Reviewed Sep 14, 2026We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast lodge. The place was peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere made us feel right at home. The hospitality was exceptional, and every little detail made our stay special. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily recommend this lovely lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. We can’t wait to visit again!

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026The location was excellent as we were watching a sporting tournament just down the road at Michaelhouse school. The accomodation is set in the lovely midlands meander so surroundings were stunning. Although we didn't use it, the firepit outside and the wood they provide for it is a nice touch.
Decor is a little dated, but that is not unusual in the Midlands. It was however perfectly comfortable. The access is perfectly good for cars, but a little sketchy for motorbikes, although I am sure that is a me problem.

The breakfast was excellent with muesli cereals fruit yoghurt juices muffins lovely fresh bread coffee tea and a full English breakfast was served. Excellent location and such good suggestions for exploring the area. The room / our cottage was exactly as per the photos. It was spotlessly clean with beautiful white linen and electrical blankets.
There was really nothing that we did not like.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026The location is to find and Lorraine was very clear in her communication. It is a great family place, happy to have been accommodated at short notice. Within 10 to 20 minutes of all the amenities you might need.
A fireplace would be great, most places we have stayed in the area have a fireplace for the very cold Midlands winters. But the electric blankets helped.

She knows her surroundings in the Midlands very well and make excellent meandering trip recommendations. The space in the room was wonderful. Fantastic breakfast and more than enough. Warm and comfy stay.
They are busy with maintenance and could the worker be better managed to get back to the outside of breakfast area after breakfast was served.

We stayed in The Stables a family unit that was well appointed and beautifully decorated. The electric blankets and wall heaters kept us cosy during a really cold snap while we were there.
