La chambre était propre et l’hôtel est très bien situé. Le staff de l’hôtel était très agréable et prêt à répondre à nos questions. Nous avons pu laisser nos sacs le matin après le check-out pour faire un dernier tour à la plage.

La vue depuis la chambre offre certes un regard sur la plage mais entre les deux il y a quelques déchets et un terrain peu entretenu.

Un peu déçue au départ par rapport aux photos vues en description. Pas vraiment de jardin luxuriant à la période où nous y sommes allés. Néanmoins l’hôtel a un rapport qualité prix très correct. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. On voit la mer mais la vue n’est pas grandiose en raison d’un terrain vague pas du tout entretenu qui se situe entre l’hôtel et la plage. Il s’y trouve parfois des vaches, parfois des chèvres. La plage est magnifique et plutôt très sauvage. On s’y rend par un petit chemin jonché de déchets, ce qui est très regrettable mais pas rare et pas en lien direct avec l’hôtel. Pas de transat ni d’ombre sur cette plage, à part l’ombre de quelques arbres à certaines heures. Une vraie plage sauvage.

Manque d’entretien des alentours.

Das Hotel lebt von seinen freundlichen Mitabeitern die stets hilfsbereit sind.Es liegt an einem Menschenlehren langen Sandstrand mit kräftigen Wellen.Zum öffentlichen,relativ vollen,Passikudabeach,ist es nicht weit.Insgesannt ist es deutlich weniger touristisch als Trinco und Arugam Bay.

Der kurze Weg zum Strand ist leider vermüllt.

Il Blue Sands e’ un luogo speciale per visitare una parte meno turistica della costa est, in un luogo super confortevole e ben tenuto. La struttura è semplice e immersa nella natura, i servizi sono perfetti e la spiaggia di Kalkudha si raggiunge a piedi in un minuto. Sono disponibili anche le bici a noleggio e nei dintorni è possibile non solo raggiungere la spiaggia più turistica di Pasikudah ma anche girare nei dintorni nel cuore di una delle zone abitate dalla popolazione Tamil. Colazione buonissima, camera pulita e confortevole e personale sempre disponibile.

Propriété calme et pleine de charme, beaucoup plus agréable que les gros resorts de la côte, tout en restant très proche de la plage avec un accès direct. La vue sur la mer est magnifique, la chambre très propre et le petit-déjeuner copieux. Le personnel est adorable, très sympathique et toujours disponible. Ils peuvent également organiser des transferts si besoin, pensez simplement à les prévenir à l’avance. Nous avons aussi pu laisser nos sacs toute la journée après le check-out afin de profiter encore de la plage. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons pu nous jeter dans la mer, à moins de 5 minutes à pied, et le coucher de soleil avait vraiment des airs de carte postale. Le soir, nous avons dîné au « Nature Huts » : nourriture délicieuse, que nous recommandons vivement malgré un service un peu lent. Il est également possible d’aller boire un verre dans les resorts voisins pour découvrir une autre ambiance. Nous avons beaucoup aimé pouvoir découvrir les deux baies : celle, plus calme et authentique, de l’hôtel, et celle des resorts, plus luxueuse. Une très belle adresse pour profiter pleinement de la côte !

We had an amazing stay here for two nights and would definitely come back! From the moment we arrived, we were given such a warm welcome and immediately felt at home. Every single member of the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They always had a smile on their face, were genuinely friendly, and so attentive. No matter what we needed, someone was always happy to help. A special thank you goes to Nishantha, who was always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can really tell how much he cares about the guests. We’d also like to mention the owner, Iranga, who was just as friendly, approachable, and genuinely dedicated to making everyone’s stay as enjoyable as possible. Whenever we had a question or needed anything, we could simply send him a message, and it was taken care of almost immediately. The resort itself is beautiful and very well maintained. It’s surrounded by lovely tropical plants and is only about a 2-minute walk from the beach, making it the perfect place to relax. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed: a private balcony or terrace, air conditioning, a fan, a TV, and reliable hot water. The bathroom was spacious, modern, and featured a huge walk-in shower with Western standards. Breakfast was another highlight. It was fresh, delicious, varied every morning, and there was always plenty to choose from. Free drinking water was also available throughout our stay, which was a really nice touch. The value for money is excellent. Considering the beautiful resort, the great location, the outstanding service, and everything that’s included, you really get a lot for what you pay. You can tell that everyone working here genuinely cares about their guests. It’s the warm hospitality, the attention to detail, and the wonderful atmosphere that make this place so special. We can honestly recommend this resort 100% and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Wir hatten einen richtig schönen Aufenthalt! Die Zimmer sind zwar einfach eingerichtet, aber sehr sauber und das Bett war unglaublich bequem – wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Der Gastgeber ist ausgesprochen sympathisch, herzlich und jederzeit gut erreichbar. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Das Frühstück war ein echtes Highlight. Alles war frisch und richtig lecker. Unser Tipp: Unbedingt das sri-lankische Frühstück bestellen – absolut empfehlenswert! 🤤 Der Strand ist in etwa fünf Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Er ist wunderschön, sehr sauber, riesig und selbst tagsüber angenehm ruhig. Wer Erholung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Außerdem gibt es mehrere Restaurants in unmittelbarer Gehnähe, sodass man abends ganz unkompliziert essen gehen kann. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft von Herzen weiterempfehlen!

La struttura è adatta a chi cerca un angolo di pace. Si trova ad un passo dalla spiaggia, facilmente raggiungibile a piedi. Tutti gli altri punti di interesse in zona sono invece facilmente raggiungibili con tuktuk (anche utilizzando l’app PickMe). Il proprietario, così come il personale, sono squisiti, nonché estremamente a disposizione per qualsiasi necessità. Grazie alla loro gentilezza, ci hanno davvero fatto sentire a casa. Siamo stati anche felici di scoprire che il proprietario parla benissimo l’italiano! Dopo giornate di viaggio avevamo la necessità di lavare alcuni vestiti ed il personale si è subito messo a disposizione e ce li ha anche stirati! Le colazioni sono fantastiche, da quella continentale a quella locale dai sapori unici, e vengono servite in una terrazza dove ci si può rilassare ascoltando il cinguettio degli uccelli, e vedendo passare qualche scoiattolo!

La posizione è fantastica, la stanza è ampia con letto comodissimo e terrazzino vista mare. La colazione è stata la migliore provata in Sri Lanka, ottima, abbondante, iper curata e servita sulla terrazza vista mare e giardino. Il gestore una persona gentilissima e attenta, in più ha vissuto in Italia tanti anni, e parla fluentemente italiano: questo ci ha permesso di conversare con lui e avere punti di vista preziosissimi su questo paese. La struttura è a metà tra le due spiagge (più onde/meno onde ovvero il paradiso Pasikudah) e ci arrivi a piedi in 10 min in entrambe. Per strada diversi ristoranti (noi abbiamo provato il Cinnamon, e lo consigliamo, tant’è che ci siamo tornati x 4 giorni di fila). Se vuoi andare nel centro abitato ci arrivi con 5 min di tuc tuc. Avevamo prenotato 3 notti, poi ci siamo fermati una notte in più!!!

Es ist ein sehr familiäres Hotel und sehr ruhig. Es ist einfach ausgestattet dafür aber sehr sauber. Das Frühstück,wir haben singalesisch und international (englisch) gegessen und war sehr gut. Der Strand ist keine 2 Minuten entfernt, sauber und sehr ruhig. Wir durften die Waschmaschine nutzen und auch so wurde uns sehr geholfen. Absolute Empfehlung. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir dort nochmals gebucht haben.

Sajnos nekünk nagy csalódás volt a szálloda, pár perc után távoznunk kellett, mivel a Fotók és a valóság nem egyeztek meg. A szoba nagyon dohos volt, az ágynemű sem tűnt tisztának. Az alkalmazottak kedvesek voltak, semmi negatívat nem tudok rájuk mondani. Viszont aki ezt a szállást foglalja, legyen tisztában vele hogy ez nem egy négy csillagos szállás.

I the middle of nowhere

Nishanth, the one who welcomed us and managed our stay, was exceptional. He helped with everything we needed and was kind. The rooms were comfortable, though one of the rooms had wonky blinds which was a bit uncomfortable as it was on the ground floor. The breakfast was exceptional! A wonderful spread and very hearty. The beachfront claim is not true though - it is near the beach, less than 2 minutes away, but not directly accessible.

Super Hotel direkt am Strand!

We loved the wildlife, the staff, the breakfasts and tranquility of the place. I wouldn't call it a resort as there is no restaurant, just breakfast which was exceptionally good. We used the resort next door, Laya Waves, for dining and swimming pool, sun loungers etc. The area is quiet and peaceful, with some wonderful colourful birds to watch. We fell in love with this place. Rosie the resident dog was a sweetheart and Rani and the manager (sorry forgot the name 🙈) were so welcoming. We would definitely return, just dont expect a resort. The room was really comfortable, good WiFi and quiet ac. It's actually a couple of minutes walk to Kalkuda beach, Padikuda beach is about a 10 minute walk. Photo is of Pasikuda Beach.

Really loved staying in this place, very calm, clean, beautiful view and slept very well here. Special thanks to Nishantha who was very kind and help full. I had dinner twice across the road in a new place which was great. Very recommended

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Personal war immer nett und hilfsbereit. In der Nähe findet man gute Restaurants und der Strand ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt.

Leider hat booking.com die Lager der Unterkunft falsch in der Karte verzeichnet. Ich habe die Unterkunft deshalb zuerst nicht gefunden und auch die Tuktuk-Fahrer konnten mir nicht helfen. Google Maps kennt den richtigen Standort - die Angaben auf Booking.com sind falsch.

Alles prima, auch das Personal war hilfreich. Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig.

Wir waren im Krisenmonat März 2026 dort. Es gab keine Einschränkungen sondern wir wurden bestens versorgt.

Meerblick gibt es nur in den Zimmern im ersten Stock. Kein direkter Strandzugang. Strand ohne Infrastruktur.

Les chambres sont propres mais un petit rafraîchissement ferait du bien. Dommage que le petit jardin en face paraisse abandonné mais ça ne leur appartient pas.

The staff on-site were beyond helpful both before arrival and whilst on-site. The room did not have a kettle but after I asked for one, they provided it as well as water (advising not to use water from the room’s tap). They also organised a car (at a fair price) for me to explore Batticoala one morning. Breakfast each morning was different and plentiful. Was also nice to eat with a view of the beach in the distance as well as their garden (with birds and squirrels often to be seen). The room was large, clean but simple. Had strong AC. Shower had hot water. WiFi worked well.

Not a fault of the property but it’s a bit deserted directly around it and at night there is not enough street light to comfortably walk the distance from there to Passikudah Beach area where there are some options for eating or drinking.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel die erg goed mee dachten. Heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt. Tegen schappelijke prijzen konden ze de was doen en een transfer regelen. Kamer was heel netjes en had een airco en ventilator. Omdat het onze huwelijksreis was hadden ze versiering aangebracht op de kamer, erg attent! We zijn 1 dag als daggast naar Amaya Beach Resort geweest (inclucief gebruik zwembad, strand, bedjes, handdoek, welkomstdrankje, hele uitgebreide lunch en einde middags snacks met koffie/thee) wat we een aanrader vonden.

Gordijnen lieten 's ochtends erg veel licht door (niet verduisterend) en temperatuur douche instellen was niet/nauwelijks mogelijk (en regendouche werkte niet).

Sehr nettes Personal. Die Unterkunft hat eine sehr gut Lage am Strand.

Vom Zimmer hatten wir einen schönen Blick aufs Meer. Die Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und habe uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Zudem ein sehr schönes Ambiente, sehr sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Was man hier wissen muss; es ist sehr naturbelassen hier d.h. es gibt ein paar schöne Restaurants, ist aber sonst sehr ruhig hier. Wenn man einfach nur chillen will, ist es aber perfekt!

L'hôtel est bien situé à deux pas de la plage, idéal pour profiter du lever de soleil. La chambre est très bien, confortable, au calme avec tout le nécessaire. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et très complet. Mention spéciale pour la gentillesse du personnel au petit soin et toujours souriant. La moyenne au Sri Lanka est déjà haute mais là on atteint le summum Un vrai coup de coeur ♥️.

Man ist schnell bei den beiden Stränden, wobei kaum Touris am Strand lagen. Es ist sehr ruhig, kaum touristisch, eher Locals die dort zum Baden hin fahren. Frühstück super gut!!! Toast, Kuchen, Omelette, Jogurt, frisches Obst, Kaffee & Tee! Sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber!

Gab leider keine Beach Handtücher. Abendessen wurde nicht angeboten. Essen gehen daher in einer der wenigen Lokale oder einem anderen Hotel. Man merkt, dass der Ort erst noch im Aufbau ist.

The owner and the workers are really nice and helpful and the hotel is located few minutes walking from Kalkudah beach. You can also easily reach Passikudah beach by foot. I highly recommend staying here!

Stanza stupenda con soppalco e ampi spazi, pulita e curata e con vista mare. Posizione vicinissima a Kalkudah Beach e a Pasikudah Beach (15 min a piedi). Staff disponibile e colazione ottima, forse la migliore di tutto il nostro viaggio in Sri Lanka.

Sympatyczny hotelik z bardzo miła obsługą. Mieliśmy dwa oddzielne pokoje (rodzina 2+2). Pokoje duże, z szafą na ubrania co wcale nie jest tak częste. Śniadania bardzo obfite, obsługa zawsze pytała dzień wcześniej co sobie życzymy na kolejne śniadanie. Z pokoju widok na plażę i ocean, widok troszkę psuła zawieszona siatka ale zapewne to ochrona przed zwierzętami których wyjątkowo tu faktycznie nie trzeba bo się obawiać w pokoju. Do plaży Kalkudah 2-3 minuty drogi piechotą. Bywało że byliśmy sami na plaży. Do plaży w Passikudah 15 min piechotą, tu więcej ludzi ale wciąż nie ma tłumów, ocean spokojniejszy, woda lazurowa. To hotel idealny na odpoczynek, w odległości 5-15 minut knajpki gdzie można zjeść pyszne owoce morza ale nie tylko. Ogród nie jest duży ale teren jest zadbany, codziennie sprzątany, widać że dla właściciela ma to znaczenie. Polecamy serdecznie ❤️

Staff were very friendly and the location was great - right next to the beach and with a short stroll to Pasikuda beach as well.

No water pressure in the shower and cold water. They tried to fix it but didn’t get much better.

The location of the hotel on the Kalkudah beach was great. We really liked the beach and felt safe swimming there. Kalkudah is so much quieter than Pasikuda, which gets extremely busy with the locals, especially in the late afternoon. Our room was large and the bathroom was adequate. We had plenty of storage space and we got everything we needed from Nishanta, who kindly provided us with an airer for our balcony and a kettle for our room. The balcony had a sea view and it was a pleasant place to relax and watch the cows walking along the beach, and the goats grazing in the garden. The breakfasts were good and they were able to provide me with an alternative to bread and rice. It was easy to rent a scooter at Nature's Huts which is near by. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and it was an excellent value for money.

The balcony was shared with the adjacent room. We were very lucky to have great neighbours, but potentially, it could be an issue. WiFi was generally good, but a bit slow in the evening.

Hôtel bien tenu à 3 min d’une belle plage où l’eau est très bonne. Les chambres sont confortables avec clim, la SDB est bien avec produits de toilette. Le petit déjeuner pris sur la terrasse était bien et copieux, le même les 2 matins. Ils ne proposent pas les autres repas, il y a un snack bar sur la plage et des resto à 5 min à pied. Le personnel est sympa et peuvent proposer un service de nettoyage du linge. Il y a une plage plus vivante à 15 min à pied qui donne sur la baie.

Un problème de clim qd on est arrivé, les plombs sautaient sans cesse mais ils ont réparé qd nous sommes allés à la plage.

Établissement propre, grande chambre, belle salle de bain, bonne insonorisation et très bon petit déjeuner. Accueil de qualité, propriétaire charmant et disponible.

La guesthouse est proche d’une plage sans charme, non exploitée avec des bouses de vache. L’emplacement sur Booking est mensonger, le logement est bien plus au sud qu’indiqué. Peu d’options de restauration à proximité.
