Fantastic property- very elegant, refurbished to a very high standard.

We loved the feel, atmosphere and privacy of the Demeure St Louis. The owners were lovely people who were happy to help when needed. It’s in a great position to explore both sides of Carcassone. The swimming pool is a treat particularly after a day on your feet.

Ottima struttura, pulita, silenziosa e a pochi passi dal centro storico. Stanza grande e con vista sulla città medievale.

Ein historisches Herrenhaus, mit wundervollen stilechten Möbeln. Überall im und um das Haus gibt es Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Ein tolles Swimmingpool in einen grossen Garten. Marianne U Stephane sind äußerst charmant. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, mit Ei, Wurst u Käse. Absolute Empfehlung

The guest house was unique with lots of charm and history, it was spacious with communal lounge and kitchen areas if needed. Marianne was very welcoming and served a very nice breakfast in a traditional dining room setting. Despite being on a main road the hotel was a short walk to the old town and ramparts, also close by was a vibrant street with lots of restaurant offerings. I would recommend this hotel especially for families.

Frontage on a main road however there is private parking and it’s not too noisy.

Wunderschönes altes Anwesen, original und perfekt ausgestattet, sehr sauber, top Lage, um die Festung zu besuchen und sehr nette Leute, die die Unterkunft betreiben. Auto stand auch total sicher . Besser geht es nicht!!! Und ohne andere Unterkünfte in Carcassonne zu kennen: man MUSS HIER übernachten!

fantastico in questo hotel. La posizione è eccezionale, vicinissimo alle mura storiche, ma il vero valore aggiunto è stata l'accoglienza: la signora Marianne ci ha ricevuto e ospitato con un calore immenso, facendoci sentire subito a casa.La struttura ha un fascino unico. L'arredamento è d'epoca, con uno stile classico e retrò che definirei semplicemente strepitoso e pieno di carattere. Le camere sono bellissime, curate e incredibilmente silenziose, perfette per riposare in totale tranquillità.La nota di merito finale va alla colazione, davvero fantastica: pane fresco, brioche e ottime marmellate, il tutto accompagnato da una vera spremuta d'arancia preparata al momento e con il cuore dalla signora Marianne. Tutto assolutamente fantastico. Consigliatissimo!

Très belle demeure au pied de la cité médiévale. Chambre très spacieuse et bien équipée. L'accueil est très chaleureux et de très bons conseils pour les visites et restaurants.

Comfort da hotel, stanza molto pulita, bagno con vasca molto apprezzato per i bambini. Piscina meravigliosa in un giardino delizioso e molto curato. Bella atmosfera. Colazione ottima e abbondante. Ci tornerei!

An absolutely wonderful stay! What we appreciated most were the many personal touches that make this place so special. As a family-run property, we always felt genuinely welcome, whether for a quick chat along the way or when it came to accommodating our specific wishes, which they handled with flexibility and real attentiveness. A true highlight was the breakfast basket we got to enjoy right in our apartment, with a view of the Cité, such a beautiful, thoughtful touch that gave the whole stay a lovely, personal feel. All the local tips and recommendations they gave us were spot-on and genuinely helpful too. Location, comfort, and hospitality, everything about this place is just right. Somewhere we’d love to return to.

Es war perfekt! Unsere Wohnung war sehr geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Lage, der Garten, das Frühstück und vor allem die Gastgeber sind wunderbar! Gerne wieder.

La amabilidad de la familia, la comodidad del parking y la ubicación, la piscina, el desayuno.

Todo, una casa del inicio del siglo XX completamente actualizada, a nosotros nos dieron el primer piso completo que son 3 habitaciones con un gran salón y una cocina enorme para nosotros solos. Todo con aire acondicionado. El desayuno muy bueno y la zona del jardín y la piscina parace que estás en el bosque !

The location of Marianne’s family-run manor was great. Well-appointed and very clean rooms with washer/dryer, A/C, dishwasher, nespresso, stove and microwave, beautiful bathrooms - both bath and pool towels were supplied. Marianne spent time with us orienting us to the location with a map so we could find our way to the Cite. This was so important! Free secure garden parking. We never moved our cars once we arrived. Two minute walk to great bistrots, cafes and restaurants and an outdoor market and a lovely bridge over the Aude. Marianne helped us make dinner reservations close to the house and in the Cité and to figure out how to make reservations for a show (Medieval Knights on Horseback and Falcons Show!) She and her family are lovely and patient and attentive. Great distance from La Cité. Lovely outdoor pool where we rested between touring and dinner. This is rare to find. Easy access to suprisingly delicious fresh baguettes, cold cuts, cheeses, drinks and snacks just across the street at a simple local shop. Perfect for a poolside picnic for 7! Many thanks to Marianne, Stephane and family!

This was not a problem for us, but just be aware that there are stairs and no elevators (in the event that your you have any physical limitations). We knew this in advance and we embraced the extra exercise. We simplified what we brought up to our rooms vs left in our secure car. Simple is always better!

Ett mycket speciellt och vackert inrett gammalt hus där varje detalj är genomtänkt. Den sköna och lugna trädgården med poolen var rofylld med skugga och sol. Frukosten var fantastisk och serverades av värdinnan och hennes söta lilla medhjälpare.

A fabulous place and owners looked after us really well. Superb breakfast and a lot of it. An easy walk into the citadel and it was OK to leave our car for the morning after checking out.

An excellent French Chateau/B&B, beautifully furnished/decorated and superbly run by the lovely Marianne. This place is a gem. Our room and bathroom were spacious , had A/C and was beautifully decorated in traditional French style. The breakfast room and breakfast were also superb. A 300m walk to a street of restaurants and 700m to the gates of the Carcassonne walled city. The garden and pool were lovely and there is free secure parking.

It is across the road from the local prison but you wouldn't notice.

Please if you happen to be in the area, go for it. It was one of my best stays ever. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and also so kind and available to accommodate any need and I have never felt so welcome The position is perfection, right in the middle of the new and old town. They made our stay unfirgettable on top of the incredible venue and the amazing corner of the world it is at. Delighted, absolutely delighted

I can't rave enough about this manor. Lovingly restored by a beautiful family, it is everything you imagine a French historic bnb to be. The breakfast, hand prepared by the owners, is beautiful and delicious. The rooms are impeccable. There is nothing they missed here-every detail is perfect. The pool was so relaxing -a real oasis with waterfall, birds chirping and relaxing areas all around.

Fomos super bem recebidos pela proprietária, que da dicas de passeios, fez reserva em restaurante e tambem serve o cafe da manhã que é delicioso, caseiro, super local, sem frescura, A piscina e a vista são imperdíveis. França de verdade.

Não é uma crítica, mas uma constatação: não me atentei que o predio não tem elevador, então tem que levar as malas na mão até segundo andar, o que não é um problema e também não há serviço de quarto, o que tampouco incomoda ou diminui o valor da estadia.

Beautiful mansion run by a family with unique decoration and style. The location is perfect Close to the medieval Cite but also near to the town and plenty of great bistros nearby. Marianne was very welcoming and made the stay very comfortable for us.

Großes geräumiges Zimmer mit Klimaanlage, top ausgestattete Minibar, Blick zur Festung aus dem Bad. Schöner Garten mit Pool und Whirlpool und vielen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Sicheres Parken auf dem Grundstück. Leckeres Frühstück je nach Wunsch deftig, süß oder Beides. Perfekt organisierte Gastgeber mit Tipps für die Gegend, Restaurant und vieles mehr.

Da fällt mir absolut nichts ein.

Het ontvangst was uiterst vriendelijk en de locatie heel erg mooi. De kamers zijn groot schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Als ik weer in de buurt zou zijn boek ik direct.

Het enige wat tegenviel is het moeten douchen in een vrijstaand bad en zelf de douche vast moeten houden. Behalve dat alles in badkamer nat wordt is het niet comfortabel om zelf de douchekop vast te houden. Maar voor 1 overnachting is dit echt een klein verbeterpunt.

Great location - 15 mins walk to old cité and 10 mins to the newer part ! Great communication before we arrived - very friendly owners who picked us up at station and dropped us off at our boat in Trebes. Great restaurant recommendations in street just behind the hotel. Great breakfast of fruit, juice, croissants, bread, cheese, ham and boiled eggs -just right !!!

No lift - wee bit of a challenge with big suitcases.

Eigentlich nichts

Dunkle Atmosphäre, Familie wohnt selbst dort, Familie benutzt auch während die Gäste dort sind den Pool, Garten und Liegen könnten dringend eine Reinigung vertragen. Gastgeberin aus unserer Sicht sehr dominant und bestimmend, trägt nicht zu angenehmen Atmosphäre bei. Zimmer waren sauber und ordentlich. Rest des Hauses wirkt vertaubt und alt und abgenutzt, das Haus hat seine besten Jahre schon sehr lange hinter sich. Wir haben uns nicht wohlgefühlt. Aus unserer Sicht ist es keine Pension sondern ein airbnb mit maximalem Familienanschluss, was aus der Buchung nicht eindeutig hervorgeht.

Hier hat wirklich alles gepasst ! Wir wurden schon vor der Anreise von den lieben Besitzern mit Informationen versorgt, so dass Anreisen und Einchecken ohne Probleme funktionierte. Das Haus und der Garten sind fantastisch und Marianne bereitete morgens immer sehr liebevoll das leckere Frühstück zu. Wir verlebten eine wundervolle Zeit und bedanken uns bei Marianne und Stéphane.

Wij hadden jammer genoeg de kamer aan de kant van een drukke straat … het geluid redelijk werd wel goed gedempt door de dubbele beglazing, en airco zorgde voor de verkoeling

De centrale ligging tussen oude en nieuwe stad, het zwembad en de tuin waar je echt kekker kan rondhangen. Fijne lounge, en prima ontbijt. Super vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Toen mijn fiets gestolen werd reeds de eigenaar ons naar politie en fietsverhuur, waar hij ons hielp met vertalen etc. Daardoor hadden we binnen twee uur alles geregeld en opnieuw gekocht, waardoor we onze reis konden voortzetten.

The six year old grand-daughter helped to serve the breakfast! The location was excellent but difficult to find as it is down a 'no entry' road. Carcassonne is a lovely town and well-worth a visit.

Reaching the old town was difficult for anyone with mobility issues or difficult walking.

Large spacious well furnished rooms, gorgeous bath and bed, elegant decor. Many areas around and in the property to relax in and unwind after a days sightseeing or just spend the day reading, or swimming. Located close to restaurants and cafes and easy walking distance to the Chateau Comtal. Generous and kind hosts.

Charming characterful hotel in great central location. Good communication with hosts who are very welcoming. We only stayed one night so didn’t get to use the garden and pool, but can imagine it being a bit of an oasis in the summer heat. Would warmly recommend to stay at this hotel if you visit Carcassonne.
