We had bad experience with hot water the night we arrived and the following Morning, but it was fixed. The other thing that was really disturbing was the smell of the water, I don't know if it was the smell of seaweed or what but it was not nice...

I fell on the outside next to the pool and my leg got stuck. The wooden area needs attention. I have a swallon leg but otherwise everything was perfect.

I got hurt the front potch wooden floor is old. I fell inside and got my ankle hurt.

I liked the view of the dam

I didn’t like the fact that, we had to wash our own dishes. Through out, that never sat well with me we were there to rest and I understand it’s self catering but we could have stopped at ensuring the shared kitchen was clean for the next guest.

This place is a scam, its dirty, its mouldy, no hot water, damp, paint bubbling up from the walls, towels are torn, tv remote not working, blinds are broken, no milk for coffee, shower handle broken off, no towling rail, broken toilet seat, we ended up checking out the next morning. Could not get hold of the owner. Staff supplied us with a fake number. Asked booking.com for a refund. They too cannot contact the owner still waiting for feedback. We book this guest house because my sister is terminally ill. The people running this place that spoke to us could not care less. This is a scam. We lost R3900 due to this property!

The quietness was so peaceful and the security seems tight at the gate

The size of the unit and bathroom is very spacious. Electric blanket and heater made a huge difference over the cold days.

Just a couple of small things need some maintenance done, such as light bulbs that need replacing in bedroom and bathroom

The house smells strongly of cigarette smoke, making it unpleasant to stay especially downstaira. In addition, the dishes were not properly cleaned. The overall condition of the property is unacceptable and does not match the expected standard.

The view of the dam is fantastic !!! Electric blanket is a bonus for the cold nights :-)

A queen size bed will be a lot comfortable And a nice couch on the right hand side of the window view to sit and relax and enjoy the view :-)

Last night during midnight we had ants in the bathroom walls and ceiling luckily there was doom in the room but it was very uncomfortable because they were all over with nothing to clean with. It will be nice if there's a cloth, broom or mop for emergency like that. The water in the shower was Luke warm it was not nice at all as it is winter. Z

The bath and the shower looked a bit unclean. There would be black stuff floating in the bath when you run the water and there’s black stuff on the bathroom floor. There were also a lot of ants and we would see it floating in the bath water. The bath and shower water also smells like egg.

The bed was very nice with warm electric blankets.

The aircon did not work. We could not control the hot water from the gas geyser. It was too hot and when you add cold water it went completely cold. The place was not properly maintained. The WIFI was not on all the time. The lady at reception was not properly trained.

The view

The room we booked had a strong mould smell, and there were spiders in the room. It was very unpleasant and quite scary, to the point that we had to book another hotel in Pretoria for the night. The following day, we requested a room change, but we only received a different room on the last night of our stay. This was very disappointing and affected our overall experience.

Our two-night stay was an absolute disgrace. We were given a room that reeked of dampness, with visible mold colonizing the walls. The entire space, including the bathroom, was filthy and suffocatingly stuffy. To make matters worse, the bathroom blinds ripped out of the wall and fell, causing a physical injury to my wife. This wasn't just a poor stay; it was a hazardous and unsanitary environment.

The Bath water didn’t smell nice smelt very much like dam water, the jets in the bath were broken and there was a broken window in the room.

I loved the view. The heaters and heated blanket were amazing! I really liked that the tv had Netflix and Dstv. I enjoyed how spacious the unit was.

The tiles and finishes in the bathroom were not the best. The road to the guesthouse had a lot of potholes but I understand that the guesthouse does not have control over this. We came in late and they communicated to us about the gate arrangements which is very organised.

The viewers very nice for us it was also accommodating I enjoy everything the rooms they will also nice and clean I would recommend anyone to go the visit it's a nice place also next to the damn the viewers

What I did not like the stuff they did not show us everything even if you want to cater for yourself or something and rather than ladies it was okay the last lady that we got the at an attitude very bad why so I don't know and they must have a uniform dress up for their job there must not dress like they are in their yard busy doing the most dress well showing that they are workers day so we don't know they are workers or whiting that place but it was okay for us

We had a beautiful view of the dam and the mountains. It was nice and quiet. It is nice and close to the restaurant where we had fantastic pizza.

The lady that was assisting us was not friendly, she just unlocked the room for us and left. We didn’t even get the WiFi password. The room was not clean, it was stuffy and smelled damp as there’s no sunlight coming into it. I called and asked for a different room and was told that the manager would be contacted, with no follow through. I don’t believe the room is suitable for guests to stay in. Even as we were leaving, we were not asked about our stay, nor the discomfort we experienced.

We enjoyed our stay. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth. The room had everything we needed: clean linens, fast WiFi, hot shower, and thoughtful extras like hot and cold beverages. The area felt safe and it was an easy drive to get around hartbeespoort and nearby attractions. Excellent value for money. We’ll be back most definitely

It looked like there was black mold starting growing against the ceiling in the bathroom, a light in the shower that didn't help and the toilet flush was horrible need to flush more the ones to remove the toilet paper all it does is fill up the toilet with water. Found a few big cockroaches in our room and the foot traffic around the room late night was annoying

I did not like the fact that the sheets were not changed after cleaning... The bed is worn out which made it very uncomfortable. We couldn't use the water kettle because it had water that turned green in it. Ooohhh..... They did not refill the toilet paper, we had to call them for an extra one.

We didnt get breakfast .the water was cold but they come and fix the geyser oval the place is WOW We planning to go there again it's very peaceful environments as athletic people we managed to take a walk in the morning.

Room one upstairs aircon did not work. Only blew normal air. Half of the things in the bathroom did not work. Just needs some maintenance but wasn't a problem.

The View was amazing, fresh juice and rusks every morning. Bedding was clean, aircon working, pool was nice and clean, walking distance to the restaurant is near. The host was amazing.

Other guests had chilling sessions and sat next to our room. Theg made noise to the early hours. I don't an email to complain on tye first day but wasn't attended and this was released the following day. This wZ against rules that we read, so we really were not happy about it.

It’s s not well looked after. Needs a lot of work. Paint pealing off rotten around the doors. Did not have hot water at first until they changed the gas bottle.
