The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom wonderful with very welcome under floor heating. The restaurant attached to the accommodation was amazing. The food was exceptional and the waiter very pleasant to deal with.
Fabulous old building decorated beautifully Full of character and luxury
Nothing
The character of the property.
Superb - loved the breakfast choice (especially the egg/ham cooked pastries)
Very lovely hosts and style and cleanliness of the place was very nice.
Nothing it was great.
Gorgeous history and full of interesting furniture and art
Liked everything
Lovely comfortable room and wonderful breakfast each day. Cosy living room with fire place.
Bathroom was very chilly so didn’t use the wonderful bath tub.
The breakfast was exceptional. Baked eggs were delicious and there was a wide selection of home preserved fruits, breads and cereals. The plates and knives were high quality and suited the style of the house. We appreciated that attention to detail. Our hosts were very open and friendly without being unctuous. We liked the open access and the key in the front door. At the same time we could lock our room and felt secure. Our room was very warm when we arrived and we were made welcome. The bathroom was spacious. The beds were comfortable and the bedside lights were fine for reading. We also were appreciative of the slightly later check out time of 10.30.
An oat milk option would have been delightful but two sorts of milk were provided. A soap free body wash would have been appreciated.
Lovely to return to Oliver’s. Fantastic host, very nice amenities, beautiful restoration since last stay. Friendly, generous staff, wonderful breakfast in house dinning room. Dinner in restaurant was best meal of our trip so far. Comfortable bed. Thank you

The uniqueness of it and historical references. Close to restaurants and shopping area.
Our stay at Olivers Central Otaga was delightful, restful and delicious! David and Andrea are very gracious hosts which made our stay even more special. The most perfectly prepared dinner we had during our 3 week trip was in the restaurant of the hotel. We biked around the area for about 3 hours - also a gorgeous and fun time.

Nice bar and great food
Nothing
Everything, exceptional breakfast and great dinner in restaurant
Absolutely loved breakfast and the beautiful eggs.
We woke with sore backs from the bed and could hear a water pump going through the night whenever someone used the bathroom.
Breakfast was perfect along with everything else
Everything at Oliver’s was fantastic. Great hosts as well
Excellent hosts and accommodation
Had to leave
All round excellent...though they might have to buy a new toaster.
Fantastic location. Great hosts. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful room.
Nothing.
Location, Breakfast, Ambience.
Nothing, everything was well thought out and supplied.
Period property with lovely ambience and beautiful gardens. Delicious breakfast using local ingredients. Lovely products in the bathroom.
Rooms quite small to sit in during evenings.
Amazing facilities, staff very friendly and calming. Loved the courtyard that had lots of options of seating.
Beautiful setting, wonderfully done reno of the old building. Could not fault it.
The mattress was not as supportive as we like, but the rest of the accommodation made up for it.
Lovely room and location - great breakfast Very clean and spotless
We love the location . Breakfast is fantastic
Yes . We had the last room available . Which was two single beds . Fair enough . But this was too expensive for a very small room $360 . It wasn't the normal room we have stayed in the past .It probably should have even explained better.
Everything was perfect. Loved staying in the tack room. Breakfast was delicious. The owners are such lovely people, they have a property to be very proud of. Best dining experience in Clyde..
Wow - beautiful place in a lovely location, David and Andy were fantastic hosts...breakfasts were an absolute treat, can't recommend enough.
Clean stylish and excellent location
Lovely room but tight for space
The style, the warm welcome, the delicious breakfast
Nothing at all
The decor, history, art and location
Nothing
We stayed in the ‘Tack Room’, one of the converted stables room, small but very cosy and well equipped and with a very comfy bed. We could use other rooms and outdoor space for reading and relaxation, and the whole building was a model of tasteful renovation. Our host was really friendly and provided a lovely breakfast. We ate at the restaurant both nights of our stay and food / service was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and we rather sorry to move on.
Nothing of significance
Probably one of the best places we stayed this trip, amazing historical property, Location, warm and welcoming proprietor great breakfast, location
can't think anything
Host was very friendly and helpful throiughout our stay. Room was very nice, bed was extremely comfortable. Shower was a good size, towels were large and thick.
No TV in the room, but really didn’t matter. The cinema is across the street so we went to the movies one night instead.
A stunning upgraded historic site with substantial investment by a couple who wanted to revitalise NZ heritage in Clyde. Utterly brilliant contribution to NZ’s past and a fantastic contribution to today’s tourist industry. A great place to stay in magnificent comfort and luxury.
There was nothing to dislike, it was brilliant.
Like stepping back in time… Elegant… immaculate
Liked the garden in the courtyard. Lovely breakfast. Ideal for a finish to the Otago cycle rail trail.
Unable to get a reservation for dinner, you would think paying that much for a room would guarantee a table for 2. Extremely noisy room from the bar at night up until 11pm. No air con or fan to cool the room. Very dusty, .all cobwebs & dust around the in room bath & somebody elses hairbrush left under the bed, inadequate cleanliness. Felt it was almost Winter decor (sheepskin bed throw, dusty antique ice skates hung on wall ) and very dark lighting, also strange for the death of Nelson to be the chosen print on the wall too! All in all a poor show for the cost, left feeling very disappointed.
Very good
Location - setting of the rooms.
Loved the breakfast, it was excellent.
The breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed chatting to the host . The house is spectacular
Location, beautiful gardens and surroundings with a lot of interesting history

Such a great spot!! Right in the heart of Clyde, gorgeous room with a beautiful bathroom. Super comfortable and clean. The owners were so helpful and nice. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in the area.
Fabulous old cottage style accommodation, beautiful garden. Extremely considerate hosts.
Same breakfast every day, although it was delicious a little variation on a 4 night stay would be better.
Great location, and fantastic breakfast.
Room in shared courtyard didn’t feel completely private but it was still a very good stay.
The beautiful old style buildings and the wonderful old style friendly service.
Nothing!
Incredible breakfast choice
Nothing
Historic house with cozy rooms. Love the owner’s collection of books and maps around the house. David and Andy were lovely and we really enjoyed the breakfast every morning. Food at the restaurant beside it was also fantastic! Overall a great stay!
Nothing.
Great location
Noisy at night with compressor from next door bar going all night. Room was really small , no storage
We had an amazing 2 days at Olivers. The room was beautiful with lots of old touches. It was also very well appointed with lots of space and chairs. We were in a room at the very front of the house. It had a lovely big bathroom with a claw bath tub as well as shower, toilet vanity. It also had a great tea and coffee facilities as big plus for me who is a big tea drinker. You can make them in your room everything is provided including you can get a jug of milk anytime from the Kitchen. The Kitchen and dinning room is fantastic with tea, herbal and normal and coffee available to help your self whenever. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Lovely berries and apricots and homemade bread and baked eggs. Just a two min walk from room to main street and everything you need including Restaurants and cafes etc. Service and staff were excellent. Highly recommend.
Couldn't fault it.
Beautifully appointed, nice breakfast in the lodge. Enjoyed the clawfoot bath and tea selection. Nice and quiet.
Room was dusty. Disappointed that We couldn’t get a reservation for dinner onsite , being a small town there are limited options.
breakfast was fantastic very yummy and lots on offer
the fact we couldnt stay longer great property and great hosts
We loved our stay at Olivers Central Otago. David and Andi were brilliant hosts and made us feel completely welcome. Clyde is an idyllic town and the perfect base for exploring Central Otago, with Bike It Now conveniently located just across the street. The hotel’s dining space, with its rustic stone walls and 19th century decor, felt like stepping back in time. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend Olivers to anyone visiting the region.
Great location to access bike hire and trails. Friendly and professional staff. Rooms in keeping with the history of the area but still offering all the modern facilities. Tip: If it suits your budget, have dinner at Olivers restaurant. Delicious!
It was all great.😊
It was so charming, steeped in history, cosy and quaint. Their superb restaurant next door didn’t disappoint, I have stopped on route for the restaurant for the last 15 years but never stayed but seized my chance and enjoyed every minute.

Beautiful rooms and excellent breakfast
Nothing, it was all great
Our second stay here and we look forward to our next visit. Everything was just perfect and our hosts were so friendly and accomodating we felt welcomed and comfortable. What a beautiful place with so much history.
We loved everything about this property. It was just luxurious, a gorgeous home and spectacular grounds. The bathroom was the best I have seen!
Nothing
Fabulously comfortable bedding and cosy warm ensuite. Scrumptious fruit and museli for breakfast
Everything was perfect, very luxurious. Loved the breakfast a lot of delicious homemade goodies.
I wish I could have stayed longer 😆
Delightfully old world, but very comfortable and luxurious. The shower was modern day and excellent. The communal spaces were like being in a museum. The host David was most welcoming, and a great breakfast chef. Our dog was welcomed. I would recommend this just as an adventure. It was delightful. We have already recommended Oliver's to others.
Gorgeous character building in a beautiful town.
excellent -enticed away by Victoria
Perfectly restored character property in a great location with very welcoming and attentive staff.
Everything was wonderful
Everything! The beautiful home, immaculately furnished, divine location and wonderful hosts
Lovely historic buildings and classy touches
What a great breakfast! Stewed fruits from the orchard and baked eggs especially good. Beautifully restored building and owners happy to share their knowledge of the area. Highly recommend the restaurant.
