Lovely welcome from Victoria. Gorgeous historic building and a cosy, classically styled room with all the contemporary touches for comfort. Beautiful sitting room with fire and thoughtful touches of hospitality throughout. Also, super clean. Would definitely stay again.
Extremly friendly host, made us feel at home and comfortable. Inviting living area to brouse beautiful coffee table books, excellent breakfast of home made müsli an bread and freshly baked eggs. Rooms are warm with all modern comforts including underfloor heating in the bathroom. Will stay again.
Excellent location, tastefully furnished and decorated. Delicious cooked breakfast.
Great accommodation. Beautifully presented. Modern yet retained its historic charm.
Everything was perfect thank you. Victoria was a wonderful host and we really appreciated the kate check out which made our morning so relaxing. Thank you all so much.
Great charm and character. Even better service..
Victoria was exceptional and so accommodating. The room was so clean and tidy with all the facilities. Breakfast was exceptional.
Everything was fine.
Comfy modern rooms but also retained lots of old period features
Spotless and spacious

Good location
Beautiful old boutique hotel in the main street of Clyde. Tastefully decorated with period furniture. It was a watercolourists heaven with all the autumn golds.
All good
Very good breakfast and we were treated like royalty. Highly recommend
Excellent breakfast
Very comfortable, quiet, central, lovely lounge and very helpful manager/owner. Baked eggs for breakfast were delicious. Plenty of room for bikes.
All fabulous.
Stunning refurbishment of an old hotel, no tv in the room, great wifi
No fridge in the room, however there is one situated on landing outside the rooms for your tea/coffee needs
Location was amazing. Facilities were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Victoria was a wonderful hostess. Beautiful place and delicious breakfast.
The location was excellent and the Lord Clyde was really perfect - great rooms and great amenities.
The staff and breakfast
Loved the homely atmosphere. Breakfast was lovely and the baked eggs amazing. Victoria was just lovely and so accommodating.
The rooms were large, clean and comfortable.
A decent coffee machine at breakfast would make a big difference. A Nespresso or self-serve machine would be superb. Also more variety of cooked breakfast, eggs in particular would be good. When you are paying $500+ a night I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
Fantastic attention to detail Victoria was brilliant

So clean & comfortable, well located & breakfast was truly delicious!
The Lord Clyde is a beautiful hotel in Clyde. We were greeted by Victoria on our arrival, she was an exceptional host. The hotel is beautiful and felt extremely welcoming. The rooms were divine, with gorgeous beds. To top it off Victoria cooked us a divibe breakfast before we left. Go and stay at the Lord Clyde you will not be disappointed. If you want a gorgeous restaurant just go next door to the old post office restaurant and definitely have the seafood chowder, it is a stunner as were the hosts - thanks debbie
Absolutely nothing
The property and its location are wonderful.
We did not have many food options.
We loved our stay at The Lord Clyde so much that we stayed an extra night. Victoria was most welcoming and produced a lovely breakfast each morning. The suite we stayed in was spacious and very comfortable. Being in the Main Street of Clyde many restaurants, cafes and shops were within walking distance. We highly recommend The Lord Clyde and would definitely stay here again.
Location - could walk to everything in Clyde and we enjoyed lovely accommodation in a beautifully renovated building maintaining its historic charm.

Victoria's service was warm and welcoming. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
Our room was a bit small, with little space for two open suitcases. I'd request a larger room next time.
Really enjoyed our one night stay. Veronica was a fabulous host and enjoyed our conversation with her at the breakfast table.
Location and property are very fitting for the area
Location perfect. Breakfast extra special, loved the baked eggs, fresh fruit and friendly conversation with our host. The property is full of historic character, is beautifully furnished, a real gem!

Beautiful heritage building with gorgeous update
Beautifully renovated historic building. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly and accommodating hostess.
The Lord Clyde is such a beautiful, immaculately cared for, old building. The decor is lovely. The breakfast provided is delicious and wholesome. The beds and bed linen are so comfortable, we had such good sleeps. Victoria is the wonderful host and the room staff are also lovely.
There was nothing to not like.
Loved everything about The Lord Clyde. Victoria is a charming and gracious host. Super comfortable bed. Great breakfast.
This is a historic hotel that has been updated to a quite luxurious accommodation. (Our room was named after Emily Siedeberg, the first woman in New Zealand to graduate from medical school.) Amazing bathrooms. Milk available in refrigerator in the hall outside our room. Great breakfast with opportunity to interact with other guests. Helpful suggestions for places to eat.
No air con, so fan was critical. Some "glitches" in the way the fan ran, but hopefully corrected by now.
Fabulous hotel, nice rooms, comfortable beds, breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Bonus was the lovely garden and lounge areas with comfortable seating.

Great breakfast
We felt our room was expensive compared with our travelling companions
A beautiful property. The room is huge!
All excellent. Tasteful and very very clean
This property is unique, very old and stately. Beautifully kept outdoor space. Lady who runs this hotels special. She lives adjacent and is always available. She is hands on with everything and it all runs smoothly.
Loved everything except we didn’t stay long enough!
Beautiful property, in the wonderful town of Clyde. Rooms were very comfortable, breakfast was wonderful and common spaces were well thought out.

Really gorgeous Hotel. Very old world. Lovely guest lounge, outdoor seating area and breakfast room.
Not that we didn’t like anything but just be aware of No TV and No aircon in the rooms. They do have fans though.
Excellent for both have never stayed in Cluther before enjoyed the ambience lovely setting, staff very welcoming
Nothing completely relaxing & enjoyable food was great staff very efficient & friendly 😀
Lovely setting, great hospitality
From the moment we arrived, Victoria made us feel so welcome. Her beautiful personality, and her welcoming nature just made the check in seamless. The location is superb and the facilities are second to none. The beds are comfortable and to have a bath in our room (Holt Room) was a lovely surprise. The renovation is absolutely beautiful and the decor is lovely. Breakfast was great too. The selection of foods, and the staff are amazing!

Lovely room with a very comfortable bed and large ensuite Welcoming hosts Perfect location for exploring Clyde and local area A generous breakfast provided
Beautiful accomodation and rooms with just a short stroll to dining options. Victoria was just lovely and provided a delicious breakfast and even shared the recipes. Yum!
Nothing. It was perfect
the breakfast was simple and great quality. Limited choices was a delight as the available food was well presented, timely and great quality. More choice would have impacted on this. The use of seasonal local fruit was incredible. Beautifully preserved and delicious.
the limitations of the facilities, such as limited parking, were because of the historic nature of the property and settlement. Not really bothersome
The breakfast was amazing - beautifully presented and exceptionally tasty. Victoria was an incredibly welcoming hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this amazingly renovated hotel.
It would have been nice to have the option of a cooked breakfast - e.g. bacon and eggs, other than the baked eggs (which looked great by the way).
Historic ambience and comfort
Victoria met me on arrival, explained everything about the property. Nearby attractions. The room large spacious and modern. Breakfast was excellent. Nice area to relax. Clean and comfortable. I would happily book again in future. ♥️
