Spotlessly clean, perfectly quiet during the night, close to city center, great breakfast served fresh in the morning, very nice and welcoming owner. It was like arriving home after our long trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here on our trip to Cobh. The place was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. The whole house and our room was beautiful with the bed being especially comfortable. The breakfast area was warm and inviting, and Máire made sure everything was perfect. With the food and atmosphere being superb. Our hosts Máire and Joe were incredibly friendly, responsive, and full of great local recommendations. The location was perfect too: quiet and peaceful while still being a short walk from the town. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. This bnb made our first trip to Cobh extra special! Thank you Máire and Joe :)

There are not enough words in the English language to describe this marvellous stay! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The hosts were truly exceptional – warm, welcoming, and incredibly thoughtful. They shared fascinating historical insights about the area, prepared the most delicious breakfast each morning, and even offered us a ride to the station. Their kindness and hospitality went far beyond anything we expected. The property itself is a beautifully preserved Victorian house, full of charm and character. It’s set in a peaceful, picturesque area just a short stroll from Cobh’s stunning natural harbour. The surroundings were so serene, and the house itself was elegant, cosy, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. We felt so cared for and genuinely didn’t want to leave. This was one of the most memorable and special stays we’ve ever had – truly a gem. Highly, highly recommended!

The premises is an old Victorian property that has been lovingly restored and has a lovely comfortable vibe. It was spotlessly clean, with the most comfortable bed. The shower was fantastic and delightful hot. Food was amazing, and a great selection. The homemade Guinness and walnut bread was delicious, and lm thrilled that l now have the recipe! Hands down the best B&B we’ve ever stayed in. The hosts Marie and Joe were welcoming and both went above and beyond. Thank you both for everything that you did for us. I’d highly recommend staying here if you get the opportunity.

We had a wonderful stay! Maire and Joe gave us a very warm welcome. The place was beautiful - very cozy and peaceful - but what we loved most was the room with the stunning sea views! The property is well located and close to Cobh town. There were thoughtful touches throughout. Maire and Joe made us feel right at home, cooking delicious breakfasts and sharing lovely chats. They gave great recommendations, local tips, and suggested places that were truly worth visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back and stay with them again.

Maire set a new standard in hospitality! Her home is lovely and breakfast was delicious. But she went above and beyond when she contacted friends to help in my search for my Irish roots!! So unexpected and appreciated! I only wish we could have stayed longer!

This property was probably one of the most comfortable B&B experiences that we have ever had. The property was first claw in every manner and our hosts were probably the most interesting and engaging owners ever. A wonderful breakfast set us up for our days. Lovely comfortable room in a beautiful house overlooking the harbour. The room we had was very spacious. Maire was so welcoming and friendly and gave us lots of useful information for our stay. There are no words for how lovely this stay was. The facilities are gorgeous, updated while maintaining the history of the home - pictures don’t do it justice. Máire and Joe were happy to have us, so hospitable - available if we needed but very much gave us privacy as well! The linens, room and bathroom - as well as the sitting room and dining room - all so comfortable with no detail left behind and gorgeously decorated. It was easy to feel at home and very welcomed. Parking available right in front of the house, easy walk into town along the water!

We had a wonderful stay. Our room was very clean, and the bathroom was spotless. The shower had plenty of hot water, which was a nice bonus. The bedroom was spacious and luxurious with a king size, comfortable bed and a sitting area looking out over the harbour. There is a separate sitting room for guests. Parking was available on the property. A sumptuous and beautifully presented breakfast. Thoroughly indulged by a warm and friendly host. The accommodation fair exceeded expectations. The only disappointment was that we were not staying longer.

Maire and Joe were fantastic hosts and went out of their way to look after us and make sure our stay was perfect. Great location within an easy walk of the centre of Cobh. The property itself is amazing with plenty of room to unwind. And the full Irish breakfast was up there with the best breakfasts I've ever had. I'd highly recommend Inver for your next visit to Cobh.

The warm welcome, exceptional spacious room. It was pure luxury the minute you walked in. Breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Best night's sleep as bed was so comfy. Excellent location too with free parking. Train stations a walkable distance as is the centre of Cóbh. Perfect in every way.

The absolute perfect spot in a very charming town. We had the room that faced the harbor. Very spacious room and bathroom in an incredible home. Máire was the sweetest host who made us comfortable, cooked a fantastic breakfast, and even made dinner reservations for us.

There truly was not anything we didn’t like about this property.

Excellent location, perfect for watching the Queen Anne cruise ship depart on its maiden round trip of the UK. We were so close to so many good bars and restaurants. The very large room was furnished with wonderful period furniture. There was a massive bathroom.

We did not have a TV in the bedroom, and whilst this didn't bother us in the slightest, it may be a disappointment for others.

We stayed here on May 7th, 2024. It's a really very nice B&B (in the top 3 places over 14 days in Ireland). The room, breakfast and the staff were just great and we would certainly stay there again should the opportunity arise. Inver is about a one km walk from the town centre of Cobh and the owner gave us lots of tips for sightseeing, pubs, restaurants and souvenir hunting (thank you!). I strongly recommend Inver.

The room was very large and very comfortable. Our host Maire was exceptionally helpful -- offering advice on what to see and do, where to eat, and even giving us a book covering the next leg of our journey. She cooked us a terrific breakfast to start each of our days. At the end she drove us to the station to see us off.

It was a charming guest house run by a wonderful couple who made you feel at home. Nothing was lacking and it was a short walk to the lovely town. We were even given a ride to the cruise port terminal. I wish we had stayed longer. Highly recommended.

Everything was excellent, the location, the accommodation, the breakfast and the hosts could not be faulted. Breakfast was of a very high standard with home made produce such as fruit compote. Márie was very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The property is of victorian period and is furnished accordingly. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was very convenient to the city. When we arrived we did not have plans for dinner and our host called and made reservations for us at a restaurant over looking the water. It was very lovely. The room was large and so comfortable. Our window overlooked the bay. Our breakfast was so delightful. Super hosts!!

Moira and Joe Keenan's magnificent home was unexpected paradise to us. Gorgeous furnishings arranged with a clever eye and flair for decorating punctuated big, airy spaces. Our king room was luxury with a fabulous bed and bed coverings. It was enormous in size with views out to the harbour and was superbly-appointed (and to us that meant including a box of tissues, thick towels, hairdryer). Breakfast in the formal dining room was quite an occasion and Moira's delicious fruit compote something to try again, and again. But what set this guesthouse apart from the rest is Moira and Joe's attention to detail specifically related to each guest. Each guest was valued and remembered. Nothing was too hard or too time-consuming to Moira who endeavoured to make each guest feel welcome and special. A huge thank you to Moira and Joe. We hope we will be back in the future.

We loved the restored Victorian home. The hostess had a parlor for us to sit in in the evening with a lit fire and we got to visit with her other guests and trade traveling stories. The bedroom was large with sitting chairs, and a comfortable king sized bed. The en suite was very nice as well. Breakfast was served in her dining room and included breads, yogurt, an English breakfast, and French pressed coffee. It was a delight to interact with our hostess and host, and they had wonderful recommendations for dinner in town.

Maire was a wonderful host. She gave us so much information about the town. Her home is gorgeous and an easy walk to town. The view from our room was beautiful. The bed was super comfy. We had to leave early and Maire was so kind - she got up early and made us eggs before we left. Highly recommend staying at Inver if you will be in the area.

Spacious and welcoming. Excellent breakfast in the large dining room, and the sitting by the fireplace in the slicing room in the evening was an excellent way to wrap up a beautiful day spent exploring Cobh.

Out of 12 B&Bs I stayed in during my 3 weeks in Ireland, this guesthouse was easily #1. My hosts, Maire and Joe, could not have been kinder. My room was quite large; the bed very comfortable; the ambiance quiet. Maire adjusted breakfast to address my allergies - it was delicious. She gave me several suggestions of things to do and see during my stay - all of them spot on. I recommend this guesthouse unreservedly and with true enthusiasm to anyone traveling to Cobh.
