Ravenstone Lodge Hotel is superb. Thanks, Brett and Theresa for a lovely far-too-short stay, wonderful dinner, amazing breakfast.

Our room (5) had a noisy floor, and for old folk like us the bath/shower would be safer with a non-slip mat and a safety grip. That's why you are only getting 99.9 points instead of 100

Close to Keswick but just far enough out to feel remote. Beautiful and quiet surrounds. I would definitley return.

The food was exceptional and their sister hotel literally across the road had a lovely bar, restaurant and garden area too.

If you book a small room be prepared that it is small!

Evening meal and breakfast very en joyable.

I found it extremely difficult to enter the main road in my car from the hotel. View to the right restricted and I found myself presenting the car onto the carriageway to obtain view. Extremely dangerous .

Very friendly staff and happy to accomodate with the early breakfast time we required. Good variety of choice. Liked the fresh milk mini fridge which was handy rather than sachets of milk. Bed was comfortable. View outside from the conservatory whilst eating was very pleasant.

Room was very hot as above kitchen. There was a large fan to help with this. Thought the price of the packed lunch was a little steep but welcomed the opportunity to have them available to purchase.

Beautiful location, spacious and well lit bedroom with an amazing view, hotel is elegant, breakfast and dinner were amazing. Food was indeed exceptional. Their chef is fabulous.

The personnel was too nosey. One person in particular. They kept asking questions about us, our family, our holidays, our life.. Leave us alone. You are not friends or acquaintances. Just do your job. Be more professional.

What I liked about the property? Everything. I’m not even lying. We did a road trip from Edinburgh down to London and made a stop in the Lake District. We arrived at Ravenstone Lodge and were greeted with a warm welcome. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. We made a dinner reservation right at check-in (best decision ever). The food was delicious and absolutely perfect. Located in what felt like the middle of nowhere, we were surrounded by sheep, horses, birds, and just relaxing nature. Breakfast was also very delicious. From a small yet perfect buffet to special treats like overnight oats, Eggs Benedict, and more, it was nothing short of amazing. The room was modern yet traditional in its interior design. There was no lack of modern technology, the bed was very comfy, and while the room was small, it was still very comfortable! The bar and the lounge area were inviting and relaxing. There’s so much more to say about this, but see for yourself! You won’t be disappointed!

Ravenstone Lodge is fabulous, first class. One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in. The hotel is not too big so you feel very spoilt by the great hospitality. We had a small room but had everything we needed and it was spotlessly clean with a lovely view. The location is centrally located to explore the lakes. (Bus stop nearby but we didn’t use the bus). Staff were just so accommodating and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food is first class no need to eat anywhere else! There’s a lovely walk from the hotel to Bassenthwaite lake. We had a memorable short break and will be returning to this lovely hotel.

The food was exceptional. The full cooked breakfast was absolutely perfect and both dinners we had at the hotel were truly excellent. I particularly enjoyed the trio of Lamb and the Cod. The staff were friendly, patient and helpful and our room was comfortable, clean and cosy. We enjoyed scenic walks in the surrounding countryside and the lake in particular was breathtaking.

Ravenstone Lodge, was an amazing find, met Charlie one of the owners, we felt like one of the family! The staff so friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble, and the food was exceptional from the talented chefs, and all this in a beautiful location! We also ate in the sister hotel across the road, again very friendly staff and delicious food!

Een heel aangename verrassing was de kwaliteit van het diner, en de gastvrijheid van het personeel. Bijzonder aangenaam was de gezellige zithoek, ideaal om te aperitieven, een koffie te drinken of een gezelfschapspel te spelen.

Amazing lodge, Brett & his team are so attentive and the food they serve is excellent so well worth a visit for evening meal when staying. The rooms are spacious and location is only ten minutes Keswick. Views are sublime!

The flexibility of checking early and checking out late, also being looked after at breakfast not at the crack of dawn to allow more sleeping time! Nice! Dinner is fab too!

We enjoyed staying in the Ravenstone Lodge Country House Hotel superior suite. It was very comfortable and great to have your own sitting room and outdoor area. The food in the restaurant, including breakfast was delicious. The views from the patio and restaurant across to Lake Bassenthwaite was absolutely amazing. A great place to base yourself and explore The Lakes. Great range of drinks, including homemade infused Gin, in the Stable Bar.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property.

Shown round on our arrival, including a jug of fresh milk being bought to our room. Location and views much better than the online pictures which is so unusual! Very helpful, interested and friendly staff. Amazing dinner - we will definitely eat here again even if we're not staying. And we had a bath in the bathroom!

Excellent professional and friendly staff. Gorgeous location of the countryside. Food excellent and michelin qaulity presented and cooked. Reasonable view from our room which was clean and well presented with a good seized bed. Bathroom with good fittings throughout. Can’t fault anything.

Acces from the road can be a little difficult if you approach from Keswick.

Everything we have stayed in this hotel quite a few times now . Bret and the rest of the team are fabulous. They can't do enough for you ..best hotel by a country mile .. location fantastic for walks . Food amazing what more can I say .

Hotel was immaculate, all looked recently decorated and nicely done. Bedroom was so comfortable, with plenty of room. The staff were excellent, always a smile on their faces, called you by name, couldn’t be more helpful. The food was some of the best we’ve ever had, chef is superb. Location was very peaceful, lovely countryside outlook with walks from the door.

I couldn’t fault this place. Excellent location with beautiful scenery. The food was 5 star as well as the service, especially Brett who was very warm and welcoming. If you like walks there are multiple walks with access from the property.

I have no negatives I just wish I had a larger room. Which was no fault of theirs as it was myself who chose the room. If I had to point out a small improvement as there isn’t much storage space in there smallest room it would be to add a couple of hooks for jackets.

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely views and a welcoming outdoor terrace. Staff were extremely helpful and offered us a room upgrade at a very good price

The only reason for not giving 10/10 across the board is because despite a lot of discussion about my need for a gluten free diet and reassurance the chef and staff were fully informed and that almost everything on the menu could be adapted, I was served a gluten containing side dish which luckily I queried. It was taken away and the waitress apologised but I lost confidence and wasn’t able to enjoy my meal.

We ate breakfast and dinner at the Lodge for 5 days. Everything was wonderful. Beautiful views from the hotel to the pastures and rolling hills behind. Parking. Great staff and service. They went out of their way to make us comfortable.

The menu between breakfast and dinner is just nuts or olives as well as beverages. We would have ordered more if it were available. Otherwise there wasn't anything we would improve except the weather.

Diese Unterkunft hat eine 1a Köchin! Haben selten so gut gegessen wie hier (Frühstück und Abendessen) mit Blick ins Grüne. Sehr schöne Möglichkeit für Spaziergänge an den nahen See. Es liegen Wandervorschläge auf. Familienzimmer ist sehr gross.

Empfang war recht mürrisch. Obwohl wir einen Twinroom gebucht hatten und es offensichtlich Bettsofas im Zimmer zur Verfügung hatte, wollten sie uns nur ein Doppelbett zur Verfügung stellen. Zimmer ist Richtung Strasse, welche sehr laut sein kann und über der Küche, welche den Zimmerboden von unten heizt (Koffer wurde sehr warm), was bei der extremen Hitze nicht angenehm war.

The price of evening meals and drinks were very expensive. The room we stayed in there were dirty tissues left in draw. The room itself was very warm and uncomfortable at nighttime because of how warm it was. The pillows could do with changing too.

The accommodation itself was fantastic, very comfortable with an amazing view as well. The staff was very attending, helpful and friendly especially with our 18 months old needs.

The location was lovely, right at the base of Skiddaw, overlooking some fabulous views of the lakes. We went for my partners birthday and they put a happy birthday banner on the bed, it was a lovely touch

Fantastic 2 nights. Wonderful staff, all very welcoming and attentive. Definitely going to go back.

We have hard bed at home, so the soft bed wasn't the best for us. Everything else was perfect.

General location and the quirky but perfect amalgamation of buildings on different levels. Their new dining area is a beautiful bonus. The state of decoration is as new. Dining is of a high standard and has one or two special offerings: the freshly baked bread rolls are exceptional. Staff couldn’t be more helpful yet weren’t overly attentive.

Not of particular concern for a three night stay but hotels usually make up the room each morning!

The views over the fields and hills were beautiful. We enjoyed them from the lounge, the restaurant, the patio, and our room. The food was exceptional.

Our bathroom had a motion sensor for the light that we couldn’t switch off. As a consequence, the light went on when we went into the bathroom in the middle of the night when we didn’t want a bright light and went off when we were having a shower. Be careful when offered the house made gin. It is very expensive.

When I arrived right from the off I was pleasantly surprised. The place was lovely! The venue, the outside views to die for! The staff were so helpful, lounge was great lovely furnishings. I didnt have dinner as had already eaten in Keswick but food looked great. I had breakfast in the morning and it was brilliant cooked to perfection!!!

Bedroom was on the small side but perfectly formed and ok for me, think two adults might find it a squeeze. Would have liked a fridge in there too, but seriously these are not exactly deal breakers the place was really nice

What a find! The Lodge’s decor is beautiful and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. But the food….the food was out of this world. Trip of lamb was truly delicious, hubby said his steak was the best he had eaten in years (and he knows steak). The pièce de résistance, however, was Brett! He was wholly attentive and made sure everything was perfect - even arranging a packed lunch because we had to check out before breakfast. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area now!

The room keys were excessively big. Milk for rooms would have been better pre bottled.
