Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Nous avons eu un très bon contact avec notre charmante hôtesse qui nous a accueillis et conseillés sur les lieux à visiter. La chambre était très confortable et le petit déjeuner à la carte très appréciable avec beaucoup de choix. La maison est située dans un endroit très calme avec une jolie vue sur la campagne. Nous n’étions qu’à quelques minutes en voiture de la jolie ville d’Ardara.
On aurait apprécié une connexion WIFI un peu plus performante.

Breakfast was not our kind of breakfast. We prefer an Irish cooked breakfast. No window in room, we had to leave the patio day open all night. Location was not near any towns. Definitely not for us.

Helen and Gerard met us at the door which was a lovely touch, they both have a warm and welcoming persona and made us feel special. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, bed and bathroom facilities were very good. Previous guests had TV tuned to German, but Gerard was very helpful in tuning to English, he is now a tech wizard. Helen and Gerard were lovely hosts and nothing was too much bother, they were very happy to help. The accommodation is their family home, with lots of family pictures around, I am so happy that both Helen and Gerard feel happy to share this with their guests.
No real negative feedback to give, however, Breakfast provided was lovely and filling, however choices of Eggs and cooked meats would have been nice -

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026The An Charraig Ban is located directly at the main road leading to Ardara - but not troubled with traffic noise. The Continental breakfast is good, providing many choices. The WLAN is functional, the bathrooms clean and in excellent condition. Ardara is very close and easy to reach - many restaurants provide good food and the base for a nice evening.
There is no option for a full Irish breakfast.

Reviewed May 30, 2026Helen was welcoming and accommodating for our 3 night stay in one of the most beautiful areas in Ireland. (Definitely our favorite!) She is so organized and had a wonderful breakfast waiting for us each morning along with suggestions of adventures we could enjoy in the area - scenic hikes, wondrous beaches and places to enjoy nearby for dinner. We appreciated clean, comfortable accommodations and top notch hospitality. My suggestion is to stay longer if you can!s

Reviewed May 5, 2026Die Unterkunft lag direkt an unserer Route in den Norden Irlands und diente nur als Zwischenstopp. Wie auf den Fotos, ist es wirklich sehr ruhig gelegen. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich. Wir waren allerdings 15 Minuten zu früh beim Check in. War wohl nicht so toll! Also: pünktlich sein!😉 Das ganze Haus war tip top sauber. Das Frühstück kam wie bestellt. Das war super! Klare Empfehlung!
Auch hier waren uns die Räume zu kalt. Als wir ankamen wurde die Elektroheizung erst angestellt. Schade, denn ich komme sehr gern in ein gemütliches Zimmer.

Reviewed Nov 19, 2025Warmful welcoming and excellent breakfast. The facilities are good, even if more space in the bathroom would have been nice. The bedroom is simple and fine. The bay window is thin, so the sound and heat insulation is lacking. But at least the neighborhood is quiet and secluded from town centers, and a radiator has logically been placed next to the bay window.
As a whole family lives there, when you get outside or to the living room, you follow a corridor with private accesses, so you might feel un-at-ease when you go out of the bedroom during night, in case of insomnia for example, or if you get up early in the morning around 5am to 7am for example.

In camera e in bagno faceva freddo quando siamo arrivati. Abbiamo acceso il riscaldamento ma ci ha messo abbastanza prima di scaldare la camera. Comunque poi siamo stati molto bene.

Matelas médiocre pour le lit une place. Une partie de la cloison de la chambre donnant sur le couloir était transparente. Certes, les carreaux sont floutés mais on ne se sent pas en toute intimité, d'autant plus que dès que la lumière du couloir est allumée la nuit, la chambre est aussi éclairée. Il y a d'ailleurs une guirlande lumineuse juste devant... Je trouve cela choquant de ne pas pouvoir être dans le noir la nuit dans une chambre d'hôtel. Isolation phonique mauvaise donc dès que quelqu'un bouge ou parle, tout le monde est au courant.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2025Camera pulita e spaziosa con buona colazione. Non c'è molta insonorizzazione tra le camere quindi si sente quando qualcuno cammina sia sopra che accanto, ma fa parte dell'identità del luogo. A 4 Min di auto c'è un piccolo centro con qualche Pub per la sera. Consigliato
Le camere al piano terra hanno una grande finestra che da sul cortile di ingresso con solo una tenda oscurante spessa, per cui o si sta al buio oppure da fuori si vede completamente dentro la camera. Consiglierei di mettere una tenda bianca leggera per la privacy
