Altes Haus eigentlich gut erhalten, aber Badezimmer und Fenster teilweise Böden sind ziemlich renovierungsbedürftig. Zimmer viel kleiner als angegeben

The breakfast was excellent on both days I stayed the rooms were large and very comfortable parking was spacious and free the staff were very friendly and helpful

There was nothing I didn't like

Immediately on arrival, the smell of freshly baked carrot muffins was wafting through the air. The host offered all three of us one as soon as we arrived. The manor is absolutely beautiful, the staff are so attentive and friendly, there is plenty of room to parl. The studio apartment is large and fit the 3 of us very comfortably. The breakfast the next morning was an absolute treat with all the other guests. Would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Nothing -this place was wonderful

Had a lovely time at Leaside Manor. The bed was very comfortable, the soaker tub was great to use after a day of walking around. The breakfast was very good and the location was just a bit too far to walk home from George St, but Uber is only a $10.00 ride away, but conveniently located when going out to see other sights. I would definitely recommend this B & B to my friends.

The Breakfast was excellent The location was very good close to St Johns downtown. The parking was off street and safe.

Staff were very accommodating. We needed to park our car quite early and then not check in until quite late becaue of a wedding, but the staff made it super easy and stress free.

We unfortunately just missed breakfast. Kind of wish that it was served until 10 so we could have taken full advantage (we are parents who were taking advantage of the sleep-in)!

Breakfast was great. Expected a continental breakfast and got an omelette, toast, fruit, juice, muffin, coffee. This is a lovelyl old manor house beautifully appointed. Staff was very pleasant

Getting to the parking and then to the front door was a little tricky. This was not senior friendly if you have hip, knee or back problems. Otherwise it is okay.

Spacious suite with everything we need. Victorian decor. Quaint and cozy manor. Very friendly reception. Nicky at the reception was so welcoming and accommodating.

A bit difficult to return to the manor at night after dinner because it is dark around. No lights. We passed the place a couple of times.

The breakfasts were varied, healthy, hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and professional. The bathroom was luxurious in the Port Royal Suite.

This facility is a converted heritage home. It is important to know that the standard "queen room" might feel inadequate. Book one of the Deluxe Queen Rooms ... you definitely won't be disappointed.

Beautiful property and well kept

The air conditioner was a bit noisy

It was a very cute loft apartment with an attractive bathroom, very professional staff, and nice breakfast food with free breakfast room service.

The suite we had accommodates three people but it would be much more comfortable just with two. The third person sleeps on a pullout couch in the living/kitchen space and there isn't a huge sense of privacy since it's an open layout with the loft bed up top and the couch below.

Breakfast was decent - choice of cereals, small bowl of fresh chopped fruit and muffins. Cooked food(pancakes and bacon) were available too.

Very old-fashioned decor and fittings in room. Narrow stairs to negotiate with luggage. Numerous exterior stairs from carpark (again, difficult with luggage). No staff onsite after 9pm.

Great overnighter close to CBD

We loved the hot breakfasts. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was a lovely neighbourhood. It was a 25 minute walk to George Street.

The bed could be a little more comfortable. There should be extra blankets for the pull out couch which was definitely uncomfortable. It would be nice if the TV had streaming capabilities.

The breakfast was really great, different every morning, and having breakfast with other guests made it a bit like a family gathering around a big table, really enjoyed it.

Es handelt sich um eine wunderschöne Unterkunft im alten Stil. Das Frühstück wurde an einer großen Tafel serviert und man konnte sich sehr gut mit den anderen Gästen unterhalten! Frühstück am Zimmer wäre auch möglich gewesen. Das Wohnviertel ist sehr hübsch mit vielen Gärten und großen Bäumen.

Friendly and efficient desk staff present on B&B premises.

-tired landscaping, rear wooden steps rotting with loose traction strips, no walkway to front from parking, narrow driveway access, no visible sign or house number. “ Placentia” room quite small, low angled ceilings and stuffy.. only one small operable window. Thin walls. Breakfast included no eggs and ends extremely early at 9:30am… rushed. Water takes quite a while to heat up then becomes scalding hot! Portable AC unit buttons worn out. No full curtains on windows to block out light. Paint job is well done.

I loved how clean it was. When I laid down for the night I could snell how fresh the sheets were. It was so relaxing.

Great location to explore the St. John’s area. The place was beautiful, clean and better than expected. Breakfast was lovely. Staff was very friendly.

Everything. The manor was a 100+ year old B&B with charm. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was as well.

Breakfast was quite good, and different each day. It was good to chat with the other guests each morning. The room was spacious and comfortable.

We never met the hosts, though the staff on duty was friendly and pleasant. There was no private shower in the room. It was just a jaccuzi with a shower curtain. So one of us went to the common area to sit while the other one took the shower and dressed! Plus the tub was slippery. Not good for older folks. A grab bar would be important.

The room was next to the dining room so noisy in the morning. Unfortunately we had someone banging on the front door at 4am continuously for 10 minutes.

The property was charmingly quaint, and extreme comfortable. We appreciated the common areas within the building as well as outside.

Our room had a shower within a jacuzzi tub. It was awkward to get in and out of the shower, particularly with knee challenges.

The breakfast was very good.

We had no room up keep during the five days.

Everything was as lovely as every other time we’ve stayed here, great staff, great value, beautiful rooms.

The bed in the suite we stayed in is in need of a mattress change, it was sunken on one side which made sleeping difficult. Otherwise it was a very nice stay.

Good location

The standard room was substandard. We stayed in the deluxe room 3 days earlier, and at a cheaper rate than what I was charged for the standard room.

We loved the rooms (comfortable beds, big tubs, and separate shower) in this old mansion and also the fantastic breakfast experience. We enjoyed the eggs, Benny, as well as many other breakfast options, while visiting with the other guests around a huge dining table. The Manor is a short walk from Water St downtown and offers lots of parking. Leaside Manor is a special place, and we will try to stay there again next time we're in St John's. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Location was great. Breakfast was great. Staff was great, they really tried to make things right.

Bed was too soft. TV was ok, couldn't turn off described video. The remote couldn't turn the TV on or off or raise and lower the volume.

We really liked the location and room. The staff we encountered were great.

There was no coffee maker in our room and we are early risers. If there is a kitchen for guests it wasn't made clear. Also, guest laundry is "advertised" but it was unavailable. We are traveling from British Columbia and laundry was really needed.

The staff is excellent and they accommodated several of our unique requests and dietary restrictions.

Bathroom in our room was weird with tub located under sloped attic ceiling IN THE bedroom.Also glass shower enclosure in bedroom also.Maybe this was a honeymoon suite😏

The hold of $350 is a little extreme. The shower is not good and there was a bright light just outside the bedroom window all night.

No real complaints. The breakfast was included and did not cost extra and tasted good, but even so it would have been better if we had a better selection. There was only 1 meal option presented to us when we asked, the photos on the app lead us to believe there would be a greater menu. But no real complaints.

We unfortunately didn’t have hot water for our whole stay :( we booked the Parker room specifically for the amazing jacuzzi for our anniversary and we couldn’t use it, we couldn’t even take a shower before we left in the morning so we were pretty disappointed

Location and rate.

Not much of not liking, the house is a bit old, so just that. But it's well maintained.

Another excellent stay at Leaside Manor! The unit was very clean and quiet. It is very spacious and had everything you would need if you wanted to do your own cooking. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, an omelet with toast, tea/coffee, yogurt and fresh fruit. Lovely stay!

Staff was excellent. They even prepared breakfast for us a little early as we had a tight schedule. And breakfast was delicious.

The only negative was that the room was somewhat small and cramped.

Great location and within walking distance of many sites. Very spacious suites. Better than just a hotel room.

This is one of the most elegant and beautiful BnBs I have ever stayed in. The staff are pleasant, the rooms are gorgeous and the breakfast is lovely. Kudos to the whole Leaside staff.
