The property was modern and beautiful - with a perfect view of the nature surrounding the area. The hotel was secluded so it was peaceful and quiet with no city pollution smell. The hotel was comfortable and it really felt a home staying there.

Да и в целом завтрак на любителя)) но увидев, что стою в замешательстве, предложили пожарить яйца)) И в целом очень хорошие люди)) Дали карты, проложили и нарисовали на этих картах маршрут, отвезли в парк. На все просьбы реагировали мгновенно.

Excelente lugar para hospedarte, muy conveniente su ubicación para la entrada al parque forestal por la puerta sur,la habitación es exactamente como muestran las fotos, todo estaba nuevo y impecable, la vista es espectacular hacia las montañas, el personal es muy cálido y amable, apestar de la barrera del idioma, nuestra comunicación fue fluida con el uso de los traductores modernos, siempre se mostraron atentos a nuestras necesidades, nos ayudaron a guardar nuestras maletas y así poder disfrutar todo el día del parque sin preocupaciones, el desayuno estuvo bien para nosotros, recomiendo mucho este lugar si quieres tener una experiencia más local, definitivamente volvería !! Saludos a todos y que Dios los bendiga mucho.

A lovely room for couples with a beautiful mountain view. The staff was very helpful. They assisted us in organizing everything, showed us different routes, and even arranged both the taxi and the payments for the national park. Regarding the heating issue that some have mentioned, our room was very warm, and we didn’t experience any problems. The only place where you might feel a bit cold is at the reception, but that’s not really an issue.

We personally had no problems, but I believe the mattress was quite firm. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is an ideal place to stay. However, if you prefer going out, you might want to explore the two nearby towns (Of course, the taxi is inexpensive, so that’s not really a problem either).

It was very cold in Zhangjiajie. I loved the bed warmers. We slept well because of it. The owner also brought us to the park in her car. The breakfast was substantial and tasty. The view from our room is the best thing during our stay.

The room was pretty and comfortable.

No one spoke a word of English which made everything really hard. There were roosters right outside our window that started screaming nonstop since 4 am. Breakfast had very limited options, only bread and noodles. Hot water took ages to come out. It is located far up the mountain with nothing nearby

We rented a room at the end of November - we liked everything except the cold. It seems this option is for a more summer and warmer holiday. The hostess is very kind and good, the breakfasts are simple but delicious. Thank you!

Everything was perfect!

The hotel was the cherry on top of our holiday. The hotel was known before as Yueshanju Hostel. And the view from our room was magnificent. The owners /staff don't speak English but get by with their portable translator. They arranged our airport transfers and the tickets to all the 3 major attractions for $170 total per person (a great discount) .

We had a wonderful stay. The view from the bedroom is amazing. The staff are very helpful and lovely. They use a translator for easy communication. They offer a free transfer to the South ticket station. Breakfast was great. Rice, dumplings, toast, vegetables. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Amazing views, nicely decorated rooms and delicious meals. We had a great one night stay at Mount View Cottage while visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The family running the hotel was welcoming and with the use of the translator communication was no issue. They provided us with a map for the park, which was a life saver 😅 On our day of departure they also offered a free lift to the south entrance. Everything was great, highly recommended.

Everything was perfect. Location is absolutely gorgeous very close to the National Park. Staff is extremely helpful and kind and they also offer a range of services if you need. Delicious breakfast is served also. Would definitely recommend as this was the full experience.

Looking for a genuine Chinese rural location small hotel experience? It is located at the very end of a ~1.5 km road (Xiejiayu) up the hill from the village where the National Forest Park Ticket Station entrance to Zhangjiajie is located. The location is a bit confusing, I haven't been able to work out the name of the small village, but turn left at the bottom of Xiejiayu Rd where it meets the main village road and you are right at the National Forest Park entrance. This is a very quiet entrance to the park where you can walk the Golden Whip stream path (highly recommended) or take buses to cablecars to Huangshi mountain or up to Yangjiajie (not Yuanjiajie) which is at the western edge of the busy main area at the top of the park. The no-nonsense proprieter will sort you out with Park tickets and advise on itineraries in the park through her interpreter machine. She will arrange pick-up and drop-off car for you to airport or train-station which is reasonably priced. She kindly gave us a breakfast package when we had to leave early the next day. The view from the hotel is quite impressive, the rooms are simple but comfortable, and home-made food is available to be cooked anytime. The breakfast was traditional but nice. You will get a real feel for the lifestyle in more village-type China locations. Transport to the park and elsewhere you need to use Didi which worked well and was inexpensive. First day the host recommended we enter the park at Zimugang Entrance where bus took us to the Bailong elevator and up to the tops. We then did the circuit at the top and down the cablecar at Tianzi Mountain to Wulingyan entrance. This worked well and we got a real idea of the park which can be quite confusing until you have been there and understand how it is laid out. You could also get a Didi to the Tianmen Mountain lthough the entrance to this is back in Zhangjiajie city. The park scenery is out of this world amazing.

Coffee for breakfast would be a wlecome addition.

Nice hotel in a remote location. Also, the grandma will prepare delicious food. The reception helped us in advance with the tickets to the NP and glass bridges. She gave advice on what to do.

Unfortunately below our window there were ongoing constructions from early in the morning. Therefore, we would wake very early every morning. It would have been nice if we were informed on this so we would have been able to bring earplugs. Also, the cleaning of the shower could be much better.

Good Mountain View

1.Noise. It was like sleeping inside a child’s playground. Until midnight there were kids playing outside the room, and above us. Slamming doors, moving furniture. 2.Room was very basic, not like the photos , you simply paying for the view. The shower was somewhat mouldy looking. 3. The foreigner service isn't functioning well, and it charges too much for its services.

We had a really nice stay at the Mountain View Cottage. Staff does not speak English, but we had no issues communicating with translation tools. They were extremely helpful and accommodating during our stay.

One tip: if you are looking to coordinate transport from the airport to the hotel and can use didi, I would do this instead of having the hotel do it for you. They charged us around $25 for a trip that would have been less a fraction of that on didi.

They helped literally with everything they have English speaking staff even if they are not around they have a translator machine which works perfect. The staff and the owner lady booked all our tours for us which was super helpful.

Only the location was a bit far from everything but im not complaining because the staff arranged cars for us with drivers.

The property was super nice, has an outstanding view on the mountain, the owner and the staff was very helpfull and kindly. They also help us book our activities tickets. Would recommend everyone.

Staff: Two of the staff members are great, but the owner is not very pleasant—always angry at the staff and constantly trying to sell additional services (pickup service, tickets to the mountain, etc.). Location: The location is somewhat inconvenient, being far from the most popular entrances. This hotel is close to the first gate but distant from the main attractions. Ambience: If you're looking for a relaxing, outdoorsy area, be aware that this place is quite remote and has a lot of garbage burning, which can be unpleasant. There are also plenty of mosquitoes, so be sure to protect yourself. Price: The hotel has listings in both English and Mandarin. I booked through the English listing and paid about 30% more :(

The staff don't speak English but they are very helpful. They offer you tour recommendation for your stay and tell you what should be done, also drive us to Zhangjiajie National Forest. Room is clean and it has such amazing views with tea table and bamboo seats. Highly recommend. Splendid

The hotel doesn't have an elevator so you have to carry stuff up. Also, when we first enter the room, the toilet's floor is still wet.

Breakfast was amazing, with some local pickles and vegetarian options. Owner was very cooperative. She had translator to help guests communicate and she was pro in getting food from outside, which was not available at Hotel. Overall, very good experience, no reason to complaint.

Zhiangjijie is a beautiful place. Hotel Property is also good. Hotel Owner was very cooperative. The best part was, we could get lot of vegetarian items. So the breakfast was also very satiating.

Located near Zhangjiajie National Park but quite far from the city. You are dependent on the hotel for transportation and meals as there is nothing near. The hotel is very nice with beautiful views and feels as if in a rural setting. The hostess is charming and helpful. She arranged everything for us - transportation, guide and all the tour tickets etc. We were able to cram everything into two days because of her planning. Otherwise you need about 4 days to visit the area.

Food was not good and expensive by Chinese standards. The preparations were very salty. Normally one doesn't comment on the salt content but its important to mention. Breakfast was included and so-so.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is based in a tiny village not much to do besides the park. But it’s beautiful and really quiet.

The toilet situation (general problem in China) just isn’t for me.

Very nice views of the mountains. Good showers. Lovely home cooked food at breakfast and in the evenings.

Air conditioning was smelly. Dogs and chickens very noisy throughout the night making it difficult to sleep. Would have liked more choice at breakfast (fruit and yoghurt etc).

Loved the Host of the hotel - super efficient and helpful to plan the day events and organize the tickets (as far as we were aware no extra costs). Even drove us personally to the entrance of the Park (the hotel is close) as well as the bus stop. She carried a translator device which was incredibly convenient- and it was overall a lovely experience. We were very comfortable in our room and breakfast was included. (Keep in mind you’re in China, so this is not western breakfast. They added some white toast and jelly to make it feel more western, but expect dumplings, fried rice, etc).

The hotel is small, but it's cozy and comfortable. If you're on the higher floors, you'll love the view. We stayed on the fourth floor and enjoyed seeing the mountains. The food is good, and the staff helped us get tickets to Zhanjiajie Park and drove us there.

The rooms are basic. They only gave us one small bottle of water each, and the kitchen closes early. We couldn't get any water in the evening, and they only gave us half a roll of toilet paper, which ran out quickly.

Great location with an excellent view. Only 2 min drive to the South Gate (the owner drove us to the gate). Very friendly and helpful staff, they helped us with booking all the tickets, activities etc. Home made breakfast (included in price) and dinner if you want to (¥56 for two). Staff also helped us with the laundry (¥15).

Beautiful place with a gorgeous view on the mountains. Staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. They booked us tickets for the National Forest Park and the glass bridge.

Beware: you can’t enter the national forest park through the South Gate (which is the closest to the hotel). You have to take a taxi to the East Gate.

The room was comfy and clean. The lady owner was very helpful to guide us through the planning for the national park visitation. She also helped us to purchase the 4 days shuttle bus and entrance ticket. Since the hotel location was far from the gate entrance to the park. She helped to shuttle us to the bus station so that we could get the bus to the gate entrance.

Except for the location..other than this, everything is good. My advice is to stay 2 nights at Zhangjiajie Scenic Area for 2 nights and one night at the hotel near Tienmen Mountain. That will help to cut down all the travelling and also the travelling expenses. Please also note that those buses are running between the entrance gates at the parks stop at 6 pm. After that, to get back to the hotel, you need to take a cab, which is costly.

Hotel has nice views of the mountains, room is generally large and comfortable. Hotel is situated at side of mountain, so no amenities within walking distance.

The breadfast items were limited and service is average. As the owner has no helper in the front desk, service attitude seems abrupt. Hotel prices are generally on the high side.

We stayed for three nights. It was colder than we expected but the room was warm and the bed had a heater. We were rain drenched on our first day while hiking. The bed warmer was really helpful. We also used their transport services numerous times, it was quite comfy. Homemade food was the best.

Staying at Mount View Cottage was the highlight of our trip! The room was beautiful and the host made our visit easy and memorable. The hotel is 2 min from the Zhangjiajie National Forest entry & a free drop off is provided. The host booked all our tickets, helped us plan our walks and organised all transportation (including to and from train station). Tianmen Mountain is accessible through a bus near the hotel. Meals cooked by local women are available for a reasonable price at the accommodation. We looked forward to dinner every night because it was so tasty. My wife is Chinese and says the meals taste like delicious home cooking. Maybe there are cheaper ways to visit Zhangjiajie, but this is the best way. Thank you so much for a great trip!

Very beautiful boutique hotel. The owner was AMAZING without her tips we would have ended up at the main viewing points in the middle of the biggest crowd (on a saturday). The heated beds were so cozy! Kettle in the room to make tea or coffee if you bring some and the enjoy the stunning views from the room. Highly recommend.

30min walk from the village with restaurants and shops (and park entrance), but it’s a quick and cheap didi ride! If you travel with a friend, be aware the bathrooms are milky glass doors may not give the highest level of privacy but it was ok.

The room was big and clean with a brilliant large window view of the mountain. Rooftop terrace views are even better. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially considering we are English speaking and have limited mandarin. They went above and beyond, including dropping us at the national park. The food at the restaurant was also really good which was nice as it is tucked a little away from other options.

We found it a little challenging to get around as it is closer to the national park but not as close to some other attractions or Zhangjiajie main town. They were very helpful in organising us transport and once we worked out how to use didi on alipay it made things a lot easier for us.

Great location, surrounded by breathtaking nature in close proximity to one of the entrances to the national park. Staff were extremely helpful, professional and nice. They took care of booking the different activities and arranged all transportation needed in an extremely efficient way. I loved my room, beautiful, cozy and with an amazing view. The lady boss gave us free upgrade to a big room with great mountain view and the bed comes with heated blanket which is a plus..the breakfast is simple but good enough for us as the aunty cooked extra to our request which is not in their menu ...we paid for 1 delicious dinner there and is worth every penny.... yummy!

The owner was very helpful during our stay, she picked us up from train station as well as dropping us off to the park every day. Bed was large and very comfortable. Delicious noodles for breakfast.

Unfortunately it's not the best choice for off peak stays, the room was extremely cold (bed warmer helped, but not nearly enough). No options around for dinner.

Homecooked meals are very tasty! Noodles soup for breakfast was delicious The room was really comfortable, and the hotel is immersed in the mountains, very close to the south gate of the National Park (they provide free transportation to it)

Very cold room in winter. No way to warm it up, +7-10C impossible to use bathtub although I paid extra to have it. Had to wait 20min for hot water in the shower. The neighbours don't care about tourists and start noisy wood cutting and other works at 7 in the morning, impossible to sleep well. The location is isolated, long way to all park entrances and any restaurants, the view was not worth it for me.

The staff was so helping before my arrival that I took another night, this hotel is also one of the only ones that has card readers. Really appreciated

The staff was exceptionally helpful and in particular Carol who helped me a lot she spent a lot of time to help me to plan my trip before my arrival ( call, message) the hotel booked me ticket private car for long distance with correct price, they sent someone pickup me to the airport, and everything is transparent they announce price before each action. The location is perfect you have chicken and dogs in the neighborhood that’s the perfect country side experience that I was looking for. You can go to the nation forest park by walking 20min of walk or they can drop you in the front. The food is so excellent I went to other restaurants but that was less tasty than food here. To conclude it was the best experience of my life and I was very impressed by the staff kindness
