Pauline was an excellent host
All perfect for a short stay in Carrickmacross.

Great location for our stay. Pauline was a very helpful host, thank you very much.
The accommodation at Rock House was situated very close to the town centre. The studio unit was excellent. Pauline was a very caring host and her response to all questions was very prompt. I would highly recommend this place to all future guests.
Everything! Very quaint and lovely!
There was no hairdryer available to use.
Easy check in and easy to find. Pauline was so friendly and the accommodations were just what you need in a stay. Comfy bed, Kettle, microwave, mini fridge stocked with a few itemsand a nice spot of bread were really appreciated. The room is a back house and was clean and quiet. The town is about 10 min walk or a few minutes by car. Would definitely stay here again :)
A lovely, quiet and comfortable space. Pauline, the host, is very welcoming and checks in to make sure all is going well. The breakfast of cereal and toast was exactly what I wanted. It is separate from the house and feels very private.
Self contain and quiet. You’ve got everything you need.

We arrived at property at. 14.50 nobody was in at first I thought it was a scam ,stood in the freezing cold for 10 minutes. Then we decided to ring the bell next door,a lady answered the door I asked was next house b&b ,she said yes Pauline ,I said nobody in she said that’s bad business. The owner arrived at 15.10 and said sorry I have been at work.she took us to an outhouse beside main house and took us in she showed us facilities and then said this is the continental breakfast ,I said is it not cooked breakfast, she said you haven’t read the small print. We have paid 60 euros far half a loaf 4 slices of wheaten bread bad of muesli pot of Aldi marmalade and milk. The owner kept turning of the heating as soon as we went out the place was freezing,my wife who had decided to come at the last minute had to go and chap the door and ask for the heating to be switched on it was shocking. Also your reviews are totally out of date there is no mention of continental breakfast. I had to buy a box of eggs to make a decent breakfast I was there for my aunts funeral it was disgraceful, she told us to leave when we refused to pay the other 30 euros for my wife’s breakfast we had no where to go .We have travelled all over the world and have never been treated like this she actually switched the heating of 2hours before we left I would actually like a full refund for this terrible experience.
Separate of the house and all good. Friendly people, good location

Convenient location. Host was very pleasant and welcoming. Room was very clean. Toast and cereal were great the next morning. Really enjoyed the stay.
The room was a little cool at night but extra blankets were available. Everything we needed.
Clean and warm, lovely host
All was good
Wonderful hosts. Extremely welcoming.
Nothing. Property was fine.
The property was clean and had everything you needed

Good location.
Everything was grand.
It was separate to the main property
It was self catering but sold as b&b breakfast was very poor no choice felt it was bad value for money.
It was cosy, not a far walk from the town, clean, hosts were lovely and didn’t bother us at all. Everything you need and
It is advertised as bed and breakfast and we thought it was a proper breakfast like a fry or something but it’s cereal and bread. Which is absolutely fine but I think clarifying that on the advert would be better. It may also be a southern thing but I’m from the north. It’s not even a bad point to make but I do feel advertising what the breakfast is would be that much better.
Loved my stay. I liked the fact the room was seperate to the main house so I could come and go without worrying about disturbing anyone. I was able to park on the driveway right next to the outhouse. Owner was very kind and allowed me to check in a little early so I could drop my bags off and continue my day. Owners were friendly and approachable. The room had everything I needed, beautiful modern en suite and kitchenette. Tv. Comfortable bed etc very pleasant stay. Good location for the town but lovely and quiet.

I loved the separate entrance and privacy afforded at this accommodation.
Nothing everything was great.
Friendly host who happily let us check in later than the usual time. Lovely self contained studio in a quiet area and just a short walk from town. The studio was nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast food was provided, milk, cereal, bread , marmalade and tea and coffee. Because you do your own breakfast, it was perfect for us because we wanted to make an early start the next morning, so we could have it as early as we wanted. Really happy with our stay here.
I liked the self-contained unit, and the fresh bread provided by the host was lovely. Pauline was extremely helpful and even gave me and my mum a lift to the bus stop.
Nothing
Very nice property with its own access so you can come and go as you please without feeling as though you are disturbing the main household. The room itself is very comfortable with a spacious bed/living area, en suite and kitchenette - perfect for a short stay. Pauline was lovely and very accommodating too. It’s a short walk to Carrickmacross Main Street so easy access to shops and restaurants.
Improvement- The quality of the bath towel is not good. very old. Breakfast - to improve the options like juice, pastry, etc. Coffee powder- Blocked/Hard. sachet is advisable. Wifi- No Wifi in the facility. Try to incorporate. Location: It is good. I highly recommend people travel by vehicle. use public transfort 10-15 min walk to the town center.
ambiance
The fact that it’s a private little apartment at the side of the house.
Nothing everything was very comfortable

I liked that it was separate from the main residence. More private.
My stay was excellent. Very comfortable and warm.
location was good
dont advertise full breakfast and supply a packet of cereal
Pauline went above and beyond for us when she heard that we had been let down badly with another booking on booking com. Even taxied us to our show and back. Best experience and will highly recommend.
Very clean, Pauline was exceptionally kind and everything was very nicely layed out and clear to understand. Very good to place to land after a long day!
It was clean and comfortable
Advertised as breakfast included we expected a full cooked breakfast but instead was told they only provided the basic cereal and brown bread in the studio

Wondeid rful host in Pauline. Great breakfast.
Comfortable room and friendly host
No cooked breakfast. Only coffee, no tea available. Bit disappointing for the price.
Very nice, quiet place, nicely decorated, with great breakfast, close to centre of the town. Pauline is very nice, communicative lady, ready to fullfill your requests :-) We felt very welcomed.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful
Pauline was a fantastic host. The room was perfect and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. It's just a short walk to the centre of Carrickmacross.
Pauline and Edward were great hosts. Very friendly and there was no curfew so they was no time constraint. I left a football jersey in my room and was walking down the road a good distance away after checking out and Edward drove down after me to return the jersey.
We had a very pleasant stay at Rock House. The beds are on par with any high end hotel in terms of comfort, it’s calm, clean and quiet and just a short but nice walk from Carrick town centre. The owners were absolutely great, friendly and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The breakfast was amazing too! I will definitely stay here again any time I’m visiting the area.
