It’s so beautiful and close to everywhere

We love staying at Villa Fauna! It's very peaceful and relaxing and the staff are so friendly. It feels like a quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Rooms are well equipped and cleaned daily. This time we tried the breakfast - Sri Lankan and Western and all was delicious. We'll be back again for sure!

Villa Fauna was een heel schoon en comfortabel verblijf. Ook zijn de heren van de villa heel gastvrij en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was ook heerlijk! We raden deze heerlijke plek zeker aan.

Schön ruhig gelegen und nicht zu weit weg vom Ort. Super nettes Personal. Haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich sehr sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Alles entsprach den Bildern und wir hatten eine tollen Aufenthalt.

Die Lage war etwas abgelegen und daher sind wir Vorallem abends nicht mehr zu Fuß zur Unterkunft gelaufen.

Eine absolute Traumunterkunft, super zentral und dennoch ruhig. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Weltklasse Personal. Eine richtige Wohlfühloase.

Clean and comfortable room with a big bed. Pool was a plus. Generally quiet and relaxed accommodation, so if you need some peace and quiet I would recommend it

Exceptionally kind and welcoming staff, always helpful. Lovely, peaceful atmosphere with a great pool, sun loungers, and garden. Spacious, clean, and beautiful rooms with a nice view. Delicious local food available, freshly prepared by the staff.

If anything could be improved, it would maybe be the beds — not bad at all, just a bit too soft for me, which gave me slight back discomfort

Great place far away from the busy Ahangama streets. Right next to great family restaurant. My room was located on the ground floor right next to the pool so I was unable to open the curtains but it just made the room a bit cooler. Room has both AC and fan. Specious space with very comfy bed and a lot of storage space.

There was no toilet paper or body gel and shampoo, only small bar of soap. Come prepared!

We sliepen hier maar één nacht, maar wat een fijne plek!! Brandschone kamers, een heerlijk zwembad buiten én vriendelijk personeel! Ook hele fijne ervaring met de taxi service naar de airport.

The staff were incredibly helpful and always happy to answer our questions. They also kindly assisted us with booking surfing lessons and arranging a car, which made everything so easy. The property itself was beautiful, very clean, and surrounded by lush greenery, it felt like a little tropical oasis.

The only con was that the shower pressure was a bit low.

Der Pool war super. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Tolles Frühstück und sehr gepflegte Unterkunft.

På Villa Fauna er det godt tilrettelagt for både å jobbe(digitalt) med bra internett, og bare slappe av om det er behovet. Den store og ryddige hagen gir en egen ro og følelse av trygghet. Bassenget er alltid rent og innbydende, og er faktisk så stort at det går an å svømme/trene i det også. Det beste er likevel muligheten til å bestille både frokost og middag, nydelig tilberedt av de som jobber der. Å spise sammen med andre gjester rundt det lange bordet har fått meg til å føle meg som en del av en stor familie, selv om jeg liker å reise alene. Om man velger å ikke delta, så blir det også akseptert. Et sted man kan være som man er, uten fest og bråk.

Jeg har ingen negative kommentar å komme med, for dette stedet er bare helt nydelig.

Ich hatte eine tolle Zeit in der Villa Fauna. Die Zimmer sind genau wie die gesamte Unterkunft super schön und das Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Ich war jetzt schon zum 3x in der Villa Fauna zu Gast, da ich die Ausstattung der Villa samt Pool, die Lage im Grünen und doch nahe zum Strand und Ahangama Town sowie das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis schätze. Werde bestimmt wiederkommen :-)

Amabilidad, limpieza, reserva rápida.

Die Zimmer und die Außenanlagen sind super. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Haben nochmal um zwei Nächte verlängert und das war super unkompliziert

It‘s a beautiful location with a garden and a nice swimming pool. Also the beach and some nice places (e.g. Kaffi) are only a short walking distance away. And the staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again!

Leider ein wenig hellhörig, wir hatten das Zimmer am Pool, deswegen waren auch unsere Gardinen immer zu damit man nicht reinschauen konnte

Der Preis ist überteuert im vergleich zur Leistung und dass man kein Frühstück und Abendessen dabei hat, sondern dazu buchen muss

Wir haben vier Nächte in der Villa Fauna verbracht und uns dort rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gemütlich, und der Pool bot eine perfekte Möglichkeit, sich nach einem Tag in der Sonne zu entspannen. Besonders gut hat uns das durchdachte Konzept gefallen – das Eintragen von Frühstück und Abendessen an der Tafel funktioniert super unkompliziert, und das kostenlose, gefilterte Wasser ist ein toller Service. Auch das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und immer hilfsbereit. Insgesamt eine sehr angenehme Unterkunft, die wir gerne weiterempfehlen!

Super schöne Villa, gute Lage, nah am Strand und mit dem Tuktuk in 5min bei coolen Spots zum Essen. Die Mitarbeiter sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten Glück, das wir etwas außer der Saison da waren und die Villa fast für uns alleine hatten, wir werden die Zeit dort nie vergessen! Man kann auch Frühstück und Abendessen dort bestellen, die Mitarbeiter kümmern sich sehr wenn man was braucht, also auch wenn man mal einen entspannteren Tag einlegen will.

Lovely cozy place with a homy atmosphere. Very close to ahangama town. Breakfast was great and in really good portions. Koggala boat safari was great too. Pool was in good condition and clean rooms. Many thanks to the team for excellent service.

Everything!! Amazing staff, beautiful and clean property. Location is great to check out Secret Beach. Great restaurants and cafes nearby. It’s about a 15mins walk to the main street in Ahangama. Would highly recommend.

Difficulty locking rooms with the key when leaving for the day. Had to leave them unlocked, but it’s a safe property.

The staff, the place, the vibe. It was all amazing. I was there with three generations of my family and we loved it. So accommodating, clean and just lovely. We really appreciated the privacy we had as a family. So, thank you Villa Fauna. You're exceptional.

Quiet and a great atmosphere to relax, everything was clean and well maintained. Staff were very welcoming and available to help.

We loved the corner upstairs room looking out into the trees. Just a short walk through mostly shaded quiet back streets down to the main road and a beautiful little bay to swim in and some local food options. After a day out surfing and exploring it was a welcome return to the accommodation with a refreshing swim in the lovely pool in such a relaxing setting. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Lovely staff which is very friendly and helpfull. Couldn't wish any better. The place is clean and well maintained and fairly close to a lot of nice places to have diner. Wouldn't recommend laundry here, it's done by a different company and it's pretty expensive.

We loved our stay here. The staff were the highlight, they were so friendly and sorted out a bike for us and organised a tour to Udawalawe. The breakfast and dinner they cooked us was delicious. The property is in a beautiful quiet location. Our room was serviced everyday and the property was very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time at Villa Fauna. The villa was incredibly comfortable and beautiful, quiet and completely surrounded by greenery. The staff was super nice and took very good care of us. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast and could easily rent a scooter through them. Thanks for the great stay, we will definitely be back!

Perfectly located on the best side of Ahangama, 5-10 minute walk from beach and restaurants but tucked down quiet side street so you feel very secluded. Beautiful garden and pool with lots of wildlife (monkeys, lizards, bats, even saw a snake). Lovely friendly and helpful staff. We didn't eat there because there is just so much to choose from in Ahangama but food sounded good. There's a fridge of beers and soft drinks for self service which was handy.

The room was a bit smaller than I expected. There was no kettle in the room which was very disappointing, especially as this was the most expensive accommodation I stayed in Sri Lanka yet it was the only place not to provide one. Air con wasn't super effective, room was still quite warm, but just about did the job! The upper rooms have a wonderful terrace but no furniture to sit on, only one bean bag per room - some small tables and chairs (and kettle in the rooms!) would elevate this property to be perfect.

This was my third time staying at Villa Fauna and it never fails to feel like a home away from home. The staff are amazing and friendly, the pool is pristine, the rooms are kept immaculate and serviced daily, and it’s in the perfect location- easy walk to the Main Street but far away enough that it’s a peaceful oasis in the trees.

Beautiful and clean rooms. Good location, not far from the beach, quiet environment. Very kind staff, warm people. You can order breakfast and dinner at the hotel, or just near it there are some other good options.

Comfortable stay, close to surf spots by a short tuktuk ride. staff was super nice and helpful. the breakfast was nice and prepared with care. rooms are comfortable, with both AC and fan. I didn't use the pool but it looked nice and clean

The villa was located a few mins off the main road with lots of places + beach that you could walk to. Staff were helpful and always at hand but not too intrusive.

Clearer payment policy and maybe some additional pillows in the bedroom.

The location, the yard, the people and the pool! Really lovely place! Family friendly. We arrived really early in the morning and they accommodated us.

Only thing, some of the facilities could have been cleaner and a renovated. But not a big problem. :)

Beautiful place to relax after a surf! In the pool, under the beautiful trees. Staff were so friendly and food was great! And walking back along the track after a sunset surf, surrounded by fire fly's was pretty special. Highly Recommend

Amazing villa in beautiful surroundings. Beach and town centre within walking distance. The room exceeded my expectations. The staff was service minded and attentive, and the food was incredible. Try Roshan's rice and curry if you stay here. The pool was perfect for hot days under the sun. Will definitely come back!

The place was absolutely stunning, with a clean outdoor area with pool and a beautiful room with a/c. It is located in walking distance from the beach, and is very quite and relaxing. The staff was lovely and made us feel so welcome. If we needed anything they were there to help at once! This place really gives you value for your money!!! (the place also has a generator, so when there are planned power cuts you still have power!!)

We did not have any negative experiences here!

Breakfast was amazing

Villa Fauna is an oasis of well-being. The garden with swimming pool, lounge and hammock invites you to relax. The large dining area is perfect for barbecues and shared curry dinners. The service is courteous and very friendly, Debby and Matt are great hosts and have great tips for exploring the area. The food is excellent and varied and when the team serve cocktails, no wish is left unfulfilled. Drinking water is included in the price and cold soft drinks are available for a small fee, as is a delicious espresso with foamed milk. Thanks to the in-house generator, powercuts can be bridged well and the wifi is stable. A nice surf spot is within walking distance and a few cafés are worth a visit.

I spent several weeks in the Villa Fauna and my whole stay was just perfect. The location of the villa is super nice and in a very quiet area, but still easy to reach to beach and city. The stuff is always super friendly and is taking care of all the needs of their visitors. They are serving an incredible breakfast every morning and are always super supportive, whenever I had any question or request. I would always book another holiday at this place, I had an unforgettable vacation there.

I couldn’t be more satisfied. The Villa is really nice and bright. Everything is well kept. The two locals who work at the Villa got all the contacts, know-how and information about how to arrange things. They helped organize my trip around the island with busses, safari and such. The two german hosts are super welcoming and great if your new to the arrea. They can show you where to surf and what market/party is happening when. The Villa is a few hundreds m from the main road so it’s super quiet at night! I worked remotly from the Villa which work great. Internet is fast and they can also put in a wifi-booster in the room. There’s desks in the rooms. The breakfast is superb! And Rashan also makes a mean Curry for dinner if you ask him!

The only downside I can think of is if you want to be super close to the main road / bars. You would have to walk a little bit. I rented a scooter through the Villa and then I think the location couldn’t be better tbh.
