Our lovely host and the size of the rooms

Shalom felt like home the second we landed. It's situated in an absolutely beautiful location, facing the stunning bay and mountains across the water. It's an extremely quick walk to the main street where all the restaurants and pubs are, and is a short few minutes away from the start of the hiking trails in the area. The hosts are the kindest and most welcoming, accommodating people. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will certainly be back!

Not a bad word for Shalom, everything was perfect.

Very clean

It was extremely humid and after two showers there was water running down the walls. We got there and there was a puddle on the floor of the bathroom from the humidity. A dehumidifier might be handy.

I loved everything about the property. The only suggestion I would make would be to replace one of the ordinary sockets with a usb charging socket.

Our room was below breakfast area so was woke with noise from above but it would not stop me returning.

The staff are extremely friendly and very accommodating. We attended a family wedding which we had to decorate first so when we rang the owner she let us check in early to get ready. The breakfast was lovely and it was very clean. I would highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again.

The hosts of Shalom you couldn’t have got nicer friendlier people. We were made very welcome from the very beginning of our stay till the day we left. Breakfast was excellent plenty to eat and good service. Location is fantastic and the view from the dining room is spectacular. You are walking distance from Carlingford which is a bonus.

Everything was very good and only a minor issue that the TV remote didn't work properly just needs new batteries.

Excellent location, rooms were very big and very clean, price was good, host was very friendly and welcoming overall I was extremely happy with my stay and would definitely recommend to others.

Probably about the only thing I could fault this place for was that I could not regulate the shower it was either cold or boiling but this was definitely the only minor flaw I could find.

Staff were lovely and explained everything as we were arriving late in from a golf trip. No pressure when we had to change our check-in time. Room are very spaciousand clean. 10 min dander into the center.

The location was really beautiful. Kevin was very kind and informative. The room was very spacious, with a beautiful view of the mountain. The beds were probably amongst the best I've slept in, away from home.

I always enjoy staying at Shalom. Jackie is a great host and a lovely lady. We stayed in the out buildings and it was nice and quiet. Tasty cooked breakfast with a choice of cereal and yoghurt etc. It's just a short 10min walk to the heart of Carlingford. We will definitely be back.

Only staying 1 night I wish we could have stayed more. 😊

Excellent quiet location. Very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Close enough to town to be convenient but far enough to be quiet. Comfortable bed. Clean and large bedroom. Good internet connection. Lovely garden outside. Plenty of parking for those travelling by car. Really glad to have chosen here to stay and to have avoided the bigger hotels.

Shalom met our needs for an overnight stay and there was nothing we didn't like

Shalom was such a fantastic stay. The room was perfect. Lots of room. The owners were so lovely and really went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Such a wee gem of a B&B. And the breakfast the next day was first class. Great location, easy walk into town. Can't recommend it enough and I will definitely be back.

Shalom is a lovely comfortable spotless bnb. The host was so kind and helpful. The ground floor room was easily accessed and there was even an electric blanket if it was cold! I would highly recommend Shalom as a perfect location - the breakfast was really good too!

Lovely host and she accommodated our 8:30am check out by serving us breakfast early. Great location. Rooms were clean. Great breakfast.

The shower head was low pressure and is quite old. Towels could be a bit larger - pretty small for a bath towel. There was no common area that we had access to during our stay. The breakfast room was only available to us in the morning when breakfast was served. We had no access to a kitchen or fridge for our own food and drinks. While we did have our own picnic table outside our room, during the rain and wind, there was no option other than hanging out in our room for the evening. During our stay, they had a power glitch that lasted more than two hours (room next to us as well). We could not get a hold of anyone initially. With the wet weather, and no indoor common area, and the power outlets not working, we could not charge our devices or use the TV. The bedside lamps would not work either. Breakfast time of 9-10am is very limited for traveller's with plans or needing to get on the road.

Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pillow cases had make up marks on 2. And there was lipstick on one of the coffee cups. One towel was overly frayed. Should have been retired.

I loved the proximity to the town and the beach.

There was nothing to dislike, I loved it all.

Cooked breakfast made to order with table service & delicious to eat and/or alternative cereal, fresh fruit etc Thanknyou Jackie & Kevin .. Shalom BnB landscaped grounds spectacular & in keeping with The Fokelore park across the minor road with garden lights at night-time & plenty of seating .. Overall - Mountain & Sea Location with access to the beach & the sea & marinas etc; walk to town for dining & night life & driving easy to manage 1way traffic etc & - totally magnificent! Beds soo comfy & made extra cozy with electric blanket on timer for night-time! tea/coffee making available & excellent pressure & hot water in shower room etc

Personally, we prefer a hand-held shower head otherwise everything was perfect for us including the Owners & all the staff we met ..

The room was a good size & the beds were very comfortable. Our host, Jackie, was a lovely woman & happy to help us with whatever we needed. The village has good places to eat, an exceptional coffee shop, an interesting craft shop selling items made in Ireland & where everyone can find something to suit their pocket! The local people are welcoming & helpful. The greenway to Omeath is a great walk.

Die Lage direkt in einer Bucht war unglaublich schön. Einmal über die kleine Küstenstraße spazieren und schon steht man am Meer. Für Familien mit Kindern vl.interessant-dort gibt es einen lieben kleinen Park mit einigen netten Ideen zu irischer Folklore (Lepechrauns usw.) Das Haus, der Garten bezaubernd - ebenso die Zimmer. Das Frühstück ausreichend und köstlich - wunderschöner Ausblick mit Panoramafenster auf die Bucht. Wer in dieser Gegend eine Unterkunft sucht und hier eine Möglichkeit findet sollte unbedingt zugreifen. Die Familie ist sehr freundlich :-)
