The breakfast was delicious and the host is soo friendly together with the staff.

We came a little later than the check in time but because we informed them about our situation and they understood, they didn't charge us

1. The room we slept in was super small for the both of us 2. They hardly clean the outside verandah and the pool also 3. They are racist 🙄 we didn't have breakfast on our check out day because they were attend some Chinese people us as blacks were treated like trash even after we told them out bus leaves early, we left super hungry and disappointed 😞

The rooms are super clean, especially the bathrooms. Breakfast was a good setup and it's close to everywhere you want to be in Umhlanga. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

The path from the carpark to the entrance of the unit - it was raining and the pathway was not under shelter.

I liked their service, the owner and her staff were amazing. The location is in a great place, where you are able to walk to restaurants and supermarkets👌🏾 there are patrol cars even at night so it's quite safe. Its close to the beach too. If you are ever in Durban, this is a great place to stay in ❤️❤️ I'd recommend it to anyone. It was worth it. Definite 10/10 facilities are clean. Friendly staff. I am coming back again. Prices are affordable too🥰

A pousada é muito bem localizada, o quarto é super bem montado e confortável, com todos os ítens necessários para uma ótima estadia. É uma rua silenciosa, apesar de muito próxima de um núcleo de restaurantes e comércio. Também isso é um ponto favorável: próxima à praia e também aos restaurantes.

Achei o horário do café da manhã muito restrito. Na prática não começava antes das 8:00 e, após às 9:00 ( em função de um compromisso um de nós teve que tomar café mais tarde) também era mais restrito, já não tinha frutas disponíveis. No horário das 8:00, algumas vezes, não tinham mesas disponíveis para todos os hóspedes.

The room and bathroom are elegantly decorated. Gina, the host is awesome, very friendly and helpful.

The remote for my TV in the room was not working for my 4 day stay. Then google play stopped working and without the remote was unable to watch TV. The breakfast was good, however more variety would have been welcomed, as you eat the same breakfast everyday.

Fantastic location, rooms well equipped with aircon and very clean. The host was lovely and really helpful. Walkable to shopes etc. The propery had alot of character and I felt very much at home. The breakfast was very good as well.

Room ws a little dark and could have done with a window to open at night, as I didnt want to leave the patio doors open and unlocked. No big issue really.

I was under the impression from the travel websites that The Villa was self-catering whereas the room just had a small kitchenette, with limited kitchenware and no wash-up basin, no stove/oven, only a small bar fridge. etc. It would help if the breakfast hours were longer, e.g., 10/10.30. (I'm not a morning person, and was in Durban for leisure, not work.) I requested twin beds so my brother could stay for a few days, but the bed was intended for a couple. More free/available plug-points (including 2-pin) would be useful for charging devices, etc.

The location is perfect and the property in general very good. The public spaces are excellent. The bathroom was good with a nice shower and also a bath. Good parking, with direct access into the room

Our stay in suite 8 was disappointing as the room is rather compact. The wardrobe is old and dilapidated, to the point where opening and closing proved difficult. Due to the size of the room, living from a suitcase is not an option as there is nowhere to put any suitcase. Most disappointing was that when returning late from a day out we found the room left open (door wide open) with the housekeper's key still in the lock.

Luxurious....private, homely. It gave my 5year old son and I the best experience for a weekend away.🥰

The was no blanket or fleece for chills in the bed. But there is aircon to warm up the room....

The aircon was not working The TV was not working The staff was not around when needing assistance. I asked for the TV to be fixed and till the day I left it was not sorted. My husband and I went out to have fun, got back, locked the gate and closed the door and forgot to lock it. The staff member came and knocked very hard on our door and started shouting at us for not locking the door

Echt een toplocatie! Sfeervolle inrichting en supervriendelijk personeel dat voor je klaarstaat. Het is een veilige buurt waar je ook in het donker met een gerust hart naar de restaurants wandelt.

De kamer was erg mooi ingericht, maar qua oppervlakte wel wat krap. We merkten dat er weinig ruimte overbleef voor onze koffers, wat het soms wat onhandig maakte in de kamer.

I loved the entire stay had no big concerns. the staff were very friendly and helpful. the room was always clean. I only wish i could have stayed longer to enjoy the facilities and just relax in the fantastic room.

A bigger mat in the bathroom would have been nice, i slipped. fortunately just a bruised ego. I also found it awkward to sit in bed and have a cup coffee i had to turn completely around to put my cup on the cement shelf behind me. Not major issues.

We had to come earlier as my husband had to attend an urgent meeting. I asked if I could just wait outside by the pool area not expecting any other services but I was denied which I think could have been accommodated since we came all the way from Newcastle. I also specifically asked for a deluxe suit but on arrival we were going to be put in a standard bedroom.... I first had to prove that I specifically booked for the room.

The ambiance of the entire B&B is superb! The rooms are beautifully furnished, comfortable kingsized bed, and lovely bathroom. Each room has its own balcony. The breakfast each morning was delicious & well presented. Gina is a joy! Hospitable, kind, caring and super efficient!

Breakfast was fabulous; well-cooked, great selection, well-presented and served. Location; 500m walk from the beach! Perfect! Room; beautiful, private, lovely view, quiet, the daily service and fresh towels were wonderful. Gina, our hostess, was hands-on, always smiling, professional and obliging. The ladies helping her were equally delightful.

The Host is so lovely and friendly😊 everything was perfect and quiet and I got a room upgrade which was decorated so beautifully. Unfortunately I couldn't stay for breakfast but I'm sure it would've been delicious. I slept so nice and woke up refreshed that bed was so comfortable, the shower was relaxing and worked properly. The pool was blue to. The property is decorated nice and it's clean, safe and welcoming. I only stayed one night but I'd definitely come back again to The Villa for a longer stay the location is perfect.😃👍🏽 Thank you so much!

We had such a wonderful experience during our stay. The staff were incredibly warm and always willing to assist with anything we needed. They went the extra mile by preparing our room for a special surprise I had arranged with an external company, which meant a lot to us. The surroundings were beautiful, and peaceful — exactly what we were looking for. The property felt very clean and safe at all times. My daughter especially loved the pool, which was a highlight for her. Breakfast was absolutely superb, with great quality and variety. What truly stood out was their thoughtfulness on our departure — we had to check out very early on Sunday, and the staff kindly packed breakfast for us to enjoy at the airport while waiting for our flight. That level of care is rare and something we haven’t experienced at other villas. Overall, it was an exceptional stay, and we would definitely return.

The only minor issue we experienced was with the bathroom window handles, which couldn’t close properly at night. However, it wasn’t a major concern and didn’t take away from our overall experience.
