We had a wonderful stay at Mokum Suites. The location is absolutely excellent- very central and perfect for exploring Amsterdam on foot, while still feeling peaceful and atmospheric. Our room was beautiful and spacious, with high ceilings and large windows overlooking the canal, which really made the stay feel special. The bathroom was also fantastic- spacious, comfortable and very well designed. There is no air conditioning, which is worth knowing if you are visiting during warm weather, but there is a fan in the room and it worked well for us. The hosts were very kind, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend Mokum Suites for a short stay in Amsterdam.

Zauberhafte Vermieter, die sich kümmern. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und mit einer genialen Dusche ausgestattet. Kostenlose Getränke und eine großzügige Küche zur Nutzung stehen bereit. Kaum öffnete man die Haustür, war man mitten im Trubel - herrlich.

Hinweis: Die Lage war so zentral, daß das Nachtleben sozusagen vor der Tür stattfindet. Wer es nachts also ruhig braucht, für den ist diese Lage eventuell nicht perfekt.

Amazingly beautiful and LARGE Amsterdam flat with an incredible canal location, centrally located, close to metro and tram stops. Gorgeous room, light filled and the swing chair was a nice touch - loved sitting there watching canal life. The welcome drinks and coffee machine were appreciated, and excellent communication with the friendly owners and easy access and check in (however note there is no staff physically present). As noted by many, the stairs to the top floor are very steep and narrow but we liked this to experience staying in a historic Dutch accommodation. But a 28kg suitcase was a decent struggle. Having stayed at 4 other locations in Amsterdam, this is by far an absolute gem, staying in what I think is the BEST location hands down on the stunning Herengracht mile. Thank you for opening up this unique accommodation for us tourists to come visit.

It did not affect us but I will mention that this is an HISTORIC building. The owners have done a wonderful job with renovations, BUT you will hear movement of people above and below you - not loud, but you may hear footsteps and doors closing. We had the top (moon/second floor) suite which I recommend over the first floor who would have heard us coming and going each time we passed their door despite how quiet we were (not all guests may be so . Also being a wonderful location across the road from Rembrandtplein with its coffee shops, restaurants, and clubs, it is lively at night, though we didnt have a problem sleeping - but it also means its a very safe location returning late at night. Also the curtains are not very thick, and with 5am sunrises, it gets bright very early.

A fantastic place to stay - far exceeded our expectations. Our room was large, bed huge (also had a sofa bed), bathroom big, two sinks, shower and bath. Location was perfect, quiet and overlooking the canal. There is a kitchen on the ground floor, perfect for preparing snacks etc, a real bonus to have. Beware that (of course) being a period property the stairs to the rooms are very steep but for us that wasn’t a problem. We will without a doubt be returning!

Loved it all - only thing I can think of is that a small A/C unit would have been good as the room was very warm but our stay coincided with one of the hottest weeks so far. A fan was provided and we were fine.

The location is amazing, and the property itself is spotless. Another faultless stay! 10/10

Die Lage war absolut perfekt! Und das Zimmer hat uns sehr gut gefallen :) Es war gemütlich eingerichtet und wir persönlich haben fantastisch in dem Bett geschlafen!! Wir kommen immer wieder gerne in diese Unterkunft :)

Wir fanden es nicht so schön, dass die Mülleimer nicht geleert worden sind und der Müll von den vorherigen Gästen noch vorhanden war.

Konumu çok iyiydi ve çok temizdi. Yatak büyük ve rahattı. Ücretsiz havalimanı transferi de vardı ve taksi 3 saat geç gittiğimiz halde yine de bizi alıp otelimize getirdi.

Odada bir mini buzdolabı olmasını beklerdim. Mutfak 2 kat aşağıda ve merdivenler çok dik.

The location was phenomenal! A stay at MOKUM Suites puts you on a corner with a canal on both sides. Our room was very spacious and super clean. You can access just about everything you want to see in a short walk. Lots of restaurants, bakeries, and cafes nearby. The owners met us when we arrived and were super nice. They even had numerous drinks in the fridge awaiting our arrival as well as plenty of coffee and tea. Very nice and safe neighborhood.

A comfortable spacious suite with a lovely canal view and access to a well stocked kitchen area. Great location for all of Amsterdam’s attractions and safe to walk everywhere. Very welcoming hosts. I’d definitely book to stay here again.

Angenehme, gemütliche Unterkunft in guter Lage mit ausreichend Platz und grossem Bad. Besonders positiv war der freundliche Kontakt mit dem Vermieter – ich würde sie sofort wieder mieten.

Die steile Treppe zum Zimmer im 2. Stock ist für ältere Reisende eher schwierig zu bewältigen (ich war mit den Kindern dort, also kein Problem für uns), zudem fehlten Angaben zum Verhalten im Brandfall. Insgesamt aber alles im grünen Bereich und nicht negativ zu werten.

Great location in Amsterdam - the area was excellent, and the view from the window overlooking the river was a big highlight. The apartment is spacious, with two bedrooms and enough room for a comfortable stay for 3 person

However, one of the showers did not heat the water properly.

Inside the suite was very pretty and the view outside of the canals was great. The location was perfect.

We really appreciated the thoughtful details in the suite, especially the large art book featuring paintings from the Rijksmuseum, which gave the place a unique and charming touch.

The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no elevator, but that is quite understandable for an older building like this and felt normal to us. Since we stayed on the first floor, it was not really an issue for us.

Konumu ve manzarası çok güzeldi. Camdan kanalın etrafındaki hareketli hayatı izlemek çok keyifliydi. Geniş tavanlı odasında 8 yaşında bir çocukla rahatlıkla sığabildiğimiz büyük bir yatağı vardı. Giriş kattaki mutfak bölümü de kullanışlı ve güzeldi.

Sehr schöne Suite, herrliche Aussicht auf die Gracht. Wir haben Amsterdam zu Fuß erlebt, und Dank der zentralen Lage kann man Mittags bequem ein Powernapping einlegen.

Für uns hätte die Matratze etwas fester sein können.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations – spacious rooms occupying the entire floor, featuring a large bathtub, two sinks, a sofa, a desk, a wardrobe, as well as a coffee machine and water in the room. The building has true Amsterdam charm – steep, narrow stairs, which we expected and actually found even more interesting. The hosts were caring and communicative, and thoughtfully provided drinks for our arrival. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for self-catering. The large wooden table made us feel at home while having breakfast or dinner. Special compliments for the location – situated at the intersection of the canals, offering a view of multiple bridges, and on the other side, the vibrant nightlife is just steps away. We stayed very comfortably – it’s a pity our stay was too short.

The mattresses were too soft for our preference. It would be helpful to provide more detailed instructions on the use of kitchen appliances, e.g. the extractor hood, as well as information about taking out the rubbish.

There was no breakfast served, but a kitchen where you could prepare your own. The location was superb-you could walk from there to the Nine Streets and to amazing cafes and restaurants. The communication, decor, cleanliness and view were superb.

As we now have hip problems we found the steep staircase too challenging with our luggage. Would ask to stay on a lower floor next time.

100% recommend to stay here. Really nice large room, huge bathroom and clean. The bed is SO COMFORTABLE! The location is amazing too! They are so welcoming and there’s even beers / drinks in the fridge for when you arrive. I never leave reviews but had to for this one!

An ideal location close to tram, cafes, and supermarket. Great staff who responded quickly to any requests. Having the kitchen facility was a bonus, and the drinks in the fridge a great addition.

If any, bed a little soft for our liking, and the addition of a toaster in the kitchen. Stairs a little challenging although it is Amsterdam, and is to be expected.

Mokum Suites is a wonderful location to many restaurants, shopping and museums.

We liked everything but there are some steep stairwells if that could be a problem for you.

Good location and responsive hosts, with room for a few improvements. We enjoyed the semi-quiet location, and the hosts were very responsive to messages.

With a few small upgrades, the stay could be excellent. The first thing that really needs updating is the listing photos on Booking.com — they no longer reflect the current state of the apartment and should be replaced with more recent ones. There’s no place to hang a bath towels or other items in the bathroom — only a face-towel hook. The shower has no curb, cabin, or curtain, so water spreads across the floor and the toilet area gets wet; without slippers, this can be quite inconvenient. Cleanliness was close to average: the floors were clean, but the bedspread and sofa had noticeable hair, similar to pet hair. In addition, one of the windows could not be opened at all, and if you plan to sleep in a dark room, it helps to clip the curtains together with a hairpin to block out light. Providing higher-quality toilet paper and more than one roll would also make guests’ stay more comfortable. Overall, this place has good potential — it just needs a few practical fixes and small updates to reach its best version.

Really amazingly located, central but quaint and quiet, great view on the canal. It felt like being home, with access to the kitchen and good commodities. Nice communication, helpful hosts, we really enjoyed our stay and I totally recommend this accommodation.

The mattress wasn’t very comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at Mokum Suites. Location can't be beat and the comfort of the room is great. Would certainly recommend for a couple that wants to enjoy the Amsterdam area.

The stairs are no joke. If you have challenges with stairs this isn't the place for you.

I think the room size and the location is fantastic. It was really asking distance to anywhere you want to go. the room is spacious, you can even hangout in the room all day and night. I would definitely come back here again.

The only feedback I have is to add daily housekeeping option to guest who wouldnt mind to pay for it . Also for guest who has alot of luggage, going up the stairs can be tricky. But this all is nothing compared to the whole experience

- Carpet badly coming away on upper flight of stairs. Was fixed by the time we left. - poor communication, couldn’t message the hosts, the email reply did not work. I was given phone numbers but nothing was serious enough to phone the hosts about. - didn’t meet host or any staff persons, that was disappointing - one plug for two bathroom sinks leaving gaping drain hole that contact lens or jewelry could fall through - no reading lamps by bed - map in info booklet was not good

Great central location to walk to most of amsterdam but also tram not far away. Large room and bathroom. Big windows with lovely view of canal. Shared kitchen nice and fridge drinks a great bonus.

Локация: Апартаменты находятся в невероятно классном и живописном районе .Буквально за углом — множество кафе.При этом здесь царит удивительно спокойная и аутентичная атмосфера.Все главные достопримечательности, такие как Музейная площадь и площадь Дам, легко accessible пешком или на велосипеде. Апартаменты: Очень чистые, уютные и продуманные. Но главное — это виды! Мы сидели у окна и наслаждались видом на канал с проплывающими лодками — это настоящая голландская классика и невероятно романтично. Отдельно хочется выделить ванную комнату — она просто огромная и современная, с отличным душем. Хозяева: Отдельная благодарность гостеприимным хозяевам! дали карту и ценные рекомендации. Приятным сюрпризом стали комплименты в виде напитков и кофе — такая мелочь создает невероятно тёплую атмосферу. Рекомендация: Обязательно воспользуйтесь экскурсией на лодке, которую организует хозяйка! Это частная поездка по каналам, которая позволит увидеть Амстердам с его самого красивого ракурса — с воды. Узнали массу интересных историй и увидели потаённые уголки, мимо которых просто проходишь пешком. Лучшие фотографии и воспоминания именно оттуда. Однозначно рекомендую эти апартаменты всем, кто хочет почувствовать себя не туристом, а гостем этого удивительного города. Мы мечтаем вернуться сюда снова

Great location in the old part and a walk to all the attractions. Large spacious room with a lovely view of the canal. Having tea and coffee making facilities was good too.

The room could have been cleaner and towels and bed linen were old (but clean!). It would have been nice to have windows that open as it was very hot when we stayed and the room was quite stuffy.

The room is in an ideal location allowing us to see many sites within walking distance.Also had a wonderful private canal tour on our arrival. Way better than the boats crowded with 40 or more. Coffee maker in the room and extra supplies in kitchen.

There was no breakfast offered but there are many cafes nearby. The old building does need some attention. We could never open the windows. The window shade on one tall window is stuck in the open position. These things should be easily fixed allowing guests to fully enjoy this wonderful location.
