Ubicación muy buena

Mucha humedad, lavabo compartido, camas incómodas.

La ubicación está muy bien . En el centro de la isla .

A ver , se trata de un alojamiento con lo mínimo ( de acorde con el precio ) pero aún así hay aspectos muy mejorables como los que pondré a continuación: 1 Las toallas las cambian cada 3 días ( ya con olor a humedad), hay dos tipos de toallas al parecer ser . Unas blancas que huelen bien (que a nosotros no nos las pusieron) y unas de colorines que esas son las que huelen mal y nos dan a los turistas de segunda (X 2 Tuvimos que comprar ambientadores ya que la habitación y sobre todo el baño un olor a humedad bastante fuerte. 3 En diez días NO nos pusieron papel higiénico , ni champú ni jabón de ningún tipo ( cosa que tuvimos que comprar también), bueno había uno que era 80% de agua y 20% de jabón. Volvería aquí ? Buscaría otra opción antes , Azores es caro generalmente.

El hostel estaba cerca de la playa, como a 20 minutos a pie. Es sencillo y confortable. La recepcionista es atenta, contesta rápido a las dudas y necesidades. Se aparca fácil por la zona, al menos en septiembre.

Lo malo es que el baño compartido está en la planta inferior y solo hay dos duchas. El balcón es súper pequeño.

Todo! A pesar de ser una casa de huéspedes y compartir espacios comunes ( por cierto, completamente equipados), había un ambiente muy familiar y todo se mantenía siempre limpio. La chica que mantenía la casa, siempre muy amable y ayudándote en todo lo necesario. Hemos estado como en casa, sin duda si volviéramos repetiríamos.

Chambre propre. Parking à proximité . Proximité du centre et de l Océan : accès à pied. Belle terrasse et partie commune bien aménagée. Hôte bienveillant et à l écoute .

V pokoji byla malinko cítit vlhkost, ale otevřeli jsme si okno i v noci a bylo vše v pohodě.

De relaxte sfeer en het terras. Doordat er een groot braakliggend terrein tegenover ligt met een hoop groen voelt het best ruim. Het is een rustige straat. Er waren iedere dag aardige schoonmakers en de keuken was goed voorzien van alle benodigde spullen. De locatie is heel fijn, vlak bij de zee en restaurants. En er is een grote supermarkt op 5 min loopafstand.

Dat er een schuifdeur was naar de badkamer met wc. Die houdt niet veel geluid tegen. En jammer dat er in de huiskamer weinig daglicht was, maar er is wel een leuk sfeertje gecreerd.

Skvělá lokalita. Parkování hned vedle ubytování a vždycky jsme našli místo. Vybavená kuchyň. Měli jsme pokoj s externí koupelnou, která byla jen pro nás, což bylo velké plus. Za nás naprostá spokojenost.

V době našeho pobytu se rozbila mikrovlnka, takže byla na několik dnů v opravě, ale to se může stát kdekoliv. :)

A mejorar el sistema de apertura del acceso, falla bastante y poner alguna cuerda para el tendido de la ropa

Nice, friendly , clean place to stay

Everything was excellent, very well maintained place. The cleaning ladies are so sweet, they come every day and make sure the place is clean and nothing is missing. You have everything you need in the kitchen including coffee as complimentary. The host responds very fast to inquiries. Thank you Costa Norte Guesthouse, we will definitely come back.

The staff is great. The first night was horrible with the worst mattresses and no sleep. They came and switched them to better ones. The room was big and comfy. Although the bathroom was not on same floor. This became annoying after a few days. Not having a bathroom on each floor is a problem. Otherwise the place is great. Good shared kitchen. Clean. Easy parking on street.

Really good communication from the guesthouse manager. There is no one on-site, so you have to come at a pre-arranged time to check in and collect the keys. We were a bit early but the cleaning lady was there and she contacted the manager and he came straight away. Very friendly and helpful, he gave a lot of recommendations for the island. The guesthouse is very spacious, there are 2 or 3 rooms upstairs, and 2 more downstairs, plus shared kitchen, lounge and bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped, easy to make meals. There are two rooms in the shared bathroom area, each room has one toilet and a shower. We stayed in the India room and it was quite spacious. The cleaning lady came every day to clean the whole place. It was always tidy and clean. There is street parking right outside and in the surrounding streets. Short walk to some cafes/little shops.

The bed was a little bit springy and uncomfortable. There was a bad septic smell coming from the shared bathrooms on our last day, which was a bit unpleasant when trying to cook in the kitchen next door. It was a little bit tricky going to the toilet in the middle of the night from an upstairs room - the bathroom is a bit far, it's dark and the stairs and hallway are creaky so it's hard not to make noise and not bump into things.

Good ratio for price&quality, location, terrace, and personnel

Really convenient location at the very heart of the town, with parking spots usually available in the surrounding streets. The room and the external bathroom had everything I needed for a short stay and were clean and well kept. For example, all the used towels were replaced daily. Very attentive personnel also, Ricardo gave me useful instructions and was very helpful.

A bit warm in the rooms

A very pleasant choice. The guesthouse is only 5 minutes from the main square (opposite the Igreja Matriz, parish church). In a car, with the one-way system, it is best to use the GPS. It has four or five rooms plus a large living/dining room and a separate kitchen. Plenty of room to prepare food and eat at ease. While we were there, there was a fair amount of relaxed conversation among the guests. Another very important point: an excellent price/quality relationship.

Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for cooking. It is possible to dry clothes here (on terrace). Good place for trips around island. Nice staff. It is really practice place :) They clean every day common area, which is good!

It's not that I didn't like it, just that they could improve the bathroom, they are a bit small.

Ricardo was a great host. The location and common areas were great. They were very resolutive with a couple of things we had to change. It was a nice place!

Beds were not very comfortable to be honest. That could be changed and it would improve the experience a lot.

Our host recommended a program for a whole week, including restaurants, hiking trails, thermal baths etc.

On one of the nights our room was flooded. it turned out that in the neighbouring bathroom a waterpipe was broken. By the time we could locate it, we had 2 cm deep water in our room and also on the corridor on the first floor of the building. I tried to contact the owner via phone, however as it was in the middle of the night he did not answer my call. nor my text messages. We managed to close the broken waterpipe and I started sweeping out the water out of the house. Somebody walking on the street also saw the water pouring out of the house. He said that he knew where the cleaning lady lived and promised to wake her up. In the meantime we were trying our best to decrease the damage caused by the water. After approximately an hour a cleaning lady turned up. Such a problem may happen at anytime, however I would have expected a “thank you” and also some sort of compensation as we were heavily disturbed and also for our help in tidying up the house.

Great place - my partner and I spent 4 nights at Costa Norte. You can easily drive anywhere from Ribeira Grande, parking across the street is free, you can get the best ice cream on the island in town (from a small shop on the square). Ricardo who checked us in was very friendly and knowledgable. The housekeepers are nice and everything is cleaned every morning. The owner came by once and was very kind as well. We ended up in the one room without neighbors / not next to a common room (after requesting a quiet room), and were very happy with that! It meant we did have to go downstairs to the shared bathroom, but that was totally okay. While we were there, only two other rooms were booked (one of which had its own bathroom), which meant it was calm and peaceful. We loved it that way! During summer, it's probably busy in the hotel and I think I would have preferred to book a room with my own bathroom then.

- One of the showers didn't have great water pressure. - The beds weren't super comfortable, but good enough for a couple of nights.

Small room with external bathroom, very clean, shared kitchen and fridge, nice terrase, very helpful Ricardo. We got all we need, feel there very good, very quite place, hot water 24h/day. I appriciate a tips for trips from Ricardo.

Very good location. From Ribeira Grande it is basically close to all the attractions on the island. The city itself is interesting and worth visiting. It is also a great place for fans of surfing. The nearby beach has excellent conditions .. Our room was very large and comfortable for 2 people. Everything clean Kitchen and bathroom shared with other residents but never a problem to use them. Cleaned daily. We had a large common dining room and terrace at our disposal. Unfortunately, the weather was not conducive to using the terrace because it was very windy especially in the evenings and still too cold in the morning. And most importantly, the hostel has great hosts who take care of all the details of your stay and try to help in every situation

- the shared living room where you can chill - the furnished kicthen with a big fridge and free coffess - the terasse where you can dry your clothes (very nice on this humid Island) - the host replies fast via messages - we received some nice tips on how to visit the Island - easy to park the car as it is not the busiest village, peacefull village :) - in les than 2 hours you can reach every place of the Island, very convenient We booked the double room with twin beds and private separate. The room was spacious and beds were confortable.

The toilet from our separatle private bathroom was not working well (issue when flushing, not very convenient to waste 15min before toilet flushes correctly).
