Welcome pack, hot tub, TV in bedroom.
Low ceiling in bedroom, and tea and coffee setup underneath stairs, which was very uncomfortable to sort stuff. Awkward to pull gate leg table out. Also no sink apart from in bathroom to wash pots which I feel is a little unhygienic.
The annexe is beautiful, clean and very homely. The hot tub is incredible! They are really hospitable, friendly and give you all the privacy you need.
My only recommendation for a slight improvement is a blind needed on the door to the annexe for total privacy at night but apart from that I couldn't fault it.
Lovely location Nice breakfast hamper upon arrival
Close to the high street and not far from other towns to visit
This was our second stay here and we really enjoyed it. It is a peaceful location and the facilities are modern and clean. The hot tub is well kept and great to relax in after a busy day. It is a good base to explore the Cotswolds beautiful villages.
Great location, easy access to the local town and nearby Cotswold villages. Modern, clean interior & the hot tub is a lovely feature. Breakfast basket was a nice idea and came in handy too. Communication with the host was amazing.
There were no facilities to do our own washing up, maybe there is space under the stairs to have a mini dishwasher? Given the location of the property, being a garage conversion within the garden (this wasn’t clearly described) - we were never disturbed by the host/family, although did feel very conscious of this fact; So couldn’t truly relax. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, especially for a few nights, but manageable.
the place was excellent, very clean and well equipped.. everything was perfect..breakfast was a suprise.very nice indeed..so close to town and bus stop and the host was amazing.would definitely go back again 😁
The host gave lots of information and made sure we were set up in the space. There were some snacks provided which were greatly appreciated. The place was clean and fans were provided in the hot weather. It was surprisingly cool anyway which was a great outcome as I was worried it would be very hot!
I thought that there could be more privacy, for example a screen on the front door (which faces the family garden) and more screening between the hot tub and family garden. It would be helpful to set up a small kitchen worktop downstairs to allow some simple food preparation for making things like sandwiches. This stay reinforced for us that we'd prioritise places with at least a small kitchenette going forward. The painting in the bathroom let's down the more luxury feel that I think this place is aiming for.
Location was great. Accommodation was spotless. Great having parking available. A comfortable place to stay for our short break and the welcome basket, milk and oj were a nice touch after a long journey.
There wasn’t anything in particular tbh, although we would have appreciated a blind on the door window for a little more privacy.
It is in The Cotswolds
Lack of privacy, uncomfortable bed not particularly clean
The host was excellent - offering lots of tips about local restaurants walks and making sure we had everything we needed.
The hot tub
No complaints
Clean and comfortable cosy retreat. Lovely hot tub. Gift hamper on arrival. Good communication from owners.
Nothing really
Spacious, clean, perfect location! Wonderful hosts would come back again!
Nothing all wonderful.
Had everything we needed for a short stay. Hosts were communicative and answered all queries quickly. Welcome hamper and home cooked brownies and flapjacks were a really nice touch. We ordered the breakfast grazing board which was amazing and lasted 2 mornings.
Nothing
Beautiful property in a great location. Walking distance from the village.
Although the property dosent have a kitchen it could do with a small sink do you don't have to wash up in the bathroom.
The owners were so welcoming and had thought of everything! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay 😊
It was wonderful for the two of us. The rooms were warm, comfortable and very clean, whilst the location was perfect, just a few minutes uphill walk into the High Street with its pubs and restaurants, and a great base to explore the area on foot. The hot tub was a huge plus after a 3 hour walk as well !! The welcome pack was very much appreciated as well.
We loved the hot tub and how close it was to the town
nothing everything was amazing
Property was lovely, good facilities, the owners were so kind and nothing was too much trouble
Nice and cosy, very clean…area is so quiet.
There’s was nothing I didn’t like
Beautiful accommodation, the host really has thought of everything. Exceptional standards, have everything you need for a fabulous stay!!
There was nothing not to like!!
The Location was perfect, close to all the villages that we intended to visit. The property was a perfect size for 2 of us. The hot tub was amazing in the evening to relax and spend quality time.
The castle hideaway was fab, it had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was a fab addition.
We liked everything!
Everything cannot fault it! When I say i can’t fault this place i mean it. Everywhere was lovely, clean and tidy. There was a welcome hamper for when we arrived which was very much appreciated and enjoyed by me and my partner:) The bed was super comfy (one of the most comfy beds we’ve slept in). Saw a few reviews complaining about the size of the bed but this was very clearly outlined when booking it’s a double bed. My partner is 6 foot and i’m 5’10 and we fit absolutely fine in the bed so had absolutely no issues there. Was a super cozy property. We loved how the living area and bedroom were separate. The hot tub was lovely and very well looked after. We definitely made the most out of it!!It is in a brilliant location we only had to drive max 25 mins to any village or location we wanted to visit. Communication with the host was exceptional, she was super lovely to speak to and any questions we had she was very quick to respond. If we ever came back to the Cotswolds we would 100% stay here again!!
As is have said absolutely nothing to fault. AMAZING!
Comfortable. Hot tub good temperature. Hosts communication very good.
Located in a nice quiet area walking distance to the sights in Chipping Campden. It was nice to find a basket of breakfast items and milk in the fridge. We were able to park our car in the driveway so it was off of the narrow streets. It was nice to have extra space and a lounge chair down stairs.
The bed could have been bigger as it was only a small double bed. We usually sleep in a queen size bed so found it uncomfortable, but this may be ok for you.
Well presented. Every small detail thought of - sockets near mirrors, slippers and robes for hot tub, comfortable bed
Nothing
It’s the best place to stay for a weekend away in wonderful Chipping Campden village. Walking distance to the town, the area it’s peaceful and quiet. The place is well designed and very cosy. It was very thoughtful of the owners to prepare some snacks and drinks for us. The little lights around the jacuzzi and the garden creating stunning atmosphere specially in the evening. Would definitely recommend this place.
Nothing
The property was a perfect location for a break visiting The Cotswolds. The accommodation was well presented with a modern shower and decor. We loved the use of the hot tub after a busy day enjoying the summer evenings. The hot tub was clean and well maintained.
Nothing. Only suggestion is that it would be useful to have a brush or sponge to wash up with.
Absolutely loved the castle hideaway. We booked for our honeymoon so that we could have a couple of child free days away. Communication from Victoria is excellent right from booking to check out. The accomodation is top spec and was beautifully clean. I was impressed with the attention to detail. The town centre being only 10 minutes walk was great and we enjoy nice meals there. The hot tub is such a lovely addition. It was nice to relax and do nothing. The hamper was so thoughtful and it was great to have fresh orange juice and milk in the fridge waiting. Thankyou for our complimentary bottle of prosecco and fruit bowl. We had a great stay and would love to return with our daughter. Thankyou Victoria.
Lovely property, well maintained. Nice welcome basket on arrival. Great hot tub and use of robes. Free WiFi. Plus communication by host was excellent!
Nothing!
It was well maintained and very clean. Lovely welcome hamper and lots of tea and coffee. The hot tub was a great to use too.
Nothing
The location was a great base to visit all the local villages/towns. The property itself is exactly what you could want if you are not looking to cook for yourself. The hot tub was very relaxing after a days exploring. Great host.
Nothing to dislike. We did not need for anything that we could have possibly wanted.
Clean, well maintained, lots of helpful info for working hot tub, thoughtful extra towels and robes for hot tub. We used the travel cot for our 9 month old and he slept well!
Very good communication from Victoria. Very close to the town and great place to stay for travelling around. Bed was very comfortable and hot tub was a pleasure.
Can’t think of anything!
Excellent location for us to enjoy the Chipping Campden Literature Festival and local walks. Accommodation for the two of us was spacious, well-equipped and very clean. Communications with the owner were very helpful.
Lovely hideaway about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Chipping Campden. Loved the added bonus of a hot tub and use of their dressing robes and towels. Hosts were amazing and had great communication with them. And nice finishing touches with a little hamper to welcome us.
Loved everything, but you do have to wash the glasses, cutlery and crockery in the downstairs bathroom sink as there's no kitchen sink (but that's because there's nowhere to put one in the living area). But that was a minor thing as we loved staying here and would do so again!
We enjoyed a lovely couple of days at castle hideaway in Chipping Campden. We stayed for our minimoon so came straight from our wedding the night before. Victoria was very kind and left us some Prosecco to celebrate with! We had a lovely relaxing stay, the hideaway has everything you need, the hot-tub is an added bonus. They also provided a lovely hamper with breakfast goodies in. Chipping Campden is easily walkable which was great for us as we were very lucky with the sunny weather. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Location was perfect, nice walk into centre. Parking on site. Felt like home from home. Very clean and tidy. Bed was comfy, loved the little hamper on arrival. Nice little touch. Shower was hot and powerful. Would defiantly recommend.
Nothing I don’t think
Good location the breakfast was adequate, the property owner was very good with communicating about the area, providing very useful information and kept us updated with the weather. The hot tub was excellent and very private.
Not that it was a problem but should consider an improved way to be able to wash and clean glasses, cups and plates etc.
Everything was just perfect
The overall experience, the finer details and time keeping.
Nothing
A gorgeous countryside retreat in a prime Cotswolds location. The place was tidy and welcoming when we arrived with all the essentials and some generous extras. The hot tub with fairy lights dangling overhead was absolutely stunning on the evenings. The host couldn’t do enough for us and was happy to help with every request or question we had. We had the most amazing time and can’t recommend it enough!
great location, tasteful decor.
outside area round hot tub could be prettier. a few nice flower pots. upstairs very hot.
Good choice of cereal, bread, butter and jam. lovely having milk and orange juice from a glass bottle. Comfortable sofa and good size bathroom.
Having a separate sink to do the washing up.
The staff provided exceptional service, provided a gluten free hamper, rose petals on the bed, fresh fruit, orange juice and milk in the fridge. The TV had access to streaming services aswell which was a lovely touch. In a very quiet area with just a 10 minute walk into the centre. The location was beautiful!
Nothing really. My partner is tall so had to crouch a little bit with the sloping ceiling but we noticed a lot of the shops in the area also had low door frames, which seems to be a pattern with historic buildings.
We really enjoyed our stay at Castle Hideaway, the property was lovely and cosy and had everything we needed. Perfect location to explore the Cotswolds. The breakfast hamper & milk were much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.
The breakfast we requested was excellent and more than enough for two people. Very quiet location and extremely well laid out inside. lovely to see the sun shining through in the morning when waking up due to the skylights. Excellent parking space on driveway, a must if you worship your vehicle. For a couple who had never used a hot tub before we found it very relaxing so don't forget your swim suits. Will visit again. Thank you
lovely property, lovely location. Extra special touches for my partners birthday and welcome hamper. Well kitted out property. Exceptional communication with the host. Can't recommend it more highly.
I'd be nit picking as this place is wonderful - Would have liked a mug for my morning coffee - what can I say - thats the only thing that I can think of as a point to improve.
Excellent communication. There were extras available to personalise our stay and a welcome pack with bread, cereal, milk & orange juice.
There was nothing I didn't like. If I had to pick something it would be that it rained on our last day.
The perfect space for a long weekend a short walk from the centre of Chipping Campden. Lots of small touches made it extra special, from a little hamper of goodies (inc. glorious Cherry Bakewell Loaf!) to robe and slippers to use with the hot tub.
Fabulous little find! The property was perfect for a relaxed weekend in the Cotswolds. It’s modern, clean and tidy and really well equipped. The hot tub was gorgeous-so inviting even in the January weather. Victoria is a fabulous host, leaving little extra touches that made it just perfect-such as robes and slippers for the hot tub and a welcome basket with tea bags, bread, milk and juice. The property is a ten minute stroll through the prettiest village to restaurants, pubs and cafes. There’s so much to choose from. We enjoyed breakfast in 42nd east bakehouse (and took some treats home for later!) and had some lovely meals and drinks in the eight bells inn. A gorgeous stay, I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Lovely cosy place to stay. Nice finishing touches like robes and slippers. Breakfast hamper and milk and juice in fridge very thoughtful. Our birthday treat was much appreciated. Comfy sofa and lots of blankets. Lovely hot tub.
The property is lovely, the hot tub is nice and private! Hosts made sure the hot tub was ready and maintained throughout our stay. Location is ideal if you fancy going for some walks, equally only a 15 minute walk to pubs and restaurants etc.
Would prefer some larger mugs for a nice cup of tea but just personal preference! Also would be nice to have a blind on the door for added privacy.
Very clean and comfy, parking spot is very safe. The bedroom and lobby were very warm to comfort us.
Everything is perfect. Need a shade for the hot tub and oven.
The castle hideaway was an ideal place to stay, quiet, convenient to walk onto the village and the hot tub was fabulously relaxing. Perfect size accommodation for two.
We liked everything.
The breakfast platter & the hot tub was amazing! Victoria helped make my husband's birthday celebrations extra special with some nice touches which we really appreciated. The space was very cosy & relaxing.
Everything was great, but if I had to be picky I'd suggest a blind on the front door & a waste paper bin & a box of tissues on the dressing table in the bedroom.
The location was perfect, close to the high street near some lovely walks, restaurants, cafes and shops. The property was quiet, private, modern, comfy and clean. The breakfast selection / hot drinks were a lovely welcome. The towels, robes and slippers for the hot tub were a great extra. Very cosy and relaxing stay.
Castle Hideaway was in great location walking distance to town and Little Oak Vineyard. Victoria was very accommodating and responded very quickly to messages. The hot tub was an added bonus especially as the weather was so hot.
Fantastic little Hideaway, you felt like you were secluded but still nearby to everything you needed. Very helpful host who answered all our questions and helped when needed. Check in and out was super easy and the hot tub was fab!
Castle hideaway is a beautiful location, the facilities were great and a lovely welcome package with added treats for the kids were much appreciated
Loved the location, loved the hot tub, loved it all!
Nothing apart from having to leave!
Great location, a short walk from the town centre. Perfect for a couple wanting to have a weekend away in the Cotswolds
The cottage was lovely with everything we needed. The hot tub was an added bonus and a great way to spend the evening. Victoria went out of her way to make our anniversary special and I can’t thank her enough. The hamper on arrival was a lovely surprise and the breakfast we ordered was absolutely beautiful. The property is within walking distance of Chipping Camden which really is a great place to while away the weekend.
The Location was very good and just a 15 minutes walk into Chipping Campden. The bathroom was very nice. We were left a bottle of fizz and some breakfast supplies.
You only have one chance to make a first impression and unfortunately we were not impressed. You walk through 2 gates to enter the property which were covered in cobwebs and the paving stones had weeds growing out of them. As we entered the rear forecourt we were met with a bucket of stagnant water and a table and chairs which had seen better days. In addition the step into the hot tub was also showing signs of wear. We only used the hot tub once as it was not very inviting due to the grit left in it and the cover had to be lifted off and on manually and it is quite heavy. It is also situated under a hedge which sheds its leaves and flowers onto the cover. We were fully aware that there was not a full kitchen on site but there was, as listed, a Fridge, Kettle, Toaster and Microwave. The fridge was extremely small so if you bought along fizz, beers, milk you could not get it all in. There was also no way of making ice. The condition of the kettle and toaster was very poor and the area was generally disappointing. The bed was a standard double bed and as a suggestion a larger bed would be better and would fit in to the area. We actually left the property after 4 nights and stayed in hotels and came home a day early. The description on the website is correct in regards to the facilities but the quality of some was poor and we felt there was no attention to detail and we expected a much better overall experience for the circa. £1200 we paid for the week. We would have shared this with the owners but we never saw them. Perhaps they were leaving us alone as they assumed all was ok.
A welcome pack was provided which included bread, milk, coffee, cereal etc which was a lovely touch.
This is a really minor grumble.... little teacups were provided but big mugs would have been better for that morning cuppa!
Peaceful quiet accommodation
thank you victoria for making everything so comfortable and easy for us during our stay, the hot tub was perfectly prepped and the facilities all clean and ready to use, Victoria was also so quick to respond to messages with recommendations which we definitely needed so thank you!
nothing it was all amazing!
