Quiet and comfortable room. Very welcome staff.
Minor things. Would like more towels (only one each, no hand towels) and a welcome bottle of milk/biscuits would be a nice thought for travellers. Fridge was so cold it froze the milk but seemed to be adjusted on second day.
Location was good, staff in the pub were great, especially with the kids.
The room was a bit unclean. The floor was dirty - the kids walking around in socks meant the sole of the socks were almost black. Lots of cobwebs around the entrance, and a few inside in the corners, around light fittings and windows etc.
Stayed in bridal suite Amazing room, amazing staff and amazing food 10/10
External disabled facilities- gravel not ideal for trying to push a wheelchair on.

Did not have the breakfast as am vegetarian and gluten free so nothing much for me to eat
lots of stains on the bedding!! This was very off putting. Cleaner was lovely and changed them. Even new ones had a few stains on - maybe look at who washes then for you as cant hide stains on white bedding. Sadly the disabled room was booked so couldn't access the shower, but I was aware of this when I booked
There was nothing to like about this property. I booked this property for my friends but they could not stay there. They had to book another property on the Knight which cost much more money.
My friends arrived at the property at 5pm they got changed and ready to come out to a 70th birthday celebration meal around 5:45pm. The car park was full of people untethering horses and ponies from traps, horse boxes and cars were blocking the exit of the car park. Horses were wandering and grazing. They went to the staff and asked was this wedding party and was told no it was a party in their barn. It was chaos and our friends missed the first course of our celebration dinner as they could not get out of the car park for 45 minutes due to ponies horses traps horse boxes and cars blocking their exit. They were concerned about staying somewhere where the staff were not were not in control of the clientele or the situation. What would have happened if an ambulance had needed access for example. When they finally got out, understandably they booked another hotel which cost £150 rather than £106 as it was booked on the day. I want everyone to know that they allowed the party people to block the car park exit with their horses ponies traps and horse boxes. They allowed horses and ponies to roam loose in the car park. But more importantly there inadequate management of the situation meant our friends missed the start of a special celebration. The hotel manager was very unsympathetic to my request for refund. We cannot possibly recommend it ever for that reason.
Yhe location was great.
The room was OK but was noisy with children running around. The breakfast offering was not what we would have choosen
rooms very clean
unable to get breakfast
Clean, good space and great location for exploring the area. Really nice breakfast (not included).
Some of the furniture was falling apart.
eggs benedict on a croissant with smoked salmon was excellent. coffee also excellent
Lovely venue
For us the location was perfect for our stay. Liked the lodge style of accommodation
It's very quiet and peaceful. Newly refurbished. The high volted ceiling trap spiders moths bugs. The bed wasn't comfortable. And no hot water in the morning. The only contact was the pub and the waiter didn't seem to want to pass the message on. This wasn't just our room others commented about no hot water. The keys were at the pub and we left them there when we left but the staff were clueless on who to contact about the water problem. No reception desk, no contact details, no signs to show the way. We had an evening meal it was lovely tastie well cooked, breakfast was lovely too but the waiting time was rather long.
Bugs on the ceiling and no hot water.
Convenient location, clean and comfortable.
Moltes teranyines a l' habitació.
Lovely location, very nice rooms, the pub food was excellent along with the staff.
Only thing we would have liked was a larger bed, as we prefer king or Queen size, but the bed we had was a standard double and comfortable.
Modern and well appointed. Nice pub/restaurant on site.
Aardig personeel. Goede douche en bedden.
Het was erg warm.
Privacy, great for a short break. Second visit.
The room was well equipped for somone with access needs and having somewhere to sit outside was lovely. The pb did excellent evening meals. Very appy to recommend Crown lodges to friends and family
Schöne saubere Logde
The staff, manager and owner were incredibly welcoming. Everyone we met was so friendly and made our stay really enjoyable.
Brilliant place, really clean and tidy. Very new and modern.
Breakfast was excellent - pub was excellent - staff were wonderful, especially the young ladies 15/10
Mattress was too soft
The location
The bed was old and hard. (Poor Sleep) Tiles in shower broken and uneven Tiles were slippery when wet.
the restaurant
The pub and evening meal were excellent, fantastic staff, food was great
Unfortunately we were kept awake for a couple of hours by a party of people rowing right outside our windows, then constant banging of doors, so not great.
Cute little pub restaurant. Lovely accommodation. Lovely food
The play frame for the kids one side is almost off, if a child were to lean on it too much, it would easily fall off. Need to supervise your kids, which you should be doing anyway. Potentially an easy fix.
it's very close to Dover port and white rock beaches, is right next to their bar and restaurant.
The bed was too small, and the rooms are not soundproof at all.
Everything was fantastic as per usual
Nothing
Great location and lovely hosts
Ampia stanza accessibili per disabili. Abbastanza pulita.
Exactly as described and images accurate.
Could do with a deep clean….quite a few cobwebs
As it was a week day no breakfast available
Room was very hot although we are having a heat wave so could have done with a more powerful fan
Lodge was very clean. Had breakfast at the pub which was very good and also went in there for a sunday roast and that was excellent.
At the back of the lodges are some mobile homes and unfortunately they have the children playing on the grass which is right outside the back door of the lodges so was quite noisy one of the evenings.
Cleanliness and Staff. Quiet location.

It was a lovely lodge everything you could ask for With the heat just got a little to hot at nite and could do with some air con apart from that really lovely place to stay
Very accommodating and friendly
The location, the layout, the amenities. Parking and the quietness. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was fresh and you had everything you needed, including an iron, kettle and a fridge.
The bed was far too soft and bouncy. The front door had a section you could see right in- a tiny little curtain or some film on the glass to block the sunlight and beady eyes would be great. There was another door that only had a small curtain covering the glass (clear large pane of glass) but light was still let in. I would bring an eye mask in the spring/summer months
Was there to celebrate a wedding reception
we went there for a party. The facilities were excellent. The bar area was welcoming, The accommodation was comfortable and the barn was a great area to hold a party. We had breakfast in the morning, all the food was tasty and hot, reasonably priced too.
N/A
Clean fresh and airy, nice linen and towels, feather duvet and pillows a bonus. Only thing missing was a small table or dressing table to sit at. Small fridge in the lodge was a nice touch
A very pleasant and comfortable room ☺️ very well contained and tea and coffee facilities. The bed was comfy and clean fresh linen and towels. We have been twice and definitely visit again. The pub does fantastic food and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend this lovely place and 5 🌟
There was nothing i didn't like
Great location. We we're attending a wedding and everything was in house. The pub attached is a lovely English country pub and the staff are very helpful and efficient. We we're blessed with wonderful weather which enabled us to enjoy an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful garden setting....
Nothing negative to report
Quiet location, clean and tidy, adequate facilities
It was suggested to us on arrival that breakfast, although not included in price, would be readily available in the pub bar. However, there was no provision whatsoever, to have breakfast on site
Very peaceful
Nothing
Clean and good location. Spacious and airy
Bedding looked tired and needs replacing. No glasses in room for water.
Very quiet location, lovely clean lodges, comfortable beds and amazing food. Helpful and friendly staff.
The location particularly.
The heating was pre set at 27 degrees ( far to hot 🔥 to sleep well) and the control could not be altered even by the staff. No towel rail in bathroom or case stands in lodge.
Had a wonderful one-night stay at The Crown Inn on Saturday, staying in the HoneyBee Lodge. The room was spotless, beautifully presented, and had a really cosy, comfortable feel — ideal for a relaxing overnight break. Everything felt well looked after, and it made for a very enjoyable stay. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. The sausages were especially standout, full of flavour and good quality. I was also impressed that the eggs were cooked exactly how I asked: fried and flipped, without being overdone. That sounds simple, but it’s surprising how often places get that wrong, so it was genuinely appreciated. Overall, a lovely stay with a charming atmosphere, a comfortable room, and a breakfast that really hit the mark. I’d happily stay again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Just to add that all of your staff were a pleasure to deal with. Friendly, engaging and happy in their job. They are a credit to you.
Nothing at all.
Clean, modern accommodation. Helpful, friendly staff, and great location.
Nothing.
Stuff very friendly
The area
Breakfast was not available at The Crown on the Monday of our stay but we were recommended to go to Algar Lodge, fairly close, where the breakfast was exceptional.
We were disappointed to find that since our visit last year several chalet units had been erected at the rear of the Crown Lodges, overlooking what had been an attractive garden where one could sit outside the back door of the lodges. This new development removes what had been a view over fields, and is so close that it destroys the privacy previously enjoyed by those using the lodges to the extent that the curtains had to be drawn across the door and window for the whole time we were there.
Lovely bright lodge with a comfortable bed and everything we needed plus some outdoor seating. Lovely location. The food in the crown inn was amazing. We had dinner and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it all
Room was nice
Been booked for weeks we had a 7 hour motorcycle ride to get there then told we couldn't have a evening meal as no tables available as it was 2 busy. Then told its not that cold if we wanted to sit outside. Over £100 for 1 night we paid but they wouldn't let us eat and made zero attempt to even try and fit us in just looked after local non residents .
The location was fab, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Also the room/accomodation was perfect 😊. We will be visiting again.
Nothing it was great.
Disponibilité du personnel
Comfortable family room. Nice pub
No property curtains. We were waken up by light
Staff were very friendly, lodge was clean and comfortable . Perfect stay thank you
Nothing
We did not have breakfast as we had an early ferry, but had a lovely evening meal the night before. Lodge was clean and a good size. Bed was comfortable. There's plenty of parking which was just as well as there was an event in the barn just starting as we arrived. Very easy and short drive to Dover for the ferry.
When we stayed 4 years ago there was a lovely view across the fields behind the lodges and that has been lost due to the 4 mobile home now situated there; but I guess that's good for the business. Otherwise nothing we didn't like

Clean and modern
Location, next to the pub and restaurant
The rooms were pleasantly clean, had a few cobwebs in places. Very pleasant, quiet place to stay.
Couldn't control the thermostat in the room. But on hindsight we could have asked at the Crown lodge pub.
We didn’t eat at the pub, but judging by the fact that the dining room was very busy the food must be good. Our lodge was newly built and very clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Parking wasn’t a problem.
Can’t think of anything.
Nice size room in nice location. Ideal for the wedding we attended. Very friendly staff nice food in country pub
The shower room flooded every time we had a shower and a funny smell in the bathroom
The Crown Lodges is a lovely place to stay. It was clean, comfortable, affordable & the staff were friendly, welcoming & made the stay lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here & I would personally stay again. The rooms were warm & roomy. The breakfast was delicious.😋
The location was beautiful, the lodge was clean and airy and nice and quiet
There was a slight smell of damp from the bathroom
Lovely friendly staff who welcomed me to the property. Gorgeous food in a cosy country pub. Room was ideal for what I needed. All amenities supplied.
Nothing.
Bridal suit was lovley and clean
Lovley setting
Nothing
The cabins were too close to the huge barn in which a party was being held. The party goers continued the party outside the cabins until 4.30am. They did at one point become violent towards each other and we contemplated calling the Police. The staff were not very helpful the next day and there were no member of staff who could deal with the issues. We couldn’t wait to leave the place
Friendly staff. Breakfast and evening meal excellent.
Nothing we didn’t like.
It was a lovely setting and very quiet. Some of the staff were very helpful.
There was no table or anywhere to put things, so you had to leave everything on the floor. Ants WiFi wasn’t working No basic local information or contact details in the room
It was in an amazing location , quiet and had everything we needed. The pub food was exceptional and the manager was attentive and welcoming
There were lots of spiders on the ceiling in the room.
The location was lovely and the pub was gorgeous loved the cute way the lodges are used for guests
Bed and fittings were a little basic
Breakfast was good when available, see below.
We were dissapointed when we were told that breakfast was not available on Thursday morning as the information from Booking.com clearly stated that breakfast would be available both days at extra cost. It should have been made clear that breakfast was only available on certain days.
Lovely location, room was spotlessly clean, as described. Soundproofing really works! Staff were exceptional, friendly and attentive. We ate in the restaurant for an evening meal and two breakfasts. High quality food and service. Enjoyed the stay, thank you.
Beautiful lodges in beautiful surroundings Staff were very helpful, friendly and polite
Nothing
Comfortable, clean and lots of space. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was home cooked and delicious.
Clean comfortable room
Very noisy at 1 and 2 am this morning with doors slamming next door.
Excellent staff and outstanding breakfast..
Location great, quiet..clean room
Heating should have been put on before, it was really cold..eventually once room warmed up it was cosy It was New years eve so busy time for staff
Clean, comfortable and really convenient when attending the barn for a party to save organising transport home.
There wasn’t anything negative
It looks immaculate and the location is picturesque
Nothing
My second visit and they remember me,never had to mention my name and bar staff remember my drink, as a landlord myself this ticked all the right boxes for repeat business
Heating in room very bad
Comfortable bed. Quiet room, accessible for our wheelchair. Sunday roast in the pub was excellent, and there was a nice choice of beers and wines
The room furnishings were sparse. Bedside rugs would have been appreciated, especially in winter. The lighting was harsh. The bathroom was accessible, but the shower flooded the floor almost straight away, and there was no squeegee mop to help it drain away. It was cold when we arrived but the staff readily provided a radiator. No cooked breakfast on Mondays and Tuesdays, though we could have had a continental breakfast delivered (we didn't)
Place was nice and clean and well presented.
Left side of bed had no access to light in night, so either wake partner or stub toe in the dark. A side lamp would cover. Great shower but no soap dispenser or anywhere to put soap/flannel etc. Only one chair. Needs towel rails and hooks on back of bathroom door.
Clean and comfortable accommodation.
No sugar with tea making facilities, squeaky bathroom door. Very expensive breakfast option.
