Great views, spacious and comfortable. We were able to relax on the sofa for reading and chatting. Love the windows looking out over the canals and taking in views on all sides. Super convenient to everything we wanted to see. A very good welcome.

It’s a busy city and the action never stops so there was some noise. Steep stairs that were challenging but doable. Harder with big luggage.

Great welcome by the staff. The apartment takes the whole top floor with view over the flower market on Singel canal and the bedroom at the back. Very central location. We appreciated having a washing machine. Note: very steep traditional steps: not suitable for people with mobility issues and for heavy luggage (unless you got good muscles). We'd stay there again.

The property did not address our security concerns and we had to make sure to lock away our valuables all the times. Other guests walked into the apartment (fortunately we were there) because the lock security code was the same as the other flat. Someone came to address the issue straightaway but left the same code in place. When asked, the owner focused on the honesty of their team, ignoring that they can't guarantee the honesty of other guests.

Sofa bed was broken. The end of the bed kept collapsing, which was loud and quite startling, not ideal to have to fix it multiple times in the night. Toilet didn’t flush properly. Very steep and narrow staircase to the top floor.

Loved the location, in the centre of everything. Very helpful host. Lovely apartment, couldn't fault it.

Only one draw back was the stairs, lots of them, but got used to them!

The location is amazing right in the centre of everything. The hosts were brilliant met us and took our luggage. The apartment was very clean and tidy and had everything you need .

The stairs are very steep but we all managed fine .

The location was AMAZING! There’s a tram station steps away. The view from the main room is fantastic and a nice place to enough breakfast. The place is very cozy and clean! I would definitely stay here again.

The stairs were quite steep, which was clearly mentioned during booking, and we personally didn’t have any issues. However, it’s worth noting that it might be difficult for someone with limited mobility to access the apartment.

What a privilege to stay in this iconic canal house, right in the flower market! This location cannot be beat. My family and I loved our stay. The host was incredible, even helped us carry our suitcases up to the flat. We were given a great description of how to get to points of interest from where we were staying as well as tips on the best restaurants to try nearby. It was very easy to arrive by transit from the airport. I would highly recommend staying here if you have the chance!

This is a historic canal house with very steep stairs, no lift, and the unit is on the 4th floor. I would caution against staying here if you have any mobility issues, or are concerned about young children on stairs.

Great location to explore from! Easy to get to via tram from Centraal train station. Apartment is lovely and modern within an historic building so has lots of character. Hosts were lovely and responsive and very accommodating to change check-in time when our train was significantly delayed.

Perfect location for getting to main sights and museums with plenty of grocery and restaurant options near. We loved the authentic and cozy space and felt at home right away. Some of our favorite nights were spent cooking and playing games in the apartment due to its fantastic views of the canals. We really loved it here!

Part of the authentic experience is navigating the steep stairs up, but it was no issue for us and our kids. Just something to be aware of.

The apartment was perfect for us - the location is central to everything you want to visit and so easy to get to on public transport. Having your own historic warehouse penthouse in the middle of the action is just brilliant. And despite being close to busy streets, it is really peaceful - the bedroom is at the rear of the property and extremely peaceful - we slept like babies every night on the very soft, comfortable bed (which is actually two singles which can be together or apart). The bathroom is very modern with a rain shower, and felt like a hotel bathroom. The living area was very comfortable with a basic kitchenette area (no oven) and a comfy sofa and tv with Netflix etc. Overall we loved it and highly recommend.

We loved everything, though as others have said, you should be prepared for the very steep staircase, which is traditional in these historic townhouse properties, but we enjoyed the challenge! Also be aware there are legal limitations on the cooking facilities that rental flats can have - so no oven or formal hob top. This is all normal for these properties in Amsterdam, and did not affect us at all.

L'alloggio è molto caratteristico, una vera casa del centro di Amsterdam messa a nuovo. Bella vista sui canali, camera e soggiorno spaziosi e tutto tenuto benissimo. Posizione incredibile, pieno centro a pochi minuti dalle attrazioni fondamentali del centro città ma ben collegata anche per piazza dei musei e qualsiasi altro posto. Gabriel ci ha accolto personalmente, ci ha dato consigli e si è messo a disposizione sin da subito. La nostra permanenza è stata super.

Non è una cosa negativa assolutamente, anzi molto molto caratteristica e molto bella. Tuttavia, è bene essere preparati alle scale molto strette e ripide!

The stairs are extremely steep and dangerous for anyone over sixty. On booking.com it described a breakfast and airport shuttle service. Neither were available. The stairs were not described on booking.com posting. There was no working smoke detector. WiFi was not adequate when working from home.

Great location (within walking distance of all the local sights/near public transport if unable to walk), very friendly and helpful hosts, comfortable accommodation and facilities.

Stairs are very steep and may be tricky for someone with mobility problems. Tricky to negotiate the stairs with suitcases, but the hosts were very helpful and carried our suitcases up for us

A Perfect Start to Our European Adventure! This place was absolutely fantastic—charming, spacious, and in an unbeatable location. Tucked right next to the flower market and overlooking the canals, it was close to everything we wanted to see in Amsterdam, yet still peaceful and quiet at night. There was plenty of room for the three of us, and the kitchen was impressively well-stocked. We loved being able to walk everywhere from the apartment—the location couldn’t have been more convenient. The hosts were incredible—friendly, helpful, and very responsive. One thing to note: the stairs leading up to the apartment are steep and narrow, but that’s part of its charm. Also, since it’s located in the flower market, cars can’t pull up directly in front, but it’s just a quick 20-step walk from where transportation drops you off. Super easy. And the bonus? You’re right above a pancake restaurant! This was our first stop on a multi-country trip, and it truly set the bar high. We only wish we had stayed longer. Would absolutely stay here again!

Awesome hostess. The location was amazing my Amsterdam's Flower Market. The room was fantastic with awesome cross breezes. Loved that we had two separate rooms for the four of us.

The only downside was the 5 floor steep walk. It was fine for my family because we are a little younger, but for people with bad knees or not in shape, it may be difficult.

The host met us at the property, showed us around and gave us the key. She was very helpful with answering questions about the local area. The property, at the top of the building, had amazing views. The bedroom, which was used by my daughters was a good size and comfortable. There was storage for all of our clothes in there. The main room was compact but felt spacious with plenty of natural lights from the 3 windows. The sofa bed was already made up for me before arrival. There was a table and chairs and a well equipped kitchen. The host was very helpful with storing our luggage after we checked out. The property was extremely clean and well organised.

We stayed for two nights to experience Amsterdam and go see the tulips. The apartment is on the fifth floor of a well located building. The stairs are incredibly steep. There is no warning about this at the time of booking. It says suitable for all ages but definitely not suitable for children or anyone with mobility issues.

Lovely apartment at the top of a listed canal house in a great location. Loved watching the bustling streets from the window. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep.

The location was very nice. Gabriel was very gracious in helping us by carrying all of our luggage up the five flights of stairs to our apartment. It was similar to a climb to the top in a lighthouse with the spiral staircase. In addition Gabriel provided us with a lot of useful information as to how to get to the museums and other sites. Perhaps what we will remember with the fondess memories is how he helped us to get all of our luggage down the stairs to his car when we were leaving and drove us right to our airline at Schipol Airport. This was so greatly appreciated and we won't forget his kindness! A wonderful stay in the center of Amsterdam!

The location was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and all the amenities that we needed were there.

Great location! Walkable to all major attractions. Enough space for 4 people in apartment. Amenities like coffee, water bottles, blow dryer… Beds were comfortable. Great communication from Chiara.

It was hot in Amsterdam and couldn’t leave the windows open in the evening due to noise on the street. There was only 1 air conditioner that didn’t keep entire apartment cool. Not a huge issue, but A table fan would have been helpful as we needed to use both the bedroom and sofa bed.

Rather than staying in a traditional hotel as I had for years that were really just a place to sleep and usually not a place that created any memories, I wanted the experience of staying in an authentic vintage residence. It was great! Although it had some beautiful modern comforts, it had an old world feel. I showed up after a long delayed overseas flight with too much luggage. The owners daughter was so very kind to take all my luggage up the flights of stairs. It was a bit of a shock to me to walk 5 flights of narrow stairs in a vintage Amsterdam home. I figured if many Dutch people of all ages do this every day & look in great shape, I felt determined to do this myself. I also had 2 Dutch friends stop by for a visit and the made the stair climb effortless. By the end of my visit, I had more stamina to walk & explore this beautiful country. On cool summer days, I loved that I could open the windows. On 1 warm night, I made use of the ac unit. It was also nice to walk outside to see many flower shops opening up for the day.. So pleasing to see the array of colors. I happen to use the app Citymapper from this great hotel location for planning walks, train, metro when exploring around.

I didn't get to thank the owners personally on my departure day. I also wish I had stayed a few more days.
