Misty View Inn

Familia super atenta y servicial. Habitacion muy bien y la mosquitera es perfecta para que no te piquen los mosquitos. Las vistas son increíbles. El desayuno de 10! Muy recomendable.

El único inconveniente es que está un poco apartado pero en tuktuk puedes ir en 3/4 minutos.

Famille accueillante et à l’écoute. Nous avons pu laisser nos sacs après notre checkout pour aller se balader. Très bon petit déjeuner et logement très propre.

Le logement est un peu éloigné de la ville mais c’était bien indiqué dans l’annonce et il est facile de prendre un tuktuk pour se rendre en ville pour pas cher.

Bellissima famiglia, gentilissimi e disponibilissimi, colazione molto buona e abbondante e sempre differenziata. Ho deciso di rimanere di più per quanto mi sono trovata bene, la stanza al piano di sopra ha una vista sul verde ed è bellissimo fare colazione vedendo gli scoiattoli e il suono degli uccelli, lontano dal caos cittadino, ma raggiungibile a piedi in 20/30 minuti (ma all’ultimo ho scoperto esserci una scorciatoia che arriva direttamente sui binari di ella). Inoltre sempre da lì raggiungibile con una bella passeggiata sui binari il nine arch. Per me che amo passeggiare è stato comunque un piacere, amo stare nel verde e lì non manca. A 50 mt un piccolo chiosco/alimentari che dà del cibo ottimo ad ottimi prezzi, ci ho mangiato tutte le sere.

Poněkud dále od centra může být pro někoho problém, ale bez toho by nebyl ten pobyt v přírodě.

Het was heel schoon, ruime kamer en het uitgebreide ontbijt was geweldig lekker! Een goede bodem voor de vele hikes.

De locatie. Op booking staat 0.7km maar je moet echt verder lopen en helemaal savonds in het pikkedonker niet heel chill. Iedere keer tuktuks zijn best een uitgave als soloreiziger. Maar de vader van de gastvrouw kon me voor 400 nog wel een paar keer brengen.

Vlakbij het centrum, maar super rustig. Prachtig groen uitzicht. Heerlijk ontbijt. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame host. Mooie kamer, goede wifi.

Niks

L'hôte est extrêmement bienveillant. le petit déjeuner vraiment très bon et copieux. L'emplacement est intéressant situé sur la petite route du pont aux 9 arches dans un très beau cadre de verdure, loin des bruits de Ella. Le propriétaire a un tuk tuk, il nous a raccompagnés au bus pour un tarif raisonnable. N'hésitez pas, la vue sur le jardin est top. Numéro un sur notre circuit d'un mois en rapport agrément /prix.

La amabilidad de los anfitriones es excelente. El desayuno es muy bueno también. La habitación es amplia y en general está bastante limpia. Está a unos 10 minutos en tuk tuk del centro. El dueño se ofreció a llevarnos y a recogernos por 500 rupias el trayecto.

La chambre est très confortable ave une jolie vue sur la végétation. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. La famille a été très attentionnée, très arrangeante et très disponible pour faire de notre séjour à Ella un merveilleux moment. Nous la remercions infiniment pour son hospitalité et sa gentillesse.

Grande chambre propre et confortable à l’écart du centre ville. Hôte très prévenant et qui nous a proposé des trajets en tuk tuk à un très bon prix. Petit déjeuner très bon et très copieux.

The host was extremely nice, greeting us with Tea/Coffee and cookies. The breakfast was great, and the resting area in front of the room is quiet and nice

The place is relatively isolated and requires a 20 minutes walk uphill to the city center area. The room structure was a bit odd

Breakfast was good as usual. Location was little bit far from town but it is okay to if you want to walk. View from room is good.

There should have a wardrobe in the room. Bath Shower was loose. Towels was not so good.

Hotel is excellent. One of the best customer service I have had. That owner uncle helped for everything. Even when we are coming from train he came to pick up us. Breakfast is excellent. Hot water is always available. Rooms are clean and spacious. Family room inside there is one separate bed also which is away from main bed. Anyone this place is highly recommended in ella.

Beds were not really comfortable.

Misty view is located perfectly if you want some peace and quiet away from the busy town but close enough. The owners are fabulously friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

Location

The host is extremely friendly and the breakfast the best possible- truly amazing and worth coming there just for it. Our daughter loved the tiny additional room.

Location isn’t ideal, but it’s just a short drive to town by tuk tuk. Internet didn’t work all the time, but was mostly ok.

The host was really good. He made us comfortable and provided with clean towels and bedding. The breakfast was really good and sumptuous.

This is our second stay at Misty View Inn albeit the first time was 6 years ago! We were remembered and warmly welcomed like family - and this filled our hearts with joy. The guesthouse is situated 1.5kms from Ella township with views of the hills beyond. It's situated in a quiet area, away from the busy-ness of Ella. The breakfasts are wonderful - delicious with seasonal fruit (from Mahinda or his family's garden), coconut pancakes and other delights. The best thing has to be Mahinda and his lovely family - such genuine warmth, kindness and generosity. We were sad to leave after a fabulous 3 days stay and hope we can return in the future.

Attraction and appearance should be improve

It was a welcoming place. The host is nice and friendly. The room and the washroom were very clean. Host gave us very nice breakfast. She also arranged us good dinner at some extra cost.

The entrance is a bit narrow. I had some trouble getting the car up. But after host cleared the path and it became easier. You don't get much of a view of the mountain from the place. But a little walk like 100 m from the place gives you an amazing view of beautiful mountains around.

The hotel is near to Ella station, you need to walk to right side and go backward If you train is from kandy to ella direction, that is a small gate which is open, turn right and keep walking, you will reach the hotel like around 300 meters. we don't know this and tuk tuk charge us 800rp for 1.5km distance ( yes, nowadays ella is hot and this is where tuk tuk come to find money). The location is near to 3 arch bridge, just walk 300 meters and hike up 2 min, you already reached 3 arch bridge, you should go take some photo there or just enjoy there because there is no body usually. The host an south Indian uncle which is Buddhism and he is great and friendly, we ask if he could drive us around to tea factory and nine arch bridge, and he is ok and charge us with reasonable price and also buy some snack for us, end up we buy a coconut drink for him at the small entrance to the nine arch bridge Also not to mentioned the free breakfast is delicious.

This is my second stay at Misty View Inn. The host and his family were most caring and kind folks. Sameera, the tuk-tuk driver they arranged for me took me to the Nine Arches Bridge and showed me around Ella beyond all my expectations. He's an excellent driver cum guide. The food served at Nihal kade was delicious. It's again my lovely host Mr Karunarathne who introduced them to me. I had an early checking-in as the train reached Ella earlier than I'd expected it to. My host and his family arranged it at such short notice, which was a great relief for me. I spent three nights at Misty View Inn and it was absolutely fantastic. The room I occupied is large enough to accommodate even a family of four or more. It's about 1.5 km from Ella town, but the walk from Ella town to Misty View Inn is a magnificent nature trail. I immensely enjoyed going up and down it. From Misty View I went sightseeing in Badulla - Muthiyangana temple and Dunhindha Falls - and then in Koslanda - Diyaluma Falls. The next day I paid a visit to the storied Adisham Bungalow in Haputale and also the Ravana Falls. All in all, Misty View Inn is a cool place to stay in and also to travel to other areas by bus or train as you prefer. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent homestay in Ella.

There's absolutely nothing to complain about.

The stay was brilliant with an amazing breakfast and possibility to hire Tuk Tuk. Family was super sweet to make the stay as good as possible.

The family that runs the home stay is so wonderful and sweet. They took me in last minute for a booking. When i arrived they offered me tea and cookies. The breakfast in the morning was great and super filling. And The morning I left they offered me a free ride into town on the tuk tuk. This was a perfect stay!
