Stayed 2 nights, no cleaners cleaned, made bed, changed towels or restocked coffee.

We loved the setting, the friendly staff, the food, the drinks. Everything!!!

Accommodation a bit basic

Eight of us stayed over night on our way to a family wedding. When we arrived the place was so busy but the staff went out of their way to check us in and show us to our rooms, which were amazing. The bar was cosy and welcoming and the food was amazing. Very impressed with Riverbank and its staff are a credit to the place. Would highly recommend.

It was very busy in the bar when we arrived and we didnt know how or where to check in. The staff were really helpful in sorting us out (might be worth letting your guests know to check in at the bar)

Riverbank County Pub and restaurant sits in the middle of beautiful countryside, so satnav is important to find it. It’s a lovely stone build establishment with great parking. However it’s biggest asset in my opinion is it’s staff. We were welcomed and shown to our room by Grace who was so pleasant and accommodating it was the icing on the cake. The staff at dinner and breakfast were excellent too.

Just needed a decent hairdryer in our bedroom.

Le bruit le soir, avec les nombreuses voitures qui font crisser le gravier. Le Wi-Fi instable, voire inexistant, dans une région où le réseau est lui aussi limité.

Breakfast service was excellent, hence the top "Smiley" for "Staff". The location is very good but in my opinion only when the in-house bar and restaurant is open otherwise one best be prepared to fast, bring a picnic or travel.

Lovely comfortable property. Food in restaurant was excellent and some of the best we had travelling the UK and Ireland for 6 weeks. Staff were lovely.

Staff were lovely and the suite was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was very nice.

One serious design flaw. The door into the bedroom was glass and there was a big bright Exit sign in the hallway beside the bathroom door. Couldn't sleep with it until I managed to drape the throw from the bed over the glass door! Definitely a case of form over function!

Beautiful place to stay right near family while we visited. The food was good we ate here both nights. Slept well no noise at night & comfortable beds

Las habitaciones eran amplias y las camas eran confortables. Se agradecen detalles como agua de cortesía y los productos para baño. El desayuno fue genial y creo que tuvo el mejor Porridge de nuestra estancia. y nos encantó el lugar habilitado para el desayuno. Pudimos aparcar sin problemas y el entorno era muy tranquilo.

El check-in o entrada fue algo confuso al coincidir con el restaurante. Las habitaciones estaban repartidas en la primera planta y no había ascensor pero para nosotros no fe un problema. En una de las 4 habitaciones que cogimos había un problema de ruido en el baño al encender la luz ya que se encendía el extractor y podía molestar a otras habitaciones. No nos gustó que no hubiera tapón en el desagüe del lavabo y la superficie de las mesas de la habitación necesitaban un repaso de pintura. El pub sirve cenas pero para nosotros no fue un problema y no se escuchaba ruido.

Booked for a Monday evening but the restaurant is not open on a Monday nor is the bar open. Doubtless my fault for not reading the small print when booking. Otherwise, faultless.

The staff, as previous reviews state, are exceptional. Friendly, efficient, welcoming, warm; just lovely! The food was great - both for dinner and breakfast (we loved the Guinness bread!). Beautiful setting, fantastic flowers in the garden, making it such a wonderful place to sit and relax with a drink. Just SO peaceful. Very reasonable prices in the bar and good wine selection. Very convenient for Carrickmacross and surrounding areas; lots of parking spaces available. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. The room was cool, despite the heatwave, and very clean.

We stayed in the deluxe suite but there was no mirror anywhere in the bedroom which made hair drying difficult. Nice tea and coffee in the room but no biscuits, and only two coffee pods. The shower was great but the bath towels were small. For this level, I'd prefer bath sheets. These are very small gripes and we loved our visit and would definitely stay again...but consideration of these areas would increase enjoyment of the stay for guests.

One thing that could improve the bedroom as the addition of a mirror. There was one mirror in the bathroom but you can't use a hairdryer there so one in the bedroom would be helpful.

Stunning property, and very welcoming hosts. The breakfast was exceptional and the pub was so so cute.

Pub was closed for dinner the night we were there (a Tuesday) which they did warn us about but we forgot! So just sad to have missed the opportunity to eat and drink there.

The setting was beautiful. The place itself was gorgeous, the bar and restaurant, the service and staff were spot on. The food - dinner was second to none, everything on the menu we had was excellent. Breakfast was very good. The bedroom was well appointed with everything you would need with a lovely view. Comfy nights sleep.

Would recommend a few things: A hook behind bathroom door for clothes/towel and decent toilet paper. Also everything at breakfast tasty bar bacon and tea which could do with a change up, but that was just our personal taste.

The room was really spacious, clean and well appointed. The location was rural and very peaceful. The duck meal that night was singly the best meal we have had since being in Ireland, (over 10 days) very friendly staff/owner. We stumbled onto this place but really it needs to be a stopover when you’re anywhere near Carrickmacross

Sehr gemütliches Pub an einem Bach mitten im Grünen, schön ruhige Lage. Sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal. Leckeres Abendessen im Pub wobei es sich lohnt einen Tisch zu reservieren. Frühstück abwechslungsreich und regional.

Leider war die Sicht von unserem Zimmer auf einen Innenhof mit Gastanks, wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist und nur zum Schlafen dort ist stört es nicht weiter. Andere Zimmer haben wahrscheinlich eine bessere Sicht.

We got a king suite and there was a neon exit light that you could see from the bed through a glass door. It made it very tough to get a good night sleep.

Staff were excellent, breakfast and dinner were very good.

En-suite bathroom door needs oiling as it squeaks and creeks all the time. When I had to get up in the night to use the bathroom the door creeks so loudly it woke the other person up.

The Riverbank was a quaint Inn that had the Irish charm we look for when travelling in Ireland. Breakfast was great and the pub was warm and welcoming in the evening. We reeally enjoyed our stay.

On arrival we were blown away by the ambuance of this fabulous B&B. The girls were so friendly and helpful and Declan was amazing! He informed us of different sites and landmarks around the area. Will definitely return!

When I had a shower, the drain was kinda blocked because the drain was clump of hair in the drain.
