Leaside Executive Apartments

The apartment was clean with a nice view off the back balcony. Close to the downtown area.

Les directions n’étaient pas claires ce qui a créé un peu de confusion à notre arrivée en pleine nuit. J’aurais préféré avoir les coordonnées exactes avant d’arriver, plutôt que de devoir me déplacer une rue plus loin du manoir principal.

The beds were so comfy and is a good location.

Oh my!!!! I could not get in for almost 24hrs. They promised to follow up but did not. Once finally in I noticed the TV didn't work. I was promised it would be fixed. The "handy person" was not able to fix it which no one told me and then locked me out of my apartment to where the master key at 1am didn't work. I was promised someone would fix the TV, which was never done. And repeatedly I asked at the hotel and when speaking to staff to have the manager call me and that never happened. It really is too bad because so much was good.

Breakfast was not included with our apartment. It was relatively close to downtown but we did have to drive and parking downtown is a nightmare. The apartment was spacious and the laundry facilities were great. The three bedrooms were a good size with lots of living area.

One of our party was 77 years old, very tall and has had knee surgery. Two late 60's and a late 40 year old. We all found the three fights of stairs to get to our apartment many times a day very challenging. The bathroom with the slanted roof line in the shower was not well received by our tall man. Our toilet paper, very thin, was never replenished. We had the roll that was there when we got there and one extra. We were there for 9 days! Luckily our kids across town had an abundance, so we got some of theirs. No hand soap or staples were provided. The salt shaker had been emptied and pepper were the old things supplied. Our cable box and batteries in the remote had disappeared so they brought us a new box the next day. Our coffee maker didn't work but they brought us a brand new one. We had to buy our own laundry detergent, dryer sheets, coffee and fixings. The wind whipped through the windows and one screen had a 5" hole in it. It got quite cool while we were there and the heat only marginally heated the apartment. Don't let the picture on the website fool you. We were sent to the building down the road at a busy intersection. It was a gorgeous old house in its day but has not been kept up, at least in our apartment.

The location was great.

The facility needed to be updated. The bed was not very comfortable and it was noisy. Light bulbs needed changing and the bathroom door would not close.

Lions out front are very cool! The building is architecturally interesting. Nice veranda. Spacious inside. Good kitchen layout. Good location.

Furniture was ratty, worn, old. On a hot day bugs came out of the kitchen floor board cracks. Dishwasher didn’t work. Bathroom fan didn’t work.

The apartment's size is very good.

Check-in should be more convenient.

It was clean.

There was only a couch in the living room so two people always had to sit on the hard kitchen chairs. There was no airconditioning in the apartment.

When we first arrived we were given an apartment with one bedroom instead of one with 2 bedrooms and a hide a bed. The staff was able to quickly find a different apartment with what we needed. The location was excellent and the rooms a good size

The hide a bed was in poor shape with springs sticking out so that we could not use it. We knew in advance there was no air conditioning. Although there were fans provided, some of the windows could not be opened so it was hard to cool the apartment

Was not offered breakfast. Good location- very comfortable and laid back

There was virtually no TV service- could only get 2 channels- TSN and CityTV. No breakfast. Nobody checked in on the room in the week we were there to replenish towels or TP. Staff didn't always seem to know what was going on when we had question.

The accommodation location was changed just before check-in. The new location was not suitable at all. It was a basement apartment further out of town near the airport. Our travel plans were made around having an apartment closer to downtown. Not at all, but we were expecting. The staff at Leaside apartments were unable to explain why our accommodation was changed at the last minute. They insisted it was booking.com that made the change. My message to booking.com through their website bounced back two days later.I am not sure who is at fault but I will not be dealing with Leaside apartments nor booking.com again.

Lack of transparency and ability to provide the accommodation that I had reserved

The apartment was perfect for what we needed. Comfortable and has just about everything you would need .

So the mix up check in was a little upsetting. I received instructions which I followed and that has us at the wrong location on the other side of town . Once we got a hold of someone at that location she was super helpful and helped us get on our way to the correct location and the proper codes to get in .

We stayed in the property next door which was self catering. Very well put together. Safe and comfortable

The TV is a bit small for the size of the living room and there were both volume and picture clarity issues

Quiet

The most disturbing was there is a room that leads to the “furnace, hot water and other items” which wasn’t and unable to lock. That room leads outside and it, too, wasn’t locked. So essentially, someone could enter our suite through both doors.

Large and spacious, had everything I needed and was convenient

Towels were stained and there were a disgusting amount of flies. The person in the apartment above was extremely noisy through the evening and night that I was woken up with ear plugs in.

No air conditioning. Only one fan available.TV didn't work . Difficult to open the windows and keep them open. Some dishes were put away dirty. No shampoo or conditioner, just body lotion. We weren't able to check in on the 17th because our vehicle broke down. No reimbursement provided and we had to book a night in another hotel.

Location and vibe of the apartment was great.

Check-in was hard. Door code to main location did not work. Instructions on EXACTLY how to enter door code would be useful.

It was a good location and the rooms were a good size.

No screens on the windows so the rooms had no airflow. Sink and tub were slow draining. Taps dripping.

On line said b&b. Bed and breakfast.

What breakfast? Parking not available on arrival. Living room furniture old and uncomfortable.

Not walking distance to downtown. People outside our window smoking and talking all hours of the day . Washing machines close to our room when people doing laundry 5:30 am woke us

Property was clean, lots of room, good location

Luckily we had one fan, but there are no air conditioning, ceiling fans, or screens on the windows that you could open them, very hot & uncomfortable trying to sleep

Beds were good. Traffic noise terrible. Did not have kitchen stocked for 4 people, took 2 days to get coffee filters. Hot. Had to ask for fans. Would not recommend this Sat on 2 roads. Too loud.

The location was great, beds were comfortable… enjoyed having a washer and dryer.

The door knob was broken, there were fruit flies, the air felt old and stuffy, the sofa was uncomfortable.

It was private and quiet

It was too hot, no air conditioning and only 1 window opened. Not clean, the floor was very dirty. Poor access and very limited parking, I had to park on the lawn for most of 1 day during my stay.

The location was central to everything. There was everything you needed in the kitchen. Loved having the dishwasher. I liked the original parts of the building it added charm. Beautiful island in the kitchen.

Too much furniture in the small space and the furniture was old and the couch looked like a cat has scratched it to bits. There was food on the kitchen floor and in the one bedroom. Hair in the sink and shower.

Location, suite with little kitchen was nice.

Communication could be better.. street number and units could be better marked. I had a couple try to get in the unit at 2 am. Turns out the lack of signs had them confused.. Little coffee in the room would have been nice. The door code should have been emailed to us, not left in the mailbox. Left us feeling less than secure.

Keys werent left out as instructions. Information I was given about keypad numbers and wifi codes were incorrect. Staff were helpful but management seemed poor

Monastery Hotel. Great location close to downtown.

When we arrived we were assigned to an apartment at a nearby location, different than the pictures we viewed when booking Midstream Manor. It was in poor condition and not suitable for a family of 4 for a month. The next morning the staff helped us get upgraded to a much better apartment at Monastery Hotel without an extra charge and also provided laundry service because the new place didn’t have access to a washer/dryer.

The location was great, an easy walk to downtown. There was lots of space. The beds were comfortable.

A lot of stairs! Air conditioner wasn’t big enough for the size of the apartment. There was always a lot of water on the floor after showering, not sure where it was coming from.

No coffee/tea. Good location.

Management. Facilities, too expensive for the price paid.

The unit was nice, it had everything that I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful, but I didn't need to interact with them much at all! Check in and out were seamless and the instructions for how to access the unit were detailed and very helpful. The area was *beautiful* with lots of big trees and beautiful houses.

It would've been nice if it had coffee and filters to use with the coffee maker. There was some noise in the hallway and outside early in the morning and late at night, so if someone was a light sleeper that would be problematic. The window also led right onto the parking lot and since it is a basement apartment I wasn't comfortable leaving the blinds open because people would see directly into the unit. The location was challenging because I didn't have a car so it wasn't the easiest to get downtown.
