Prachtige locatie, prachtige kamer, personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk, ontbijt op het balkon was lekker en natuurlijk fantastisch uitzicht.

Il soggiorno è stato complessivamente positivo. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo avuto un piccolo contrattempo con la camera: ci era stata assegnata una stanza al piano terra, con una vetrata concepita in modo da rimanere aperta nella parte superiore. Purtroppo, proprio per questa caratteristica, durante la notte entravano diversi insetti. Abbiamo però apprezzato moltissimo la disponibilità e la gentilezza dello staff, che si è subito attivato per risolvere il problema e ci ha cambiato la camera. Ci è stata assegnata una stanza al primo piano davvero molto bella, con una vista mozzafiato direttamente sulle cascate: una vista talmente spettacolare che, da sola, vale praticamente il prezzo dell’intero soggiorno! La location è ottima: la struttura è leggermente defilata rispetto al caos del centro, quindi è tranquilla, ma allo stesso tempo il centro è facilmente raggiungibile in circa 10 minuti a piedi, attraverso la caratteristica passeggiata sui binari. Anche la colazione è buona e il servizio è stato ottimo.

L’unica vera pecca è il Wi-Fi, che purtroppo nelle camere non funziona molto bene.

Die Zufahrt ist für ein Auto eher nicht geeignet die Strasse ist eng und zur Hoteleinfahrt zimlich steil ein Kleinwagen mit 4WD oder ein Tuktuk ist das aber gut möglich

El sitio es precioso, si no me equivoco el dueño está haciendo obras para ampliarlo pero no dio ninguna molestia. Super pendientes de mi, todo para que estuviese comoda. Las vistas alucinantes la verdad.

La propriété est assez loin de la ville si on ne passe pas par les rails du train. Les propriétaires ne nous ont pas indiqué comment aller en ville, ni les bons plans ce qui nous a fait payer des tuktuks pour des endroits qui étaient accessibles à 5min à pied en passant par les rails. C’est dommage.

エッラの市内からは離れていますが、その分静かで目の前は豊かな自然が広がっていました。 市内までは宿の前にある線路を歩いて10分ほどです。 4泊し、朝食は毎日少し異なりスリランカで食べた朝食で一番でした。 室内も清潔で、テラスで過ごす時間がとても良かったです。 ゆっくりと過ごしたい人にはとてもオススメです。

Alojamiento en una ubicacion privilegiada, a pesar de estarr alejado del caotico centro de Ella( A 12 minutos de reloj del centro por las vias del tren) tiene unas vistas excepcionales. Desayuno rico y variado para disfrutar desde la terraza con vistas al Ella Rock y cascadas. Los snfitriones muy amables y siempre dispuestos a ayudar.

Por poner alguna cosa, eztaban en obras en la habitacion de al lado, pero en ningun momento interfirioʻ en nuestro dia a dia.

El duelo era muy amable, las vistas impresionantes.

La habitación era un cajón, sin ventilación, era la número 105, había nidos de hormigas en la bañera y arañas en la habitación. Puede que fuera porque estaban en obras pero es cierto que daba sensación de agobio por el calor, y aunque estaba al parecer limpio parecía sucio.

In una delle 2 stanze che abbiamo prenotato c’era un forte odore di muffa che ha reso il soggiorno in quella stanza poco piacevole.

I liked the rural location of the homestay, its disconnected and calm and quiet. Nearby many hiking trails and locations.

It is completely inaccessible, hard to get there, there are no lights at night, the homestay has no working wifi (wifi only worked 2 days out of my 6 nights stay). There were no measures taken at all to control pests in the room. I literally woke up everyday with insects and pests on my bed. The homestay also has poor phone signal.

Un des meilleurs hôtels que j’ai fais pendant tout mon voyage en Asie. La vue est dingue et l’hôtel est incroyable. C’est très propre. Même de la salle de bains vous avez une belle vue. Le petit déjeuné est très bon et vous le dégustez sur votre terrasse. C’est très calme. Franchement si je reviens au Sri Lanka je n’hésiterai pas du tout à revenir ici. En 10 min à pied vous êtes dans le centre de Ella en suivant le chemin de fer donc très pratique. La famille était absolument adorable et prêt à tout pour vous aider

Lovely family hosting, spacious new rooms and bathroom, comfortable beds. Stanning views of Ella Rock, Waterfalls and little Adamspeak from the big, cozy balcony. Quiet location within walking distance from Ella Town (15min easy walking) We would highly recommend staying there.

Notre plus beau logement au Sri Lanka. Nous avions une très grande chambre avec superbe terrasse vue sur les montagnes et une cascade. On peut même profiter de la vue depuis la douche! Petit déjeuner délicieux. Les hôtes étaient vraiment très gentils. Nous y reviendrons, c'est certain! Petit plus la ballade qui va vers Ella Rock passe juste devant le logement!

Tæt på Ella og 15 minutters gang på jernbanen. Dejligt stille sted med udsigt til vandfaldet, og lækker forskellig lokal morgenmad alle dage.

La camera è dotata di bagno privato e ampio letto matrimoniale. Inoltre c'è un grande terrazzo con un vista stupenda su Ella's Rock. La colazione è variegata ed abbondante. Lo staff molto gentile

La struttura non è semplice da raggiungere. Rispetto al centro di Ella è necessario fare almeno 20 minuti a piedi oppure scegliere il percorso più breve che però prevede di passare dalle rotaie del treno. Nulla di pericoloso, il treno si sente in lontananza e si fa in tempo a scansarsi, ma è giusto dirlo. Inoltre in questo periodo ci sono lavori di espansione della struttura che hanno reso impossibile godersi la permanenza.

Het uitzicht is Fantastisch op de Ella Rock en een waterval. Ontbijten op het terras is heel erg leuk. De locatie was voor ons prima. Je loopt zo het spoor op en 800meter verder en je bent in Ella centrum. Ook loop je over het spoor naar Ella Rock. Ontzettend lieve mensen die de home stay runnen.

Er wordt gebouwd direct tegen het appartement aan en wij zaten voor ons gevoel in een bouwput. Was fijn geweest als we dit hadden geweten of er een compensatie voor was gegegeven. Het appartement aan zich is prima qua ruimte echter ontbreekt het aan wat luxe. Koelkast stond noet bij een stoompan, waardoor de koelkast niet aan kon..de badkamer is aan een opknapbeurt toe, de wc bril hangt helemaal los.

Posizione incantevole. Camera (e ottima Colazione) con vista mozzafiato. Camera pulita e abbastanza spaziosa e accogliente. Personale cortese A 10 minuti di passeggiata da centro.

E’ raggiungibile solo con il tuk tuk. Questo rende complesso il check in ed il check out con auto (dovrebbero avercelo segnalato).

Den flotteste udsigt i Ella ud over fantastisk højland og vandfald. Helt fantastisk med toget der kører lige foran. Rigtig hyggeligt, at gå til byen eller på opdagelse langs togskinnerne. Værterne var rigtig søde og imødekommende. Morgenmaden var fin.

Het uitzicht is prachtig! Hele vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. De kamer en badkamer waren goed en schoon. Het ontbijt is heerlijk! De tuktuk brengt je in 5/ 10 minuten naar het leuke centrum van Ella. De mensen kunnen je met van alles helpen.

Breathtaking views, nice accommodation, wonderful hosts, amazing breakfast

Breakfasts are delicious and always on time and the views are absolutely stunning. The place was absolutely spotless when we arriced. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay again. The studio is very spacious with a large terrace where you can relax and eat your breakfast.

The only downside would be the internet connection that was very weak and unstable at times, but we didn't come to Ella to watch movies so that was never an issue for us.

Amazing location from where you can wake up to the sunrise, the sounds of jungle and a waterfall. We liked everything (the host family, location, view, breakfast, dinner, hospitality) about this accommodation. Location might be a little away from the centre for some, but we enjoyed being in a quiet environment. The town can be quite noisy...

This was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka! The view is just incredible, it was lovely eating our breakfast out on the terrace. It was very quiet at night time and yet only 10mins walk into Ella which was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere and managed the sunrise hike up Ella rock while our host kindly organised the breakfast for our return. I cannot recommend this place more!

Stayed in this fantastic homestay for 3 nights and everything was perfect. The location is ideal as the room had amazing views of the mountains and waterfall and was so peaceful yet you can walk into the centre of town in 10 minutes along the railway line. The room is spacious, clean and had all the facilities we needed including a large bathroom. The hosts were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and served each morning on the private terrace. We would definitely recommend staying at this homestay.

Its an amazing place to stay in ella. 10min of walking to the city center and little bit in the dschungel. The hosts were extremely nice and picked me up at the trsi

The breakfast was excellent, also the dinner we asked to prepare for us. The family is very nice. Our kids was playing very nice with host’s kids. They actually made a surprise, they brought the Christmas tree and presents for kids. They offer laundry service and was very useful. The room is very modern and very very clean, in comparison with many other properties we stayed in Sri Lanka. In front of the house is the railway but ther is no problem, the last train passes around 8 pm and the first around 7 am. So during the night is very quite. Is such a great experience to walk on the railway to the small ravana waterfall, which you can see from the property, or to the nine arch bridge. The view from the property is, like all the other reviews says, outstanding. Is was an excellent experience for us.

Views were stunning. The only noise was the sound of nature and the slight noise of the waterfall- absolutely charming. Very friendly,, helpful and polite family. Excellent breakfast. Great size room with veranda and dining table - what a panorama and view to enjoy breakfast or dinner - unbeatable..

Although the location was stunning, and was only 7 minutes from centre of town by tuktuk it was on a fairly steep hill - perhaps not suitable for the infirm.

15min walk to the main town along the railway line, in the jungle. Trains start at 6;50am which will wake you up with them shaking the building, BUT if you look past that the views and location are outstanding!! Breakfast was great too.

Had an issue with the hotel water and water pressure, but that seems to be a general issue with staying in the mountains. Apart from that, all very good.

This place had the most amazing view! It was spacious, light and clean, with a big terrace overlooking the Little Ravana Waterfall. Once we arrived we wanted to just stay there our entire stay and enjoy the views. Breakfast was great and varying every day. The family who owns the place was nice and helpful. They also prepared a delicious curry for dinner on one of our nights. The center of Ella with all restaurants is just 10 min away following the traintracks (everyone uses this way) and is actually a nice and calm walk. There were mosquito nets for both our bed and our baby’s cot. Perhaps our best stay in Sri Lanka. :)

Laundry service was a bit pricey, but everything else was just great!

- stunning view from terrace, you sit amidst the greens but with a panoramic view of the waterfalls and valley - easy 10 min walk to the village along the train tracks (rare for the view) - lovely owners - amazing and diverse breakfast

- For two nights, we had to take cold showers. Apparently, warm water depends on sunshine or other weather factors. Therefore, warm water is rather an on top benefit than a guarantee here. - Wifi works sometimes and rather slowly - Windows don't close completely, there are open spaces and no nets. Hence, insects can come in and we had small frogs in our bathroom twice. But there is a mosquito net over the bed!

The view is awesome and the breakfast was excellent. A great location just out of the action, but still close to the centre of town. Easy and enjoyable walk along the railway tracks to reach transport and food.

The property was very clean. The owners were lovely and having the wonderful breakfast served on a balcony overlooking a waterfall and the famous train line was special. Walking in to Ella was a quick 10 minutes along the train line which was a quaint experience. We even did it in the dark on the way back and felt totally safe. The property was comfortable and there was a modern hot shower.

The fridge in the room didn’t work. Our vehicle couldn’t get down the last road/track to the property and so we had to hire a Tuk Tuk. Luckily one was there waiting and we took his number to take us and the luggage back up to our vehicle at the end of our stay. It wasn’t a problem but was just a bit of a surprise after a long journey when we arrived.

Property accessible for small cars / tuk tuk. Our bigger 8 seater van could not access the property. The host helped with shuttle service with his own car. Wifi was either not working or very weak. Facebook and messenger did not work. Could be blocked. We stayed 3 nights, only got hot water for shower 1 night. Water pressure very low.

Views from here are just insane, good breakfast and very welcome stuff. Road to the center takes about 10 minutes by walking on railways (both locals and tourists use this way)

The view over the waterfall was stunning. Breakfast was very good. An easy walk down the railway track to town, (10 minutes) and a40 minutes the other direction to the waterfalls.

Absolutely amazing! The view from the apartment is gorgeous. Room is spacious, clean and tidy. The owners are such a lovely people, helping with everything. Breakfast served on the terrace was the best we had in the whole Sri Lanka. Short walking distance from the centre. Highly recommended!

The most amazing thing is the view from the private terrace,, priceless! Also, the guest house is very private and we were alone in the whole place. The owners were friendly and useful. Location is also quite good as it's 15 minutes walking from Ella city center. Highly recommended!

The cleanest stay we had in Sri Lanka. The place was spotless and well thought out with items that are needed to make the stay feel like home such as a fridge and hair dryer. Not far out of Ella but far enough away to be able to fully enjoy the stunning area and away from the dusty busy main strip. The hosts were very polite, extremely helpful and provided a beautiful breakfast each morning which we could enjoy with the stunning view, sound of the water fall and train passing by. Highly recommend this home stay.

If I had to made a suggestion I would say for the host to add a phone number to the listing, as we had trouble finding the property in a tuk tuk when we arrived in the dark.

Lovely big terrace with a sunrise view which I really enjoyed. Room was spacious and comfortable. Family were welcoming and helped with any plans for Ella. There was an issue with the wifi box and they didn’t stop until it was fixed. Breakfast was delicious. Ella just a short walk down the railway track.

It’s hard to get on the car. The railroad is very close, so be ready to wake up at 6am with a train engine.

Very beautiful view from the room to the waterfall and very short way to go by foot to the Ella City Center. Dimuthu and his wife are very friendly and supportive when planning activties or Transport.

This is the loveliest place we have stayed in Sri Lanka and the highlight of our time in Ella. Dimuthu and Asangika are perfect hosts. We had Asangika’s dinners each night - real home cooking. WiFi good. Fridge in the room. Amazing veranda view over Ella Rock, Ella Gap and the waterfall. And the train passes right below! If we return to Sri Lanka we will return to Ella just to stay here again - but for longer!

The view from the room was amazing, hills, Ella Rock, mist, trains. I enjoyed our stay at the property which was within walking distance to the main town with restaurants and shops. If you are staying here, consider also the restaurants along the track by walking the opposite direction to the town. Good local food with good prices. The room was spacious, with the fridge. No aircon however it wasn't needed; the fan was sufficient. The breakfast was good, although I wasn't sure why we were kept served bread if it is not a part of the local cuisine.

A couple of items for improvement: hot water system and tap in the sink. Other than that, everything was great!

Dimuthu was super nice, she made us tea two times while we were waiting to check in/out. Apartment is very beautiful and it has one of the best views on valley and mountains. Breakfast was delicious, especially pineapple jam!

Beautifull clean rooms wit an excellent view. The location is perfect: easy to walk to Ella via the train track in a few minutrs. And the food is just wauw! We had breakfast and dinner, we even had a cooking class here and we loved it!!! Do not look further, book this homestay!

Dimuthu and Family gave us good place , tasty foods and good protection . During our stay we felt we stay with our neighbor friends . We asked some foods for our baby and Dimuthu's wife prepared very tasty foods for our baby also. My small son loved that view and place. He needs to stay there on our next vacation also. We didn't face any difficulties during our stay. When we request some needed things they provided very kindly . We wish all the best for Dimuthu's Family . Highly recommend for nature view lovers and calm environment lovers.
