good recommandations for restaurants !

Ruhige lage im grünen. Alle ziele in furnas fussläufig erreichbar. Bademantel im zimmer bereitgehalten. Blumen vor dem eingang.

Gleich am anfang erfahren, was wir nicht dürfen. Steht auch überall auf tafeln und aufkleber. Nutzung der gemeinschaftsküche kostet extra. Aussensitzplatz auf betonfläche (ich hatte gedacht, wir sitzen im garten). Recht dunkel durch die vorgebauten wintergärten. Badezimmer wurde mit einem anderen zimmer geteilt. Daher mussten wir eine stunde warten, bis wir "dran" waren. Besser, wenn beide badezimmer von allen gästen genutzt werden können.

Petit déjeuner en supplément mais fabuleux, le propriétaire parle très bien Français et est très sympathique et est toujours prêt à vous aider.

The quietness, the birds talk,close to nature.

I chose this accommodation because it was close to Terra Nostra botanical gardens., which are truly wonderful. The garden surrounding the property is also beautifully cared for. The trip was all about improving my wellbeing after illness, and the host assured me that I had made a good choice. He was very considerate the first night of my stay.

The host made me very uncomfortable when he started shouting angrily at me on my second morning. I had not left the kitchen window fully open as he preferred. There is so much to say about what followed. His behaviour was very unsettling and upsetting. I left my stay there earlier than planned and will make a full statement to Booking.com

Very kind host who was very welcoming!

The bed was firm which some people might like! I just had really bad neck pain so we ended up leaving to stay somewhere else. It also didn’t have a connecting bathroom to the room and the shower was older.

Líbil se nám úžasný a lidský přístup majitele. Díky němu jsme se cítili jako doma. Vse bylo čisté a pravidelně udržované. Okolí ubytování a zahrada jsou nádherné. Majitel nám doporučil tipy, co navštívit.

hluk uvnitř budovy, příliš mnoho restrikcí, parkování a použití kuchyně za extra příplatek, z terasy není vidět do zahrady, neb okna jsou "špinavá", mohou se však otevřít, pokud však máte přijatelné počasí.

Die Lage war sehr gut. Viele Orte können von Furnas aus schnell erreicht werden. Uns hat vor allem das leckere und grosszügige Frühstück begeistert, dass individuell zusammen gestellt werden kann. Ausserdem ist Luis ein herzlicher Gastgeber, welcher uns viele wertvolle Tipps gegeben hat. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder bei ihm buchen.

The Quinta is surrounded by a lovely garden and is very convenient to reach the Furnas' lake, as well as Poca da Dona Beija. The space is big and very well organised, allowing for a pleasant stay while sharing the bathroom. They offer different options for breakfast and the house also has fridge, microwave and coffee machine that guests can use. Finally, Luis is a wonderful and super friendly host, going above and beyond to welcome guests warmly. Thank you so much for all your support and chats!

Secluded location in the park setting. Good bed. Some horizontal space in the room. Friendly owner. Veranda with 2 beach chairs, accessible from the room. Everything in bathroom is in as-new condition. Good shower. Owner suggested a better cozido restaurant. It was good.

Walk to bathroom includes a cold floor in corridor (stone tiles in April were freezing), while no slippers are provided. Not a single hook of shelf in the bathroom. Not a single spare electric outlet in the room. I asked owner for a splitter and he suggested a store where I could buy one. Limited shelf space in the closet. Kitchen stove comes at 5 euro a day, cash only. Living room looks picturesque, though lighting is insufficient for reading and sofa does not support group sitting.

Die Unterkunft hat sehr schöne Zimmer und liegt in einem traumhaften Garten. Die Lage ist perfekt. Man kann alles zu Fuss erreichen. Unser Gastgeber war sehr hilfbereit. Wir durften die Küche benutzen. Alles perfekt. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

la quinta si trova poco fuori dal centro di Furnas ci si sposta facilmente. Luis è molto simpatico, ha dato dei buoni suggerimenti per il soggiorno. la camera non ha il bagno ma condivide il bagno con un altra camera, ma non è stato un problema, anche perché ogni camera ha la sua doccia nel bagno. Consigliatissimo per chi vuole fare un soggiorno a Furnas. Io ci sono andato per fare qualche bagno termale. quinta de Santana è a meno di 10 minuti a piedi da Poco de Dona Beja e anche meno dal Parco Terra Nostra.

Superbe endroit entouré de plantes et d'arbres. Accès au salon commun. Propriétaire sympathique qui parle un excellent français.

Attention aux frais cachés. Il faut payer pour utiliser la cuisine et le stationnement.

Goed gelegen in Furnas. Rustige kamer en buurt. Vriendelijk ontvangst en we kregen goede tips voor lokale restaurants en activiteiten.

De kamer rook muf, mede omdat het raam uitkwam op een soort veranda dus je kon niet direct verluchten. Online is het niet direct duidelijk dat de badkamer gedeeld is. De douche is wel met een deur en slot.

Amazing property, beautiful garden, and the number 1 host! Thank you for a great stay!

This accommodation is located on the edge of town, in a quiet, nicely landscaped garden. However, the town centre, shops and thermal baths are not far away. The room was quite small but tidy and had plenty of storage space, as well as a beautiful veranda with seating and a place to hang clothes. The shared areas are spacious and well equipped. What I appreciated most was the kindness and friendliness of the owner, who gave us lots of valuable advice and tips about places to visit and eat.

Parking your car directly in the garden requires some driving skill, but it's not too difficult.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und ruhig. Luis hat uns tolle Tips gegeben. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Après les haies d'hortensias, traversez de la forêt enchantée et vous arrivez dans un havre de paix. Luis est un hôte formidable. Nous avons passé cinq jours dans ce logement. Plus qu'un lieu de repos ce logement est devenu un lieu de partages, de découvertes, d'échanges, de vie. Une expérience qui nous a permis d'en apprendre davantage sur les habitants des Açores au-delà des photos clichées et des attractions touristiques. Un grand merci à Luis pour son accueil et sa bienveillance.

Il silenzio assoluto, la tranquillità e l’ottima posizione immersa nella natura, la vicinanza alle principali attrazioni di Furnas, ottima anche l’accoglienza, insomma consigliatissimo!

Il posto é molto bello e rilassante, e il letto é davvero comodissimo! Mi é piaciuto anche che fosse tutto silenzioso e immerso nella natura.

Non mi é piaciuto il fatto che ci fossero tutta una serie di optional a pagamento non menzionati sul sito di booking che includono: utilizzo della cucina, utilizzo del parcheggio, utilizzo del barbecue, etc. Per il resto, il padrone di casa é molto disponibile e gentile

Luis è un ottimo padrone di casa. Il soggiorno è stato davvero piacevole! La struttura è accogliente, pulita e curata nei dettagli, ma ciò che la rende speciale è senza dubbio l’attenzione del proprietario. Ogni mattina prepara personalmente la colazione con prodotti freschi e locali: un modo autentico per iniziare la giornata e scoprire i sapori del territorio. L’ospitalità è calorosa e genuina, ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Immerso nel verde ma a due passi dal paese. Consigliatissimo!

Il bagno in comune ci spaventava un po’ ma ogni stanza ha la sua doccia privata. l’abbiamo sempre trovato molto pulito.

The bed was very hard.

We had a nice stay! Luis was really friendly and even put up a flag from my country. He provided great recommendations for food and baths in the area, plus the garden and location of the house were both super nice. Everything was cleaned daily, which we appreciated.

Just a few things to note: the setup felt more like a hostel, with a bathroom shared with 1 other room (although we had it to ourselves as no one was in the next room). This wasn’t super clear in the description, so it's worth checking if that’s important to you. Also, if you're staying for less than 2 days, access to the kitchen is not allowed.

The room had a strong moldy smell, the bed linnens felt humid and the bathroom was not clean. The bed was terrible, you could feel the metal wires in your back. The bathroom (located on a common access hallway) has no lock and despite advertising was only private because the other room was not currently rented out.

The guest house is well located close to Furmas center. We liked to stay here, to walk to the town, go for a run around the Furnas Lake or drive to Fago beach. The host recommended us to restaurants and all the places we should visit. He introduced newcomers very friendly and introduced "old" guests with "new" guests. Overall, a nice place we enjoyed.

There are two things, number one the bed was poor. It is an old metal spring bed. The second item is that there are a lot of mosquitos while there are no nets etc to reduce the amount entering the rooms.

There was no breakfast offer. I thought the property was beautiful, but the room was extremely humid and stuffy, no windows just a large sliding door, that did not lock.

The owner of the property has many stories to tell and likes to take a lot of your time, as if we pay our vacation to spend it with him. Very annoying. After 5 days they stopped cleaning the bathroom properly, the tub was not cleaned in the last few days of our stay. The night was hot and we wish we had a fan to circulate the air, but everything else was great!

The location was absolutely perfect, so close to everything we wanted to explore. The house was lovely, and we really appreciated the attention to detail. But the gardens... they were simply breathtaking. You could feel the love and care that went into creating them. My mother adored walking through them, discovering the different corners and asking about the various flowers and plants. She described it as a little piece of paradise. Luís and his son were incredibly kind and welcoming, and Luís took the time to share with us the area's history and the beauty of Furnas and the Azores. In short, if you're planning a trip to Furnas, you simply must stay here.

We loved the property and the gardens. It takes a lot of work to maintain the gardens, keeping the wonderful plants and flowers perfectly trimmed. We also loved the quiet patio areas with the glass sliding doors to sit and read and to relax and have fresh air with lovely comfortable furniture. The kitchen was awesome, and with a full size fridge. The living room was very comfortable for relaxing on the big couch, and the homemade liquors were a unique and fascinating touch. We had great conversations with Luis and learned much from him about Portugal. He is a spendid host and adds his own personal touch. He also gave us very good dinner recommendations. We also loved occasionally hearing the cows, sheep, and chickens from a (not too) nearby farm.

There was nothing that we did not like. Just a couple of helpful notes: It took a minute for us Americans to get used to the fact that the bathroom is next to the bedroom, just down the hall and not directly attached to the bedroom. It is a private bathroom, not shared. We quickly adapted to that. I think a small map of Furnas with street names and points of interest marked on it would have helped us. We were confused about the streets and used the GPS to get us to town and back because of the one-way streets. We didn't walk since we did not know how far away the market was or how to find it. There is a knee replacement on the horizon, so we were reluctant to walk too far. Maybe a couple of ice cube trays would have been nice, for making a small amount of ice for drinks.

Luis, the owner was very welcoming, helpful with dining, sightseeing tips on our 3 nights stay from May13. Take time to walk around his beautiful, peaceful, paradise of a garden with fruit trees, flowers, pond, awesome treed place. The bedroom. private bathroom ( next to bedroom), equipped kitchen, living room, patio was very spacious, relaxing. Wished we stayed here longer with close proximity to center of Furnas, Lagoa da Furnas and iconic sights. Private free on site parking was a plus, Highly recommend this place.
