To open the door a code is used however I had thought it would be like a lockbox however its electronic - something I wasn't used to, but fortunately my friends knew. For me the mattress on the single bed in the small bedroom was too soft

Reviewed Jan 31, 2026Best location! A few houses away from the Main Street, such an easy walk into town, close to so much great food too! Especially Charlie's Browns French deli and the crepe van! We loved walking through town until the night time and enjoying the beautiful long summer days. Such a comfortable house! Great soft carpets, comfortable couches. Perfection!

Reviewed Aug 1, 2025Absolutely loved our time here! Check in was so easy. There was plenty of space for our whole family. Off street parking was fabulous and a super quick walk to the local supermarket and shops. Washing machine meant we could keep up with laundry. Kids are well and truly looked after with toy boxes, trampoline and climbing frame outside, and high chair and cot available if needed. The property was immaculate.
The only thing I would change would be a bigger airer for the wet clothes or a clothes line. The one available was a bit small.

Water pressure is too low, no heating/ air-conditioning in bedroom, heat lamp goes with the fan and can’t separate. So the ensuite bathroom is too cold.

Confusion regarding the costing , as originally booked for 5 people for two night. Then added on one additional night for one night. Was going to be charged again for the 5 people even though it was already paid. Admin person apologised and said they did not check history of payment as admin swamped with messages. Needs more admin staff as one message took 48 hours for a response. House needs fly screens as could not open windows, due to insects.

The house was really well stocked with everything you needed - it was just like a home away from home. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in Wanaka.
