We hebben 3 hele fijne nachten gehad en zouden deze accommodatie zeker aanraden! De kamer is mooi, comfortabel en hygiënisch. We kregen elke ochtend een uitgebreid ontbijt met variatie. Het personeel was vriendelijk, goed bereikbaar en behulpzaam. En het uitzicht is prachtig! Met elk soort weer 🌨️🌞

Het uitzicht vanaf het balkon en kamer met grote ramen was prachtig. Je kijkt uit op de Ella Rock en Little Adam's Peak. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en werd elke ochtend op je terras geserveerd. Vriendelijk personeel. Prima ligging, op een kleine 10 min naar het centrum.

Het enige minpuntje is dat je badkamer vrij nat wordt tijdens het douchen (er is geen douchegordijn oid).

Heel erg vriendelijke mensen die met vanalles geholpen hebben (kleding wassen, scooter huren, taxi). Ruime kamer, modern, met erg groot balkon met een fantastisch uitzicht. Elke ochtend heerlijk variërend ontbijt op het terras met zonsopgang. Ter info: wij liepen altijd naar het centrum en dat was ongeveer 25 min met best wat hoogtemeters. Op de weg kom je een leuke plek tegen voor lunch/koffie. Je kan natuurlijk ook gewoon een tuktuk nemen. En er is een ventilator en geen airco. Dit is meestal prima maar op een warme dag kan het wel warm worden op de kamer.

Das beste an der Unterkunft ist meiner Meinung nach die wunderschöne Aussicht! Man kann sich kaum „satt“ sehen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und wird von einer sehr netten und zuvorkommenden Familie verwaltet. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und jeden Abend wird mit dem Gastgeber eine Uhrzeit für das Frühstück vereinbart. Check-in und Check-out waren unkompliziert. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

Kleine Anmerkung: Nur Barzahlung (Wir haben es auf der Booking Seite übersehen). Eine Klimaanlage wäre schön, da es hinter der Glasfront sehr warm wird, sobald die Sonne aufgeht:)

Het uitzicht is geweldig. Het is 25 minuutjes lopen naar Ella, of een paar minuten met de tuktuk. Het ontbijt is prima en schone kamer, met lekkere badkamer. Het contact met de host is ook goed, ze regelde zelfs een glutenvrij ontbijt

Es wurde sich super lieb um uns gekümmert. Wir brauchten für unseren Ausflug ein privates Taxi, das ohne Probleme für uns organisiert wurde. Selbst ein Wäscheservice gab es. Das Frühstück war super lecker!

Wir hatten 2Wespen in unserem Zimmer, obwohl Türen geschlossen waren.

Wunderschöne Aussicht, leckeres Frühstück, super Gastgeber! Für jedes Anliegen ein offenes Ohr gehabt und ohne Zögern Hilfe angeboten.

Der Ausblick hat uns besonders gut gefallen und die Abwechslung vom Sri-lankischen Frühstück. Es war so lecker. Die Unterkunft punktet sehr mit der Glasfront und den dazugehörigen Ausblick, atemberaubend. Es war jederzeit sehr sauber. Unser Gastgeber Isuranga war per WhatsApp erreichbar. Jegliche Wünsche oder Anliegen kann man ansprechen und wurden erfüllt. Ich empfehle diese Unterkunft sehr und hoffe, dass die Gastgeber weiterhin viele Gäste haben.

Die Aussicht war wirklich phänomenal schön, man könnte den Zug sowie einen Wasserfall sehen. Der Sri lankische Frühstück war sehr sehr gut, immer abwechslungsreich & frisch. Es gab immer eine Ei-Variante mit frischen Früchten, einem Juice & Kaffee/ Tee. Das Personal war immer freundlich mit einem Lächeln & man hat sich wohl gefühlt.

Eine zusätzliche Ablage für Klamotten etc. wäre hilfreich. Den Handtuchständer haben wir nicht benutzt & ist eigentlich überflüssig.

The breakfast was outstanding and the view is amazing as the sun rises. You can also catch a glimpse of the train heading into Ella too.

Alojamiento bastante nuevo y bien cuidado, con vistas espectaculares (sobretodo para el amanecer) de Ella Rock. El desayuno era abundante y muy rico y el trato personal fue estupendo. Esta bien ubicado pero, lógicamente, para tener esas increíbles vistas tiene que estar en alto, lo que implica que para subir desde el centro de Ella compense coger un tuk tuk. No tienen pago con tarjeta.

Complesso di camere tranquillo e gestito dall’adorabile famiglia di Isuranga e Lakmali. La vista dalle camere è molto suggestiva, sulle verdeggianti montagne di Ella. Deliziosa la colazione, decisamente il momento più apprezzato della giornata (gli hoppers mi sono rimasti nel cuore!) servita nel terrazzo della propria camera. Nelle vicinanze ci sono 2/3 ristoranti validi, mentre per arrivare in centro è consigliabile prendere un tuktuk (la strada è ripida e con tornanti, non è molto sicuro andare a piedi, anche visto il traffico). Inoltre, Isuranga ci ha procurato un tuktuk per tutto il giorno, una grande comodità che ci ha permesso di visitare i luoghi d’interesse!

Die Unterkunft ist absolut außergewöhnlich! Traumhafte Aussicht und alles sauber. Das Frühstück ist absolut ausreichend und sehr lecker. Es ist alles mit sehr viel Liebe hergerichtet.

Der Weg zur Aloft ist etwas steil. Wenn man nicht gut zu Fuß ist, ist dies etwas beschwerlich. Aber ansonsten keine Mängel, war alles toll! 😍

The room is very nice, you have a very nice view and can enjoy the early sunrise. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always there to assist you. You can walk to Ella centre (approx. 25minutes) but keep in mind from Ella to Aloft the road is uphill. You can always take a tuk tuk of course.

A marvelous place. In the middle of a kind of jungle where you can see and hear a lot of birds, monkeys and other animals. You can see the sunrise from your room, in which all walls are actually a glass from ceiling to floor, or from the balcony. The room is very simple. Breakfast is OK. It is a kind of home-stay where the host are very kind and children are around. The view is actually everything. I don't remember a place in the world with such view. It covers any other issue.

The shower is a minus. Low running water, ans sometimes no hot water.

The place is very nice, well maintained and has an amazing view. We stayed there for 2 nights, which was not enough! On the first day I fell on Ella rock, and unfortunately I had to go to the hospital. The owner went with us and stayed with us the whole day! He and his family were very kind and caring for us, which we cannot thank them enough for. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Wow what a view. It is as good as it looks on the booking platform. If you like out of the way and peace and quiet it is for you. Big bed, really comfortable, wonderful large terrace so even if it is raining (which we had) you can still sit outside and soak in the atmosphere. Easy walk to restaurants for evening meal.

A small kitchen area would have been a bonus. People would stay longer if there was more self catering facilities. Music from NEW Restaurant nearby spoilt our evening one night.

The family who owns the property is sweet, kind and accommodating. Te view of the surrounding area is beautiful. Breakfast was good and healthy, however the property is hard to acces after sunset (on top of the hill & no parking available)

This is a very nice guesthouse ; exceptionally clean and with beautiful views of Adams Rock from the balcony and the room. We had a very nice breakfast and the hosts were most helpful. Good value!

un po’ in discesa quindi se si arriva in macchina bisogna caricarsi i bagagli a piedi.

Es EL SITIO para alojarte en Ella, volvería sin dudarlo. Las vistas son increíbles y la habitación es súper grande, muy cómoda y todo acristalado para tener una vista panorámica de las vistas. Los dueños muy amables nos ayudaron a alquilar moto el día que llegamos y nos prepararon unos desayunos muy ricos en la terraza de la habitación que junto con las vistas hicieron que los dos días que nos quedamos allí empezaran muy bien :) La ubicación es perfecta también, en menos de 10 minutos en moto estás en el centro de Ella (y si no tienes moto como nosotros no pasa nada porque hay muchos tuktuks que te llevan y te traen). Está muy bien situado para ir a ver todas las zonas de Ella. Lo recomiendo al 1000%.

Lo único malo era que la ducha no tiene punto medio (o es muy difícil dar con él) o sale el agua fría o extremadamente caliente, pero para un par de días tampoco es un gran problema.

Hotel familiare, gestito da una coppia di persone gentilissime e di un’ospitalità incredibile! La posizione appena fuori dal centro di Ella ma immersa nel verde, che da la possibilità di svegliarsi nella natura più totale e gustare il panorama… La colazione la portano in camera (adibiscono il tavolo del balcone) ed è buonissima, essenziale ma davvero ottima e con una vista impagabile

Meravigliosa stanza con vista mozzafiato! Impagabile! Struttura pulitissima, letto comodo, stanza silenziosa e fresca la sera e la notte. Fuori dal caos di Ella, il centro si raggiunge in 15 minuti a piedi in discesa. In alternativa ci sono tantissimi tuk tuk. Consiglio assolutamente a chiunque debba soggiornare ad Ella! Nel mio viaggio è stata una delle migliori scoperte. Unica nota per i viaggiatori: si può pagare solo in rupie locali, non con carta di credito o bancomat.

The view and the location is excellent. Waking up to the views of the mountains and the waterfall was unbeatable. The breakfast was perfect. Isuranga, the host was amazing. He took us to Yala and stayed on the safari all day with us. He made sure that everything about our stay was amazing and then took us to Arugum Bay at the end of our trip.

The view and the lovely hosts who were always around to support was a gift. We couldn’t do so much in Ella because we got sick but the hosts completely cared about us and did everything that we get better asap. Thank you for all the delicious cooking and always be there if we needed something. Really appreciate! Because of our sickness, we really enjoyed to be completely private - with an outstanding view :) It was the best place to recover. It is close to the city and other sightseeing points in Ella. We would stay definitively again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment provides a great view over the valley and you will always start your day with a nice and fresh breakfast from the host. It was even possible to provide wishes for the food. Thanks a lot 😊

We stayed in Aloft view for 3 nights and it was amazing, Isuranga was extremely helpful. He helped us with your train tickets, he organised a Tuk Tuk taxi into the centre every evening and organised laundry service for us. The views from the room are spectacular, especially at sunrise. We got a lovely breakfast each morning with fruit and juice and it was different each day so we got to try loads of new dishes. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Ella.

Fantastic views and great breakfast. Really lovely and helpful hosts. Happy to organise transport and activities. About a 20-25 minute walk into the centre of Ella or a quick tuktuk costing around £1.30. Much nicer than staying in the centre of busy Ella! The water temperature for the shower was unpredictable - either boiling hot or freezing cold! There was also some building work going on so a little less privacy but this will be great once it’s finished! Would definitely recommend and stay again :)

The hotel was clean and comfortable, making our stay very pleasant. The view was absolutely breathtaking, adding to the overall experience. The laundry service was excellent and well-prepared, which was very convenient. Additionally, communication with the owner was immediate and hassle-free. The only downsides were that we didn’t have hot water for one night, but the owner immediately tried to fix the issue. The breakfast was just okay. Also, they are building additional floors upstairs, so construction noise could be heard in the morning.

There was construction work going on above us whilst we were there and the glass windows mean the room isn’t very private. There is only one guest room at the property. You are dependent upon a Tuktuk getting to and from the property and the pickup app in Ella is useless and there is so much demand the Tuktuk drivers don’t even bother negotiating for rides so travel around works out more expensive than other areas we stayed in.

Room with amazing view! We had a great time. Owners are the nicest people, every morning we enjoyed delicious breakfast from our balcony with a view on a judge and mountains. Highlight of our trip.

A really clean and comfortable room with a stunning view! Isuranga and his wife are also amazing hosts and were really kind and helpful at all times. Also the breakfast was really great and was served to the balcony of our room. The town is only 20min away by feet or max. 10min by a Tuc Tuc

The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning! In the night you can also see many bright stars. Comfortable and large bed, enough space for the suitcases and a very decent bathroom. The owners are very friendly, let us choose which breakfast we wanted, arranged tuk tuks and a laundry service for us. We felt very comfortable and welcomed.

It was very difficult to regulate the water temperature of the shower: either too cold or too hot.

Aloft view was perfect for our stay in Ella. The views were priceless over the mountains and the city and since it is a 5min ride away from the city center it is very quiet up there. It was incredibly clean in comparison to other places we stayed in Sri lanka and also offered shampoo, shower gel, a hair dryer, kettle and a smal fridge. The WiFi was good and the hot water in the shower came quickly. The owners of aloft view are super kind and accommodating, they organized tuktuks and laundry service for us. The breakfast was homemade and very delicious. I read a comment here about privacy; it is next to a small way but there are not many people coming by, since it is not even big enough for cars. We really enjoyed our stay here and say thanks to Isuranga and Lakmali for their hospitality and their good advice for restaurants and sightseeing places🙏

The only improvement could be an AC but Ella is in the mountains so the weather is mostly not very hot.

The view is amazing from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and large. Owners organised tuk tuks, taxis etc which was helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and different each day. It's peaceful and a nice rest compared with busy Ella town.

The accommodation is a stand alone apartment rather than a hotel with facilities. You request breakfast time each evening for the next morning, you order tuk tuks from staff when you need them. You aren't really able to pop into town on a whim as it's quite far out. This isn't intended as a complaint as such, but it's important to know as you may not want this whilst on holiday. The shower has been complained about multiple times in reviews but is still poor. We ordered a meal the first night as it looked great from previous photos but we received more of an Uber Eats takeaway in a box which was disappointing.

Lovely place with stunning views. Hosts were very nice and thoughtful (we drove back in the rain one day and they’d kindly moved my shoes from an area they would have got soaked). Very close to town (about 7mins by tuk tuk) but lovely and peaceful.

A simply unique location and view: essentially a glass box on stilts. You find yourself actually looking down on the hills around Ella along with the circling birds of prey, and on a clear day out towards the south. Breakfast (served on our verandah) was excellent too. Eating whilst absorbing the views made for a pretty wonderful start to the day.

Access is via quite a steep track down and then up a steep flight of concrete steps adjacent to the accommodation. These weren’t walled in and had no handrail. None of this presented a great problem for us but may do for less mobile travellers. The overall experience was so remarkable though that these minor issues were quickly and easily outweighed.

1. No privacy Don't be tricked by photos as it happened with us. Looking to a photos you could imagine, that you will stay privately somewhere in the woods with a perfect view. But it is not actually true. The apartments are near owners house and people are moving back and forth (you could see in the photos), so if you'll want a privacy you should leave curtains shut, because house is not high enough. 2. No sound isolation at all We booked apartments for two nights and both days we were awakened at 7:00 am by the sounds nearby. There were constructions work in the territory, music, people scream and car rides nearby. The feeling that you are sleeping outside. If you would like to have a good sleep this place is not for you. 3. No air conditioner

View, watch the sunrise from bed, tucked away up on the hill get tuk tuk down town is cheap. Small little fridge, tea coffee, breakfast lovely each morning.

The property was lovely , surrounded by glass you had the most amazing views across the valley and town below and you could also just make out waterfall across the valley and train when it weaves its way around the hills . Wake up early to amazing sunrises or at night watch some stunning storms come across . The apartment had a lovely balcony to have your breakfast on each morning which was superb and plentiful. The owners were so polite , helpful and knowledgeable of the area . Bathroom was great and apartment had a fridge for your drinks etc . Would highly recommend staying there .

Only slight down point was just perhaps a wardrobe to hang your clothes during your stay there .

The best view ever! Such an amazing experience waking up to the sunrise and seeing that view from the bed. The owner made dinner for us and it was one of the best meals we have had during our travels, the breakfast was also super good. Room was very clean and new, no AC, but we didn't need it, the fan was enough. I would totally go back to this place if I went back to Ella. It's so worth it.

A little bit far from downtown, but not an issue if you take a tuk tuk, it's around 7 minutes to get there.

This was by far our favourite place we stayed in during our entire trip of Sri Lanka. The view from the room is incredible. The room itself was comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. The owners are also super friendly, chatty and kind. They responded to all of our questions and needs very promptly and gave us very good suggestions of restaurants/things to do during our stay. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Ella. 10/10!

This accommodation is wonderful. The views are spectacular, you can wake to watch the sunrise. The owners are unbelievably helpful and could not have been better, from serving the most fantastic breakfast each morning - each day a different offering to organizing laundry service and taxis. The location is away from the craziness of the main drag in Ella, but cheap and quick into town if needed. There is a local restaurant but we also had dinner at the accommodation two of the evenings which was wonderful. Couldn't recommend it enough.

The shower is a bit problematic in terms of a consistent temperature.

Honestly our favourite place we've ever stayed - cannot stress enough - book here if you are going to Ella!! The room is a private little glass haven in the mountains. The view at sunrise and breakfast on the balcony was just wonderful; the hosts are so kind and welcoming. Up in the mountains so a bit away from the main town (15 minute walk down and a 5/10 minute TukTuk back up) but it is worth it. Made our time in Ella really special
