Great location and good communication with host

Dated. Heating wasn’t working throughout the property. No oven or hob in the kitchen, just a microwave.

Great location and unique experience to sleep in a houseboat on the canal. Plenty of space with all conveniences included. Easy access to city centre with museums and Vondelpark nearby. Would highly recommend!

Wir waren als Familie (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) einige Nächte im Amsterdam HouseBoat und hatten eine tolle Zeit! Alles war wie beschrieben, sehr ruhig und die Betten waren perfekt – wir haben wunderbar geschlafen. Waschmaschine und Trockner sind vorhanden, allerdings wussten wir nicht, ob wir diese benutzen durften. Schade, dass es keine Terrasse oder Sitzmöglichkeiten vor dem HouseBoat gibt. Bei mehreren Nächten wären zwischendurch frische Handtücher und eine Müllentsorgung schön gewesen. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden jederzeit wiederkommen! 😊🚤

So fun to experience living on a houseboat and lovely museum district with nice restaurants nearby. The trams were easy to get anywhere.

La struttura a prima vista è di impatto. Ben arredata e ben fornita. Però poi ti accorgi che ci sono alcuni dettagli da sistemare per es asse di legno a terra fronte camera da letto che non è ben fissata a terra. Al prezzo di un 5 stelle si pretende la cura quasi maniacale della struttura. Pur essendo presente un cucinotto mancano i fuochi o piastra ad induzione per cucinare. Ce solo forno a microonde . Per i miei gusti letto troppo morbido

I loved the location, and the experience of staying on the canal. The houseboat was very clean and relaxing.

I did not like the fact that we had to wait almost 30min to get into the space. I was told to send a message via WhatsApp at 14:30 to gain access. I sent a message 14:40, and received no response. I called and left a message, then another WhatsApp message at 15:04, and finally received a response at 15:21. I’m a very punctual person and would have appreciated if the individual would have just sent me an access message at 14:30 instead of me having to message him, as I was tired and had plans. Other than that, all was very nice. My suggestion in the future would be for the staff to send the access information at check in time instead of having to request it. The money had already been paid, so there should not have been an issue.

Checkin was delayed and staff was a bit rude and unclear about it. Wasnt clear until 230pm when i can come and check in. Created a bit of last minute stress. Would be great to have an open terrace

die Küchenausstattung ist fürs Frühstücken völlig ausreichend. ansonsten eher minimalistisch : wir waren dennoch zufrieden, da man ja in der Regel essen gehen möchte

We stayed for three nights and had a very enjoyable experience. The location is excellent, with easy access to the city either on foot or via tram. Staying on a houseboat was a unique touch and really enhanced our Amsterdam experience. The accommodation was clean, well-equipped and comfortable throughout. The beds were particularly comfortable, which was appreciated after long days exploring the city. It was also pleasantly quiet in the evenings, allowing for a good night’s rest. Overall, a lovely stay and we would happily return.

There was nothing significant to note. As expected in Amsterdam, getting around may involve a fair amount of walking or use of public transport, but this is reflective of the city rather than the property itself.

Very nice and quiet location. A lot of options in terms of food choices nearby. Public transport is also easy to get to.

A bit more on the smaller side than what I initially expected, the lounge/dining area is very cramped. Bathroom also a good size but showing a lot of signs of usage, water stains and limestone.

Wonderful place, clean and comfortable with very good transport connections. The owner is extremely kind, understanding and helpful. I recommend!

Staying on the canal was a great. Enjoyed waving to all the canal cruise boats as they went past!! Fabulous location, 5 minute walk to trams and metro providing great links around Amsterdam. Vibrant food market over the bridge with diverse range of street food ideal for lunch. Had a little bit of difficulty getting heating going but once we mastered it was very cosy and warm. Jeff was very quick with advise regarding heating and also checked in with us first thing the next morning to see if all was okay!

Tout s’est bien passé. La localisation est bien et vivre sur un bateau le temps d’un week-end était très sympa. Le bateau est bien équipé. Les instructions pour le rejoindre claires.

Les matelas étaient biens mais les oreillers trop fermés.

Excellent location, easy to get to public transportation. Loved being able to enjoy a hot cup of coffee while watching the tours boats go by.

No explanation about how to use appliances such as clothes dryer. We had difficulty getting the dryer to stay on longer than 3 minutes. Had to constantly empty the dryer water reservoir; something we don’t have in the USA. Eventually had to have the host come and explain it but even then it didn’t work for longer than 3 minutes. Took over 24 hours to dry one small load of laundry.

Location was brilliant, 15min walk to Centre and very close to trams though we didn't use them. There are many lovely cafes just across the canal and a supermarket 5 mins walk away. The houseboat itself was great, much more space than expected and warm, comfy. Hairdryer, towels, tea/coffee all there. I would definitely stay again. Two separate bedrooms and a door on the bathroom (rare find in Amsterdam when we were looking at hotels). Video with a walkthrough of how to use the heating was much appreciated.

It was quiet, the beds comfortable and we had a good night sleep. It was also very convenient for a family to have two separate bedrooms. The apartment was clean and everything worked well. The location was a bit far from the historical center. It was the first time we stayed in a house boat and we expected that it would have been somewhat special. In the end, the experience was pretty much the same as in any air bnb. Only the price was a bit high.

It was very cold when we entered. The temperature was close to zero and the windows were open. It took some time to warm up the house.

Perfekter Platz, um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr ruhige Gegend. Bäckerei und Supermarkt in 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

We loved staying at the boathouse with two teens. Everything is in walking distance. The rooms were big enough for us. We loved seeing the boats go by.

We would have loved to use the terrace to sit and watch the boats, but the door is closed and not to be used by guests.

It was perfect after spending the day sightseeing to come back to a nice comfortable and quiet space. It's very relaxing and enjoyed it very much. We wish we planned an extra day just to hang out here. Next time we will remember that!

So außergewöhnlich zu wohnen war ein besonderes Erlebnis! Noch nie vorher in einem Haus auf dem Wasser geschlafen. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Fast besser geschlafen als Zuhause! Der Abschied fiel uns schwer.

Great location, comfy houseboat, and —most important in August— air conditioning. It was almost 30C while we were in Amsterdam, sleeping at night was much more comfortable thanks to the airco.

This was a great place to stay since have been to Amsterdam a few times. It was fun to watch the boats go by and have the space of an apartment instead of hotel.

Great location--easy to walk everywhere, especially the museums. So fun to watch all the action on the canal. Instructions to finding, entering and enjoying the houseboat were detailed and simple.

I was really happy with this houseboat. It was a really convenient location near a variety of restaurants and supermarkets. It was also very warm, despite outside being zero temperatures. No problem with there being no cooking facilities but the addition of a microwave would make such a difference!

No microwave. Radiators were tempermental but owner was very quick to respond. Shower waste needs unblocking as it floods the bathroom.

Living in a houseboat is a very unique experience! Also, this property is well-maintained and very warm.

Host was inflexible and not helpful regarding entry codes. On arrival at 3:00pm, cleaner was still there, drier was still running and towels left in there for the three days we stayed. One small wardrobe for two couples with one door locked for we presumed the owners belongings. Advertised with toaster, but not there, when highlighted to the host, his comment was get over it and buy fresh bread. He did deliver a toaster the second day however there was no need to be smart about it. Very cluttered.

We had always wanted to rent a boathouse and this one was perfecr. The location was awesome, so near to the main entertainment spots and so quiet at the same time.

The thought of staying in a houseboat in Amsterdam.

Inside temperature was too hot! No fans, even though description said fans. Property owner and/or manager was unhelpful and underprepared to accept guests on a warm summer day. My guess is he was out of town, and unavailable to assist. Lack of communication when trying to come to a resolution. Awful experience all around. Beware!

Quirky place to stay on the water. Quiet location but still walking distance to the main areas. Although the area the property is in is still packed with great bars and restaurants away from the main tourist traps

Unfortunately, the host didn’t disclose that the houseboat is a shared space, and as guests we didn’t get the whole houseboat. Additionally, if the hosts were to spend just a little more money and actually provide furniture in the shared space that works with glasses and plates, it could be a great space.
