Wonderful location. Excllent accomodation. Very helpful host.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with everything you could need for a longer stay. Beds were very nice and the neighborhood is quiet. The host was kind and friendly (and the cat was cute). It's in a great spot for exploring the whole city. The air conditioner and fans were very welcome for the 90 degree days we encountered.

The stairs to the upstairs bedroom could be tricky if you have limited mobility, but otherwise wonderful.

The location was absolutely perfect. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint. Located conveniently near mass transit. The facilities were very clean. All modern conveniences were provided. The owners we're exceptional accommodating.

If you are really to paint me into a corner to pick something, it would be the location of the mini split.. A/C.

Ein Parkplatz wäre natürlich super gewesen, aber in Amsterdam ist das selbstverständlich nicht möglich. Von daher fünf von fünf Sternen.

Perfect location for our weekend break. The flat was beautifully furnished with everything we needed.The beds were comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean.Great location for walking around the city and easy to get to from Schipol. Our host met us and was extremely helpful. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Nothing, but some people might struggle with the stairs to the upper floor. It wasn't a problem for us.

Lovely spacious apartment. Airy and light filled with courtyard garden. Everything you could need…very well equipped. Lovely helpful hosts with excellent communication. They kindly stored our bags for our evening departure.

Rien. Tout était très bien pour 2 couples. A signaler qu'à l'étage la "rambarde" de la mezzanine est en cordage (donc souple) et assez basse : Non adapté à de jeunes enfants en âge de marcher ou de chahuter.

Bed of Roses was perfect for our family. The host met us and explained everything about the unit, and provided an extra (and comfortable) bed since our two young adult sons were sharing the downstairs room. Everything was really clean and the kitchen well equipped. Loved the upstairs bed that tilted up for reading! Shower had great pressure and hot water. We didn;t use the courtyard much since it was cold end of March but being back off the street was very nice. Location was amazing, on a quiet street in the Jordaan neighborhood, we walked to everything (25 minutes walk or easy tram to the Rijksmuseum) and there are many many restaurants within a few blocks.

We liked everything about it.

Personal opinion but didn’t like the bathroom & toilet off the kitchen felt too public

Nice big apartment. With upstairs lounge, Garden area nice. Quiet area of city with 20 minutes walk along canals and past interesting shops to most attractions

The one flight of stairs are very steep for lifting suitcases up.

Absolutely great place with a lovely and helpful host and great value. The location was also great, close enough to a lot of stuff but very quiet and relaxed. Would definitely recommend.

The only niggle I had was the lack of good lighting to do my makeup.

Pas de chauffage mais une Clim chauffante et 2 petits souffleurs d’appoint bruyant. Au final nous avions bien chaud avec les 2 souffleurs mais pas idéal. Petits détails à revoir: Pression d’eau de la douche basse et chasse d’eau se rempli très très lentement. Mais sinon tout était parfait.

Very Nice location in the center of Amsterdam close to major interests points. Clean, very functional for a family, we highly recommend !

Just a toilet in the upper part would have been convenient but it removes nothing from the great experience we had!

Bed of Roses worked really well for us as a family with young adult kids. It was a great location, quiet but easy to walk to everywhere we wanted to: bars, restaurants, shops, museums, canals, the station and exploring generally. It was lovely having a whole spacious apartment and handy that the toilet was separate from the shower room given four of us were sharing. It was great having a well stocked kitchen and dining table and the coffee machine was a real bonus! The lounge area was lovely and cosy too. We loved having a home-from-home for a few days. A real gem! In terms of layout, one bedroom was downstairs as was the kitchen/diner, shower room and toilet while the second room was upstairs as was the lounge which was open like a mezzanine. Unfortunately, it won't let me upload more photos of the property.

We stayed in December when it was cold. The lounge was nice and warm but the other rooms were a bit on the cold side. Also, the stairs were typically Dutch and steep which might not suit everyone but wasn't an issue for us.

The apartment was roomy, clean and in a wonderful location. Communication from Wilma was clear and timely and she provided us with excellent recommendations on things to do whilst in Amsterdam. An added bonus was that we had visits from their gorgeous little cat which helped some home sick kids miss their pets a little less!

It was a nice place to stay

No oven, few power points (eg not one in bathroom to dry hair). Coffee machine worked intermittently so it took time to get a coffee. Also stove top seemed to work intermittent.ly. Toaster, electric jug & microwave ok. Dishwasher had controls inside the dishwasher & must have stopped itself & opened door while we were out.

It was quite yet well connected to all happening areas. Easy access to public transportation. The hosts were very helpful . Came home with fond memories

Nous avons passé 4 jours merveilleux dans ce superbe appartement au cœur d’Amsterdam. Le logement est spacieux, très bien équipé avec une cuisine pratique, et surtout très calme grâce à son emplacement dans le quartier paisible de Jordaan. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le joli jardin avec sa table et ses chaises, idéal pour se détendre ou prendre un apéritif. René, le propriétaire, nous a réservé un accueil chaleureux et a pris le temps de tout nous expliquer. Nous repartons ravis et recommandons vivement ce logement !

The apartment was in a great location, residential but within an easy walk to the busy areas of Amsterdam. And I loved having an outside garden space :)

Upon our initial arrival, the apartment had a ‘basement’ feel. Once we got used to this, it was a great place and we enjoyed our stay.

The property was spacious and had a beautiful garden. The check-in and out very easy and Annemarie was very helpful and accomodating. The location is excellent and we would highly recommend.

Location was good, nice spacious apartment. Hosts are lovely. Netflix account to watch on the tv as well as internet was also great 😊

Would have loved a washing machine and an oven, but other than that the apartment was great.

Rene the host was very kind and helpful. Advised us about the bus back to Schiphol during the 750th anniversary celebrations in Amsterdam. Normally would be a very good location but due to the roadworks on the Rozengracht we had to use some alternative trams/buses to get around (obviously no fault of the host). Good facilities in the apartment and in a quiet location.

Some more pillows for the beds would have been appreciated.

The property is beautiful and Rene was very helpful and friendly , going out of his way to make our stay an amazing one. The beds are very comfortable and the garden is a lovely addition , highly recommend .

I cannot fault bed of roses,

Spacious, clean, with a very well-equipped kitchen and all toiletries/ linen provided. Really close to city centre on foot and tram stop just around the corner. Friendly owner lives next door but never disturbed us, and responded really quickly to texts when we arrived. Lovely place!

The stairs to lounge and bedroom are steep and curved. Slightly more expensive than we wanted, but was worth every penny !

Everything! The garden is such a vibe and the apartment is very huge and cozy. We were really really happy with the apartment you can’t miss if you book it. They even have netflix if you wanna chill in the evening after a long day of sightseeing.

The place was spacious and clean, great to come back to after hours of walking, and there were extra touches such as tea and coffee provided. The host was lovely and we were also able to leave our luggage there after checkout on the last day. There was a great little Dutch pub around the corner that we stumbled across on our last day Cafe Pierewaaier!

It was a bit of a walk to get places but I think that’s the nature of Amsterdam, and we preferred that over having a small hotel room

We Love our Stay ! The owner was super fiendly and the comunication was a 10! The house is SUPER nice with a garden on backward . no ruids, well cleaned and the beds and pillows deserve a maximum note. well located and with all amenities we need Higly recomended ! we enjoy alot

Our family of four adults (my husband, two sons in their 20s, and me) had a wonderful stay at Bed of Roses. The hosts were communicative, helpful and friendly. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, and the decor and layout was cool. The fact that it had two levels made it feel spacious. The neighborhood felt safe, and had such a great vibe. It was centrally located and we found it to be a great home base for our stay in Amsterdam. We would love to stay again!

Our host Wilma went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Allowing us to drop off our bags early and us a late checkout. Close to everything you need restaurants, bars, cafes and supermarkets This is one of the best apartments I have ever stayed at. Cannot recommends that highly enough... 10 out if 10!!!

There was two separate bedrooms, separate living room and separate toilet and bathroom, as well as some cooking equipment for the kitchen. The large entrance hall gave plenty of extra under cover space on rainy days. The large window let in heaps of natural light even on cloudy days. The books, games, maps, wifi and Netflix gave us plenty to do when not out sightseeing around Amsterdam.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and is located close to shops including grocery and restaurants and an easy walk to all the city attractions. Our host Rene met us at the apartment and walked us through all the features and also gave us info on the local area which was a great help.

As this apartment has one bedroom upstairs ( and was advertised as a loft ), the stairs are a challenge with large suitcases.

Great location! Handy to get around, yet in a quiet, safe area. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

The apartment was spotless, warm and very comfortable. It was a very central location but also quiet. We could walk everywhere.

Extra towels would have been a nice bonus but otherwise it was just perfect.

Everything. The location is handy everything is nearby or only a couple of tram stops away. There is a stunning little restaurant that does local cuisine not far called Bistro Amsterdam. The beds were amazing the courtyard is a lovely touch one of the best places I have stayed my whole trip.

We are a family of four, and the actual accommodation experience was represented in the advertised image. The home was spacious & spotless and our host Rene, very informative and helpful. (with delicious coffee and tea left for our stay) The location was incredible, in the Jordaan art district, close to the tram line, a quick walk to the Anne Frank House and Canals, and an enjoyable distance to Dam Square & shopping along Kalver Straat. (with interesting shops, cafes and art displays on route) I would definitely recommend Bed of Roses if you are wanting to visit Amsterdam and have a catering option.

Fantastic location, lovely apartment and the host was incredibly helpful. We visited Amsterdam with friends from New Zealand whose parents had been born there and it was their first visit. Everything about the trip could not have been better. We will definitely stay at Bed of Roses again when we next visit Amsterdam.

Having some milk in the fridge for a cuppa when we arrived. But apart from that everything was perfect and we enjoyed our stay.

This is a great little house with everything you need. Very roomy if you have a family. Host is very friendly and accommodating!

There are very steep steps up to 2nd bedroom so not ideal for people with mobility issues or families with very small children. This didn’t bother us as we travelled with a 8 and 11 year old.

Spacious, clean, friendly host, good location, lovely accomodation. We got to centraal station at 4pm, and tried to get a taxi to the Bed of Roses - all the taxis were trying to charge us 45 euros so we ended up walking. Didn't take us too long, around 25 mins, we only had backpacks and we enjoyed the walk. When we got there, we were met by a very friendly host, who showed us around the property. Very clean, dishwasher, coffee maker, and cooking equipment (we didnt eat there - but we could have if we had wanted) Highly recommend this place, its bigger than I expected and there is wifi, Netflix and YouTube.

The location is excellent, in a residential neighborhood walking distance from many things and just a minute’s walk to an intersection with several tram stops. It was even possible to buy our daily tram tickets at a kiosk there. The apartment was perfectly appointed with everything we needed, even a market cart for buying groceries at the nearby shop. The WiFi was very good and the beds were really comfortable. It was nice to have privacy and room for our multi-generational family to spread out. Also, it is just a “cool” living space, modern and with interesting decor.

The overhead light in the kitchen was very dim, which was a bit annoying because we spent a lot of evening time there playing games and planning the next day. Additional lighting in that room would be nice. Otherwise there is nothing negative to say. We loved it. It was a bit of a splurge but in the end we felt that the location and the ability to cook meals at home saved us time and money and so it was worth the expense.

Excellent apartment that was in a great neighborhood. Very walkable to all the highlights, and near a team/bus station for those longer trips. The hosts were super friendly and responsive, and they had a crib for our infant. B
