Sweet Emotion

Sin duda, el mejor hotel de todo nuestro viaje por Sri Lanka. La habitación era muy cómoda, amplia y, sobre todo, impecablemente limpia. La limpieza de todo el alojamiento es excelente y merece una mención especial. Los dueños fueron increíblemente amables y atentos en todo momento. Nos ayudaron a alquilar una moto, nos hicieron la colada y, además, nos recibieron con un coco fresco para cada uno, un detalle que nos encantó. Estoy muy agradecida de haber pasado nuestras dos últimas noches en Sri Lanka en este hotel. Fue la mejor forma de terminar un viaje inolvidable. ¡Lo recomiendo al 100%!

Sehr zu empfehlen! Die Zimmer und die Anlage sind in einem top Zustand, alles sehr sauber und die Menschen dort sehr fürsorglich. Die Nähe zum Strand und zu diversen Lokalen ist auch einfach toll. Wir würden wieder kommen und können diese Unterkunft von Herzen empfehlen!

The family owners were so welcoming giving us tea and ice cream on arrival. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. There’s a nice seating area outside to relax on aswell. One afternoon once we’d returning from the beach they came and gave us a big bowl of fresh fruit a nice gesture! We made use of the laundry service which was great . You’ll sleep easy here as it’s away from the main busy road.

Très bon accueil dans cette guest-house où l'on prendra soin de vous en toute simplicité. Le gros plus, c'est son emplacement au calme et en retrait de l'agitation de la ville, dans une venelle ombragée à deux pas de la "Turtle Beach" (la fameuse place où l'on voit fréquemment des tortues), et de la "Cocont Tree Hill". Nous avons fait une très agréable balade à pieds qui nous a fait longer la plage de Mirissa pour nous emmener jusqu'au port (très joli port avec des bateaux de toutes les couleurs). En chemin, nous sommes passés devant le Parrot Rock et nous avons savouré le dynamisme et la douceur de vivre de cette charmante station balnéaire. Les bars de plage se succèdent, chacun proposant son ambiance. Le soir, les pêcheurs viennent présenter leurs prises colorées (magnifiques langoustes, poissons de récif) pour les vendre. Chambre située au rez de chaussée spacieuse, avec des équipements simples mais efficaces. Elle donne sur un joli jardin planté d'arbres fruitiers fréquentés par de nombreux oiseaux. Salle de bain correcte, très propre. Bonne literie, et (très appréciable) mise à disposition d'une prise anti-moustiques. Nos hôtes nous ont proposé d'organiser notre safari baleines à un prix très intéressant. Nous avons refusé parce que nous avions déjà effectué une réservation ailleurs, mais gardez en tête qu'ils pourraient organiser le vôtre. Nous avons vu une baleine et de nombreux dauphins, c'était très sympa. Nous recommandons cet établissement sans réserve !

Good location set off from the main road but only 10 min walk to the beach. Very clean and modern rooms with effective AC units. Nice shared balcony area. Owners were kind and we utilised their laundry service.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Sweet Émotion. Nous avons eu une belle chambre pour un bon rapport qualité prix. Une option petit déjeuner est proposé. Le logement est bien placé, pas loin du centre, ni de la plage. Le personnel est très sympathique.

Douche was perfect

Er was geen standaard shampoo en zeep bij de douche. Voor deze prijs had ik dat wel verwacht

La struttura è un'accogliente villa abitata dai proprietari, due persone meravigliose e molto gentili. La camera è ben arredata, con delle belle luci e molto molto pulita. Ha una terrazza meravgliosa con tavolo sedie e poltrone. Mettono a disposizione degli ospiti una cucina attrezzata dove noi ci siamo preparati la colazione ed anche una cena. Ha un bel giardino e della bella vegetazione intorno. Lo consiglio veramente, anche per la location molto tranquilla. Grazie Galle per lo splendido soggiorno!

The host was so nice! She offered us fruits and some pancakes for breakfast (which we didn‘t book). Laundry service was good and the room was nice.

Die Lage ist super, alles zu Fuß zu erreichen, sowohl die Restaurants als auch die Strände. Die Gastgeber sind super hilfsbereit, haben uns auch sehr günstig einen Roller zur Verfügung gestellt und am letzten Tag auch was zum frühstücken gemacht, obwohl wir nichts gebucht hatten.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und neu. Es ist alles sehr sauber und das Personal sehr sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und sehr lecker. Wir können es nur empfehlen hier zu übernachten!

Der Ausblick von der Terasse ist traumhaft. Morgens kann man Affen und verschiedene Papageien Arten beobachten. Es war sehr wunderschön und die Besitzer sind sehr nett. Es gab jeden Tag etwas frisches aus dem Garten (Banane, Papaya, Kokosnuss). Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und es sind nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand.

Het hotel is gelegen in een prachtige groene buurt dicht bij het strand weg van de grote weg. We werden ontzettend gastvrij ontvangen en de kamers waren brandschoon. We kregen extra handdoeken voor het strand. Dit strand lag overigens op slechts 5 minuten loopafstand. Taxiservice, scooterverhuur het is allemaal mogelijk bij het hotel. Hoewel we niet voor de natuur bij dit hotel kwamen hebben we toch een water varaan, een schildpad, een niet eerder gespotte aap gezien (in de straat). Dit maakte de ervaring van het hotel nog leuker. We kregen af en toe een kopje koffie en wat fruit uit tuin van de eigenaren. Dit was ook een hele fijne toevoeging. Ik vond het zelf het leukste verblijf in 5 weken Sri Lanka.

Very clean room with AC and small fridge. All of the facilities are provided. The host is always ready to help you with any questions. They helped us with a transfer from the airport for a very reasonable price.

The host are great Bed is very comfortable Bathroom is nice, perfect shower And everything is very clean We recommand to book the massage there, even if it’s more expensive, it’s high quality and worth it

I have stayed in many places around Sri Lanka, but my favourite one is Sweet Emotion. The hosts are exceptional and very helpful. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast is wonderful. I bet you that you cannot find a better place for the price they offer, a great value for the money.

Host provided us a free breakfast even when we booked a room without breakfast.

The owners took us in around midnight as we were fleeing a roach infested hotel. We were very grateful. The room was clean and the shower had hot water! (something we discovered is rare in Srilanka). It was very comfortable.

It's a little hard to find, which might be a google maps issue, the first time we put in the adress it sent us 150 km away. But no worries, it is in fact in Marissa, around 4 minutes from the beach by tuk tuk.

Bathroom would have benefited from a shower curtain or screen. Mosquito net would have been helpful.

The room was very clean and spacious. It an ok location close to the turtle beach and walking distance to the city.

The price was a bit too high for the standard, not the best value for money. The hostess very nice but less attentive than in other places where we stayed, not a problem though.

We had a great vacation! The guesthouse is in a quiet location, nice well maintained courtyard. The rooms are spacious and comforatable, everything is new. There is not even a hint of damp or mold - which is very rare for Sri Lanka. Everywhere is very clean, every few days they clean the rooms and change towels. The hosts sometimes treated us to local fruit or food. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sweet Emotion! The name truly matches the place—it’s all about sweet emotions here. We fell in love with the owners, Ganga and her husband. They welcomed us with such warmth and care that we didn’t feel like we were staying at a hotel; it felt like home. The atmosphere is so cozy and heartwarming. From the very first day, they surprised us with a beautiful gift basket filled with pineapple, bananas, cookies, and even coconuts. Throughout our stay, they treated us with coconuts, juices, and on one occasion, even a delicious breakfast as a gift. It was such a kind gesture that made us feel truly special. The room was fantastic—newly renovated, with a strong internet connection and excellent water pressure. We had no issues with water temperature or flow, which made our stay even more comfortable. The balcony was one of the highlights—we loved sitting there, especially in the evenings. The view was beautiful, and the atmosphere was so peaceful. The courtyard is charming and cozy, and the location is simply magical. It’s perfectly situated between Coconut Tree Hill and Turtle Beach Bay, just a 5-10 minute walk to either spot. This makes it an ideal location for exploring these iconic places while still enjoying the peace and beauty of the jungle surroundings. We often saw wildlife like monkeys, peacocks, and squirrels along the way, which added to the experience. For anyone planning a long stay, this is the ideal place. We stayed for 20 days and used the kitchen, which was very convenient. The place is perfect for feeling at home even when you’re far away. Thank you so much, Ganga and your husband, for your incredible hospitality, warmth, and care. We hope to return again someday! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and unforgettable stay.

Not right on the beach but close enough.

We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel - the best we’ve had on our travels around Sri Lanka. It was super clean, the bed was comfy and the views from the balcony were lovely. A perfect home away from home to get a good nights sleep and relax after time on the beach. Ganga and her husband welcomed us when we arrived with a coconut, which was a lovely touch. They were really helpful with anything we needed for our stay. We recommend this hotel to everyone who is planning a visit to Mirissa. We hope to come back one day!

Lovely place. The second floor is completely new. Everything is well-organised and conveniently furnished. The location is close to Coconut hill and Turtle Beach but on the other hand far enough from the noisy road. On top of that, the people who run the place are adorable. They took great care of us and our daughter.

Everything was perfect! Good location, very quiet, 5-10 min to turtle beach, coconut hill. They brought mango and watermelon platters during our stay. 100% recommend.

I had a lovely stay at Sweet Emotion 😍 The owners very welcoming and made me feel safe and comfortable. The room is spacious and modern and extremely clean. Great water pressure in the shower and hot which is a must form me ☺️.  The bedding is very comfortable and I had great night's sleep at this place. I was only supposed to be staying 3 nights but ended up staying 6 nights as I liked it so much.  It is set back from the road so you don't get noise from the traffic. It is appoximately a 10 minute walk or short tuktuk ride to Mirissa Beach which is the main area in Mirissa. Coconut Tree Hill is also within short walking distance which is one of the main attractions of Mirissa to get that famous Insta shot.  Laundry is available at the property which I used and glad I did ☺️.  The owners even let me have a late check out as my train was not leaving until later in the afternoon and they had availability. This was very much appreciated.  I hope you enjoy your stay at Sweet Emotion as much as I did. 😊

We had a brilliant stay at Sweet Emotion. It was a very last minute booking after another guesthouse had let us down. Ganga and her family immediately made us feel welcome and provided a fresh papaya juice straight from the garden. The room was large, clean and had a lovely modern bathroom. Highly recommend as a lovely base to explore Mirissa. Thank you Ganga!

Absolutely delightful stay in Mirissa! The accommodation was top-notch - clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. It was conveniently located near all the tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the area. Coconut tree hill and parrot rock was in walking distance. What truly made our experience special were the owners. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The room was very spacious and there was a large rooftop where you can relax in the evening. They have provided us a hair dryer, two multi plugs & free WiFi. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Mirissa!

Clean spacious rooms, lovely and kind staff, close to the main attractions of Mirissa

Ganga and his husband are very worm and welcoming persons. The building is new with outstanding high standarts- absolut reccomandation. We got a welcome drink and a fruit plate for free. Is very close to turtle beach und coconut hill. Is in a very quiete sitestreet.

The room and bathroom were very comfortable, spacious and clean. We loved the terrace with palm trees all around. The owners were very helpful and welcoming, they arranged the motorbike for us. The location of the place is perfect - not far from the Mirissa centre.

Charming guesthouse with large clean rooms run by kind owners. Ganga made us very welcome with a fresh coconut from their garden and along with her husband took the time to talk to us upon arrival. She also helped us with aanging onward transport when we left Mirassa. We liked the location as the property is away from the busy coastal road but still only 5 minutes walk from Turtle beach and Coconut Hill. We recommend the ample beautifully cooked breakfast (available upon request). Finally, we were shown what in the near future will be a beautiful open Yoga studio to add to the property when finishing touches are complete.

We've been to Mirissa a few times and this is one of the nicest places we've stayed. The rooms are large and very clean with a mini fridge. The room feels very cool with both A/C and ceiling fan. The bathroom was also large with a nice shower! The water pressure in the shower was great as well. We would definitely stay again!

The breakfast was very good, fresh produce and excellent service from the staff. They are always trying to make you feel comfortable and make sure all is done well. When I arrived they gave me a fresh coconut, from their own garden, and took the time to talk to me. Besides this I felt I could ask them anything, which I didn't, but they made me feel at home there. I would definitely go here again when I visit the country again.

The only thing I could say is that they were doing some construction works, after the morning, but this is only to be nitpicking and find an answer to this question. Really enjoyed my stay here!

- lots of mosquitos in the bathroom unfortunately but this is of no fault to the property. Just something for guests to be mindful of in Sri Lanka - no mosquito net however in hindsight, I didn’t ask if they had any available

The house is located away from the road, on a hill. Two numbers. Each room has a shower and hot water, hair dryer. Shared kitchen for two rooms. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Everything is very clean, nice white and towels. The beach is about 15 minutes walk. We rented a motorbike (400 rupees / 1 day). Buy mosquito spray. On the street in the evening, it can come in handy. There is a mosquito repellant in the room. There is air conditioning. There is a generator. The owners of the house are very attractive, pleasant and friendly people. Owner Ganga, the soul of the house. Sumit's husband is a guardian and helper. We recommend this house.

Ganga and Sumith are amazing hosts! There are many advantages about this place: great location - minutes to turtle beach, WiFi is great and reliable for remote work, power generator, nicely equipped kitchen - everything you need for short or long stay. Room is spacious and very comfortable. Ganga and Sumith will make your stay perfect.
