Beautiful house and views, fantastic location.
Nothing everything was perfect.
The location is spectacular - you'd nearly want to go just for the views. Everything you might need is there in the house. There's loads of space. The wee beach is swimmable when the tide is in. We spent allll of our time in the conservatory. Loved it so much
Can't fault the house at all. Everything is well sign posted / plenty of instructions given.
The views and location right on the seafront. Huge house with plenty of space to relax in. Being able to swim when the tide was in!
The funny single beds weren’t great for our 83 year old mother. Some sunbeds outside would have been appreciated.
Full of character, spacious, fantastic views
The location was so convenient, just a minute walk to downtown. The conservatory overlooking the water was amazing. The house was comfy and clean, and very charming.
Wonderful house with amazing space and views. It rained most of the time there but house was great and we made fires so very cozy
Unique house, with wood burning stove and location is phenomenal…
The bed configuration is unusual. But we made it work.
We had a fabulous 4 night stay at Wood Quay. The property is unique with the most amazing view over the lough which laps at the doorstep and windows. It was very relaxing to sit and relax and enjoy the view. The location is very convenient for the town centre just a few minutes walk away. The beds are comfy, the toe to toe beds in the twin rooms are unusual but are very comfy and spacious, we all slept well! We had the stove going in the conservatory which worked well and the aga is lovely and homely. My mum has mobility issues and the property worked well as no stairs/ steps - although some floors are uneven as it's an old property.
It's a rustic style property which we liked but may not suit some people. Some fixtures, fittings, furniture are a little tired. Some light bulbs needed to be replaced - there are a lot of lamps! Would be nice to have a bit more info in the property about the local area - like where nearest supermarket is - the one in town is very small - we went to Newry. Also some info about the history of the area and Wood Quay would be nice as it's so unique.
Absolutely unique location and property. Will definitely be back.
Nothing
Beautiful property in the best location by the water. . The views are gorgeus. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay with our two dogs. Everything worked as promissed. We are looking forward to our next visit!
Amazing location and spectacular view. Very spacious and comfortable.
The front door lock needs to be fixed extremely difficult to open. As a family, we are very environmentally conscious and recycle, with no facilities to recycle or separate rubbish, which meant we took recycleables home to recycle except for bottles.
Wow, wow, wow. This was us walking around Woodquay for the first time. The sea outside the window. The gorgeous stoves and books and tapestries and Aga. So enchanting.
More time to enjoy it all
We had a great time staying here. The house was spotless and there is so much space. It is in the perfect location, walking distance to anywhere you need to go. As a family we really enjoyed our time here
Food in town was great
There was a lot of loud partying in the weekend, but it didn’t bother us too much
Fantastic location Amazing views Interesting property, full of character, good layout Wood burning stove with some logs provided(not needed for this trip) Is possible to swim safely without leaving property grounds
Bathrooms could have been slightly cleaner Sitting room can get very warm and is hard to cool down, looked like there could have been AC, but found no remote or instructions
Location, scenery, house facilities, everything was fabulous!
Really Enjoyed it. Large living area great for family and dog. Conservatory the star of ye show. House charming, old world stylish. Great view across pier to mountains. Safe outside area for dog.
The location especially being able to swim right from the house. Two mins walk into the little town. The views , changing every day The conservatory. Loved it all
Location and the unique beauty of the home. Original and mix match of everything. A true Irish feeling.
Great Location and very authentic irish cottage
Not clean, very cold and very uncomfortable beds.. no welcome pack, not even tea or coffee. Basically you need to bring everything you need for a weekend. Probably suits hen or stag party's better but not the quality you would expect for the price! Much better options elsewhere.
This property is truly unique. From the moment we arrived we were blown away with the view. The house is gorgeous. Super comfortable with everything you could want. The aga and the wood burning stove were gorgeous to have after a cold lough dip off our own little stoney beach. We will definitely be back again. This is a special find
Nothing, loved it all
Ambiance, location
Location is perfect. Relaxing. Exceptional views of the loch and the mountains. Fabulous little historic village
All good
Perfect location
Totally unique property. Full of charm and character. This is a truly authentic place to stay.
The log burners kept us warm on a chilly February stay. The views are stunning. Wile away the day watching the tides.
2 stove fires and the outstanding view
Nothing in particular
Beautiful unique property. Superb location and super efficient host. Will definitely be back
This place is a luxury experience in itself. It was absolutely gorgeous, from the scenery to the inside. It had everything we needed. It's a one minute walk to the bars and restaurants. The lough on the doorstep (literally) Walking through the door took our breaths away. It was spotless and clean. The wifi was amazing everywhere in the house. If you're thinking about booking here....what are you waiting for?
Some of the photos that show this house on this site need updated. The chairs in the sun room especially as they have been recovered or new chairs have been bought. Its just a suggestion as everything was perfect.
Great location and lovely views from the property
A good few cobwebs seen around the property, also one of our group felt there may have been bed bugs in her bed as she woke up with bites
where it was situated beautiful views and very relaxing
nothing
Location is amazing.. right on the waters edge....outstanding views. Less than 5 min walk laway from bars restaurants and shops.
Everything was perfect.
