Nice view, close to the center, restaurants, Little Adam peak. Friendly staff

Simple hotel, but good for short stay

Property is very close to the trailhead of little Adam’s peak so we were able to enjoy hiking early in the mornings. Breakfast choices and facilities were modest but clean and comfortable. Some basic amenities were not provided so you might need to get them from local supermarkets (shower gels etc.) Overall, the staff were excellent and more than make up for the little inconveniences.

There were power outages throughout our stay due to some construction but it didn’t last very long.

Spacious room with all the amenities. The breakfast has so much varieties and scrumptious. Ruban, Thushaan and Satheesh are so friendly, helpful and attentive. Highly recommend this place to everyone

Super nice appartment in the proximity of Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adams Peak a bit outside of Ella. Beds were very comfortable and you can enjoy nice seating on the terrace and get the breakfast served to there.

Communication with the location was a bit slow and despite the nice room and breakfast we had better price value options during our 3 weeks stay. But for Ella, is seems okay.

Location was superb, just out of town so quiet and relaxing. Close to attractions. Easy walk into the main area. Rooms were excellent. Tidy and clean. We were on second level with large deck area and elevated outlook. Great value for money and would recommend

Great hotel close to Ella’s main attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it! If possible, ask for a room on one of the upper floors for the best views.

Very clean, perfect location (particularly for getting to little adam's peak at sunrise); staff were lovely and helpful; delicious breakfast each day.

If you're staying on the top floor there are no hammocks on the balcony as it shows in the photos, and because of the way the windows are facing and the lack of outdoor shade over the balcony the room gets super hot in the afternoon (even if you have the air con on)... so you need to keep the blinds closed most of the day (meaning you can't spend any time in the room enjoying the view). I'd encourage requesting a room on the middle floor if you book in advance.

It was really chill out! The bed was very comfortable, great shower - and the breakfast was delicious! We chilled out of an evening on the beanbags out the front - the best place to watch the sunset. Minutes away from great hiking too

Die Unterkunft war für uns ein absoluter Traum! Die Lage ist wirklich unschlagbar: Man befindet sich direkt am Start des Hikes zum Little Adam’s Peak und auch die Nine Arch Bridge ist in nur etwa 10–15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Mit dem Tuk Tuk waren wir außerdem in ca. 5 Minuten im Zentrum von Ella. Wer auch im Urlaub trainieren möchte, erreicht sogar ein Fitnessstudio in etwa 5–10 Minuten zu Fuß. Das absolute Highlight war aber die traumhafte Aussicht. Auf den Bildern kommt gar nicht richtig rüber, wie schön sie tatsächlich ist. Jeden Morgen konnten wir das richtig gute Frühstück auf unserem eigenen Balkon mit dieser unglaublichen Aussicht genießen – besser kann man kaum in den Tag starten. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt haben wir uns hier unglaublich wohlgefühlt und würden definitiv wiederkommen.

In einer Nacht hat ein Nachbar Müll verbrannt, wodurch der Geruch leider über die Klimaanlage in unser Zimmer gezogen ist. Dafür konnte die Unterkunft natürlich nichts. Als wir dem Personal Bescheid gegeben haben, wurde sofort reagiert und dafür gesorgt, dass das Feuer gelöscht wurde. Daher für uns definitiv kein wirklicher Kritikpunkt an der Unterkunft.

Lovely big comfortable bed. Nice terrace area out front to sit, including a hammock and big bean bag chairs. Hot shower. Nice breakfast served on your terrace.

The property is based directly on the trail leading to Little Adam’s Peak, so there’s a constant stream of people and tuk tuks going past. It didn’t bother us but I think it’s good to be aware. If you’re on the ground floor like us it feels a bit exposed and public because of this, plus all other residents walk directly past your room and open terrace to get to theirs. Choose a higher floor for a more peaceful stay in a great position.

Prima kamers, fijne bedden, leuk balkon met hangmat, zitzakken en mooi uitzicht. Ontbijt was top, heel uitgebreid. Prima personeel wat ook hielp met het regelen van tuktuks of taxis.

Locatie is wat verder van het centrum, maar aan de start van de Adam's peak wandeling en vlakbij de wandelroute naar de Nine Arch bridge. Ook qua locatie wat gehorig qua straat geluid, maar niet veel last van gehad.

Perfect location to visit Nine Arch bridge and Little Adam's peak. Staff is very kind, helpful, the breakfast is just perfect and fresh, served on your room's terrace.

房间很大，装修现代化而且很漂亮，设施一应俱全。服务员非常友好，脸上始终是温暖而可爱的笑容，让人感觉很好。早餐尤其好，摆盘很漂亮，味道很棒，量也很足，而且是在自己房间门口露台的私人餐桌用餐。酒店离小亚当峰和九孔桥都很近，就在步道入口处。

房间有点霉味，可能是我比较敏感。

La tranquilidad, las vistas, la amplitud de la habitación y terraza. No está en el meollo de Ella pero por las noches se agradece (15-20 min andando o 3 min de tuktuk a 500 lkr). El desayuno muy completo en la terraza también fenomenal.

La cama no es la más cómoda pero suficiente para un par o tres de días.

The location was perfect for what we needed to do: see the 9 arches bridge (the starting pt was very close); also the track to Little Adam’s Peak!

There was a lot of traffic noise despite being located in the outskirts of the town.

Our stay at Chillout Ella was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The biggest issue was the owner’s attitude. Instead of treating guests with courtesy and respect, he was rude, dismissive, and spoke to us in an unnecessarily aggressive and confrontational manner. As a family travelling with two small children, we expected at least basic hospitality and understanding, but unfortunately we experienced the exact opposite. We politely requested one extra towel, explaining that we were travelling with two young kids. Despite knowing our situation, the request was refused without any willingness to help. Things became even more disappointing at breakfast. We asked for an additional bowl simply to serve food for our children. A basic request that any family-friendly accommodation should accommodate was flatly denied. The interaction quickly became hostile, and the owner appeared more interested in arguing than resolving the issue professionally. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, especially families with young children. Sadly, this property failed on that basic expectation. The accommodation itself became secondary because the poor treatment overshadowed the entire stay. I would not recommend Chillout Ella to families or anyone expecting courteous service and basic customer care. There are plenty of other places in Ella where guests are treated with far greater respect.

The owner is super friendly and so helpful. The balcony is so gorgeous, such a lovely and relaxing view. I couldn’t recommend it enough !!

Wasn’t super close to the main town - only cost $2 AUD and 3 minute tuk tuk to this area. Not a big issue at all - made the stay so much more relaxing and peaceful.

The room was absolutely gorgeous, with a hammock and mountain view. Very modern facilities, super spacious and the 2 gentlemen who brought me my breakfast each day were so friendly and helpful. Being so close to Adam's Peak meant that I actually did the hike for sun rise too!

I hadn't realised how noisy it would be - which is probably my fault as it is literally at the start of the Adam's Peak hike and also on a congested bend where there is lots of traffic! This meant I stayed here for 2 nights instead of 4.

Nos gustó su proximidad para subir a Little Adams Peak. Que te traigan el desayuno a la puerta de la habitación. La limpieza y amplitud de la habitación. Está a 15min del centro de Ella, aunque hay que ir por la carretera.

No tiene una recepción como el resto de hoteles, mejor ir con todo organizado y no depender del alojamiento. La cama hacía muchísimo ruido. Y el baño olía a tubería. Estaría bien tener alguna opción de desayuno para llevar en el caso de hacer check out pronto, como han tenido otros alojamientos. Las vistas nos las tapaba un cartel.

If you book the flex rooms you will get new nice decorated and very clean rooms. The view is incredible and the service is also good. Great breakfast served to the fox balcony room

It is on the one hand a bit far from the main village street meaning you do need a tuktuk to have meals and stroll around.On the other hand it is adjacent to nine arch road and little Adam’s peak

The location is very convenient as short walk into town and start of the scenic trail to Ravana Pool Club, Swing,Zipline and Little Adams Peak. The rooms are well appointed and clean with added bean bag or hammock to relax in to soak up the view. Breakfast was served with a smile at our table outside and the staff and owner made us feel so welcome.

The location is amazing

The towels were smelly and the bedding wasn’t very clean. Also the staff were a slightly rude in some instances.

We stayed in Ella for 2 nights and happy with the choice we made to stay here. Its a close and flat walk to Ella town (15 mins) and its litrelly situated at the base of the Adams Peak trail So you dont have to worry about transport during your stay. The room was clean and big with everything you need in there. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we asked for. We arrived a few hours before check in and they set us upstairs in the lounge with wifi and coffees to relax whilst we waited for the rooms to be ready. Breakfast in the morning was amazing and especially with the views of Adams peak and Ella rock.

Shower pressure was quite week but thats just my preference.

Room wasnt cleaned or made up.

My room was on the lower level but still had great views it was spacious and had everything that you could ask for, staff come around in the evening to take your order for breakfast and it was served on your private table outside your room the following morning and it was amazing!!! I only had the pleasure of spending one night but could have spent a week.

I only got to meet the dog once ... but seriously nothing,everything was lovely,thanks and I felt blessed to stay there.

Everything was perfect for our stay, only wished we stayed longer. The view from my room was outstanding and the location was perfect. A lovely 10 minute walk to most of the restaurants. Great location, away from the hustle and bustle of Ella town. Situated directly on the path to Little Adam’s Peak and the track to the Nine Arches Bridge only metres away. The breakfast was huge with a lot of variety served on our private deck. The staff were very attentive.

It's in a great location at the start of the trail to Little Adam's Peak and also a short walk to the trail to Nine Arch Bridge. Stunning view, very clean, super comfy bed. We read on the balcony while it rained - so relaxing! The property is also right at the start of the Little Adam’s Peak trail which meant we could wake up a bit later to get there for sunrise! Also very close to 9 Arches Bridge. The breakfast was great and the staff were really nice. Also cold beers and glasses were left in the fridge!

The shower could have been hotter / higher pressure.

We were on the lower floor which a little exposed during the day to day trippers heading up Little Adams Peak, no big deal for us but some people may not like that.

The staff are so friendly and very nice people. The morning light and view is amazing. It is super convenient for “before breakfast” hikes to Little Adam’s Peak (30 min) and the Nine Arches walk (20 min)

For those who want to be in the centre of town, this might not be your place, but it’s only a 500 LKR TukTuk ride for the 1 km ride to the centre.

La gentillesse du propriétaire et de son équipe. L’emplacement, un peu à l’écart du centre, idéal pour les départs de randonnée. La vue. Le calme le soir, la nuit. Les équipements et la décoration de la chambre.

Rien à critiquer. Tout est bien. L’éclairage des lampes de chevet pourrait être plus intense.

The property itself, its location and the views it offered along with the fabulous breakfast served could not have been any better. Loved it!!

It was wonderfully located to hike to both Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine Arches Bridge and just a short walk from the main road in Ella! The breakfast was very good!

Right off the road so can be a little noisy but we felt like this did not bother us at all really during our stay as the room is well insulated from the noise.

Die Lage ist sehr praktisch, wenn man die Little Pick Adam besuchen oder die Nine Arch Bridge sehen will.

The room was very clean, the view from the room is really nice and the staff are very helpful ☺️. The hotel is located very close to the little Adams peak & Ravanas club which is a nice walk.

The furniture’s are very old. The bed made noise while Turing around which disturbed our sleep throughout the night.

This is the place where the owner thinks first about the travelers. The family that run the business prepared everything for the comfort, the room was extremely clean, with good AC, soap, clean linen and bath towels. Enough water, working fridge, kettles and cups, etc. even enough hangers in the bathroom and a shelve in the shower what I missed in more expensive hotels. No showing off just a warm care of us. That’s exactly what is important. The breakfast was very delicious (fruits, juices, bread and butter, omelette, sausages, coffee). Perfect price/quality deal. Would love to come back
