Mieliśmy przyjemność zatrzymać się w jednym z dwóch dostępnych domków i to miejsce okazało się idealne na spokojny wypoczynek. Panowała tam cisza i prawdziwy relaks z dala od zgiełku. Właściciele są bardzo mili i pomocni, polecili nam świetne miejsce na masaż, z którego byliśmy bardzo zadowoleni. Dodatkowo istnieje możliwość poproszenia o przygotowanie specjalnego posiłku za opłatą, co jest dużym plusem. Śniadania były bardzo dobre i świeże, wszystko przygotowane z dbałością. Może warunki nie są typowo europejskie, ale było czysto i na miejscu znajduje się basen

We hebben enorm genoten van dit verblijf! Een gezellig huisje met eigen zwembad in een prachtige tuin. Alles was zeer proper en onderhouden. De eigenaren zijn enorm vriendelijke mensen en helpen je graag met alles verder. Ze hebben voor ons een safari en massage geregeld, zeker een aanrader. De eigenaar bracht ons met de auto overal waar we naartoe wilde gaan. De dame was een schat van een vrouw en haar kook kunsten zijn een grote aanrader. We kunnen dit verblijf alleen maar aanbevelen!

La persona que lleva el hotel vive allí y está siempre muy atenta y servicial, haciendo que la estancia sea aún más agradable. Además, la piscina está genial y es perfecta para relajarse. ¡Muy recomendable!

Super Empfehlung! Sehr fürsorgliche, freundliche Gastgeber, er holte uns vom Flughafen ab, sie bereitete zu jeder Zeit etwas leckeres zum Essen vor, das Frühstück war fantastisch und abwechslungsreich, es gab immer einen leckeren Smoothie mit dazui. Die Unterkunft war toll, kleines Häuschen für uns, mit eigenem kleinen Pool, etwas abgelegen,aber uns wurde für alle Ausflüge ein TukTuk organisiert. Ganz toll!!

Great host, this place is a gem. Host Chandi has taken alot of care and attention in the presentation of the villa's Great food and we were very impressed with the host. I had a sprain ankle and Chandi went to the pharmacy and bought cream then massaged my ankle. Chandi also came back if 4 hours to rub it again. We were treated like family with caring hosts.

De eigenaren zijn geweldig, heel erg lief, ze weten heel veel en kunnen je heel veel vertellen in goed engels, ontzettend gastvrij, de vrouw des huizes kan heerlijk koken, wij hebben genoten van het overmatige ontbijt en de heerlijke avondmaaltijden, daar hoef je de deur niet voor uit. advies boek via hun een safari, zei weten precies in welk park en tijdstip je moet wezen als je olifanten wilt zien. Ze willen alles wel voor je doen. Het huisje is erg netjes en groot en heerlijk met zwembad om even af te koelen. En overal plek om even te relaxen, binnen op de heerlijke bank of buiten op de ligbedden. Als we terug komen naar srilanka is dit een adres waar we met alle liefde weer komen.

Alles, vriendelijke mensen,behulpzaam, enorm mooie locatie,lekker eten…Mahesh ‘de gids en chauffeur’ om van je vakantie te genieten. Plan je uitstappen met hem.

Wir hatten bisher den schönsten Aufenthalt in Sigiriya. :) Die Unterkunft ist ruhig, sehr gepflegt und der private Pool ist toll. Wir wurden rundum versorgt und haben uns richtig heimisch gefühlt. Wir wurden sogar zu Restaurants gefahren/abgeholt und am Ende unseres Aufenthalts bis nach Kandy gefahren. Auf den Fahrten haben wir viel über das Land erfahren. Das Essen war super lecker und wurde stets mit Liebe zubereitet. Vielen Dank für alles!

I proprietari di casa sono due bravissime persone. La moglie, molto simpatica, ci ha cucinato colazione e cena, entrambe ottime. Ci ha anche fatto il favore di farci pagare in euro. Il marito si è offerto di accompagnarci al villaggio per ritirare in ATM e ci è anche tornato a prendere dopo cena (gratis). Ottima la piscina, la camera e il servizio cena/colazione.

La posizione di notte potrebbe essere pericolosa per via degli elefanti. Meglio chiamare un tuc tuc.

Dit was werkelijk een stukje paradijs. Het maakte Sigirya nog geweldiger. De mensen waren super hartelijk en meedenkend in wat we konden doen rond Sigirya. Het ontbijt was elke keer weer een feestmaal dat vers werd klaargemaakt. We hebben super hard genoten en raden het iedereen aan!!

Tolle Unterkunft mit eigenem Pool. Die Gastgererin war super nett, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Das beste Essen unserer ganzen Reise hatten wir hier zum Abendessen. Eine schöne Safari zu einem fairen Preis wurde uns ebenfalls von der Gastgeberin organisiert.

Close to nature, with lots of diverse bird life, and the odd monkey and mongoose! Walks through the interesting country side right outside the front gate. Extraordinarily friendly and hospitable hosts, who meet or anticipate your every need, including providing transport and guiding advice. Excellent, authentic Sri Lankan food available for breakfast lunch or dinner (and in between!) at very reasonable prices. The plunge pool to cool off in. The lovely local people, who are likely to stop and chat when you are out exploring the surrounding area, amongst fruit trees and fields of beautiful vegetables.

The best thing about the stay was the great host and her hospitality. It’s a nice quiet location perfect for a few relaxing days.

Superbe accueil. Les chambres étaient spacieuse et propres. Grace a la gérante du cottage, nous avons pu louer leurs scooters ce qui a été très appréciable car le cottage était un peu reculé. Petit déjeuné très copieux et très bon. La dame était aux petits soins 😊

Das kann man schwer beschreiben, man muss es erleben. selten so freundliche, herzliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber angetroffen, wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an super wohl gefühlt, und obwohl es keine Luxus Unterkunft ist und es da und dort kleine Macken gibt, ist die Gesamterfahrung durchweg positiv. Der private Pool ist super, die Anlage ist gepflegt, das Essen frisch und reichhaltig. Bett ist bequem, Zimmer sauber. Preis Leistung ist top!

Dass der Pool am Anreisetag ohne Wasser war und die Toilette zeitweise undicht.

El trato del personal, muy atento y servicial. Un día nos falló el wifi y fueron a comprarnos tarjetas de datos para los móviles sin cobrarnos nada por ello. Piscina privada, estuvimos muy agusto.

La ubicación es buena y la familia que gestiona el alojamiento es encantadora. La ubicación es perfecta si buscas tranquilidad.

Le hace falta bastante mantenimiento, tanto al entorno como a las propias instalaciones. Al estar en medio de la naturaleza se disfruta de mucha calma, pero también puede venir acompañado de ciertos inconvenientes que se pronuncian más debido al desgaste del alojamiento.

Absolument tout !! Allez-y les yeux fermés ! C’est un endroit exceptionnel avec des hôtes exceptionnels et je pèse mes mots ! Ils sont de très bons conseils et nous ont évité divers arnaques ! Nous y avons passé 2 jours, et ils se sont arrangés pour nous emmener et venir nous récupérer dès que l’ont voulait. Le petit déjeuner est TRÈS TRÈS COPIEUX et magnifiquement préparé, on se sent comme à la maison ! Le cottage est parfait, très propre, jardin où l’ont entend et où peut observer la faune du Sri Lanka… tout est parfait et magnifique ! Encore merci à vous !!

Lovely cottage. Fabulous hosts who looked after us marvellously. Very attentive and friendly. Breakfast each morning was amazing as was the evening meal that they cooked for us. Helpful recommending places to visit and eat as well as arranging transport or taking us themselves. Would definitely atay again. Thank you.

My partner and I are from India and we recently travelled to srilanka and we stayed at Hidden lake cottages in Sigiriya which is maintained by Mrs Chandi and her husband, Mr. Mahesh.She is one of the most welcoming people I've ever met. Our trip in general was great but their hospitality was what made it all the more memorable. We were travelling from Trincomalee and we got the opportunity of spotting some elephants in Hurulu eco park right after we reached Sigiriya. We hadn't even reached the resort yet she cared enough to call and check on us and even volunteered to reveal the actual prices of the safari so that we don't get scammed. But the highlight of the stay was none of this. I can't thank her enough for the food she prepared for us. It was a true Srilankan experience if you ask me. I'm a vegetarian and I've never been more in love with the food while travelling out of India - don't worry, the non veg was exceptional as well. The variety of curries, hoppers, sambhal you name it and she made it all for us. I definitely am going back for this very reason. It was like visiting a relative's house who truly cares about you. Travelling within the city became super seamless as she helped us with everything. And another highlight of the stay was the cute kittens that were in the cottage. I had an amazing time here and would strongly recommend this place to whoever is visiting Sigiriya.

Overbooking ! . Le logement était occupé lorsque nous sommes arrivés. Le propriétaire a préféré laisser le logement au locataire précédent qui souhaitait rester quelques jours de plus dans la région plutôt que d'honorer la réservation que nous avions faite sur booking.com. De plus, il a menti en signalant à booking.com que l'on ne s'était pas présenté. Propriétaire pas fiable. A éviter. Finalement, pour le même prix, nous avons eu la chance de trouver un meilleur hébergement avec une vraie piscine plutôt qu'une pataugeoire.

The accommodation was absolutely nice with totally kind and lovely hosts. We enjoyed our stay a lot and did not miss anything. The little own pool was always nice for a refresh. The breakfast was great as well. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

What makes this place is the owner. She was lovely. Very accommodating. We arrived late and hungry. And there is nowhere to eat locally without getting a car. She made us food and accommodated a vegan..... food was delicious. Breakfast again was delicious and accommodating. The hotel is really cheap and even the mini bar items! The room was clean and comfortable. Having use of an outside area was nice too, set in a natural environment. Nice to eat outside except for the mosquitos! But the owner did bring us a mosquito incense repellant, again very thoughtful.

The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere. There are signs but theyre not easy to see or follow in the dark. Google maps isn't correct for the route either, but luckily a local passed by and helped us. Better signage is a must! We didnt use the pool. It looked nice and clean. But the paint is peeled off in places. A paint job would really elevate the aesthetics!

La clim n'était pas très efficace et coulait dans la chambre le matin on c'est levé avec une flaque d'eau au pied du lit. Ça ne nous a pas empêché de passer une super nuit !

This was a lovely find. You have your own private mini pool, lounges and patio area. The facilities were very good. The owners/staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough to ensure you had a great stay. The breakfast was excellent. We also had a dinner there - superb quality and portions. Great location Habera National park and Siguria rock. Overall, an excellent experience.More than happy to stay again. Thank you.

It is very far and isolated from everything would definitely need a bike or tuktuk to make the most of your stay

The staff were very friendly and chatty as soon as we arrived, they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They provided us a huge homemade breakfast each morning, you definitely won't be left hungry afterwards. The room is nice and private with its own small pool. During my stay I had an accident and the hosts were very proactive in getting me to a medical centre and hospital, they waited for hours and then drove me back to the accommodation, they also allowed a late checkout the following day so I wouldn't be rushed.

The location is not within walking distance to Sigiriya town or any of the main attractions like Lion Rock or Pidurangala Rock, so you will need to have transport. The hosts did drive us places but that cost extra, of course. Even if you wanted to walk, we were advised we definitely shouldn't do that at night time.

It is not easy to find — there is only a small sign on the main street, and it’s visible only if you are driving from one direction. The cottages are very spacious, and the small pools are clean and refreshing. The owner is very nice and helpful. We really liked the place.

The hosts were incredibly generous and hospitable, checking in on us often and helping to plan our transport and sightseeing, including Minniyera Safari. The breakfast and refreshments were exceptional. Bed was really comfortable. The setting was tranquil amongst nature and a bit removed from the city. We really appreciated having the pool to dip in during the heat of the day. We wish we had planned to stay here longer!

An absolute FIND in Sigiriya. It felt like homestay hospitality with the space of a detached bungalow, shady relaxation and sunbathing area, and private plunge pool. There are just two bungalows in the grounds of a delightful, hospitable family home. The owner built them himself! There are huge and delicious breakfasts, and the chance to have tasty home cooked evening meals on your private terrace - we definitely recommend that (we did it twice in three nights!). Birdlife and monkeys around to entertain as you chill between Sigiriya activities.

A blissful four days, being looked after by the most wonderful people. The chalet is tucked away down a little rd,, surrounded by beautiful gardens & farmland. It’s lovely & spacious with the comfiest bed I’ve had all over Asia, not hard! There’s a sofa inside and out, along with a plunge pool, table & sun loungers. It’s all so comfy & relaxing. Everything is so clean and tidy. Breakfast is served to your table, abundance of food, fresh juice & coffee. They can supply a scooty, driver, jeep safari driver, tuk tuk and laundry service. If you require lunch or dinner they will cook for you. Wildlife is everywhere, the birds are incredible beautiful sounds all day long. Obviously as expected there are mosquitoes, bring spray, a net is over the bed it helped. Aircon works well, fridge is always stocked, pool towels are supplied along with shower towels, always hot water. It’s a rustic, jungle stay offering comfort, calm & unbelievable service. I will definitely be going back!

È come stare in famiglia! I proprietari sono due persone meravigliose, gentilissime, molto accoglienti e sempre sorridenti. Inoltre, la signora Dilani, che lavora nella struttura, è fantastica: sempre allegra, gentile e attenta a soddisfare le nostre esigenze. Il bungalow è grande e molto pulito ed il letto molto comodo, la piccola piscina ad uso esclusivo rende il luogo eccellente. La colazione è fantastica e la proprietaria è molto attenta a prepare cose gradite dagli ospiti. La natura circostante è bellissima e tutto il luogo è molto curato! Ogni giorno ci hanno offerto succhi di frutta con dolci, ci siamo sentiti veramente coccolati! Ci hanno noleggiato lo scooter ad un prezzo equo ed erano pronti a soddisfare ogni nostra esigenza. È sicuramente il luogo migliore dove abbiamo soggiornato e siamo in Sri Lanka da oltre 20 giorni. Da qui con lo scooter siamo andati facilmente alla rocca di Sigiriya ed anche al tempio rupestre di Dambulla, oltre che a Pidurangala. Consiglio a tutti questo luogo stupendo!

The host is amazing. We stayed only just one night with a late night check in and an early morning check out and she welcomed us very friendly. We got our packed breakfast at 5 AM and she was smiling.

Espectacular. El sitio es precioso, la cama cómoda, la ducha caliente. Los dueños son encantadores, la piscina súper bonita. Es un 10/10. El desayuno riquísimo y súper abundante no pudimos acabarlo. Reserva y no lo pienses, ha sido nuestro mejor alojamiento en Sri Lanka. Cálida precio brutal.

Todo fue perfecto, repetiría mil veces. Quisimos extender pero estaba lleno.

Didn't fancy using the swimming pools, many bugs in it and very worn, needs repainting, didn't feel clean This was disappointing as it was the main attraction for booking. I hate to say the property didn't meet expectations, it on everything except the pools which just need a little love.

Wenn man sucht und was zu bemängeln hat, kann mancher evtl. Das Bett zu weich oder das Pool etwas in die Jahre gekommen finden. Aber ganz ehrlich, das sind Kleinigkeiten.
